Negative experience: They’ve had a cable machine out for 10 months on the purple turf, and another one was out for 4 months and was only dealt with after over a dozen calls were placed above managements head. Any claim they make that they resolve issues quickly is nothing short of a corporate lie to save face. They water down their sanitizer and force their employees to use a solution that is 99.5% water with only a capful of actual soap. They also will fire you with zero warnings if you work for them and make you register as an “independent contractor “ to make this easy. The manager has no business running a gym as she weighs 60 pounds soaking wet with bricks in her pockets, and has never touched a weight in her life. On top of this, the gym is full of idiots that don’t know how to use the equipment properly. You’ll see guys sticking plates on to pin and stack machines when any real weight lifter knows that if the machine is too easy, it’s time to move on to the free weights. Negative experience: There has been cable equipment with broken cables for over 4 months, When will this be addressed? I was told the cables were ordered 3 months ago. The gym it self is disgustingly dirty, management has taken any care on cleaning. Dirt, mice dropping, dust balls. Management closed the gym for a weekend with very minimal signage so carpet can be installed in a studio. Why would you put carpet in a studio? It will never be clean again. Management doesn’t like when issues are marked down so perhaps they can be dealt with. Barbells weights are loose. Pins falling out of multiple machines. Showers has not been cleaned in months. I’ve been a member for almost 5yrs and have visited multiple locations, Terrace BC. is by far in the worst condition out of any other locations.

Negative experience: The gym is fine until you decide to cancel your membership. Here are the steps for someone who never done this before. 1). you need to go to their website and fill out a form for cancellation. 2). You are on the hook for 2 more bi-weekly payments until they can process your "cancellation application"; 3). If you have not fulfilled the term of your contract, you can not cancel your membership until the term is up unless you pay penalty(which is fair, but good to know as I was not told so when I sign up). They truly go to town to make it as hard and onerous as possible for you to stop them from charging you. In my culture, we call that "not elegant the way they eat their meal." for that, I'd say they will not see me again.

Positive experience: Good equipment for strength and cardio. The water massage bed up front is a good option for those with back pain. Crowds aren't too bad except for after work and peak morning time. On-site manager is helpful when she is there. Site2Gym telephone support is hit and miss. Massage bed was out of service fora few monthd and they said it was not going to be fixed, but it was. Other equipment is rarely out of service. Only thing I've ever seen not working in six months is one of four bikes.

Negative experience: Horrible experience. Waited fifteen minutes for someone to talk to, only to be told that they don't provide drop ins, and that their Terrace location website is also wrong in saying 1 week free trials are an option. was then told other locations do but they don't offer either in Terrace. Also mentioned "a lot of people" mistakenly think that a week free trial is an option. Proceeded to tell me that the shortest membership is 6 weeks and requires a non-refundable $70 fob purchase. Myself and another guy looking into a membership walked out shortly after. I can't comprehend why anyone would support this place.

Negative experience: Unwelcoming and condescending Was in town yesterday from the next community over to run some errands, as I do on a weekly basis and thought I’d get a workout in while I waited for my car to be serviced. I’d heard nothing but negative reviews online but thought how bad could it be? And gave it a try. I walked in and there was no one in their customer service office. After waiting a few minutes and no one appearing I went to the changing area to get ready thinking I’d catch the service staff at some point and pay for a drop in. When I finally found someone they told me the shortest term they offer was a 6 week contract and that they did not offer drop ins or trials of any kind. The rep who was easily half my age address me as “honey” which I found offensive and condescending. Will not be returning or recommending. Edit to reply to response: Well you may want to reconsider your policies if you want to appear anything but unfriendly and elitist to the community. Drop in customers would not need to be issued a key fob as the typical workout lasts two hours or less. As for the employee’s manners, that is something you should look into if you intend to provide a professional customer service experience in the future.

