Fantastic experience: Love that this gym has mostly plate loaded strength equipment, the music is always bumping I don't need headphones. Such a bonus they have a hot tub for recovery or a basketball court If i want to do something super FUN for cardio after my workout.

Fantastic experience: All of the employees are really nice and very cooperative. They’re really comfortable to talk to and the gym is layout is really easy to figure out at asw well. I also really like the basketball court. Most gyms in Abbotsford don’t have basketball courts but bolt does!

Negative experience: Finding a good gym and working out is hard but bolt fitness makes it even harder. basketball courts are always booked with some karate lessons or whatever, its slippery, nets are always ripping, locker rooms constantly smell bad, pool temps are inconsistent, and they got machines that are out of order. working out in my bedroom is better than coming to this sorry excuse for a gym.

Negative experience: ☆☆☆Avoid this gym unless you want to pay triple the price as other gyms.Bad experience, bolt gym said they "terminated" my account ,but truth was, i complained so many times how bad this facility is run ,maintenance,hygiene etc, and nothing was done ever, come look at it before you get stuck in a contract you can't get out of. I left on my own when they finally, agreed to refund my money. Don't get fooled by the fake reviews saying this is a great gym,been here since the 90s,when it was called appollo gym ,when owners and management was great. Negative experience: Went today for a free trial and I couldn’t believe how filthy it was in there. I’m not an overly clean freak by any means my house isint spotless but I couldn’t believe the filth and dirt and everywhere. The pool railings look like they weren’t wiped since 1955 and the scum on the tile and floor everywhere and the bathrooms was concerning. I wiped a machine and it was BLACK on the wipe. Won’t be returning. No one offered to give me a tour and I thought that was weird as a potential customer. With a lot of updates and cleaning this gym could be successful but what I’ve heard from other people is the new owners ran it to the ground.

Positive experience: Great gym with a good variety of equipment, lots of which are plate-loaded! Has a steam room which is a nice option. My only points of feedback are barbells (like at the benches) are old and some cables at cable towers are fraying.

Negative experience: Bolt fitness does not honour their contracts for yearly pre-paid members. In the contract, it clearly states that any member that pre-pays for a year will have their contract automatically renew to a 1-year bi-weekly payment cycle ($20/bi-weekly). Based on their recent price increase, this is now $29/bi-weekly. I don’t have any issue with that increase. What I have a problem with though is they violated that contract and put all members who are having their 1-year prepaid contracts come due to the month-month of $36/bi-weekly. This is not what they have clearly stated in the contract. Shady management to say the least.

Fantastic experience: this was my first visit to bolt and a very nice employee palamveer helped me out alot my experience with anytime was very bad before and i’m glad bolt was able to change my opinion ongoing to the gym going to bolt feels like being in a community i belong in

Negative experience: This gym is congested they have too many machines in a small area and the prices they offer are a bit overpriced i think they can improve the pricing but its a good place i would love to join tomorrow if they offer me a better pricing because for the same price i could go to anytime fitness. I live just 1 minute walk from this gym but still dive everyday to club 16 just the pricing is red flag. If they offer better price i am sure they will se an increase in the memberships I love the pool they have Will wait if they could offer me a better price i will surely change my review and get the membership

Negative experience: I've been going to Apollo/Bolt Fitness for 15 + years. It's not the same gym these days. There has been lukewarm water at best (mostly cold) in the showers for a month. I tell a staff member every day and am told they will tell someone about it. Nothing gets done. Today the shower was still cold. There have been permanent locks on a number of lockers in the men's change room that people have left there for over a year. I told them about it six months ago and they cut a few off but left a bunch on. They have been on so long they are now rusty. Nobody seems to care. The door entry system with the bar code works about 50% of the time. Today it didn't work at all. They have struggled with this system for a couple years but it never gets upgraded. Very little gets fixed or upgraded yet they raised our fees a few months ago. In general, the impression is that nobody seems to care or takes pride in this business. A number of the clients I've known for years have moved on as they are tired of the lack of interest. I hope things can get turned around. EDIT - Two weeks later, we've had to give up on Bolt and cancelled our memberships. Yesterday I timed the shower and waited an actual 15 minutes and the water was still too cold to shower. I had to go home to shower, making me late for an important meeting. I sincerely hope you can turn things around and improve this business.

