Fantastic experience: In a world filled with expensive gyms with hidden fees, Excel stands in a class by itself. The owner, Bill is a fantastic guy that genuinely cares about every member. The members are very welcoming and friendly, it truly is a ego free gym.

Fantastic experience: I joined this gym in January of 2022 and I definitely will be joining up again. I appreciate the no-nonsense type of atmosphere where you can just go and work out. The owner Billy is a super guy as well as the staff, I highly recommend this gym.

Positive experience: Decent gym but over priced for the machines and space they have. Has a wide open window, un-tinted for runners to look on to the road while running and vice versa, decent place for lifting

Fantastic experience: Great gym. Has a golds gym vibe. People come here to work, not to socialize. Everyone will help you with a spot. You can leave your valuables anywhere. It will be right where you left it. There is a community shelf for workout powders and chalk. Just replace what you use. No cash grab admin sign up fee. If you want to get in shape without the fashion show vibe with people who seriously work out, then come to excel.

Fantastic experience: Hands down one of the best gyms in the entire GTA. Not only is it a very large and spacious gym with all the top of the line machines and equipment that members of all ages and fitness levels can possibly want and ask for but moreover it is an extremely positive environment to be in with the nicest/kindest people ever as both club members and also as trainers and other staff. The owner Bill is a super nice guy and very caring and supportive of all his members. Not something that anyone can expect at any of the big box gyms in the city. Most importantly, membership prices are very very reasonable and affordable.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going here for more than 8 years and it’s only dawned on me now to leave a review. Reviews are also something I never care to do, but Excel has more than earned it. I used to live in Pickering and go to this gym. Now I live in Toronto, and there’s a reason I make the drive to Excel from there to workout still. There is without question no other gym I’d rather go to than this one. Super friendly environment, the owner Bill is absolutely one of the kindest people I’ve met, and the rest of the staff are just as helpful and friendly. Not to mention all the members here share the same qualities. The prices are some of the lowest you’ll find besides Fit4Less, The gym is never busy, and there is plenty of superb quality weights and equipment so you never have to wait to use something. And just as the other reviews state, this has an old school “club” feel to it. It’s refreshing always coming from other gyms to Excel, as most gyms fail to encapsulates such a feeling. It’s safe to say that personally, for me, Bill has earned a member for life!

Fantastic experience: Joined this place lately, the manager of the gym is an amazing, welcoming and helpful person. Staff is pretty cool and gym has a lot of equipment. I'd like to say there's 5 seperate sections: 1. A lot of machines like Pec fly, rowing machines and assisted chin ups etc. (Right when you walk in through the entrance) 2. Boxing: It's got a mini ring(sort of), a punching bag, a speed bag, skip rope, battle ropes, gloves and boxes for step ups) 3. ️ Weight Room + Barbell section: This room got fancy artwork, a lot of dumbbells, squat racks and a lot of exercise equipment. 4. ‍♀️ Cardio space (Upstairs): It has treadmills, ellipticals and different types of bikes. 5. Warm up sort of place (Upstairs): It's got smaller dumbbells, kettlebells, Swiss Ball, medicine ball etc. P.S. I'm fairly new to fitness, pardon my references to equipment.

Fantastic experience: I've been to a few gyms throughout the years and Excel Fitness is definitely one of the best. Bill and his staff are very welcoming and friendly, and the gym is clean. Lots of machines and free weights available. Truely one of the best bodybuilding gyms around.

Positive experience: Its an old gym. Not pretty as goodlife but you got everything in there. Washrooms are disgusting. Just make sure you use the bathroom before you head up there. You can get a good workout there.

Fantastic experience: I used to train here like 25 yrs ago and recently rejoined. New owner and the gym has expanded a little. Good old style bodybuilder type gym. Good equipment and little distractions.

Fantastic experience: First day there and it was good. Not crowded for a saturday morning. A variety of equipment which is great. Never had to wait for anything. Clean, santizing all around and people follow the protocols.

Negative experience: Covid 19 mask rules not enforced, lots of idiots in here refuse to wear a mask

Fantastic experience: Wicked gym, definitely not a social club like good life and other big box gyms. You are able to go there, go through your routine with zero interruptions. And you cant beat the price or people. The owner bill is awesome. This gym has that average Joe's feel to it.

Fantastic experience: A great gym. Tried and true equipment, great environment, members who are there to work out. This isn't a fashion show here... it's a solid gym with a very competitive monthly fee (with no hidden fees.) Bill is a solid owner and if you're looking for a real gym, one that isn't a big box gym, you have to at least come in for a visit.

Positive experience: Its low key atmosphere. I can go at anytime and run through my workout smoothly. Equipments are old school so you are the one actually doing the work. It's not a glamorous setting but has a "club" feel.

Fantastic experience: Amazing place . Best deal in town for a gym . Highly recommend . They have all sorts of equipment from strongman Atlas stones, deadlift plateform, to some boxing stuff. It's a bit on the older side when it comes to decor of the gym. But I mean if you are looking for a place to workout not socialize then this is the place to go. The owner Bill is also super accomadating and nice .

Mostly weights, but enough cardio machines upstairs to satisfy anyone. Also got a small boxing are for that as well. Doesn't get too busy, and it's close to the go station :)