Negative experience: This is a horrible company to get a membership through. They advertise a no contract option. On advertisement, it said no contract. So, that's what I went for to try the gym out. Paid just over 100 dollars for 2 weeks. Not bad price. But I decided I didn't want to continue at this gym. Thinking I didn't have a contract I didn't think I had to worry about it. I was wrong. They continued charging me and told me I had to cancel the membership. After saying that I got the no contract option advertised, they said it was in the agreement i signed and needed to read the contract better. I'm a truck driver and I don't have much time to myself. I have to go to the gym to cancel. No way to do online. So, I have to waste a 500+ day at work to go cancel the "membership" so I don't get charged for the no contract option I paid for. Customer service is horrible. And will not even try to help me cancel my membership or reverse the charges for not using the gym after the 2 weeks as I had thought it was a no contract thing. All they care about is getting money. Don't go here. All I keep getting from customer service is, "it's in the contract so you have to pay".

Negative experience: Scammers, apparently buried the detail that you will be charged for an entire month if you do not cancel auto renew before canceling membership way down in the contract, which their support then lied about sending me. Avoid at all costs. Equipment is frequently broken, of the 3 ellipticals rarely are more than 2 working and often only 1 is working. Don’t bother reporting an issue, I reported multiple times and never received any response.

Negative experience: One of the terrible service which I never received in Canada. Policies are made in way that they can screw your money. Please make sure you that you read all TERMS and CONDITIONS. I never seen anything like, a gym need a 30 day notice period to cancel. Even after my contract is completed. Which is totally unfair. Seems like they doesn’t the meaning of Contract. On the other hand, in my term I haven’t seen any fitness trainer at the Terrace branch and no virtual classes as mentioned on the website.Few weeks cleanings also not observed. If you are looking professional service this not a place their customer are terrible. Pathetic service HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND at this location.

Negative experience: Don't recommend them at all in Terrace BC.Tried to work out a drop in or a 5 day pass rate. While working here. They said no day rates and need to sign up for a month membership. If your looking for a gym with a great dropping rates go to the Fitness Centre at $5.50.

Negative experience: Quiet, nicely equipped gym and highly recommend if you like dealing with terrible customer service, hard to cancel membership, expensive membership. I got a membership a year ago, signed a contract for a year. After a year had passed and not using the membership for 10 months I decided to cancel. Unbelievably hard to cancel a membership that you yourself had upheld the contract terms and had surpassed your term of contract. Absolute joke of a company, I would tread lightly when dealing with them. Support local and go to a non-commercial gym.

Negative experience: The gym and facilities are nice however the gym etiquette from other members is atrocious. E.g. Cleaning, re-racking plates, hogging an absurd amount of dumbbells, etc.

Negative experience: Signed up for the 1 week free trail online, went to the gym and they said this gym doesn’t participate in that promotion. Asked if we could do a one day trail since we were already there. Was told it wasn’t possible. They said we could sign up and not pay anything and they would cancel the contract but upon further communication with management they said that wasn’t possible either. The only option was to sign up for a membership ($32 every 2 weeks) plus pay for a key fob for $60 and you have to give 30 days notice if you want to cancel. When we went in with the intention of trying the gym for free before committing. The gym itself is spacious and nice but I find it ridiculous that you’re not able to try it for even one day (by paying a drop in fee or free trail) before making such a big commitment.

Positive experience: Very nice facility. Has pretty much one of each piece of equipment you would need. Well organized. I don't understand the locks on the lockers and such, and we are not supposed to use our own locks so one day I'll figure it out. Showers, deadlift platform were a must for me and they have it.

As for the lockers, the built in locks have been disabled due to members forgetting the locker codes by the end of their workouts. Positive experience: I use anytime mostly for showers on the road, with locations in most cities it's easy to rely that I'll have a very nice, clean shower waiting. I use the gym more in seasonal transitions to get ready for the next sport and all of the gyms typically have the same equipment. So they have a fairly good standard across the board so far.

