The Gym 24 hour Spruce Grove

Fantastic experience: The Gym is a great place to work out. A variety of challenging classes, clean environment and small class sizes. The owner Bobbi cares about her clients on a personal level and is very receptive to feedback. It has been a great place to work on my physical and emotional health and I look forward to continuing my fitness journey and challenging myself with the Gym. Highly recommend. There is also excellent youth programming. I am excited to have my son start youth boxing in the new year. He is excited too and I can work out while he boxes.

Fantastic experience: I have been apart of this gym for nearly two years and have always had good service, everyone is friendly and the place is always advancing ! I recommend if you are looking for a nice place if you are in classes or just working out.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been really impressed with this boxing gym. It’s always clean and well-maintained, which is not always easy to find in this type of gym. The place smells great too, which is a nice bonus! Access is super convenient with 24-hour availability, so it fits well into my schedule. The upstairs gym has some really nice equipment, but I’d recommend having someone show you how to use it if you're unfamiliar, some machines look a bit more advanced for me. Bobbi is easy to reach via text and quick to help with any issues. Overall, it was a great experience!

Fantastic experience: The people are amazing, the gyms aren't busy, the place is clean, and if you want to get really fit add the boxing. They'll teach one on one, you can hit computerized bags that track your progress...so theres contact or NO CONTACT. Like I was at tri leisure before and this place is better. Unless you're swimming or need a track, I'd recommend this place. Tons of equipment and extremely affordable, OPEN 24/7!!!

Fantastic experience: Always a good workout!!

Negative experience: Big scam they only want your 12 month contract signed so they can collect your money. Started with this gym awhile ago and 2 month in they told everyone that the coach was getting ready to retire and only wanted to focus on those looking to compete, so everyone else wouldn't get the training that you signed up for. Wouldn't let my son take my spot or refund my money because I signed a bunk contract. If they were the best in town they certainly wouldn't only offer a 12 month contract

Negative experience: I recently had an unfortunate experience at this gym, and I feel compelled to share my thoughts. While I had initially looked forward to joining this gym for its convenient location and facilities, my interactions with the owner, Bobbi, left much to be desired. From my first encounter, Bobbi exhibited a demeanor that can be best described as unwelcoming and dismissive. I found her communication style to be abrasive and lacking in the basic courtesy one would expect from a business owner. Unfortunately, this behavior extended beyond our initial interaction, making my overall experience at the gym less enjoyable. It is disheartening to see a place that promotes health and well-being fall short in providing a positive and inclusive atmosphere due to the actions of its owner. While the gym itself may have its merits, the unpleasant encounters with Bobbi significantly overshadowed any potential benefits. I hope that The Boxing Club takes customer feedback seriously and considers implementing changes in the staff's approach to customer relations. A more welcoming and customer-centric environment would undoubtedly contribute to a more positive experience for all members. In conclusion, while the facilities at this gym may be suitable for some, my personal encounter with Bobbi left me disappointed, and I cannot fully endorse the gym based on my overall experience. Many other local gym's to support, so save your hard earned money for a gym that actually appreciates its customer base.

Fantastic experience: Great gym. Excellent customer service. Clean facility. Good quality equipment. I liked it because unlike massive franchises that are always busy, I always seemed to find that it was never overly crowded and never found myself fighting to find available equipment there.

Positive experience: This is the THIRD time the payment has gone through after I have cancelled my membership. I filled out the forms twice and three times they have charged me even after I have asked to cancel it and filled out the paperwork. EDIT: After making this review I was given a refund which I greatly appreciate, other than this kerfuffle I have a relatively pleasant experience, gym itself isn’t the greatest for more serious lifters however for more beginner lifters it is definitely sufficient. However the boxing itself was helpful and enjoyable.

Fantastic experience: The Gym I started at the Gym in February 2023 as part of a ‘Tailgate Promo’ where i got to attend for free as long as I was with a paid member. I was immediately impressed by the wide range of equipment available and the friendly staff. I then committed myself to being a paid member of the gym. My workouts are now so much better / more fun and varied. At certain times of the day i now have access to a trainer who will put me through a fun boxing circuit which pushes me harder than i usually would myself. So much more effective and enjoyable than simply jogging on a boring treadmill. The results are already showing. Thanks to Bobbi and the rest of the staff. “This is my church. Fantastic experience: I have been going to The Gym for the last few months, and have been loving it! The team is friendly, and the classes are challenging and so much fun. Bobbi is hands-on with teaching correct form and technique and I love the kickboxing class with her! Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a gym with tons of class options.

Fantastic experience: The gym spruce grove is a very respectful and warm facility to workout, very affordable and clean. I've been coming here for just over a year now and it's always a great workout sessions. The staff are very friendly and love to chat, Bobby and john are amazing people and make the workout experience more exciting. I've been to other gyms and it's silent no one talks to you or helps out as a spotter if you're by yourself. I will continue to talk positive about this gym and try to get new members as i dont believe theres a better gym to be a member of in parkland county.

Fantastic experience: The Gym is such a welcoming environment. From Day 1 I felt very welcomed and included in the community of this local gem. It's very clean and tidy, the range of machines are awesome. I love that there is an area on each floor to work out in. The classes will have you sweating in minutes!! The staff and members are so friendly that it really takes the anxiety out of being a gym newbie.

