Negative experience: ABC financial is the worst to deal with. I enjoyed this gym but my god I’ve never seen such a poor choice of a payment processor, you can’t even update a credit card with the automated service and the humans “helping” are useless. 4 phone calls and 2 hours later they still can’t get my credit card bill updated. Get automated phone calls saying my account is overdue but I see the membership fee on the credit card. Don’t think it’s Anytime fitness’s fault think it’s the scam of a payment processing company they teamed up with.

Negative experience: Poor and petty communication from natasha and Britany , they are very rude and childlike when answering important questions, anytime she answers about a concern that had to do with anytime fitness on ABCs side they both fails to show professionalism during important phone calls with the tone of her voice , poor customer service due to the fact of not knowing a single thing when a financial question was asked and blamed it on other people that she works with , this gym is a small decent gym but not worth being over charged every month , i would recommend golds or good health ,

Fantastic experience: Happy with the service and staff friendliness. My first week was easy after not working out for 10 years. Everything was explained in detail and I’m happy with the facilities too.

Fantastic experience: My son worked out at this gym and had noticed a group working out under the direction of a trainer. He observed them getting good instruction and exercise all the while laughing and enjoying themselves. He approached them and inquired about their experience at the gym and how they felt about the program they were doing, and after getting to know them, he determined this place, this group, and this workout would be a good fit for me. He purchased a membership and a diet program for me for my Christmas gift, and that was two years ago. It's been two years, and I have had the best memories and have made friendships that I know I'll have for the rest of my life. Anytime Fitness in Chaparral is not just a gym. It's a warm and supportive culture of people who cheer you on with your personal victories and pick you up when you need a shoulder to cry on or when you just need a boost when things are not aligned in your life. The trainers genuinely care about your progress and jump in quickly to correct you if your form isn't right (so you don't injure yourself. ) From where I started to where I am now, I have developed strength and discipline I never knew I had in me. I now have a group of friends and memories I will cherish for all eternity, and I owe all this to my son and his Christmas gift that keeps giving. If you're intimidated by gyms or don't feel like you have the motivation to work out, this Anytime Fitness will change your mind and your life.

Fantastic experience: I always enjoy my training sessions and gym time. The drills are a great workout. Gillian and Sydney are pleasant coaches and the ladies at train sessions are fun.

Negative experience: It has been the worst experience ever. Customer service doesn't exist.They did not give me back my deposit although they promised they would. I asked where I signed on that,the manager i spoke to said it was verbally mentioned and that was not the case. Extremely poor customer service. The manager there was the reason for me to decide not to sign with them.

Negative experience: i heard many bad things before about this gym and wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt. i have 3 months left of my contract and i can conclude that anytime fitness is a joke and this is the worst one in the city. got trapped into a 2 year contract because the “various membership options” actually only included 1 option for students but can’t do anything about that due to the ridiculous cancellation processes and fees. if there is more than 5 people the gym feels over crowded, packed and you will most definitely be waiting to use machines. a hamsters cage has more room for activity. also wanted to bring attention to the bathrooms as they are always dirty and smell rancid. The lack of equipment for such a price is a real disappointment not to mention rude and dismissive staff as well as personal trainers who are clueless. ‍♀️ for what i pay should have just gone to good life or big sky. save your money and your time and go to a gym where you will actually be able to workout and be consistent.

Fantastic experience: Very convenient open 24/7 and you can use you membership at any location. With the trial and promotions it's easy to join. This location has a nice atmosphere and is always clean. Small but not that busy. Staff is friendly and Lee is especially helpful.

Fantastic experience: The staff are SO helpful. The atmosphere is welcoming and nice, did a spin class foe the first time and I had the best time! The instructor and other people there were so encouraging! Love it! Also, very clean and bright, the equipment looks well taken care of as well.

