Negative experience: $70 biweekly (they call that ‘discounted’) and only one stairmaster that sounds like a dying animal? Yikes.

Fantastic experience: I’m rating 5 stars for this gym in specific, because the staff/workers are great. The gym is always clean, has everything you would need. The colour in the gym has changed too for a better aesthetic I noticed. 24/7 it’s open. The only thing is, is there might need to be more weights/plates for the strong people, but… yea great gym overall.

Fantastic experience: Today was the first time I had been to Anytime Fitness Penticton and I was absolutely thrilled and impressed by how clean the entire Gym and change rooms were, the staff were so friendly and welcoming, Joel and staff are doing a great job! Fantastic experience: Have been a member of Anytime Fitness for years but I rarely use the one in my neighborhood because of the staff and the facilities. I maintain a membership so that I can use a gym when I am on vacation. I recently stumbled into the Penticton location gym and what an absolute pleasant experience it has been! The staff here is friendly and welcoming and the gym is one of the cleanest I have ever seen. Clean to the point that I have mentioned it to the manager! All the equipment is in good condition and other members I’ve seen here are nice and friendly. Also want to note the good location and lots of parking.

Negative experience: I am from Prince George location recently moved here and start using gym last week and since then the manage Joel here giving me such a hard time by the reason their own new and unusal shoe policy. Everytime i changed my shoes in my car and go in with proper gym shoes. But he want me to change shoes in front of his camera which make no sense. I showe him yesterday in camera that i change my shoes in car and literally i parked my car in front of door and now he lockout me i paid for service not for that harassment or stress. I am using gym for last 1.5 yr and i never had any problem . I dont know what this guy doing. Absolutely disappointing. Negative experience: Penticton BC was a gong show from the start I never should have signed a damn thing. The key fob I paid a $65 deposit for is now non refundable?? and i have to pay a gym enhancement fee for a month I am no longer a memeber? That is downright theivery. Horrible service, substandard gym. Different staff will tell you different things. Tanning bed rarely worked. I will never do business with an Anytime Fitness again and you better believe i am telling everyone I know what scammers they are. Join any gym but this one.

Fantastic experience: I love anytime I can take it everywhere, even Cancún and it’s all the time with tanning under a hundred a month. Anytime fitness in general needs to put vanity areas in so I don’t run the risk of dropping my expensive makeup brushes in the public sink

Negative experience: Probably the worst gym in Penticton, minimal equipment and what the do have is on the verge of breaking, is broken, or is covered in duct tape. Last resort and counting down the days until my membership is up.

Fantastic experience: I go out of my way to visit this location every time I’m in the interior. Usually late at night so I don’t have much interaction with the staff but it’s always clean and I really enjoy the variation in equipment compared to a lot of locations I visit in the lower mainland. Definitely recommend stopping in for a workout if you’re in the area.

Positive experience: Always clean and tidy. Good squat racks for powerlifting. The weight room is separate from other machines and squat racks making it a bit tough for programming that requires access to both in one set. Nice studio space and friendly staff.

Negative experience: NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!!! My annual contract was up and I decided to cancel my membership. Talked to the staff members and got different answers every time I went there. It says on my contract that I can cancel my membership anytime but the lady I spoke with said I have to wait 30 more days and still have to make 2 more payments before they can process my cancellation. It's been over 2 weeks and I still haven't received any confirmation that my membership has been cancelled. There are plenty of good gyms in the area, save your money and go elsewhere.

Negative experience: Be sure to read the cancellation policy regardless of what the employees tell you. When I signed up I was assured that I could pay manually each month on a month-to-month membership.. This was not the case and they continued to debit my account months after I had quit going...

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of this gym since it opened in Penticton and have seen several staff come and go and those who care about customer service and cleanliness and those who do not. In the past few months since hiring new staff I have been pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and great customer care. These guys are friendly, knowledgeable and keep the gym very clean. They ask for feedback on how to improve my experience and seem to genuinely care! Big kudos to R & R ☺️

Negative experience: This anytime fitness does not even compare to others. My wife and I moved to penticton from Chilliwack in the summer. When we left Chilliwack anytime, we had friendly staff, training available and a welcoming facility. The operation in penticton has none of that. No staff, no services ( except for weights), and a dungeon like atmosphere. We have been trying for 3 weeks to cancel our membership. According to new management this has to go through some regional manager. Waiting three weeks for a call back. We have no desire to go to this gym and one we do eventually cancel will never go back

Negative experience: Gym in always dirty, bathrooms are as unsanitary as public washrooms at lake. Very disappointed with the prices we have to pay with these poor conditions

Negative experience: This gym has gone downhill. No staff at all anymore. Dirty, dirty, dirty. Rag bins are overflowing, no clean rags. Sanitizer bottles are empty. Rags strewn all over the floor and on top of the machines. The bathrooms are filthy. This gym is disgusting. I pay a high price to be a member and the owner doesn't care about the gym or his clientele.

I tried to cancel multiple times but covid restrictions made it unclear??? Their staff members are not very helpful and they've costed me nearly $1000 in membership status that I thought I had backed out of! Oh yeah, and no reimbursement

Fantastic experience: Waiting to cross the border, came to workout. It's a very nice club, and I've been in anytime fitness clubs from Alberta to Arizona and this is a great place to workout.

