Negative experience: Just so you know, the annual fees is $75 and not $40. I don’t know why they leave the $40, maybe to deceive clients. Also, I just found out that they didn’t give me a discount on enrollment fee even when I showed my valid student ID and they said I could get a discount yet the manager claims I was attended to by their senior staff. If a senior staff can omit such information, I wonder what mistakes their new staff will make. Surely getting that discount..
Unfortunately Google reviews will not allow zero stars. Let me clarify this issue with all the readers. You signed a month to month auto renewing contract. That means it keeps on going and when you want to stop, at anytime, you need to give us 30 days notice. You understood this and initialed showing that you know this. You go away for a month and don’t want to pay for the month that you are away. You also didn’t inform us that you are going away. If you did, we would have offered to freeze your account. Now you are complaining that we should not charge you. That is like saying you rent an apartment and go on vacation for a month. You should not pay for the apartment because you didn’t live in it. If that’s is the case, then rent a hotel. In our case, pay for a drop in and pay when you use the gym. No point in signing a contract. Please don’t blame this on us. Our contract and pricing is as transparent as it can be.
Negative experience: This gym is not recomended for workout. Disappointing and illogical contract with no way to cancel and low quality hall and facilities at double the price.
Fantastic experience: Amazing gym I love it and prices are the best. I just wish they repair the broken equipments they have or it would be even better if they supply us with new or better benches. They just added a new bench! Very happy
Negative experience: Terrible customer service for members.
Negative experience: Stay away from this gym. Cancelation fee. Pausing fee. You have to pay for cancelation fee. If you pause and decide to cancel during pause period, Not only you have to pay for pausing fee at the beginning the pause but also you have to re-activate the membership from the pause to cancel, and then you have to pay for cancelation of membership. And there is section for maintenance fee in your payment. Why would the customers pay for maintenance fee for equipment of the business owner. Do you have to pay for maintenance fee for bus or trains? I worked out in the Ez-fit in North Burnaby. However, I will never back again for this company. I highly recommend other gyms near by, like 16 club or any time fitness, even community center. You can find decent gyms having decent equipment still affordable in north Burnaby.
Hi. Let's get the record straight, we don't have a cancellation fee and we never did. All we ask for from someone who likes to cancel, and the members signs and agrees with is to finish their commitment (which you have) and give us 30 days notice. Your membership was on freeze as per your request but we need to take it out of freeze to start the cancellation process. This is to deter people trying to skirt the system. What does that mean, that means you can freeze your account and not need to pay the 30 days notice. This closes that loop hole. It is perfectly legitimate and reasonable. As for the rest, I will not come to defend it as everything you said is subjective and you can have your own opinion. But the cancellation policy, 30 days notice and fulfillment of your commitment, we will defend and stand by every day.
Fantastic experience: Great staff l, chill environment, not overly busy, good verity of equipment , price is cheaper then any other gym membership I've seen in the city.

Positive experience: People complain about old equipment. It’s perfectly fine. Sometimes things break, that’s just how it is. Location on the smaller side but not usually very busy. You get what you pay for. Nothing wrong with this gym.

Fantastic experience: I'm giving this gym 5 stars because it's super inexpensive to join, and the monthly rates are unbelievable. The staff is friendly and always happy to give some pointers if you are struggling with a machine. There are very few people in the off-hours, but we can get more members working out during the morning, noon, and after-work rush. I love this gym because it has been around fro some time and has not updated their gear to super expensive devices that do the same as the classics they have on hand. Hence the low monthly fees. So if you are getting back into shape, this is a cost-effective option that does not push trainers (you can ask for one if you like) or have a bunch of posers strutting around.
Negative experience: Scammy place that wont cancel your membership by phone. You have to you go in person. I refused to play their game. Years later i still have a collection agency bothering me. https://www.consumerprotectionbc.ca/consumer-help/cancelling-a-gym-membership/ LOL....the reply to my review gives you all the insight you need about this business No i was not given the option to email.....I believe i may have but they refused to act on it telling me i had to come in.. In response i cancelled my credit card. Also....even though my contract term was up they insisted on continuing on trying to collect on month to month terms and then defaulted the account and sent it to collection.
Hi, Thanks for leaving a review. A few things, when you signed up, you were notified that you needed to email or stop by the gym to cancel. This is so that we have a paper trail of what happened. You initialed that part understanding that requirement and agreeing to it. If you don't want to follow rules, then why sign up? Second, as per the link, no where does it say that you can just call to cancel. There is a mention of this "Send the form and your proof to the business in a way that allows you to get proof of delivery, like registered mail, fax or email." So, I am not sure what you are annoyed about? Us following the law or you NOT folllowing it?

