Negative experience: Don’t come here if you are looking for fair play. It’s a win all costs attitude. It’s just kids hockey…

Positive experience: Great place and staff.

Fantastic experience: Great venue to watch hockey.

Positive experience: Came here for my nephews hockey tournament and was impressed then not. For reference I have a invisible disability and a baby. Pros: - Loved the seating inside overlooking the rink - Staff were kind and courteous - Loved the kids room where my daughter could crawl around Cons: - Not wheelchair or stroller accessible. Asked if there was a elevator or a ramp at the front desk and lady seemed panicked that I may have a wheelchair. When I said ot was a stroller she said staff could carry it up. Thats nice but not ok for a wheelchair user. - Food and drink seemed overpriced, but this was unsurprising Overall it was ok but the fact that it isn't wheelchair accessible is not ok in 2024.

Negative experience: Keep in mind I'm only reviewing the food court, not the club. When I ordered, I asked the staff what "M" and "NM" were on the menu. “She explained: "M is a member, and NM is not a member." I said: "Then I am not a member .”(my husband is a member, but he is playing hockey and not around, so I didn't use his membership number). I felt the tone of her voice was Not very friendly either, when my son asked about the price of the drinks, then she started to express her impatience. When we finished ordering and it was the turn of the next customer, her attitude immediately changed to become friendly. I immediately thought she was impatient because I am Asian and my English is not good, and I feel race discrimination.

Negative experience: Not sure what kind of club this is that the VM says the office is open from 6am to 10pm but I've been calling their number 5 days in a row on Weekdays between the hours of 10am-4pm and no one responds!

Fantastic experience: I’m playing west van this year and so excited to play in such a good facility. In the past years when I have played there the staff is very friendly and the change rooms are very clean and nice.

Negative experience: Bad front desk. A woman was very rude to me.

Fantastic experience: Great place for some hockey and post game beverages!

Negative experience: Terrible hockey facility. No heat for visiting fans and the home team built some sort of raised stage for the home parents to sit in blocking the ice for visiting team.

Positive experience: If you want to just hang loose, play some hockey, watch your kids enjoy the swimming pool or just have a party, this is one heck of a club. I like particularly their tennis program.

Negative experience: Unfortunately what happens at this Club is true. That’s a toxic environment for children and parents if you allow bullying, assaults and bad team behaviour. It seems that the management is more concerned about their reputation, rather than act and stop the bullying there....The first NP article said all the facts and why the coaches left the association.

Negative experience: Great idea of services and facilities. However, it is in badly need of renovations of a lot of it's spaces and desperately needs updates on all finishings, decor.

Positive experience: Great club people are nice

Negative experience: some better signage is desperately needed. coming off the highway.. building and parking is hidden for first timers to locate.

Negative experience: Worst set of stairs leading to locker room. Rink is wide but short. Underground parking is spacious but there's no designated lane for pedestrians to walk out safely.

Positive experience: I honestly just dropped a child off for a party. Parking is not ideal, but child had a good time. If she's happy, I'm happy.

Negative experience: Some of the worst spectator viewing in southern BC for both rinks. Poor ice quality, facility seems tired and poorly maintained.

Positive experience: Went for a youth hockey game and the heaters were not working and the view from the bleachers is not that great.

Negative experience: I registered my son in one of the summer Multi Sport Day Camps, one week for $365, included lunch. The program guide indicated skating as one of the activities, no mention that you have to own your own skates. I thought this was a great camp, he would get to try a variety of activities in a safe environment. The Friday before the start of the camp, I receive a standard email from the camp instructor, guess what, turns out if you don't own skates, you cannot skate and would have to do another activity. Okay, I wasn't happy but I figured the kids would get to swim, since they have a pool but no, the alternate activity was coloring, 2 hours sitting in a cold rink colouring! I sent an an email with my concerns, no response or acknowledgement. I was not impressed, and I won't be registering at NSWC again, no follow up to my email, and my son didn't have a great time. It's not worth the $$$, and the program guide is misleading. There are better choices and options available on the North Shore. ****Thank you Kim Hirji for the immediate follow up and call with regards to this posting. Positive experience: Nice facility. So much to do there when the opportunity arises for a non-member like myself.

Negative experience: Small dressing rooms, almost square corners in main arena. Washrooms not clean.

Fantastic experience: Its a awesome area, Even better when your a member (i am so i know) Anyways i do tennis lessons there very good tips & lessons, Also i do hockey, very good teams im happy to do my favourite hobbies here (theatre, swimming, tennis & hockey)

Negative experience: Keep in mind I'm only reviewing the ice rink, not the club. Unfortunately the ICE604 league uses this facility for the summer league as one of its rinks. Yesterday(June 2nd) my team had a game there. Out of the 8 years I've played hockey, and playing at almost all the rinks in the Vancouver area, this rink was to be the worst kept arena out there. The building is literally falling apart. My main complaint is how the ice was kept, I'm not sure if they are using a rookie/novice zamboni driver in which case they would have a reason for such a poor job, it was so badly flooded we had to delay the start of the game. I've never seen such a lake. It took almost half the game to dry. I couldn't believe how bad it was. Again, maybe it was the drivers first time cleaning the ice. I don't have a choice as to where I play because the ICE604 league does the scheduling, but I would never pay money to rent ice here. Hockey players avoid this rink. Not 5min down the road there the North Shore Canlan which is a professionally kept rink and this type of ice service would not fly there.
