Negative experience: I was laid off and tried a few times to cancel my contract and was told by 3 different people I could only transfer it to someone else or if I was moving 30km away I could cancel they wouldn't let me cancel my contract and I was so frustrated. So just beware once you sign a contract they expect you to pay it till the end and won't let you cancel it. I will never use this gym again

Positive experience: It's better than most anytime fitness locations and it is larger and has an open uncluttered feeling. Has some nice equipment I especially love the adjustable dip bar they have. Gym itself is 5 stars. Only complaint causing star loss is showers are cold... odd considering their proximity to the largest geo hotspring in Canada lol.

Positive experience: Emma does a good job at managing Cranbrook. Lots of clean equipment and benches always available. Be sure to have your "buds" & "tunes" tho, to help with focus, as there are definitely a few Week-end mid-life/noisy "chatty-Matties" and "grunting-groaners" !!!

Negative experience: *STUDENTS BEWARE* at Christmas I used a different facility for under 30days and my membership was transferred and I was charged more. When I caught it I contacted site2gym and they said I consented to transfer clubs when I never did, nor was I using a different gym for more than the allotted time as per the contract. The contract I agreed to was a 12 month contract at $20.48/bi weekly, I was then “transferred” and have been being charge $36.74/bi weekly, they told me they could transfer me to a new 12month contract for a new student rate but refused to refund any of the over charges. Unfortunately I do like the gym, but wont be renewing my contract after it ends in September.

Fantastic experience: Young girl at the front desk, on March 21st near 2pm, was wonderful help and an exceptional employee. I sadly forgot her name but you guys definitely found a hidden gem!

Negative experience: Wont cancel membership unless you relocate to an area that doesnt have a gym or get a medical note from doctor. They offer the option to freeze account but they extend the contract for each month you freeze, so in turn your contract is longer than you bargained for. I dont recommend this gym, and wont be going back.

Negative experience: I wanted to start up at this gym. Showed up After work, I was ignored by staff, and waited a half hour to speak with the manager, before just walking out. I'm sure it's great once you're signed up, as you can just scan a fob to get in 24 hours a day and do your thing, but I didn't get the feeling they care about new comers

Fantastic experience: everyone is very friendly. I've introduced myself to most of the cleaners/custodians employed at this location, and they are all very sociable. Emma is great and always has an amazing smile on her face. her attitude is of someone that just wants to please and make you feel accepted

Positive experience: Walked in just to see what the place looked like and how it was layer out. Lockers, change rooms, and showers are located in weird places but the gym itself looks good.

Fantastic experience: In recent times, everyone is all about having a healthy lifestyle,but that doesn’t come easy, does it..?so it’s very important to get the right place to workout ️‍♀️, have a routine, eat healthy stay consistent and you can achieve your goals. Anytime Fitness is one of the gyms in Canada I can vouch for anytime anytime any day. It’s located at the Tamarack center, in the mall. The Gym is clean at all times, equipments are well organized and function properly,every equipment has instructions on them, there’s no need for a trainer or anyone to show you how or what to do , it’s easier to just use equipment with no stress.Just so you know, you are to sanitize and replace all equipments after usage. There is enough room for workouts,and there’s no overcrowding, There’s a locker for everyone incase you would want to keep your personal belongs in there. It has about 3 changing rooms and 6 washrooms and a shower room as well.

Fantastic experience: I love going, it's a clean gym, it's very well equipped. I like it has showers and lockers, the music is not loud and you can listen to your own music. The monthly fee is acceptable.

Negative experience: I canceled my plan on the phone with a store rep back in December. Fast forward to now and I am still being charged and have been told that they did not actually cancel my plan. When I asked for a refund I was told there’s nothing they can do even though it’s clear that I haven’t been to the gym in 5 months now. On top of this I have to pay another months worth just to cancel my plan. I would really just like to get refunded for the past 4 months as it wasn’t my fault that my plan wasn’t cancelled properly.

Negative experience: Be very careful and read the contract before joining "Anytime Fitness" if your a young person. Like others I have heard of, My minor son at the time had someone pay for him to use their facilities for only 2 weeks. He signed and like many others didn't read the contract. Sadly, they said if you don't fill out the proper forms to cancel they charge you and penalize yyou. He's now in collections.This is absurd. Not cool. UPDATE-they have lowered the owing balance for this youth and seem to be working with him positively so he can pay and attend the gym.

Negative experience: This place is disgusting. Twice in two weeks I've been here and there and half the people using equipment aren't cleaning it. I mentioned this to the manager. She said OK, and walked away from me doing nothing. Happened again the next week. This time I told the guy he should clean his equipment after using. Guy wanted to start a fight with me. I called to complain several times now. I've been made aware that there will never be a refund. And I need to continue using a gym I don't feel safe in. Thanks Anytime!