Thats because we are a no nonsense gym. We don't hide behind a profile name along with making disparaging remarks without even walking in or checking us out themselves. But that is ok. You do you and whatever floats your boat.
Positive experience: Decent gym to go too, people are friendly... Although I would like to see replacements for their gym equipment soon.
Negative experience: STAY AWAY FROM THIS GYM. I can't believe the terrible treatment I received from this gym! They're charging me even though I can't physically go due to my medical condition, and I gave them a doctor's note as proof! I explained my situation to them, and I thought they would understand and work something out. But instead, they couldn't care less and continued to charge me without any consideration for my circumstances. It's outrageous that they prioritize money over their customers' well-being. I expected better customer service and some empathy, but all I got was frustration and disappointment. I strongly advise everyone to stay away from this gym. They don't care about their members, and they certainly don't deserve anyone's hard-earned money. Find a gym that actually values its customers and treats them with respect. This gym's unfair billing practices and lack of compassion have left me extremely dissatisfied. Save yourself the trouble and find a gym that will actually support you when you need it most!
Hi Reza, I am not sure you understand what you have written here. It is extremely unfair to us. Let me tell you why. You emailed us on February 24, 2023 stating that you have a medical condition and we are happy to freeze your account for 6 months for free. (normally we charge for freezing your account for 3 months maximum). We also told you, via email, that your next regular billing will not start till August 11, 2023. The July 15 club improvement fee cannot be frozen. This was all stated in the email that was sent to you and in which you replied "so please freeze it for the 6 months and I'll update it you after 6 months". How are we even at fault at this. Another thing, you signed up for a 24 months paid membership. If we were so bad, you wouldn't have signed up for 24 months. Either way, your freeze comes off August 11, 2023. Then you will really have to be paying for your membership that YOU agreed with. Best EZFIT
Positive experience: The staff are really awesome here and the price is decent, but most of the equipment is SUPER old and it definitely needs another squat rack or 3. There are basically no rowing options except one seated cable with a super bizarre angle. You really gotta know your body mechanics to realize how to use that thing. I mostly come here cause it's super close to my house and cheap, but if I had another option I would take it. I've had memberships at MUCH nicer gyms with similar pricing. On the bright side, it's never really crazy busy here which is super nice cause it gets you in that perfect workout mindset

Hi, thanks for the review. Hidden fee, our fees are all listed on the counter once you walk through the door. Broken machinery, may we ask which one. To our knowledge, nothing is broken. Dirty bathrooms, it is cleaned and mopped daily. Not sure what you mean about that. We also took a look and you are not even a member. Maybe you are leaving a review for someone else since we just started today sending emails to people that owe us money prior to us sending them off to collections with fair warning. But thanks for the review though.

Positive experience: Good equipment and facilities. Would be perfect with another squatting cage. Some of the clientele must think they're the next Ronnie Coleman the way they hog and leave equipment everywhere.

Negative experience: Not a single row machine. Equipment falling apart. Machines dropping oil onto my shirt. Dirty. Horrible management. Smells bad. If you like rusty machines, musty smells, and staff that would send $150 to collections then this is the place for you. Response: I lost my credit card so I got a new one. I replied to your email saying that i will come in to pay the outstanding! Nothing I said in my original comment was false. But you still write paragraphs trying to attack me. I trained there at least 11 times. So yes I know how terrible the equipment is. The oil came off the reverse fly machine. I never said I didn’t workout at the gym. Show me where I said that! You’re really going to lie and try to slander me for my truthful review. Shows what type of people you are。 I never called you a scam. I said your gym is terrible.
Hi Matthew, Lets get this straight. You joined our gym and agreed to pay for a monthly ongoing membership with your credit card on file. Your credit card declined because your bank blocked your credit card for fraudulent activity (we have the decline response from the bank). We have been sending you countless emails regarding this and you have decided to finally reply to us after 3 months saying that we are a scam. How is that a scam on our part when we have notified you about your overdues in which you didn't reply. Because of the overdue invoices, your FOB is disabled for after hours access. We have staff from 8am to 9pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 7pm on weekends. You did not call nor did you drop by to speak to us about this issue during staffed hours. In addition, we have emails sent by you that after signing up, you never even came to the gym. So how did you have oil dripping down to your shirt. Our machines are not hung up from the ceiling. We don't have any machines that has oil that can drip on your shirt. Again, you haven't used the gym on your own admission. How do you know that our machines are rusty? Finally, if the gym is at fault for not allowing you to train, then we can see the argument on how we should not send your debt to collections. You are allowed to train during staffed hours as the door is open. In this case, you owe us over $150, should we just forgive your debt and call it even just because you don't feel like coming in or even attempt to sort out the issue with your bank and your credit card? For all these reasons, we will send your debt off to collections.
Fantastic experience: The best management I have seen in any gym. hardworking and friendly staff, great manager, equipment is always fixed quicky and it is always kept as clean as possible for a 24/7 gym.

Negative experience: Decent price, availability. Old, poorly maintained equipment. The owner once emailed me to complain that he heard I was grunting during a workout. Told me that it's grounds for my membership being cancelled if I continue to do so. I've been lifting for 5+ years, a current member at multiple gyms. Never have I been told I grunt loudly while lifting. Cancelled my membership and went elsewhere.