Fantastic experience: I originally joined this location. I would go late at night because it wasnt busy. My membership includes tanning also which is great to be able to get in both at the same place. This location is super clean, they always had ample amounts of clean clothes and spray bottles of disinfectant to wipe down the equipment. Equipment was great. Everything was so new with lots of variety for cardio! The tanning bed was neglected a bit with burnt out bulbs, so that was a little disappointing. There is a huge seperate fitness room which was awesome for me to use for yoga, and since I was just getting into it, the privacy was really nice. Overall I really enjoyed going!

Negative experience: Not impressed with contracts here. Look around for better deals with less commitment. In response to tge business's comment below, I just exited a locked year long contract that I only used for 4 months, because of the pandemic ruining everything. I have been much happier running in the ice and snow and really could have used an opportunity to exit when I moved across town.

Fantastic experience: Recently the past 3 weeks I choose to join Anytime Fitness as well hire Alex Calmets as my personal trainer. As any new habit, discipline and consistency are challenging to create without any sort of accountability or follow up and I strongly believe it is one of the most passionate and dedicated expectations Alex leads with. While I am not at my fitness goal and in fact starting out, I am confident with Alex's training and coaching I will become where I want to be. Alex remains credible with his own personal transformation, university education and he has tried, investigated and gone through what works and what does not so you do not have to guess for yourself. Alex is personable, asks the right questions and is a drill sargeant with the best of intentions to get RESULTS ; Alex is just as committed as you are. I recommend doing the consultation and choosing Alex as your trainer. Alex has demonstrated he is trustworthy and when you are feeling vulnerable he will be able to walk you through the process.. even when you are experiencing muscle soreness or what you describe as 'pain' from workouts etc, he will take the time to properly instruct a thorough stretch routine and ensure you prevent further injury. Being around Alex's energy is motivating and when you start to feel unmotivated as motivation is temporary, he reminds you of your 'WHY'. Book with him, and don't wait until the new year.. your goals can start tomorrow!

Fantastic experience: Alex is fairly new to Anytime Fitness Penticton and he is an amazing personal trainer. I'm 54 and have never had the desire to hire a personal trainer until having a session with Alex. He is very knowledgeable in many areas.... patient and kind yet gives you the push you need. He will also give you pointers when it's not even your session with him. Highly recommend!

Positive experience: The gym is somewhat on the smaller side but was not busy when I went around 9am. There is separate room for weights which is nice. Overall the gym was clean and people were abiding by COVID protocols here.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of this gym for over a year now. This location is always clean and there’s plenty enough equipment for everyone; I never have to wait to get on a piece of cardio gear or use a specific weight machine. Whether it be cardio, weight training, cool down/stretching or digital classes, this gym is perfect for hitting my fitness goals (it’s the only 24/7 gym in town and the membership can be used EVERYWHERE across Canada and the USA). The also have tanning body scanning at this location. The staff here are supportive (it doesn’t feel like they there to sell you something) and the overall “vibe” of the space is very inclusive. Ahmed, the regional manager miraculously seems to be at all 3 locations at once! If you have any questions about fitness, nutrition or the gym itself, be sure to hit him up, “anytime”

Negative experience: Had to unfortunately had to transfer my membership over to someone I know but still being charged for it and will not return my call to discuss this. When I was transferring it over I felt disregarded and pushed out and no confirmation that it was canceled all was said "I'll cancel it later." I was gonna return when I was able to but after this I wont and will not recommend anyone to go here.

Fantastic experience: This location has always been great but recently I wanted to write an updated review. I've been a member for 4 years here and during the Covid-19 restriction I decided to cancel my membership because of it. However, I was told by the manager to keep my key fob at the time just in case I wanted to sign back up. After the restriction ended this month I called the local gym and spoke with the manager Matt, he was very attentive and responsive to my situation and within a day he managed to get me back on my membership plan with no hassle whatsoever. For all the time I've been a member at this gym it has been well kept, clean and the staff and other members are always friendly and polite! I couldn't be happier to have this as my go-to gym for workouts after work or whenever I get bored.

I was so impressed with the atmosphere, cleanliness, up-to-date equipment, wonderful staff And especially the really clean bathrooms and showers!! Fantastic experience: Had a rough year that ended in me being unable to walk on my own and use my gym membership, because I had been unable to go into the gym to have my membership paused I had been paying for over 6 months and unable to to anything about it. Came back to the gym for the first time last week since my motorcycle accident and I was able to speak in person with both the district manager and the owner of the gym and I was fortunate enough for them to decide to extend my membership to make up for the payments I had already made and had not used. Thank you Anytime Fitness for helping me get back on my feet :)

Fantastic experience: Been to Anytime's all over Canada and this is by far the best maintained. Staff are always active in cleaning and maintaining, always clothes to wipe down equipmen. Equipment is in excellent shape and there is always plenty of room. Great atmosphere for anybody looking to start their fitness journey.

Positive experience: Great gym, beautiful but very unhappy with the customer service I got. I signed up for a free trial specifically because it was free. The next day I got a call saying if I want to get my free trial I must pay a deposit to get a key fob? The whole point of the free trial is not wanted to commit to getting a key yet. But I was told that that has “always been the policy”. She was very rude on the phone and completely turned me away from the gym even though I was very excited.
