Our comment from FitFit Canada about Spin Society:
Spin Society in Vancouver is more than just a spin studio; it is a vibrant community that fosters inclusivity and motivation. With friendly staff and exceptional instructors, visitors frequently highlight the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Notable instructors like Jenna T, Marco, and Alex have received praise for their engaging classes that push participants to their limits while ensuring individual comfort.
Customers appreciate the clean, well-maintained facilities and the enthusiastic energy of the classes. Many have found that Spin Society has helped them develop a love for spinning, noting the carefully curated playlists that keep spirits high during workouts. The availability of amenities like clean towels and well-equipped showers is also a plus for most visitors.
However, there are some areas for improvement, such as occasional issues with crowded reception areas and bathroom facilities. Some users mentioned that the towel quality can vary, and there have been reports of strict policies regarding late entries to classes. Despite these minor drawbacks, the positive feedback overwhelmingly suggests that Spin Society is a fantastic choice for those seeking a supportive and energetic fitness environment.

Spin Society: Opinions
Fantastic experience: This studio has become so much more than just a place to work out and Jenna T is the reason why. From the moment you step in, her warm smile and kind energy make you feel genuinely welcome, seen, and connected. No matter how tough the day has been, her classes are a breath of fresh air—a chance to recharge and escape the stress of everyday life. I feel so lucky to have found this studio and to start every session with her.
Positive experience: Been going here here for the past two months but I’ve noticed the towels are always so smelly?? It smells like expired lasagna lol downtown smells fine but something about mount pleasant
Fantastic experience: I've been coming to the Mount Pleasant location consistently for a couple of months now and have been really enjoying it. What started off as a free "why not" class thanks to ClassPass turned into an activity I've been looking forward to almost every week. From a logistics side, it's definitely cramped in the reception area but if you arrive ~10 minutes early you can usually mitigate this. Visually appealing, clean, and inviting space though (along with friendly staff who will help get you signed in and onto your bike)! I've been loving Parker's classes because of his energy and his playlist, but there are a range of instructors on offer each with their own style and music selection. But what they have in common is that these classes are all really hard and push you to your limit. They motivate you but at the same time don't force you to do anything you can't do. The music really helps to get you pumped though and helps you realize that you can usually give just a little bit more effort. You will be dripping in sweat by the end! Thanks Spin Society for helping me realize my love for Spin!
Thanks Brian for the lovely review! Always great to see new faces in the studio and we hope to keep providing you with fun and challenging rides for many years to come :)
Fantastic experience: I have been attending classes regularly at the Downtown location for a few months now. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the space is welcoming. All the instructors I have tried have been great but I take the most classes with Stephanie. She is such a good motivator. She reminds you that you are capable of doing more, and always makes me want to push that little bit harder even when energy is flagging in those early morning classes. Her instructions are always super clear and she has lots of variety in her choreography. Highly recommend Spin Society!
Negative experience: Shoes were falling apart and smelly. No room in the men's bathroom to change
Fantastic experience: Spin Society has amazing instructors. Ive so far attended Lucy, Amanda and Marco’s classes and I always leave the class feeling happy and ready to book my next class with them. They have a lot of empathy, and focus on what YOUR definition of hard work is. When they ask you to turn for more resistance they’re quick to reassure and motivate you that how much you turn is up to you. The music is definitely EDM heavy, but I’m not complaining. I personally love EDM, and it makes keeping up with the cardio/spin easier in my opinion! When the music is slow I find it harder for me to go faster. I started my fitness journey in March, and have always wanted to try Spin classes. Any fitness class is intimidating, especially to a beginner! I was very anxious that maybe I wouldn’t be able to keep up as my stamina isn’t that great. I let the instructors know that I find I have a bit of knee pain incase I can’t keep up (which I usually can’t, but I know I’ll get there!) and they were all quick to give me tips, pointers, adjust my bike, and give me feedback at the end of the class. My first class, Amanda reassured me that if it didn’t feel good, don’t do it. I try to push myself a bit more to stand during classes and hope I’ll get to everyone else’s level! Another huge bonus is that they have Odin to check you in! He definitely brightens my morning ASAP. Definitely a spin girly now, and so excited to try their sister brand Hustle! ❤️
Negative experience: I have to be brutally honest. I’ll start with the good. It’s a clean and welcoming studio. The classes are challenging but well-paced. Class times are amazing. Also, very clean and efficient studio. Now the not-so-good. This place lacks spice. Most, except for 1-2, of the instructors are white. The few instructors who played hip-hop are no longer at the studio (mmm wonder why?). They play mostly EDM, Taylor Swift and top 40s. The theme rides are so repetitive. It gets kinda boring after a while. I’m not sure who’s responsible for the hiring but man, they need to spice things up cause right now, this place, as well as some of the instructors song choice, make it SUPER boring. Every week, I look at the schedule hoping there’s a hip-hop theme ride, but there never is and when they do have one, i get my hopes up only to be disappointed because the class is saturated with EDM mixes. Why have a hip-hop theme ride to only play EDM mixes?! Unless they bring back their old instructors who played some real hip-hop or get new instructors who listen to other things than RDM and house, I’ll have to sadly switch to SPINCO.