Fantastic experience: I have tried many gyms and this is by far the best one. They have great employees and they work extremely hard to make it the best gym possible. The equipment is always in good condition and well taken care of. The people are also very friendly and helpful. I recommend this gym for everyone.

Negative experience: Was a good neighborhood gym for the price. Since they have doubled the price under the excuse of now it being 24hrs, I am questioning my membership. Weight room is decent and some upgrades were made during the pandemic. However, the change rooms, steam room, and pool/hot tub are disguising and lack maintenance. - Showers are grimy and gross - Half the jets in the hot tub don’t work - The steam room has some sort of gross brown leak from the grouts - Rusted lockers The overall building is a reflection of the maintenance of this gym (same owners). Washrooms in the main floor of the building have been out of order for nearly a year and there is a portable bathroom on the exterior of the building now. The entire parking lot needs to be redone and is full of pot holes. It’s a shame because the foot print of the gym is great and they do have some good machines and weight room area, if only they took pride in the facility and maintained it.

Look at all those 5 star reviews with super generic information all within a couple days of each other when every other legitimate review is negative, report the 5 star reviews as fake accounts. *response to owners response* "we assure you that all feedback we receive is genuine" I own 7 stores and can assure you 100% that is it literally impossible to receive that many google reviews in such a short amount of time, let alone all of them magically being first reviews and all 5 stars.. Just moved to the area, was excited to be walking distance to a gym. I checked the price for a year it was $400 one time payment, not bad then go on vacation for 3 weeks and now they want $650? My brothers are now finding out after years of being a member and paying the same price the entire time they are being asked to pay nearly double? What kind of business does that?

Negative experience: Gym equipment is satisfactory. They have a decent amount of machines to use. On another note this is WORST smelling change room of all time. I have been on this beautiful Earth for 35 years. This is easily the top 3 worst smells i have ever smelt in my entire life. Abnormally smelly. Now that they have increased the fees for everyone they should be able to clean the bathrooms more regularly. That is not the case! By the looks of it and the maintenance of the change room it seems like it is cleaned every few months. There is no way the staff haven’t walked into the mens change room and smelt that disgusting smell. Do they just think to themselves that oh this smells normal! Let’s not call our cleaners because the change-rooms smell great! WRONG. They smell absolutely horrendous. With the amount of complaints on these google reviews about the change rooms you would think they could clean them more often or up to maintenance. If you want to increase the fees show us the updates you are doing with it as well. Instead of advertising this 24/7 nonsense. Realistically rarely anyone is going to come from midnight to 5am. It was just a reason to increase fees for all the clients and give a “reason” to why they increased the fees. Put the money towards upkeep. All you do it fix the machines when they are down occasionally. When you are running a fitness centre focus on other aspects of the the gym as well. Pool, change-rooms, and basketball courts. Also does this place not carry a basketball pump or decent basketballs? They cheap out over all leisure equipment. Get a pump and new basketballs for people to use please. Why have a basketball court if you are not going to have the proper equipment. These are basic necessities. Also how come the bathroom on the main floor has been going thru remediation for like 6 months. What kind of insurance claim are you dealing with or contractors that haven’t fixed this in months. Also this bathroom reeked so bad! These issues aren’t the employees fault but these type of things should be raised to upper management or at least the owners. I feel like Employees may be afraid to raise these issues to the owners. This is just feedback i am giving and hopefully you take it as constructive criticism. You would think that after multiple complaints and google reviews about the lack of maintenance in the change rooms they would upkeep it . But NOPE they have an allergy to upkeep! The only thing that they up-kept was the membership fees Maintain and work on the gym facilities / leisure areas if you would like for people to stick around. UPDATE: The mens bathroom bathroom by the entry was under restoration for almost a year i believe. They had a men's portable outside during this time. I saw the "remediated" bathroom recently and i cannot explain how disappointed i am in Bolt Fitness. Absolutely embarrassing. This was their opportunity to do some renovations and make a ACTUAL difference but they decided not too. Even if the restoration company did nothing and made it to the original condition the owners could have done extra renovations on their part. The owners of the gym never though hey let's change this bathroom since so many people use it? It SMELLS so bad. Like i mentioned above it seems like this ownership does not do any upkeep or any maintenance on anything besides the actual weight machines. All the hockey parents use it ,and anyone coming in our out of the building use it. It's really sad to see, especially since they pretty much doubled every single person's fees that uses the gym. None of that money is used towards these areas for any other renovations. Very disappointing.