Fantastic experience: Ive been in and out of this club for years, I first attended when I was 14, overweight and as someone who had never been involved in sports. I joined the boxing program and was built from the ground up with patience and care, the owner and coaches are wonderful people and will help you work around financial situations so you can still attend during hard times. Not only did I learn the sport of boxing, I made many friends, became confident in myself and disciplined. This club has truly changed my life and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to take up boxing or wanting to better themselves.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely loved the kick boxing class. It was my first time back doing boxing in 17 years. I am proud to say that I hadn’t lost it (I’d actually gained strength) even with quite an intense workout. It works lots of muscle groups. What a great workout. I’m trying the ‘30 minute hit’ type workout next!

All the trainers are very helpful and keeps you on track by pushing you to do better. Bobbi is my trainer and shes fantastic because she knows exactly what shes doing and shes always helping me out on my form and pushing me to the max ! Negative experience: Inflexible and cold about the contract if you hit hard times, buyer beware. I contacted them to discuss possibly putting our account on hold until I could get things under control (this was during the recession a few years ago, we almost lost everything, had no choice but to cut back hard and we only had a few months left). My 15 yr old son tried to talk to them about holding the monthly fees until he found a job, got nowhere. We weren't trying to get out of anything or be unfair, just wanted a work around until our situation stabilized. Yes it's a detailed contract, yes I read it, at the time we were doing well and there were no foreseen issues. But life happens to all of us, and compassion is a choice they choose not to make. There are better options for a club out there, you don't need one that will send collections after you for services you didn't use. *Regarding the reply below, I contacted the club once by phone, explained my position and was told no, and once in person, was told no again, to my face. Both times I explained that we were having financial difficulty, so did my son. I only answered 1 call from them and that was because all they had to say was pay up or you go to collections. They were not at all willing to work with me.

Negative experience: DON’T SIGN THE CONTRACT!!! (Boxing) Here is a quick read of my experience with The Spruce Grove Boxing Club. Before attending, my wife and I recently had a baby. The tough times were near over and I was ready to commit to learning boxing skills as well as get in shape. However, I was unable to attend 4 nights per weeks as I have obligations as a father, so I attended 2 nights per week and STILL had to pay full price... This was no concern to Bobbi Bourbeau, her highly educated remarks were to bring my infant child there for the evening?? DUHH. I was able to use 2 months maybe a little more, of my 1 year membership before I was unable to attend. Work and family was starting to interfere with the program. A few months passed and I was harassed for payment each month I did not attend, I had to negotiate to simply put my contract on hold and continue to pay when timing permitted for me to use the services. The summer past and this did not occur. My wife and I had our second baby. For all of you young parents out there, you know how busy this gets. But like clockwork, Bobbi was there to desperately collect. I explained my situation and it fell on heartless, uncompassionate ears. She threatened to take this matter to collections. Money was not the issue with this situation, I just believe someone shouldn’t have to pay for something they don’t use. Tip for the Boxing Club, offer one month deals. Unless you just love robbing families for unused memberships? The monthly fee is not cheap and the main instructor donates his time!!! So for the targeted group of young families, busy with young children or a demanding career, I would recommend signing up elsewhere. In my opinion this place is for children or older individuals with no children. As I mention, I only attended half the classes per week and still had to pay full pop. Never even cut me a break, wait she said she would waive the late fees if I paid ASAP. So I did a few days later. Damn Crook in my eyes – should be wearing a mask. There is no customer service to suit the customer’s needs, no alternatives, no empathy. Just Greed – What goes around, comes around. Good Luck.

Fantastic experience: The boxing club offers so many different classes that there is something for everyone, and every staff member is fantastic and very supportive! I loved trying the kangoo jump and pound class. They also offer healthy cooking alternatives and great workout wear. Always there is something new to check out daily here.

Fantastic experience: The P90 class is the type of class that you can’t breathe when you leave. And you aren’t really sure if you and the instructor are friends off or if she just knew she could push you a little harder. But you keep coming back for more because this class makes you feel healthy and fit. If you like results I recommend attending this class. Consistency is key - -AW

Negative experience: My husband was first coaxed into signing a contract that he didnt fully understand and then when he started a out of town job a month later, he called to cancel the auto payments for his membership and It was at that point they informed him about the non negotiable 12 month contract . He went three times the first month and has been unable to make it ever since.(gone months at a time) Its been six months. They basically just laughed at me when I asked if there was anything at all they could do for us. Zero understanding and zero sympathy. Big scam far as we are concerned

Fantastic experience: I've done the gym (numerous times), boot camps and classes. This is by far the most enjoyable work out I have ever done. The trainers help every step of the way. At first I felt bad because I had no clue what I was doing but I am three weeks in now and I look forward to going. Always sore the next day which is awesome! Highly recommend On the Ropes.

Negative experience: I am an ex military member who has been to many different facilities all over the country. I called to ask about an all access membership, their top package, as there is no prices online. She was very short and rude in her tone, and advised that they usually recommend the basic package giving access to weights and something else; she began to echo badly and I could not hear her clearly, I informed of this, politely, and she HUNG up! Haha! I wasn't asking for a gym membership, I have one already. I had looked into taking up boxing, something I was familiar with already, and had used their site and decided that is what I needed. I told her this. And hanging up is the response...I'm sure they're great for some as they are highly reveiwed; however clearly some of the staff are a real 'treat'!
