Positive experience: The gym is affordable, and I love the equipment, but the hygiene issue is a serious drawback. On some days, the smell in the gym is unbearable because some members don’t use deodorant. It would be helpful if management could put up signs reminding everyone to maintain proper hygiene for the comfort of all.

Negative experience: I have been working out here nearly every day for a while now and my entire experience is ruined by having to go into the awful locker room. I don't know what to do about this, I just need a place to put my coat and bag but I can't share space with strangers showering and standing around naked in the locker room anymore.

Positive experience: A good place to workout without much disturbance. Affordable and accessible!

Positive experience: Gym is clean and well maintained. Showers are a punishment though, they are too hot even for winters. And they don’t regulate the temperature. Its like saying ‘Dont use the showers without saying dont use the showers.

Positive experience: For the price, you can't go wrong! I've been going here for years and the staff all know my name and are very friendly. The equipment is good and if it is broken it is repaired in a timely manner. Other gym goers are friendly and there's a wide range of fitness levels so it doesn't feel intimidating to go! I typically go at 5 am before work on weekdays and the machines I like are available. During the weekends (9-11am), sometimes I wait for machines but it's never too long. Overall, I enjoy coming here a lot!

Fantastic experience: I worked out here while staying in Thunder Bay. It is a good gym, it has lots of room to workout. I was there at 11 am and it wasn't very busy. Lots of universal machines, ample free weights and the Hexagon type of dumbbells(my favorite). Kettle bells and Squat Racks are available in the Black card area (I love/hate Kettlebells) but they are an awesome addition and happy to see them. Lots of Dreadmills for Cardio. Don't forget the Massage chairs/Beds they are great after a hard workout or a recovery day. The staff member Lisa was so kind and helpful. She made me feel welcome and comfortable. She is a great employee they are lucky to have her. The washrooms/showers were clean. I had nothing but good interactions. I hope to be back, when I'm in the Area. It's a great Gym 5/5

Positive experience: Gym is affordable and that’s why it’s very crowded. Gym is nice but people over there are not, no one cleans the equipments after using them, I had just stick to one machine because the other ones were covered in sweat. I no longer go there but it’s good for beginners.

Negative experience: Fit4less was a great affordable gym option and I recommended them often. It's a shame they decided to "re-vamp" everything as soon as Planet Fitness opened and they had actual competition for the cheapest gym in town. They've fenced off over 1/3 of the free weight, bench press and cable areas for black card holders exclusively and made the usable area of the gym that isn't cardio and machines even smaller for regular members. Now it feels cramped past 10pm, and don't be surprised if you have to wait for a bench in front of the free weights unless you go at even more ridiculous hours. If you want a nicer gym with wayyy more space and variety that allows access to all equipment with a regular membership, don't consider the moneygrab that has become Fit4less. I'll be cancelling my 2 year membership and switching to Planet Fitness asap. But if you enjoy music obnoxiously cranked to the max in the changerooms, a vending machine that regularly spits out the wrong drinks, and access to a single smith machine, they're the gym for you I guess.

Negative experience: Crazy 30 mins wait to get into the mens locker room from 1420 today. The notice shows there says mens washroom Cleaning time is from 2115. Staff have no responsibility when it comes to wasting customers time

Negative experience: Biggest issue is washroom cleaning time never matches their statements. They say “between 8-9” but in reality 6:45 it’s closed. Whenever they feel like - they close it, no notice, no consideration for people’s time, just whatever they feel like. Freaking joke of a place. Planet fitness is opening around the corner - to there.

Positive experience: No working showers

Fantastic experience: Clean and equipment in good shape

Positive experience: A super clean facility. The equipment is plenty and the staff are non-intrusive. It also helps that most of the people there keep to themselves or help out if necessary, which is what I look for in a gym ideally. Some of the lockers are not working properly as well as some of the towel dispensers are not filled whenever I'm in. Maybe that's just situational but apart from that, a solid place for free weights and cardio equipment.

Negative experience: Generally all round decent gym, but you will get stuck paying hundreds of dollars if you decided you want to change gyms... Fix your cancellation.