Negative experience: Wow this place is so dirty...omg. Everywhere you look there's dust bunnies and rust. All the vents have layers of grease/dust. I don't think they cleaned this gym for the past year. The water fountain drain has a layer of black slime on it. Looking at anywhere other then inside of your own eyelids makes you want to puke in here. $9.99 for member ship is a lie. Their basic lowest price membership starts at $360/yr. $9.99 is for 2 weeks plus maintenance fee, fob fee and etc. Such a scam. Just being inside that gym is a health hazard.
Hi Susan. Thank you for your review. I assure you that our staff cleans it on a daily basis but I am sure there is room for improvement. We will work harder to make sure it is cleaner. As for our membership being a lie and a scam, if we told you it was monthly at 9.99 then we lied. No where does it say on our website or advertising that that is the case. As for being a scam, if we didn’t tell you upfront about all our cost then it is a scam. In this case, as per your review, you know all the cost associated with a membership. Hence, I do not think we are running a scam. We thank you for your honest review and will work harder to make sure all future members will have a more pleasant experience.
Fantastic experience: This place is great, it's cheap for a membership. All the staff are super friendly and always great you with a smile. They have any machine you could need. Highly recommend.
Negative experience: Super shady gangsters running this gym. They want you to sign a contract and give them your bank info to give you a half reasonable rate. if you want to go month to month its an astronomical amount considering how barren the facility is. the equipment is all second or third rate stuff, and the guys that work there are straight up salespeople - redirect your questions about anything financial. I stupidly signed up for a 3 month term and they wouldnt let me cancel so i stopped going and cancelled payment with my bank. They tried to send me emails and then a gangster called looking for money and tried to talk real tough. Needless to say I will be reporting them to the BBB, I know im not the first. Stay away, we tried to go there to shed some lbs due to the convenience factor but they are just the worst kind of people. you dont want to do business with them.
Thank goodness we have your signed contract, initials and a copy of you ID to prove to the BBB that you knowingly signed the agreement on your own. As for the equipment being second or third rate, you had a tour of the facilities before signing up. So I guess the equipment was good enough to sign up with but not working out with. By the way, you also didn't sign up for a 3 month term. As for your overdues, we will send them off to collections.
Positive experience: Variety of exercise equipment on crampt second floor
Negative experience: I do not recommend this place to anyone. I signed up because of the low rates and the convenience of being close to home. Plus wanted to support a smaller mom and pop type gym. I signed up and paid my dues one of which was the upcoming $20 gym fee. To my surprise, they attempt to take the funds from my credit card a couple weeks later and for some reason I was informed of an NFS card on my credit card. Which there was plenty of room on, but they were trying to take the gym fund that I had already paid at sign up. Not a big deal, it was only $20 but I asked to have my account canceled and I was going to take my business elsewhere. I knew through the contract that I would have to pay two more times. To my surprise again, they took $50 from my credit card; the bi-weekly payment, the $20 gym fee they tried earlier plus a penalty. I didn't complain then even though I should have. I just wanted to be done with this company. Another payment came off of my credit card for what I thought would be the last time payment. Then two weeks later, they took another payment. This time I contacted them and they did refund my money after many back and forth emails. They wanted to be right and kept arguing rather than simple refunding the money and moving on. They finally said my account was canceled, but for some reason they have taken yet another payment from my credit card. Stay away from this company as you can never get them to stop taking payments.
Negative experience: The gym gets very hot during the summer. There is no A/C or if it exists it is very weak. There aren't much fans anywhere else. Be careful of signing up for contracts as they bill you after it ends. They do not inform you need to give them 30 days notice for cancellation which doesn't make sense since you are signing for termed length contract for access to the gym.
Hi, Thanks for your review. At one point our, air conditioners were down for a week as we were waiting for our landlord to come fix it. That was about a month ago. Since the heat streak that we have been having our air conditioners are on 24 hours a day.They are set to 20 degrees Celsius and regulated by a thermostat. If you are signing for a term length, i.e. paid in full with a set start date and end date, then there is no 30 days notice. If you are signing up for our biweekly dues membership (payment taken out every two weeks) , then you will need to give 30 days notice as per your signed terms of agreement. If there are any issues, please drop by the gym and speak with the manager.

Fantastic experience: 24 hour gym, great staff, low prices. What more can you ask for? They have newly renovated washrooms, vending machines, surveillance cams, and panic buttons if you work out alone.

They recently had an upgrade on some of the machines which is a bonus I've been coming here for over 10 years and I don't plan on leaving anytime soon, this gym has everything I need✊
Positive experience: There is plenty of street parking available and staff are always friendly and welcoming. The gym is well maintained and there is always machines available for use. The monthly rate is also a great deal!

Negative experience: Very affordable and close to the 95 bus line. The owner is rarely there, so expect complaints to go unresolved. If you're an experienced gym-goer and you're looking for a place to get in and get out without breaking the bank, then this is the gym for you.
