Negative experience: The level of aggression and lack of professionalism under the new ownership is extremely off-putting. We used to enjoy visiting this gym during our travels and have recommended it to personal training clients and others in the fitness community. I was debating on purchasing a membership since I work in Parksville half the time. However, after a recent experience with the new owner, I can’t recommend it to others.

Fantastic experience: Most welcoming gym in Parksville!! Iron warehouse is very clean, organized and offers an amazing space to work out. The new owners are great, and are creating a long lasting community for locals.

Fantastic experience: Dropped in for a casual session visiting from Australia to see my partner’s family, and the staff were so lovely and welcoming. Equipment was top notch, well-maintained and clean! Perfect for anybody visiting the Island or looking for a membership! Will absolutely be returning

Fantastic experience: As a visitor in town, it was great to find this gym, which was really well equipped (squat racks, pulley stations, dumbbells, kettles, all the weights machines, plus plenty of CV kit). Staff and regulars were really friendly and helpful. Best of all, they charged a reasonable fee for a drop in session ($20) and it was easy to register and crack on. So many places overcharge for drop ins (if they allow them at all), which I can’t get my head around (in terms of supporting and encouraging people to train). Iron Warehouse was an excellent experience all round.

Fantastic experience: I was looking for a gym to go to while in town visiting my family. I called around a few places looking for a drop in rate for the week. These guys helped me out immediately when I called to inquire on a temp membership. The gym is well laid out, plenty of high quality equipment and weights. This is by far the best gym I've been too. I can't wait to come back the next time I'm back in town. I wish every gym was like this place

From management/staffing, to equipment, all the way to the bathrooms... Iron Warehouse displays a standout level of professionalism, and comfort. A wonderful business that supports the local community.

Negative experience: Used to goto Jim’s gym which was amazing. Tried this one out and was not impressed Cheap dated equipment, crowded, dirty bathrooms with syringes on floor (steroids) super small, staff was extremely rude and scan cards we paid for did not work for unstaffed hours. Goto bodywork’s fitness in parksville instead. Way better

Fantastic experience: Fantastic owners who go above and beyond to serve members. Used to be a member when living in Parksville, but while home for the holidays went out of their way to set me up for a couple drop ins and even deliver the FOB to my parents place so I'd have it for a visit. Thanks for a great couple of workouts guys! Much appreciated!

Fantastic experience: I've been a member for about a year and half and this is hands down the best gym on the island! They cater to all, have friendly and helpful staff, and a huge variety of machines and free weights. If you are serious about training, a competitor, or just someone looking to get in shape then this is the gym for you. They have staffed hours and are open 24hrs with keyfob entry. The gym is immaculate and well maintained. And if you ever have any requests they are happy to help out. :)

Negative experience: It is freezing in there. Very short on cardio equipment, Fans everywhere so if you have allergies it's awful. Staff is nice though and 24 hr access helps.

Fantastic experience: Great gym. Friendly staff members early in the morning that are cheerful & not grouchy at all. It's very clean & there are many wipe downs around the place, which is great cause I sweat buckets. It's nice that you can also just pay for a single month if you are unsure about the gym itself, or if you don't want to tie yourself to a gym for an extended period of time.

Positive experience: Very clean place with very helpful staff. Nice lady took me on a tour upon arrival. had almost every piece of equipment you could think of. Didn't get five star because place is not staffed between 12 and 4. This was not mentioned on website or Facebook, at least I couldn't find it. So if you drop in you are looking at a locked door. I will keep in mind when I return. Place was virtually empty between those hours. Being next to brewery is a bonus

Fantastic experience: Great gym. High quality equipment, staff maintain the facility and greet you with a smile. Rich runs a great boxing program at the limitless location as well.

Negative experience: New to parksville and wanted to check out new gyms! After reading reviews I noticed a string of what seems to be false reviews as the same people voted 5 stars here and 1 star at another gym in town and it seemed incredibly fishy and unprofessional. A couple have since been deleted..Its so sad that Google allows you to write unverified reviews. I even applied here for a job a few weeks ago and very glad it did not fit my needs. Sad for a small community..

Fantastic experience: Great place to do workout...I signed up 4 months ago and its been a great experience so far...reasonable fee...I can come in anytime of the day because of their 24/7 access hours using the keyfab...very good maintenace...really clean and not smelly inside...friendly staff...parking is not too bad...mostly new equipment...i just hope they have a couple of punching bags or towers for boxing at the Stanford Avenue branch so i can bring my gloves in but all in all this place is awesone...

Not only are the owners community-driven, dedicated individuals, but they consistently are growing and developing their business to better accommodate more individuals. Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, clean, easily accessible, and filled with the loveliest people.

Negative experience: Went in on a Saturday morning to get a membership as I've read great reviews on ironwarehouse. Unfortunately I could tell the lady working front desk lacked fitness experience and wasn't able to show me how any machines work. Tour was hasty as well. I signed up with another local gym instead. Disappointing nonetheless.

Fantastic experience: This gym is great for locals and out of town visitors alike. While visiting Parksville I attended a number of the different small group training sessions. The classes were great, real challenging and sweaty workouts, and the trainers meet you at whatever level you're at to help you work towards your goal. The vibe is really inclusive and supportive - it's a great gym away from home :)

Fantastic experience: Kudos to Steven for operating an A-1 gym! Plenty of quality racks, benches, machines, cardio and free weights. IWH has a great layout and the vibe is very conducive to taking care of business. Highly recommended!