Negative experience: Not worth the money, poor management. The gym is very untidy with new management, I never seem to see her on the floor cleaning. There are needles (!!!) in the bathroom, thats VERY unsafe. Prices are most expensive in town and this is what you get! Useless. Save your money and go to a better gym in Cranbrook

Negative experience: 0 stars! They don't honor their website that says right on it "CRANBROOK"! The lady tried to say it was the website not cranbrook. My daughter and I were ready to join until they said their prices have changed. Its said $24.50 bi weekly promotion on their website but wanted to charge $34.90. Thats a big difference when purchasing 2 memberships. But I see with other reviews that are over a year old stating the same complaint! Also the website still states 7 day free trial. But they don't offer it anymore.The "manager" with no knowledge said the page is "outdated" How about this, then FIX IT! Red flags hit me and I'm glad I just left! I think we dodged a bullet here! Run!

Negative experience: If i could give zero star. I will never ever recommend this club to anyone. They are charging customers even if they don’t use the service or the gym. I was being charged for nothing. Very unprofessional and poor quality staff.

Fantastic experience: Anytime fitness is by far one of my favourite gyms in town, and I have tried them all. The gym is quiet and has a great atmosphere. It’s a pleasure attending a gym where men aren’t constantly ogling you and grunting like animals

Fantastic experience: This facility is clean and well run, with kind and helpful staff. The rooms are spacious enough to move around without getting in anyone’s space, and the equipment options are great. I also enjoy the option to follow a guided yoga session on their projector.

Negative experience: Absolutely ZERO customer service. Here’s what happened... Due to the financial strain of this year I was a little behind on my credit card payments which resulted in not having enough to pay my “most expensive in town” membership fee. So where you might expect to have a REAL person call you to try and figure out the situation they just tried to charge my card again with an additional $10 fee. And then again with ANOTHER $10 fee. And you know what; why not try ANOTHER $10 fee? In total, they have tried to charge an additional $30 and I STILL HAVE NOT TALKED TO A REAL PERSON! When I tried to cancel my membership, it tried to tell me it was still going to charge me for NEXT month as well. I’m sorry; but im not giving notice at a tenancy. And here’s the thing... I’m NOT on a contract. I signed a 12 month membership over a year and a half ago and was never offered a renewal membership. Not only that, but when you decided to change you policy to require masks that would have VOIDED my contract (if I actually had one) as that is a policy I do not agree with. Furthermore, I referred a member to you over 10 months ago and to date, have NEVER received the free month as I should have. Here’s the truth though. You had the opportunity to create customer loyalty with me, but your lack of customer service, which is non existent, ended up losing a customer for life. And guess what?? I’ve lost over 80lbs in my fitness journey which means people ask me all the time what gym I go to. Guess which one I will NEVER recommend? That’s right, Anytime Fitness. That’s the cost of poor customer service. Not only did you lose my business, but you lost tons of potential business because you care more about a $ than you do about your members.

Negative experience: One star because the interior of the gym is nice. However the customer service is the worst I've experienced in my life. Was supposed to have a free month after the gym reopened. Cancelled during my "free" month and was charged. Apparently "free" only applied to members who are planning to continue their membership. Ended up having to pay two months of dues because of the terrible customer service and sneaky cancellation policies. Support a locally owned gym instead. It will probably be less expensive and i regret switching gyms.

Negative experience: WARNING! This place will scam you out of money if you try and cancel your membership. They also give you a false information about their own contract with them, do not go to this gym. Wife cancelled a year to the day after her 1 year was up and they still charged her 130 dollars in the middle of covid...... when no one was there to help her.

Negative experience: Me and my wife signed for 18 months gold plan and never enjoyed their services. I was charged extra twice or thrice and the guidance was not the best. Totally frustrating. Same happened with my wife. Hate the gym. Will never recommend the gym to anyone if you want to save the hidden costs. They will never tell you all the policies until you find your money wasted in their services. Will never sign any membership to this gym.

Negative experience: The worst service ever..have a lot of hidden policies. There was no guidance given on policies regarding freeze and cancelation. A lot of payments have been charged through hidden policies and I was only guided about such payments when we had to actually freeze or cancel. Weired rules and overall for a time frame of a year membership, I realized that their services are the worst. Disappointed.

Negative experience: Would rate it higher if the people that work out at this gym were actually respectful of the rules. It's really hard to work out when there are people screaming louder than my music in my head phones and slamming weights .. no fault to the management tho . The gym overall would be 5/5 stars for being available 24/7 , and cleanliness. Could benefit from having a few more work out machines .

Negative experience: Be very careful with this club, they will continue to bill you ever after cancellation submitted and end of contract. Customer services is awful, constant "will call you back" with no response. Billed for months that the account was given "free month" for so many billing issues and mistakes. Don't expect to get to use your "freeze account" option either. Goes through "club managers" almost monthly.

Fantastic experience: This is a great gym. Machines always available for cardio and weights, friendly manager and staff, towels, shampoo and body wash provided. Definitely worth the price!
