Negative experience: BE AWARE. Nick the owner took advantage of me. Cost me months of membership even though I requested a hold on my account for sustaining a injury. Argues over the phone, quite rude and wont do the right thing. Dosent even want to confirm cancellation of set membership. Will be reporting to better business bureau and taking to small claims court. Nick Cancel my account. I will put a freeze on this payment from my bank. Armen Edit as a response: No Nick, you belittled me over the phone asking for more proof and kept saying you run a business here as in you take advantage of people when they have an injury and need their account on hold even when you seen no usage in the gym for months you kept fighting me and charging me. I asked you do to the right thing and put my account on hold for a few weeks and you keep asking when will I be better like I'm a medical professional who knows the time I will be healthy enough to resume my gym routine. All I wanted was some sort of compensation but you keep fighting me and your offer of 2 moths, that was never honored as again you want to talk down on me. Keep running a business as you say, this is personal now. We will have an opportunity to resolve this is court. Even though it shall cost me more then it's worth I will not allow to be treated in such regard. I'm luck to have a best friend who's sister is a lawyer. My time will come and I hope you understand you can not treat people this way. I understand you renovated your gym and need money but to run a business like this is utmost despicable.

Negative experience: I had called to inquire about a different membership than the one I had in the past. Because there are more Anytime Fitness gyms in Ottawa, closer to the locations I frequent, I figured I might be able to ask if they had any memberships that allowed me to bring someone as a guest more than once, and the guy that answered told me that you can one time, "otherwise how would they stay in business", to which I responded with, "Well Planet Fitness allows you to bring a guest with their upgraded Membership so I thought maybe you guys have that too." That's when he said "Well good for them." And I said "Yeah I guess, thanks." This interaction did not require the amount of abrasiveness that I got, I was just trying to ask about your memberships, and what you have. Not offering some sort of upgraded package that allows you to bring someone else is your guys' loss and you don't need to take it out on me for asking, maybe hydrate some more so you don't feel as grumpy when you answer the phone. Even the first time when I bought my gym membership for this gym in particular, in 2022, the guy was pushy and kind of rude and wouldn't take my answer of "I'm just checking out different gyms." The next thing I know, I'm in an office and signing the gym membership and only going once or twice to this gym because I wanted to check out other gyms and felt wildy uncomfortable with the male staff member. This dude might not even be the same dude as last year, but the service wasn't great. On a separate note, the gym is nice, from the other reviews, I would have liked to have spoken with Jennifer instead.

Fantastic experience: I transferred from the barrhaven location to this location because of how much more this gym has to offer. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, abundant amount of equipment and the washrooms are very clean. I made majority of my progress in this location and made so many friends in this location and im happy to call this my second home.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member at several commercial gyms in the city (Goodlife, Movati, Planet Fitness) but I have had the best experience at Anytime Fitness. Special shout-out to the Hunt Club location for always keeping the facilities clean, excellent staff/trainers and active ownership from Nik and Jen.

Fantastic experience: I always have a great time here, I took my daughter and we had the best mommy & daughter workout ever. The staff is kind even the people who attend this gym is nice, clean, respectful it’s such a safe place so grateful to be a member would definitely recommend.

The staff is welcoming, the facilities are clean, the trainers are phenomenal, and the atmosphere is great. After years of looking, I have found my home gym. Thank you for the great space.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member at a couple of local Ottawa gyms and Anytime Fitness at Hunt Club is by far the cleanest and most welcoming club I've had the pleasure of training at. The staff are all excellent and the equipment is always in good condition. Richard is a great help, always ready to answer any questions or give you tips on technique and form. I highly recommend checking out AF at Hunt Club.

Positive experience: They have a one week pass for visitors for $56. The gym itself is a little small but not too busy which is nice. They have basic dumbbells, some cable machines, and a cardio area. There’s no squat rack or bench press, just two smith machines. Also no towels for the shower either.

Negative experience: I'd give it a 0 if I could but it won't let me. Let me explain why, someone I know was a victim of leering from the Latino trainer and when that person spoke to tue manager there, that person was dismissed by being said "the cameras don't show the whole story" when they were told to look at the camera, had personal information given to the trainer and that information is only available to the managers as is law, and that manager had continued to harass the person at their home after hours without consent to be called or have their names and face exposed.(and legally that is called harassment, leering is also considered sexual harassment) So if you join, make sure you're careful because if you have a problem, they won't care about it. And sir, yes I'm a member, I saw what had taken place and spoke to the person once he left the gym since he looked horribly angry.

Positive experience: In the absence of a suggestion box on the premises (Hunt Club), may I suggest you drop the practice of reserving equipment/weights so they can be used by someone 15 or 20 minutes later? I circled the gym floor twice looking for the 10 pound dumbbells only to notice the trainer had set aside them for someone to use at random between cutesy chats about holiday plans. If weights aren't being used at that precise moment, they should be left on the rack for others to enjoy.

Positive experience: Anytime fitness is not quite “anytime”. I’ve been coming by for a few days now to sign up and been told to come after 10. I come after 10 and I am told to come in a few hours. Gym looks clean and tidy.

Fantastic experience: I just started going to this gym and I found the staff very friendly and the facilities better than I had expected. It is located in an area that has plenty of parking spaces and it is easy to get to. I thoroughly enjoy my time there and find my training sessions perfectly challenging and my coach extremely knowledgeable and motivating. I highly recommend it.