Negative experience: Been a member at this gym for over 5 years was paying around $30 a month and now all of a sudden they're going to increase the price to $70 plus tax a month. That price is not justified by the equipment they have theres a major lack of equipment already. They have more than doubled the price per month is a major joke. There's better gyms in Abbotsford for less price. I suggest everyone look into going somewhere. Greasy owners are being very greedy.

Negative experience: Go there if you want to be deceived. I chose to pay more money than signing contract with them so that i could cancel my membership without paying cancellation fee. Now that when I wanted to cancel membership, I was made to pay cancellation fee along with one month’s regular fee. They don’t keep their word. Better to document everything they promise you.

Negative experience: Worst gym I've ever been to! It's a shame, it was amazing when it was Apollo. Management is non existent, the pool shuts down 40min before closing with no notice. They'll just kick you out, even if you've booked the last hour. Horrible place to train.

Negative experience: Should be a zero. Despite the only positive of moderately good equipment in this facility, there are FAR too many negatives to ever consider getting a membership here. So done with this place. Avoid at all costs: 1) Disgusting bathrooms. NEVER cleaned properly. Same bodily waste on and around the toilets for years (literally dripping down the toilets). Splatters on walls. Hair everywhere. Dirty sinks. Just pay for proper cleaners instead of cheaping out. 2) Gym areas are RARELY cleaned (except for the occasional vacuum). Same splatters, sweat and handprints on mirrors for months. Chunks of hair. Dust and grime in and around ALL machines. Shelves are dirty. Same garbage remains months later. Zero care. Pool/sauna is the same. Sickening! 3) HORRIBLE management. Actually non-existent. You can come to this gym and behave however you like! Rules are posted, but NO ONE enforces them. There is no present authority for gym behaviour. No one deals with anything. Gym members can treat the gym or others however they want. The most mismanaged gym I've ever attended. Idiots are slamming cables, weights and dropping, breaking equipment regularly, leaving their weights everywhere. Nothing is put back. No one wipes machines or equipment after use. GET A PROPER MANAGER that actually does something and deals with the garbage. The current and previous managers are useless. Requests and complaints go unheard. ZERO accountability to their members. Girls at the front do nothing. Can barely greet people. No leadership, no direction at this gym. What a waste of a potentially great gym facility. Tailored to teens and young adults with zero care. 4) Also, only targeting business from one demographic. Punjabi music is blaring in the evenings, every single day. If not that, "music" with vulgar, disgusting language. Keep your pre-teens away. Forget listening to your own music because you can't hear above the blaring noise. Not sure what the daytime is like, but steer clear of the evenings. Full of insecure, disrespectful and aggressive morons.

Negative experience: Any athlete should avoid taking membership here. 75% of this gym users don't respect the set rules and no one is doing effort to enforce them. Any athlete would agree on this; if you're to lazy to put your weights away, you don't respect the Gym and if you don't respect the gym it means you don't respect it's users. This gym has a good potential but unfortunately it is not managed to rank up in this industries.

Negative experience: Could not attend during pandemic due to health issues. Canceled membership Dec 2021, continued to get charged all the way up until May 2022 despite ending membership. Bolt Fitness refused to return the money the took from me after I'd already canceled my membership. That's kinda ghetto. Who even does that. Like they argued with me about when I'd canceled in the same email I'd canceled my account with, even though it literally shows the date I'd canceled. Don't use this gym unless you're trying to waste money indefinitely.
