Fantastic experience: Very Clean and not much crowded.

Negative experience: I am a member of planet fitness and I went in this location to workout. Because I am a white card member they were gonna make me pay to come in and use their gym because I didn't have a membership for their location.. most other planets fitness's I've been to wave that fee out of common gym courtesy because they dont agree with the extra added fee. I understand as a black card member you have access to certain additional services.. but being able to only go to one location as a white card member is not right, as a member regardless of card status I should be able to walk into any planet location and work out plain and simple.. planet fitness change your rules because they arent working in your favour.

Positive experience: Would give max stars but there no longer open 24 hours all week plus no trainer

Negative experience: Customer service especially from certain staff is very bad. Saw a teenager being verbally downplayed as his student account was closed by his parents and he was in the process of opening a new one and he came in with cash. Instead of working with him, they kept throwing corporate rules at him. How can a 15-16 year old understand this mumble jumble contracts when even I had difficulty understanding it. When I am at this location, now I don't even greet the people at the front. Tired of being ignored when I used to greet them when I walk in and leave. The lady manager is the worse. Some equipments are also not upto to date and torn fabric is noticeable and you can't do some exercises which other gyms allow. I avoid this gym and only go there when I am unable to go to Belleville or Kingston. These Kingston and Belleville locations are far better then the one in Napanee. Wish a new gyms opens up soon in Napanee so there is competition so we can leave PF and go elsewhere where there is better Customer service and clients are appreciated. If I could give negative stars, I would have chosen that as this PF doesn't even deserve 1 star.

Positive experience: I work out and then I leave. Nothing really of note here besides them making myself upgrade to a Black Card Membership to let my mother workout with myself 1 time. As a result I now pay twice the regular cost to workout. I don't care for the tanning booth or the massage chairs & I bring my own drinks - so I'm kind of screwed & can't downgrade. Be sure whoever says they'll go with you WILL ACTUALLY GO before upgrading your membership, or you'll be losing ALOT of money for no reason. They got machines for cardio and resistance training, as well as machines to help your body's flexibility. Upper body, lower body & core are all covered here and the staff are pretty chill too.

Fantastic experience: Big shout out to Kim and her staff at the Napanee Club. Staff were dusting and cleaning lockers in the men's change room this morning. The club was spotless. This is not my home club, but I have been coming here since it opened. Well done!

Negative experience: My spouse and I enjoyed planet fitness as black card members, and had good experiences up until the pandemic. When the gym reopened, rather than getting an email or phone call, I find out because they just started taking money out of my account again. No communication with members whatsoever. I called to suspend my membership, they could not do that. Since at the time the recommendation by the health unit was to avoid places like gyms,I did not feel comfortable making use of my membership but was forced to keep paying. I had to go in person to cancel, and then there was a charge of over $100 to cancel? I told them I am still interested in going, just when I am comfortable health wise with the pandemic. That wasn't an option. I told them it was the last money they'll ever get out of me and they were all too happy to swipe my card. Greedy and shortsighted. A good gym with predatory billing practices. I will never be back.

Negative experience: For a gym that’s supposed to be judgement free, it definitely is not. When I signed up the lady at the counter was unfriendly and snarky. While doing my first workout I don’t think I’ve ever felt more judged. Only gave 2 stars cause it did look clean.

Fantastic experience: Great Planet Fitness location in Napanee!

Fantastic experience: Super clean which is huge for me. Alwaya friendly, non-judgemental staff willing and able to help you out or just answer questions. Looking forward to getting back after recovery from surgery.

Positive experience: Great staff and equipment. This is the first PF that I’ve been to that does not provide wifi. It can all be done with a central hub then wireless. If the IT guy doesn’t know how to do it. Get a new IT guy.

Negative experience: Manager has poor people skills and the place could have wifi and be a bit cleaner

Negative experience: I paid for a Black Card Membership, to allow my guests to use the facilities. I have no childcare options and obviously, this is not a gym, who provides childcare services. I visited the Napanee, Ontario site and I asked to sit in my car, in the parking lot, or if need be, I would bring my son, inside the front entrance and have him sit with me, while my guest, could at least shower. This wasn't allowed. I demoted myself to a regular member and I won't be recommending this location to anyone, in the future.

Negative experience: Weight broke in half when placed gently on floor. Dirty moldy changerooms with mice dropping in the lockers. Would not reccomend

Fantastic experience: Love this gym. Big fan of their black card membership. Just discovered they have a massage chair too! I like the crowd meter, tells you when the gym is low on people. Wanting to sign up for a class for something soon, not entirely informed what is available.

Positive experience: Friendly staff, always clean, never too crowded. Only complaint is there's no scales to weigh urself... and I always trip on the bump in the floor in the locker room lol

Negative experience: Cleaning of mens shower area had become unsanitary. Locals think it is cool to leave large dirty toe nails in the shower area.

Negative experience: I have tried to suspend my membership over phone due to current pandemic x2. Was told I have to attend the gym to suspend. Just because the gym has opened up during a pandemic doesn't mean that I want to attend during a pandemic. PF opened and immediately started taking my membership fees despite asking to continue to suspend membership. Not pleased - shouldn't be an arguement with the current pandemic period!

Negative experience: I read today that GoodLife Fitness is closing across Canada. Why is Planet Fitness not showing leadership and doing the same to protect their customers. Shame on You!

Fantastic experience: Planet Fitness has given me my life back. I absolutely love all the Staff. They treat everyone exactly the same & always give great suggestions. Nobody ever makes you feel uncomfortable for any reason. A Great Crew. The machines are Sparkling clean & well maintained. The massage tables, lounges, tanning beds, massage chairs are all very relaxing. The showers, bathrooms, change rooms are very clean.. All the little extras that add up to fantastic day at the gym is what makes Planet Fitness the absolute best place to workout.

Fantastic experience: I have been regularly going to PF for about three months. I have had a really positive experience so far, which I was nervous about going in, and have been excited to see results!

Positive experience: Quiet and yet fairly busy place to work on your health and fitness. Been going steady a couple months and plan to keep going.

Positive experience: Was in the area for an event. Was staying in basically a field style camping area with no amenities. Stopped off here several times for use of the shower facilities. The staff was friendly and welcoming and the facility was clean. My only issue is that they DO NOT RECYCLE! What the heck! I purchased a bottled beverage from them but when I was finished, only the trash was available to discard it. Not impressed with that particular aspect of this location.

Positive experience: Staff were super friendly and always cleaning. The gym is in great shape and always spotless the times I’ve been in. Change rooms are a great size compared to Kingston and I do like the equipment better in Napanee. Only complaint is that some spots can be a little crowded in the stretching room and around the cable towers in there. Quieter gym, more parking and haven’t had to wait for a single piece of equipment yet. Worth the extra 10 minutes on my drive to go to Napanee rather than Kingston.

Positive experience: This gym layout is really nice! Great equipment and I LOVE that they built the change rooms larger !! (Than Kingston’s location). This location is unique with a different crowd of people, but I like it. It’s a a lot quieter than Kingston’s ..... (more parking etc) anyhow just a nice gym. I really enjoyed my workout there. Lots of tanning beds and massage chairs to use as well. Great spot. (And I’d say I’m an intense trainer.) ;) it’s a good spot.

Positive experience: Clean, good equipment, nice staff who are always helpful.

Negative experience: The gym itself is mediocre. Definitely not tailored towards someone who is seriously training as they do not have any bars for squats/ deadlifts or bench press only the Smith machines and limited dumbells. Better for those mostly interested in cardio and machines. Overall atmosphere of gym is non motivational.