Negative experience: The gym might seem great when you first walk in and are actually using it for working out however trying to get ahold of anyone who can help you is impossible. You cannot go through your gym and must call in. I was charged for months that the gym was closed during COVID-19 and the gym wasn't accepting gym membership pauses or cancelations because they decided to stop taking phone calls. Not only this they proceeded to charge for the following month. When I called about it they said that they were calling the 20 days they were closed "14 days of maintenance" which they say they are allowed to do in a year, however, they weren't closed for 14 days it was 20. It wasn't for maintenance either it was government ordered. Also, did I mention I have been going to this gym for 5 years, they don't care if you have been a loyal costumer. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GYM. If you don't you won't ever be able to leave without a fight…. In response to the owners response, this was never resolved! No help was offered and the same difficult employee talks you in circles while avoiding to help you. It is eventually easier to just stay than go through the process to leave.

Fantastic experience: Just went to this gym for the first time. First impressions: clean, big, new. Definitely impressed with the equipment and cleanliness of this gym. Additionally I lost an item and didn’t realize until I got back to my vehicle. I ran back in there and asked one of the staff members who was vacuuming if she had seen it, right away she ran to the back and got it for me. All said and done I’m really pleased with my first experience at this gym.

Fantastic experience: i just new member of the gym and in past i am in another gym which is also good but this one is superb i really like to go gym on daily basis all the equipments for every part of the body and fully privacy and other facilities and i will recommend to my friends as well to join this gym for total fitness of the body. Fantastic experience: It has lots of equipment that is easy to operate for a person like myself who has a disability. Lots of washrooms and the hydromassage bed is a great feature for finishing off your workout. I have recruited many users over the five years I’ve been going.

Fantastic experience: Due to some reason my membership canceled. Then I contact to customer care and they told me, I have to pay my overdue amount. When I checked my bank details everything looks fine I paid every month. Then I visited gym and explain whole thing to MITCHELL ( gym manager). He helped me alot and fix the error for me. Positive experience: I've been to at least 10 anytimes throughout BC and Terrace has an above average selection of machines and stations. Just wish the fit wipes were properly stocked as one dispenser in the entire gym was working. Bad enough in normal conditions but with covid regs I expected a bit better. Otherwise, great gym!

Negative experience: Worst place to deal with, my under age daughter wanted to do a trial membership, was told no committee. Then the gym started to charge my daughter a monthly fee, we tried calling and leaving msgs and voice msgs stating she didn't sign up for a membership. No one responded, then my daughter received a collection notice. Again tried to call was told someone would get back to us, no one bother to return our calls. I wouldn't recommend this place at all.
Hi Kristy, We do not and have never offered trial memberships, nor do we participate in the 7-day trial. Any member who inquires about a trial membership is informed of this. We have reviewed the account and see that your daughter used the online sign-up form to sign herself up for a 6-month membership on September 23, 2020. The first field on the online sign-up form is "I am 19 years of age or older" and your daughter checked yes. The next field is "I understand that all the information entered in this form is correct to my knowledge" and again, your daughter confirmed this. We would be more than happy to share the signed form with you. After your daughter signed up for a 6-month membership online on September 23, 2020, she continued to use the club up until November 20, 2020, but did not provide a payment method for the membership. After multiple failed attempts to collect the funds, ABC sent the account to collections. We require that members under the age of 19 visit our club with their parent/guardian or provide a signed consent form from their parent/guardian prior to signing up in the club. Unfortunately, your daughter used the online sign-up form and confirmed that she was 19 years of age before signing up for a membership. Our staff did not sign your daughter up for a membership. This matter was only brought to our attention after your daughter was denied access to our club as she had failed to pay for the membership. Negative experience: It's gross. These people take high monthly charges, only have staff on hand minimal hours through the week, and call "help line" is half way around can't help resolve issues. Excited for my 1 year to expire and to join another gym. Wish zero stars was an option