Fantastic experience: Love this place so much! Alex, Jenna B, Oriana, and Justice are my favourites. They have amazing theme classes which mix it up. Loving the new bikes!
Negative experience: I used to love this place and I was a frequently client but not anymore. I am very disappointed, I just arrived 4 min late and they didn’t allow me to start the class. Idk but for me it’s very unfair, they should be allow people at least 5 min. Doesn’t deserve any star tbh .
Fantastic experience: Not one to ever leave reviews but huge shoutout to spin society on kingsway. Found you guys on classpass last year and decided to buy a few packs this year. You guys have changed me in more ways that i can imagine! I feel stronger, more confident, centered and inspired to do what challenges me. Extra huge shoutout to Alex for always killing it with the song choice and vibes, you have inspired me to run my first ever marathon this year! Thank you!
❤️❤️❤️
Fantastic experience: I love these spin classes. The instructors are engaging, the music is excellent, and I always leave absolutely pumped. Spin Society has a great location for me and the environment is so welcoming—always a joy to be here.
Thank you Geoff!
Positive experience: Instructor Vanessa was so lovely !!! Had a wonderful class with her and she was so hyped and motivational. Will come back for her classes !!! Only downside to this place is it’s suuuuuper crowded especially between classes. There’s just a small hallway and small bathroom. At the end/beginning of classes it’s hard to get to the lockers. But other than the lobby space everything was great!
Fantastic experience: So far, so good! Street parking available after 930am, decently friendly staff and easy check in process. Lockers available to store items and shoe rental included. Benches and hooks for personal items too. It can get crowded in the hallways before class begins. Doors open and close according to the clock (strict on this!) Showers are cleaned in between every class, towels provided, and basic amenities available (cotton pads, q-tips, razors, feminine hygiene, hairspray and dry shampoo, as well as shampoo, conditioner and body wash- I’m not a fan of the scent but better than nothing) The classes have been great so far! The bikes are placed almost side by side. Personal towel and ear plugs are available. Spin might not be for everyone but I personally always enjoy the playlist and the energetic vibes of the group. The direction from the instructor may be a hit or miss, but the general atmosphere is lovely. It gets me almost emotional every time (lol) as the workout is very personal and I feel the freedom and space to challenge myself or not, as my body needs. Thanks Spin Society.
Fantastic experience: I am not a typical review-person, but the customer service here is amazing! Dominik has always been super helpful and responsive with any emails I have sent. I am truly impressed with the customer service and the company's approach to all spin members! It's very consistent and I just had another great experience with Dominik. That said, I also want to shoutout Marco and Alex! They're my favourite spin instructors and highly recommend their classes :)
THANK YOU! ❤️
Negative experience: The employee at the front desk was kind of standoffish and rude. The rooms are very congested - do not recommend if you are claustrophobic or don't want someone right next to you. This girl hit me twice while stretching/moving her arms. Worst of all, the towel on the bike was a used, nasty towel. So someone definitely missed quality check. It was actually putrid to smell and it was definitely used. There is no space in the lockers, barely enough to fit anything. At the end, the instructor also burned some candles that made the entire room smell like wax + sweat, which was disgusting. DO not go to spin society. In Vancouver, I recommend Ride Cycle Club or YVR Cycle as much better alternatives.