Positive experience: The gym needs WiFi for its members and to allow members to shower when it's unstaffed. Otherwise, the place is clean and the equipment is in good working order.

Negative experience: Bought a day pass as I was here for the weekend. It was 20+$ and the washrooms for dirty. Didn’t understand what is the use of paying so much to access only one time and cannot even use the washrooms. Showers also don’t work. Can’t believe this location.

Fantastic experience: So far so good 11.99 every 2 weeks is worth everything it includes I am very satisfied

Fantastic experience: My husband and a co worker were in Thunder Bay for a course. He went to buy a pass for a few days while staying in the city and the Manger Lisa gave them both a free pass for the days they were there. He said the staff were awesome to deal with, the gym was kept clean, and they had nice equipment. He totally recommends this gym.

Fantastic experience: The staff here are next level. Both of them make this gym a next level experience. I recently moved to the city so they made me feel super comfortable and welcome when I first started out here. They take extra time to help anyone who needs assistance and always go above and beyond. The gym is always spotless and machines are always working, I have yet to come across a broken machine! Words can’t express how wonderful of an experience I’ve had here. I was originally debating switching to a different gym (as I’m a bodybuilder) but this gym has it all and then some. Thank you guys for everything and making me feel so welcomed here in my new home!

Fantastic experience: I've had a membership for months. I've used it rarely, but it's so cheap who cares. It's always clean and the staff is fun and nice . I've never been to packed anytime I've gone even though Google says it is. Friends and family can use your membership when you're not with a black package. The hydro bed is frickin mint, and the tanning and massage chair is awesome. 20$ a month and 50$ annual fee a year pffff it's no Brainer .

Positive experience: Its a very clean establishment and they should be highly commended on this especially considering how busy it is. The staff is very friendly and highly knowledgable and ready to assist. What I didn't like is the tiny change rooms with NO privacy for body-conscious people. The men's change room is barley big enough for an average sized person. A large person like me finds it hard to maneuver around all the people and even through the opening into the men's bathroom. Another small suggestion would be to put up signs asking people not to wear body chemicals with heavy fragrances.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, clean. And the staff truly do work hard. One thing though. Can the TV’s not have news on? It’s so negative. Sometimes I find it hard to train while there is news on straight in front going on about killings and disease. Should really have sports and positive things on for a gym I think.

Negative experience: I have been working out at this gym for last 2 years consistently. The gym , equipments, timings and price for service is amazing. I usually don’t write any reviews but I think it was important today to leave a note. They do not have proper deadlift space/floor and everyone who deadlifts, end up making a bit of noise here and there while dropping the weights. The same incident happened today after the last set while the the barbell slipped and dropped on the floor. The attendant came running and told us that it cannot keep happening. (Also you should not lift if you can’t bear the weight/your form should be correct so you don’t drop the weight). We have been targeted 3-4 times earlier for not wearing outdoor shoes/ wearing masks (while we were following all rules and regulations, being a responsible and respectful individual at the gym). I would like to address this to a higher authority of this gym chain as they should consider bringing proper flooring and also train the staff to equally treat every single club member ( no matter of their age/weight/physical status).

Negative experience: Giant sign outside the building that states “open 24/7”, then as I went and wasted my gas on a Saturday, it was closed for no reason, no holiday or anything. Clearly this location cannot keep its word about its open times. Not very happy as how expensive gas is nowadays.

I'm usually there in the evening to early night The lights are a bit bright to me but I just wear my sunglasses, I have a light sensitivity.

Negative experience: You can enroll Online but can't cancel online!! After calling it takes 30 days to cancel. Why so? They are cheap no doubt but greed to earn money from customers. In pandemic gym was closed for several months but my yearly renew was on the same date. Not justified.

