Carrington Skatepark

Negative experience: zero seating in the shade. Wanted to put picnic blanket in visible range from skatepark and it’s not here.

Fantastic experience: One of my favourite skate spots in Calgary It’s small and simple but fun to shred It is however popular with children and parents not always paying attention to safety It’s very windy in the spring and sometimes impossible to shred because of it The crew that’s been there over the years is very friendly!

Fantastic experience: Visited the park recently. Nice park. Ny 7 year old had lots of fun.loved the tall structures and slides, unless other nearby parks. Toddlers and tong ones don't have a lot to play with. It is missing common themes like swings and see-saw. Like that it's near cycling and walk paths.

Positive experience: A nice park. The placement of some of their design elements is a little puzzling in regards to the skate side. It is slippery smooth and built on a bit of a slope. Good overall

Fantastic experience: Great park! Has a zipline and lots of climbing. A bit harder for smaller children though and the regular slide is strangely hard to access. Otherwise a wonderful place. It also has that soft rubber flooring that I love to walk on.

Positive experience: It's a nice area with variety in the build, however it's quite small. My 3 boys were happily sharing with a teen skateboarder until 6 children arrived. That made the place overly busy so my kids left. There is a picnic table and benches; eventually a large grassy area will be opened - it's still growing.

Fantastic experience: Great park! No complaints! My kids wore masks whereas most others did not but all the children played beautifully together and all were supervised well by adults. I like that it is very open around the park and that there is some fencing so you don't have to worry as much about little kids running off in a split second.

Fantastic experience: I love this skatepark. It is kid friendly and there's skaters with many different levels of experience.

Fantastic experience: Carrington Skate Spot is a little too small to be called a skate park but it's a nice little spot. There are two quarter pipes. The smaller one is around 3 feet and has a nice hole in the transition to carve or grind over. There's a round volcano transition with coping around a pole. Lots of benches with metal edges and some stairs with grindable features around them. If it got busy here it would be tight since it's not very big. This spot is well worth checking out.

Positive experience: The skateboard park is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood usually it's full of kids sometimes the older kids take over but lots of fun for everyone at the moment its blocked off due to construction beside the park

Positive experience: Great park. Parents need to keep their kids on the playground if they are too young to understand skatepark etiquette. I see too many parents dropping their kids off like it's a daycare. If they cant use the obsticals as intended, they shouldn't be there. Simple as that.

Fantastic experience: A new park as of 2018. Lots of apparatus for kids of all ages. Some of the equipment might require littles of 3 or so to stretch a little though. Definitely worth the trip if you're looking for something new to burn some energy.

Positive experience: One of my favourite skate spots Calgary has put in.its super smooth and you can get super clean lines. It’s got a 4 foot quarter pipe, a 3 foot quarter pipe with a deathbox to gap, a weird hip thing that’s way too big for the park, a roller/ gator gap, a 3 set, some sick ledges of various sizes and a mannie pad. Pretty good and diverse for the size. But it is a SKATEPARK. Stop bringing your dam kids to play on the obstacles. Its dangerous and if a loose skateboard hits your kid, it’s not our fault. Go to the playground 300 feet away lol. It could definitely use a flatbar. It’s really only missing that. And the lights are poorly placed, they are either blinding or doing nothing. At least it actually has lights unlike most of the other parks in calgary. 3 stars for the fact that every time I go there I almost kill a child by accident or when I go at night I’m either blinded by poorly placed lights.