Negative experience: Warning the music runs at 100 db and may cause temporary hearing loss.
Negative experience: You’re loud music is incredibly inconsiderate to the people living above. You’ve turned homes in torture chamber’s.
Fantastic experience: Friendly staff and great instructors - my favourite place to work out in the city! So happy to have this place in my neighbourhood :)
Thanks Samuel! We truly appreciate the kind words and Happy New Year! Here’s to many more rides together
Fantastic experience: Effective workout. People are friendly and accommodating. You can feel the friendly vibe when you walk in the door.
Negative experience: Couldn't see the instructor at all from where I was cycling (bike 32) unlike in other bike studios like YVR Cycle and DibFit Cycle where the instructor can be seen from any bike you're on
Negative experience: A while back, I had a disappointing encounter at Spin Spociety Mount Pleasant with the instructor, Marco. He took offense to my Larq water bottle, which has a small LED light on the lid. Its an automatic filtering/self cleaning water bottle come on. Despite being a regular attendee, his reaction left me frustrated because I always use this inivative water bottle. Barrys and other studio's never had an issue with it. As a result, I have decided not to return to this location
Fantastic experience: Trainer was terrific and staff friendly Very welcoming place for all levels.
Fantastic experience: Best studio in Vancouver. Friendly staff and great instructors!
Thank you Maria! See you again soon
Positive experience: Gorgeous facility. And a wonderful little puppy welcomer. Based on the first interaction I had with an employee, I would not go back. They were stressed and frantic. The bikes were nice, different than others I have used in the past. But overall not bad. I had much better luck after class with someone friendlier at the front desk!
Fantastic experience: Great experience, 1st time and really appreciate the atmosphere, the instructor Marco and his choice of music and energy were on point! Recommended!
Thank you! See you again soon
Positive experience: I really love going to spin society! It is my favourite spin studio I’ve been to in Vancouver! Especially the mount pleasant location. Jenna T is an amazing instructor, best vibes. I’ve attended mostly her classes. The studio is very clean and the front of house staff is super welcoming. I appreciate that there is no rental fee on the shoes! I would give it 5 stars, but I went to a class today at the DT location at 5:30 pm and it was disappointing! :( It was my first time with this other instructor, they were very off beat and had unclear instructions which were paired with excessive choreography. The music choices were also quite poor to a spin class. It is possible that person is very new! Overall would highly recommend this studio. It’s a bit pricey but if you can afford it, I would say it’s worth it ❤️
Fantastic experience: This place is pretty intense and very stimulating. As someone who gets bored easily, I love it.
Positive experience: Great Class, great vibe. It's a little packed in there and the lobby is very small when there's one class coming in and the other leaving. That's the on drawback
Fantastic experience: Looovveeeeee spin society!! The ambiance and vibe is immaculate. Especially Evvie. She’s such an amazing instructor and always so energetic. I also love her music choice.
Ahhh thank you!!! Really appreciate your awesome review ♥️ See you again soon!
Fantastic experience: Been going to Spin society for 5 years now and they are incomparable! The spin instructors have a genuine fun and exciting attitude about instructing which makes the exercise so much more enjoyable!
Thank you SO MUCH! We love having you at Spin Society and here’s to many more years together ❤️
Negative experience: Terrible experience. Firstly, they have way too many bikes crammed into one room. There are 50 bikes and just enough space to fit the bikes side by side maybe a few tiny inches apart, so you feel like you have no personal space. I personally am not worried about covid, but I don't want to feel like the person next to me is on top of me, especially in a cardio class where everyone gets really sweaty (and smelly). If someone was still worried about covid or had to be cautious due to a vulnerable family member etc., this place would not be covid-safe. Really feels like they are packing all those bikes in there to make as much money as possible per class, which I understand from a business perspective, but makes for a very uncomfortable ride. Immediately walking into the studio it reeked of B.O. from the previous class. They should have an essential oil diffuser going during class and/ or spray some kind of natural air freshener/ disinfectant before the next class. On that note, it seems like there is not much time between the classes, they flip the room probably within 15 min- so when you walk in, the previous class is leaving and the new class is coming in, making the reception area very crowded and hectic. Also flipping the room that fast makes me question if the room is being properly sanitized between classes or if they are solely depending on the riders / class participants to sanitize their bikes. The instructor was also awful. She didn't do a gradual warmup, she just went right into intensity. I can usually modify to my own intensity but she made it hard to adjust as she went into 1-count stand ups from the seat within the first 2 min. Just overall a very disappointing experience. Such a shame because I used to be a member at the Granville and Drake location when they first opened. Way different vibe then with their humble beginnings, vs now where they pack too many people in and flip classes too quick just to maximize profit. Please do better Spin Society.