Negative experience: They where having problems with their interact....we tried both our cards didn't work...then pretty much saying it was our fault not their machine whe our cards worked at the Safeway gas bar 5 min after we left there.... girl at the window very obvious and rude...wouldn't want her to work at my restaurant terrible window service

Positive experience: Great place to workout. Very clean, friendly staff, decent locker rooms. Tons of equipment to utilize. Could use another squat rack but it is a popular exercise. Lots of parking available. Through our current state in Ontario the website is user friendly and quick when booking workouts. The price for this membership is affordable for nearly all. Have never felt uncomfortable there have never witnessed anything that might make anyone uncomfortable. People who go there seem to be very respectful. Have a virtual road bike section which goes through multiple different levels and scenes, cardio machines galore and lots of free weights (lots of double in common weights to not slow you down). Lots of cleaning supplies around the room.to clean equipment and circuit workouts available. Reason it is not a 5 star is for the bathrooms and showers. But not complaining.

Fantastic experience: I have been in many clubs and witnessed the interactions between managers, clients and staff. The manager at this club excels on every level. She is great with clients and firm but gentle with those who do not follow the rules. Keeping a fitness club clean is a huge job and when people come in with street shoes, they need to be told !

Negative experience: Old lady at front desk is extremely rude, make sure you don’t put your shoes on in the car because she will be sure to yell at you. For a place that’s supposed to be accepting, she is very rude and condescending.

Negative experience: My 16 year son has a membership before joining him & my husband directly asked the staff if there are any membership restrictions, as he was giving up a membership at another gym to which he had full access, they were told no restrictions except tanning, massage chairs, etc since he was not getting a black membership. After enjoying full access for the past 4 months today his card wouldn't allow him to enter he buzzed at which time staff informed him since he's 16 he can only attend during staffed hours and access is denied 30 minutes before staffed hours end. After double checking our contract because this is not what he was told when joining it is part of the small print, we proceeded to check what hours staff is on site this information is not posted anywhere so we called no message to let people know when staff is on site. My son works most evenings and often was going after work he would never had switched memberships if staff had told him honestly about the restrictions, he joined to save some money as he pays his own membership and now has no way of even finding out when he can attend. There are other gyms in town with restrictions under 18 however when asked prior to joining they were all honest enough to say yes. UPDATE Well once again Fit4less is giving mixed information, I dealt with our local location through email as they would not share the direct contact of their regional or head office, I have requested the contact information more than once. Through email our local location informed me Fit4less would be issuing my son a refund cheque, as he had paid the full year in advance, and the cheque could take up to 10 business days, perfect great resolution. Unfortunately no cheque arrived so I emailed to enquire and was informed Fit4less decided to enforce 30 day cancellation policy, very disappointing since once again it is different than the original information given but no problem. Well it's over 30 days no cheque I did email and have not received a response. It is horrible way to do business

Negative experience: Price is good but no point in paying for the Black Card if you don't get the benefits. Facility isn't staffed 24hrs so Massage chairs, tanning and showers are turned off. Why am I paying extra for these benefits if I can't access them? The TVs need to have the ability to change. NFL playoffs, hockey games are on tv right now yet no tv at the gym is playing it. It's home makeover, people talking, news and curling.

Positive experience: When I first started going I thought it was quite clean and had nice new equipment. Over the last week or so I've seen the cleanliness really take a hit- there are clumps of dust and hair all over the place in there, including the machines, floors, and abs/stretching mats. It's never too busy and has lots of machines and equipment to choose from, although it looks like they are slow to repair some out of order ones. Overall, a good gym and I'm happy I chose it.

Negative experience: Dont believe the signs, they say "Open 24hrs" when really, they're only open when they're staffed which is 7am-10pm mon-fri and for 11am-4pm weekends. If it wasn't as cheap as it is, they wouldn't have a single member.

Positive experience: Affordable membership, can share the black package with friend and fam and it's still cheaper then other gyms. Has tanning beds and hydro massage. New equipment & circuit station. Lacks in person classes- but open 24/7.

Negative experience: Fit4Less was supposed to be full 24 hour in January 2016. It's May now and they still haven't followed through. There needs to be another squat rack, but other than that, the gym is phenomenal for the price. August edit: Open 24 hours only twice a week. These people mismanaged their funds. There should be 1/3 less cardio machines. If they add a squat rack and two benches and they'd be good to go.