Fantastic experience: Since transitioning from another Anytime Fitness in Maple, Ontario (another amazing facility), I was also very impressed by the range of equipment and level of cleanliness at this facility. I have been attending Anytime Fitness in Hunt Club quite regularly since 2017, and the facility has always been very clean, kept up-to-date with legislation regarding covid, and offered many fitness programs/personal training. Though I haven't signed up for these additional services/amenities, it's always nice to know they're available, especially when those starting to exercise for the first time aren't motivated to do so alone (I hear that quite often from colleagues/friends, so if you're reading this, motivation can be difficult but the staff are here to help)! Another point worth noting is the degree of friendliness offered by the Hunt Club team, who always take a moment to greet their members whenever it's not inconvenient (i.e. mid-exercise): the most notable are Nick and Jen (the owners), Richard (the manager), and Chad (who currently manages the Findlay Creek location); the others, who are also very kind, I've had fewer opportunities to greet as they're usually busy keeping the facility in top-shape! So if you're looking for a fitness club that's regularly cleaned, has private bathrooms, a wide-enough range of equipment to make progress (especially for newcomers), flexible training/fitness programs, optimal hours where you wouldn't need to wait long (if at all) to use equipment, and a kind/courteous environment, I'd strongly recommend Anytime Fitness Hunt Club and Findlay Creek!

Negative experience: Loved going to this gym, been going here for little over a year before the pandemic, but I recently moved across town and I had to cancel my membership. First time I called the owner Jen was super sweet and let me try out a different location before making a decision. Unfortunately the location near my new place just isn't as nice as Hunt Club's. I called again to cancel and this time Nik (also an owner) picked up. Maybe he was in a bad mood but from the moment he picked up, his abrasive and rude attitude threw me off. Anyways he said he would cancel my membership and then abruptly hung up on me. I'm just saying, it was uncalled for and very unprofessional, which is so unfortunate because it really ruined my perception of this place. Nik, if you see this review, I hope you had a banana and sat outside for a bit and I hope that helped.

Fantastic experience: Though Anytime Fitness is a franchise, this location is obviously owned with pride, and cared for by its members. Very friendly and supportive, with enthusiastic staff. They have invested heavily in supporting peoples' fitness journeys despite COVID-19 restrictions and lockdowns, and the protective measures and cleaning protocols show that care.

Fantastic experience: One of my favourite locations. Lots of equipment, everything you could possibly need. Friendly staff, patrons are respectful. Dealt with COVID really well with partitions between treadmills and good cleaning protocols. Hoping to keep working out here for years to come.

Fantastic experience: I'd say it was bad to keep people away but its a great place so far. Not overly crowded, people are friendly, things are as hygienic as possible. A bit expensive but i haven't see something I need it doesn't have so far. A smaller location as well so there's not a ton of everything to go around but it has what you need. If its not too busy its a great place to hang out

Furthermore the couple that owns this location is World Class, they go above and beyond to make this a place where you're encouraged to be your best

Positive experience: Nice gym, better than the other anything fitness I have visited. Slightly bigger too however I wished there were more benches for the free weights. Often have to wait until somebody is done even late at night. Otherwise totally worth the price

Positive experience: I have been to a dozen AF gyms; this is one is pretty nice. Equipment seems a bit old, but it will get the job done. There is pretty much anything you need. The gym is average in size. It may get too crowded (it wasn’t when I went, very early in the morning). There are 3 showers and a changing room. The place was clean. Lots of parking.

With a clean layout and ample space, you will be sure to find every machine or free weight you enjoy most! The facility is well kept and bathrooms are always clean. Fantastic experience: After a long time of going here an most recently again on an off after trying a few other gyms coming back to this one feels different then every other gym. This is a amazing facility with great staff. Biggest difference being in this gym compared to other is a feeling of acceptance an no judgment compared to other gyms.

Negative experience: No staff at all!! Can't get inside to sign up on the weekend!? And no one picks up the phone. Typical I guess I would have to be retired or take a day off work to get inside....

Comfortobal and clean place to work out as well as the equipment. it's flexible gym in terms of hours and locations too. One thing that I really do like about this gym is that you can Access any gym around the world using your key which would save you a lot of money while you are traveling.

Fantastic experience: Always clean and the staff is super friendly. I love coming here. I've been attending some of the other Anytime Fitness locations and this is the best one by far. The only reason I don't come more often is I simply haven't a fully developed fitness lifestyle, which this gym motivates for very well. I'm military and prefer this over the free fitness facilities I get. Favourite feature: Dynamic exercise room. Select about any type of workout, including spinning classes, on a touch screen interface and a huge screen drops down and projects your workout. Other good stuff: -Friendly staff -Always clean -3 individual shower/change rooms and more individual change rooms. Other gyms are limited by this -Full indoor workout equipment (weights, cable machines, cardio, etc. ) -Often not crowded (at least when I go) -Staff is friendly and not pushy -Membership price is worth it's value and way more -Community minded. Members get an input as to what the owners buy for the gym. Don't expect: -A pool. Go to Brewer park pool in winter and the PSP pool in CFB Uplands during the summer(free for military) -Live instructor-led classes (they have a thing for that and it works) -To be bothered by anyone during your workout

Fantastic experience: The gym is always clean, great size, top quality studio space with huge drop down screen to do a very wide variety of instructional classes. Awesome staff, good quality machines, brand new and always clean changrooms/bathrooms.