Hey Amanda! Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. We apologize for not living up to your expectations. We can assure you that we have taken every precaution since Covid to offer as safe a ride as possible. All our studios are now equipped with hospital grade air filtration systems that filter the air up to 6 times over in a single hour. We also clean our bikes with sanitizing wipes (which all our riders have access to as well for extra safety if you want to wipe your bike before and after class). As for the number of people in the room, January is a busy time! We love seeing all the new faces and we strongly believe in the motivational factor of working hard together. The positive energy makes us who we are. We’d love to see you again to make things right and have added 3 ride credits to your account. Have an awesome rest of your week ❤️
Positive experience: love the environment and the instructors! i removed one star because sometimes i take a super early morning class around 7am and whenever i shower which is pretty infrequently, they seem to never have any conditioner? little thing..
Fantastic experience: I think Spin Society is a great studio. I have found it is one of few studios that offer an intense 6 am workout class. I exclusively go to the morning classes due to my work schedule and honestly it's one of the highlights of my day. The instructors are all great and have different styles so you do get a bit of variety with each class. The people that work at the front desk are always friendly and the studio is always clean and welcoming. Overall, I would highly recommend this studio to anyone who is looking to get into spinning!
Negative experience: Horrible neighbors, rude staff.
Negative experience: 945am booking for spin society Terrible service, kicked me out of class when i had to pee instead of help me back to my bike, im in total shock. They apparently didnt want light inthe room so thats why they couldnt help me. So if anyone needs to use the washroom during class they are not allowed back in, rules so strict they forgot they were servicing humans, no humanity left here.
Hey Lindsay, thanks for giving us a try on ClassPass. We are so terribly sorry about your experience with us. There was definitely a miscommunication here. As we try to preserve the energy and mood in the room with as little disruption as possible, we were unable to let you back into the spin room with your phone (to be used as a flash light) so you could clip back in. At this point, you chose to leave the premises instead of going back into the room without your phone. Thanks again, but we do consider this review to be a little harsh given the above circumstances.
Fantastic experience: Came in for two classes as a guest with my friend and really enjoyed the energy of the class. I had class with the instructors Anil and Alex and both were amazing at hyping up the class and keeping it fun and energetic. Really enjoyed how fun the class was and how clean the facilities was. Would definitely see myself coming back soon!
Fantastic experience: I never knew I would enjoy spin class as much as I do. I have been coming to this location for almost a year now and I have no reason to ever look for another Spin location. That is, as long as Alex teaches here I will always come back. Alex is the most phenomenal trainer/instructor/motivational speaker I have ever met. I love to be inspired and he inspires me every class. Although, his classes are usually a bit more expensive than other instructors here, I’m always willing to pay a little extra for quality things in life. The staff is always helpful and accommodating. Grateful to have been introduced to Spin society
Positive experience: The instructors are great!
Fantastic experience: I love the classes! Sometimes it's hard to find a class you like but the schedules don't match your work hours. Spin Society has it all. The facilities are nice, clean, the staff very friendly and the instructors are amazing. Especially Madi who always motivates me to give my best!
Fantastic experience: The best spin class I’ve had to date at this studio, bravo. All the instructors here have energy like no other place. Will be back again and again
Thank you so much Emily! Truly appreciate the kind review see you again soon!
Fantastic experience: One of the best studios I’ve been to! The staff is friendly and willing to help you get on your bike.