Negative experience: Back in April 2020 at the beginning of the pandemic I was charged for a month while the gym was closed. I reached out to the manager and told him that I would like to cancel my membership. I had sent multiple emails as well as posted on their facebook page, as well as called and spoke to someone through their 1-800 phone line. After 2 weeks with no reply he responded that I couldn't cancel because my membership wasn't up until August 2020. I said I would ride out my contract but I wanted my membership cancelled once my contract was up. It is now January 2021 and I realized in December that they did not cancel my membership in August as they said they would and as a result have charged me almost $300 since August. These charges were to a card that is paid off and I no longer use so I didn't notice until now. I reached out to them again, asking why my membership was not cancelled and asking for a refund for the months that my membership was supposed to be cancelled for (i havent used the gym during this time because I was under the impression that my membership was cancelled). I also sent them screenshots of my multiple emails and Facebook posts from April asking for my membership to be cancelled. Again I have received virtually no response except a generic one asking me to call the 1-800 number (I have tried 3 times now, waited on hold for 20 minutes only to be sent to a voicemail system), and a second email that simply stated for me to fill out their cancellation form. Not once have they even acknowledged my concerns or offered any sort of resolution. I have given them several weeks to respond to this issue but they have not, and clearly have no intentions to. We are in the middle of a global pandemic and they have stolen almost $300 from my family and seem to be perfectly okay with it. They do not care about their members. Do not sign a contract here.

Negative experience: BEWARE I signed up for this gym a year ago and it was okay very clean and always room to work out but if you don’t read the contract properly you will be screwed and apparently the only way to cancel your membership is to get a doctor note even though you haven’t been to the gym in months I think it’s a very dumb contract policy

Negative experience: I’ll start with initial sign up. My employer had a corporate rate posted on our internal site which apparently was no longer in effect. I totally understand, but the way the manager reacted to me asking about it was rude. He scoffed and said something like “ugh are they still advertising that??” I should have known right then not to sign a contract. When the gym was ordered to shut down because of COVID, my husband and I were charged for a month that it was closed. We were told the month would be credited at the end of our contract. However, when we requested to freeze our memberships this summer, the manager said the credited month would be used for June (knowing that neither of us are comfortable going). I have a child under 1 whose health I am trying to protect, and I expressed this to the manager who did not seem to care. You would think the public health risk during a pandemic - that’s expected to carry on for at least another year - would allow you to cancel your membership. Apparently not. This gym is obviously profit over people. We regret not supporting a local gym.
Fantastic experience: I don't like a crowded gym, so I go pretty late. The gym is, of course, always open. Late at night the bathrooms and changing rooms are clean. There are so many types of machines available I can get a full workout, and there is a very large free weight section. The interactive Studio has some great exercise videos on it as well.
Positive experience: One of the better Anytime fitness locations I have visited. Second only to Prince Rupert. Lots of space and great equipment.
Negative experience: This is by far the worst company I have ever had to deal with. First bad experience I had was at the beginning of my membership, I was told lies about what I was signing and never gave them a direct deposit slip, so when I went back to cancel within the time frame and the manager wasn’t in, he never told me that you had to do it online or anything. I asked for the account to be on hold for 3 months but they never noted that on my account so then it was sent to collections and they tried making me pay almost 400 dollars in a penalty fee. After about 3 more months of fighting with them that I was on freeze they finally dropped it and told me to keep paying monthly. I was mad but I continued to pay. Now I get charged an annual fee and it went over my limit in my bank, so I have another penalty because of them, after a year and some how the hell am I supposed to remember about an annual fee??? Absolutely the worst place I have ever had to deal with, why do I have to pay an annual fee to fix equipment when I already pay 50 bucks a month!!! HORRIBLE
Fantastic experience: Is much cheaper then a lot of the other local facilities, has showers available for those whom need it. Used to give towels/soap available in for the showers but due to covid that's understandably changed. Has a good variety of equipment as well as weights for all degrees of fitness.

Fantastic experience: To many haters here, cleanest gym in town. Never have to wait for a squat/bench rack here like other gyms. Fair monthly rate, new equipment. Clean showers and bathrooms. Free classes and air conditioning. Not sure where i could start complaining.