Negative experience: I live in Chaparral and this is the closest AF to my house. I have been to over 10 different AF locations across the country and this gym comes last in terms of cleanliness. There is lots of dust everywhere from lack of cleaning and most of the equipment feels sticky. As a result, I regularly use the Sundance location now as it is worth the few minutes longer drive, they are bigger and much, much cleaner (you see staff constantly cleaning). The Silverado location is also very clean BTW… it is really too bad as it would be convenient to use the closest gym to your house and this gym always seems to be the least busy (I wonder why, other people feel the same?). Hope the owner sees this review and actually starts to make an effort into upkeep of their gym.

Fantastic experience: Switched to this gym from GoodLife and regret not signing up with Anytime in the first place.

Fantastic experience: I visited today to start my 7 days free trial at Chaparral location. The location was clean, well maintained and ample free parking. The staff are on the top of their game, especially Britney, very friendly and readily avaliable to provide assistance or answer and questions.

Negative experience: Do not sign up at this gym is way too small and way too busy to the point that you cannot work out and they are very unreasonable with being able to cancel it because you have no other choice

Negative experience: Be extremely weary - In December 2021 I came into Anytime and spoke with Shylo about needing a place to workout during December - January as I was back home from NY. I communicated clearly I would need 2 months of service and to cancel my membership afterwards. I was told this was fine and that the service would end. Fast forward to April and I was continuously charged a monthly membership to the tune of $250 until I caught it and cancelled my membership. I talked to Shylo and the owner Donna Reid about the miscommunication that led to the erroneous charges and I was told there would be no reduction or refund of the fees. To know that $250 was worth the price of turning someone who is a promoter to a harsh critic is extremely unfortunate.

I know Donna, the owner, helped with the resolution, much appreciated and certainly did not expect them to waive the fees for past months that my son was using the gym in Montreal but kudos to you. And of course, now that everything is resolved, Montreal is under another lockdown....praying that it doesn't happen in Calgary! Thank You! Karin

Fantastic experience: Great boutique gym.

Fantastic experience: I have had memberships at other gyms and have worked out at other gyms across North America, including other Anytime gyms, and I can say that without a doubt, this gym is my favourite! The size of the gym is perfect - I can superset my exercises without running a marathon, but there is enough room to not feel like I am in anyone's way. The gym is clean - there is always towels, spray bottles, cleaning wipes, and toilet paper. Sometimes I will leave the gym in the evening when others have not put away their weights properly, and by next day, the weights are all back in place. I often see the staff mopping, vacuuming, and wiping down the machines. The staff is friendly - every time I walk in the door, I am greeted with a smile and will often have friendly conversations. I have done group classes and one-on-one training, and always appreciate the coaching I receive. This has helped me grow not only in strength, but also in form. During COVID, when other gyms were shut down and STILL charging their customers, this Anytime froze all payments and rented their equipment out at reasonable prices. Thank you to Donna and all of the staff for making this gym a wonderful place to workout at!!!

Negative experience: The gym is okay, brutal rude staff. More importantly beware, i overheard from trainers at other locations that this was the worst performing gym and likely going out of business. Sundance gym is much better. And bigger, and way better staff. Notice how they respond to anyone that gives them a bad review. LOL!

Fantastic experience: Nice clean gym with all the equipment you need. Nice to have access to all locations.

Negative experience: As per other 1 star reviews, the staff is rude and pretends to care about you only when you are newly signing up. The area is VERY small and there is very limited machines. For the price there is better options within the area. Don't be fooled by the quick sign up. $70 key fob. $150 sign up fee. $35 admin fee occasionally ontop of the monthly membership fee. STAY AWAY.

Fantastic experience: Had a chance to visit this morning for a 3am gym session! This location was clean, bright, well maintained, and the fellow gym-goers were friendly! Looking forward to coming back, they had quite the nice selection of equipment, dumbbells, squat racks, and others... Right now reservations are required due to COVID restrictions, so make sure you check if you need to make a reservation (using the app or website). Update: Visited again, beautiful gym, nice and bright well maintained, looking forward to future visits.