Thank you Joyce! See you next time :)
Fantastic experience: If you are looking for a spin studio, this place is IT. After moving back to Vancouver in 2018, I felt like I couldn't find a studio that had a vibe similar to what I was used to out on the east coast. I finally stumbled onto Spin Society through class pass. Since then, I can't begin to describe how incredible this place has been. Spin Society is more than just a studio, it is an incredibly supportive, inclusive and welcoming community. I want to echo the other reviews about how it is "the little things that matter the most, the moments that might go unnoticed: remembering and calling you by your name in a class of 50 students, following little old me on IG, taking time to ask about your class experience at peak hours on a Saturday morning, and sharing a piece of their personal journeys in class with such vulnerability and honesty". S/O to Brent for always being hella inspiring, Marco for always being so approachable, so kind and for the BEST (and toughest) rides, Kandis for always putting a smile on everyone's faces and Jaime! (even though I think Jaime moved on to another role lmao) Thank you Spin Society! you rock xoxo
Omg my gosh Nikki! Making us blush over here…thank you SO much for being part of this community. We appreciate you :) See you again soon!
Fantastic experience: Had my last spin class here today (am moving abroad) and have had a wonderful experience at this studio. All the staff are friendly, Emma at the front desk is always warm, welcoming, and helpful! Instructors Kaiya, Marco, and Vanessa bring lots of energy to their classes and are great at motivating you at 6am. Will definitely be back here to spin during visits to Canada.
Fantastic experience: This is one of my favourite spin studios in the heart of Mount Pleasant. It is decorated to look like a club, with motivational graphics, and clean and sleek design. Bathrooms and showers with nice simple soaps, deodorants, dry shampoo, q-tips and razors are provided. The instructors all have different teaching styles, and every class is a different experience. Spin society does a great job of building community, and crafting a very enjoyable and fun workout. 50 minutes will fly past, and you will pedal to the rhythm. Love the curated playlists and energy of the instructors! I’m excited to come here for many more classes, to feel pumped, track my calories burned and heart rate, and get my consistent adrenaline rush!
Fantastic experience: Just finished my first class and the staff was super friendly and LOVED Erin's energy in the morning
Fantastic experience: My favourite spin studio in Vancouver! Great instructors and friendly staff.
Fantastic experience: Amazing studio! All of the instructors are great, but Alex is amazing. I have never worked so hard in a work out, and it is fun. I always leave feeling mentally and physically rejuvenated.
Fantastic experience: The staff here are fantastic... especially the manager! The trainers always give me a great workout although sometimes my legs struggle to get me home after.
Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough good things about Spin Society. I leave a better person each time. The space is amazing, inclusive for everyone. But that’s just a small piece. The owners, instructors, studio managers and front desk team are the heart of this space. It’s the little things that matter the most, the moments that might go unnoticed: remembering and calling you by your name in a class of 50 students, following little old me on IG, taking time to ask about your class experience at peak hours on a Saturday morning, and sharing a piece of their personal journeys in class with such vulnerability and honesty. Spin Society is an environment that fuels self empowerment and encourages you to grow into your authentic self. Classes that both challenge and heal among a warm and supportive community. Try a class, believe me, you won’t regret it.
Oh my gosh Gabrielle! Words cannot express how we appreciate your review. Spin Society only exists because of our amazing members like yourself. You are what makes the space feel special. Have an awesome week and see you again soon!
Fantastic experience: Perfect facilities, really great decor and paintings, really enthusiastic and professional trainers, I'll definitely be back (when I recover)
Negative experience: This business doesn't care about anyone but themselves. Despite many requests from residents living above the studio, their music can be heard throughout our building. The Owner has also publicly questioned and scrutinized Dr. Henry's COVID recommendations. Horrible customer service and public relations! Choose another studio.
Fantastic experience: Amazing energy, friendly staff and the best instructors!
Fantastic experience: LOVE IT!! Everybody is so high energy and happy to have you there and I can't wait until my next class. Its super clean and the bike are well spaced out, its the best!
Fantastic experience: The classes here are great! The music and teachers are motivational, and I love that they turn the lights down and pump the beats.
Thanks Emily!
Positive experience: Take a class with Alex or Lucy, you'll be hooked. Super well run studio with great employees and great vibes.