Fantastic experience: Good gym right by the community with a great view out front. I don’t come often but good location to work out.

Negative experience: Lying admin staff! Careful!!!!! before you sign because if you want to cancel you have to move 50 km away and no other anytime fitness 5 km close to you with proof, die, being completely disabled or pay the rest of the months you signed for EVEN tho when you sign they say you JUST need 30 day notice to cancel it a LIE and if you call they basically tell you sorry nothing we can do!! I wanted to cancel cause I can’t afford it but of course they don’t care about your wallet or finances they just want their money! There’s other gyms that will let you cancel cause you never know when a pandemic it’s going to tore your finances. Or whatever the future holds so check your options!!! Also it’s small and short equipped for the price!

Negative experience: Never had a bad experience per say but the membership is outrageously expensive month to month and has a bunch of tiny hidden fees: key fob was $70 non refundable, paying $105 to cancel. And for less than half the price I'm going to a new gym 5 times the size right down the road. They also request proof of me moving in the next 15 days or I have to pay another month. Don't sign the contract, do your research on other gyms.

Negative experience: I agree with all the low ratings. I will be telling my friends and family members to quit anytime Fitness. I have told one of the staffs that I will be cancelling my membership which he said sure to, later I found out that not only they did not cancel my membership they got their collection team on me. I should've gotten written confirmation that he have cancelled my membership.

Negative experience: Careful when signing up for a membership. The $50.00 deposit on your fob that they will tell you about is a lie. You DO NOT get that money back. You will receive random charges on your card for "Facility Upgrades", so beware of that. The gym is kept clean so that's a plus, however, it's crazy busy from early morning until late at night, so if you don't enjoy waiting for a machine, it's best to workout between midnight and 5AM. Last but not least, when my girlfriend and I received our free fitness assessment upon signing up, we met with a kid who was still in high school, who showed us how to put a battery in a heart rate monitor. When we asked for a REAL Fitness assessment and help in achieving our goals, their only times available with a trainer that has actual experience were from 8AM-5PM; the times that we are at work. Buy some versatile compact gym equipment for home use and save your money!!

Positive experience: Been coming here for a while and the place is super clean and the staff is polite but only complaint is 45 lb plates shouldn't be low on the rack. They're awkward to get out and that's how people hurt their back. I would put the 45s where the 25s are, then put the 25s where the 10s are, then put the 10s on the bottom.

Positive experience: I attend this club on a regular basis. I love it, the people are great. The staff always have smiles and something as small as that makes such a huge difference. Its very clean, probably one of the cleanest fitness clubs i have attended. Please remember Iron Gyms are not everywhere so if that's what you're looking for it is not here. The clientele has manners, no screamers, yelling or weights being dropped. I come to a location like this as an outlet. Its peaceful, the demographic makes this what it is. As it grows it will make more people happy including myself!

Fantastic experience: Great gym! Always very clean and the staff always says hi when you walk in. Trainers are Great, you can do both personal training and small group classes which work wonders. Others say it's small but I find it perfect, it's not a giant intimidating space so I'm comfortable going in every day to work out.

Fantastic experience: I've had several gym memberships over the years and this is the most welcomed and comfortable I've felt at a gym. Staff always says hi and knows most people by name. They have a great range of classes that provide great results for beginners to advanced. Also did personal trainer sessions and the trainers push you harder than you thought was possible to acheive your goals. Since starting in April 2017 anytime fitness has helped me loose 15lbs and countless inches.

Negative experience: Great location however the gym is quite small. They are missing a lot of equipment and the worse part is you get locked into a contract that you can’t get out of.

Negative experience: Overpriced. Staff only care about new customers showing little to no interest for pre-existing members. You're better off finding a better price at another gym then using this one if you're in the area. Atmosphere is not very welcoming.