Thank you Jon! The review is much appreciated :)
Positive experience: Awesome class and great workout. Definitely will be coming back.
Fantastic experience: Hands down best spin studio in Vancouver! The positive energy here is undeniable and is what brings me back multiple times a week. My favourite instructors are Marco and Alex!
Negative experience: Absolutely horrible experience. I have been to this studio 10 times and liked my experience before this morning. I arrived right on time (710am on a Saturday), but the woman at the front desk said she had closed the doors and therefore I couldn’t enter. I was surprised because I have seen many people enter late in the evening classes. Additionally, I would have expected a bit more flexibility on an early Saturday morning during one of Vancouver’s snowiest week’s on record (it was a challenging commute to the studio). The women at the front desk encouraged me to book the next scheduled class on my ClassPass app. After I had booked it, she informed me that she couldn’t credit me for the 710am class. They also charged me a no-show fee. Spin Society - Your customer service stinks. Your staff are unreasonable. I will be riding with one of your many competitors going forward.
Hey Jacqueline. We’re really sorry you did not enjoy your experience this morning. Our late arrival policy is for the benefit of our riders and it’s always tricky when these situations arise. We apologize for not handling this better. There was a miscommunication at the desk. There is no “no-Show” feee for this from ClassPass and you will receive your credits back. We have contacted ClassPass on your behalf.
Fantastic experience: I had never been to Spin before and always dreaded it to be honest. But my instructor was Beth and it was SO AMAZING. She was super helpful before the lesson and showed be how to use the bike, what to expect for my first ride and how to pace myself. She was energetic, motivating and made the class fun and not intimidating! I would recommend this class (especially with Beth) to anyone!
Positive experience: I was looking for a spin class to go to as off season cycling training but this isn't it. It seems very popular, just not my thing. It's also quite expensive for a spin class.
Fantastic experience: The most amazing place to spin! The front desk staff are so fantastic, always welcoming and super friendly and smiles on their faces every time and really helpful. The instructors are so amazing, super motivating classes and they really make you feel welcome here. Such a great community that makes everyone feel welcome.I just love coming here!
Fantastic experience: Such a phenomenal place. Not only is the space gorgeous and well-maintained, the staff here are exceptional. Everyone from the front of house staff to the instructors are simply amazing; they create such a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment for everyone that comes in through the doors. It's a judgement-free zone, and is such a great space to better yourself mentally and physically! Coming here feels a lot like coming home!
Thanks Tina! We truly appreciate the heartfelt review and we couldn’t be where we are without riders like you!
Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing place! Best most motivating instructors! The check in staff makes the effort to get to know you and call you by your name. Great for beginners and experts! Everyone is made welcome
Thank you Paula!!! We love having you at the studio
Fantastic experience: Such an awesome energy in this place! The staff members are friendly and the instructors are motivating. One of those works outs that make you feel better when you leave then when you walked in, thanks for an awesome work out!
Fantastic experience: Love the classes. Always fun and a great workout. And really clean!
Thank you!!!
Fantastic experience: This was my first spin class ever. I was really nervous walking in but I bit the bullet and did it. It’s a pretty small space so it can be intimidating at first, with people starting and finishing their class, coming in and out... with that being said, walking into this place was probably the best decision I have ever made regarding my health, fitness and happiness. The staff is absolutely amazing and SO welcoming and helpful. The front desk girls are friendly and they will help you get set up with your bike. Any questions or concerns you have, they will help you out. The instructors are great!! They really push you to your limit and they play great music to get you in the mood. You will be sweating and full of energy after your class, weather it’s at 7am or 7pm. I would go to this studio every day until I die if I could! They have helped me in so many ways and I could not show my appreciation enough. Thank you society Mount Pleasant! You have made me a stronger and happier person.
THANK YOU so much for sharing your experience Britt! We really appreciate the kind words and are thrilled that you are enjoying our rides :) See you again at the studio very soon!
Fantastic experience: Really enjoyed my first ever spin class! I never felt pressure to push beyond what was comfortable, but was also given a great work out that energized me for the rest of my day! Tasha was great and getting me settled in and learning how to use the bike clips and the staff were all super friendly!
