Negative experience: I had a really unpleasant experience at GoodLife Fitness recently. I asked for a water bottle, because i forgot mine and while one staff member was about to give it to me, another stepped in and said something along the lines of, “They want everything for free,” clearly referring to my race (brown). It was shocking and hurtful to hear such a stereotype being thrown around so casually. To make it worse, when I left, they said “Good night” in a sarcastic and unprofessional tone, which just added to how uncomfortable the whole interaction felt. As a paying member, I expect to be treated with respect, just like anyone else. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and definitely not what I’d expect from a brand like GoodLife. I hope management takes this seriously and ensures their staff are trained to treat all members equally

Negative experience: Be careful when getting a membership here … I stopped going for personal reasons 4 months ago, never got a call to follow up … i called to cancel my membership on May 11 but was told my by monthly charge on May 22 will go anyways and that the final day for me will be June 4, you can keep my money, just do a better to really support your customers

Fantastic experience: I've been to most of the Goodlife's in Calgary and a couple in Edmonton, this one was by far my favorite. It wasn't too busy, lots of equipment (they even my fav thing that I haven't yet seen at any other locations- see photo ) and a great layout!

Fantastic experience: I am in Sherwood Park on a trip from Yellowknife. I wanted to workout and chose GoodLife. A superlative experience. From the moment I walked in and spoke to Malaki, I was treated with respect, courtesy, and professional. He made my registration simple, supportive, and instructive. Upon completing the registration, he provided a briefing on the facility and conducted an on site your. It was educational and informative. The facilities are well organized, with a variety of equipment, and the change rooms are spacious and well stocked with some basic necessities (i.e. shower gel. Moisturizer, etc.). A wonderful experience. I look forward to continuing to enjoy the facility during my trip. Needless to say. I will be signing up for future temporary memberships when I'm in the area.

Fantastic experience: Ladies’ gym is really awesome. Hidden in the back, with direct access between the female gym and the locker room, provides privacy for the shy ones. It’s homie, comfy and they have a very welcoming staff.

Positive experience: The facility was clean and the sauna and steam rooms I'm good condition too. The only but of frustration was that my key fob did not work at the mall entry scanner and no one was at the desk or around to help. I had to wait for a couple of minute before someone passed by. When caned at front desk it worked so it may be worth your while to check it change the scanner at the mall entry. Not so much fun wishing for someone to rescue me. Otherwise I nice workout and staff were nice.

Positive experience: This is a great location. Fantastic natural light, good layout and equipment options. Change room is always clean. Steam room is the best in the Edmonton area I find. It’ll cook you if you let it. Staff aren’t as active on the floor as some clubs but still to better than other clubs around.

Fantastic experience: The staff here are so kind and really care about their clients. Having Bennett as my personal trainer has helped me stay motivated and lose 10lbs in 4 weeks. Fantastic experience: I have been a GoodLife member since it opened. I love the group classes. Zumba is so much fun but a great cardio class. I also attend Body Pump 3 times a week and Les Mills Core and Soul Body Barre when I can. The instructors are all awesome. They are very professional,caring and knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience: This gym feels like home. I've been attending for several years and many of the front desk people know me by name. The staff are enthusiastic and positive. The part I would give a rating of 10 stars for is the group fitness classes. I was always a lone-exerciser but since I stepped a foot into one of Jodi's Zumba classes I was immediately hooked. I never knew that group fitness could be so fun, so encouraging, and be such a great workout. The instructors are knowledgable, skilled at correcting form, and very welcoming and fun. (Special thanks to Jodi, Leslie, Michelle, Kimberly- you are all great! I know I'm missing many others too.) I have yet to step into an RPM class (working up courage haha) so I can't review that but I've heard good things. The online app is very easy and simple to use to schedule classes, and the group fitness room can be used between classes for personal virtual fitness with a large screen and great sound system. If you are looking for your home gym, I would look no further than Goodlife Sherwood Park.

Fantastic experience: I love this gym and Goodlife Fitness. Sherwood Park is one of my absolutely favourite gyms ever. Amazing Les Mills classes taught by very talented, experienced and motivating fitness instructors. The zumba classes are so fun and everyone is so welcoming! Amazing Barr and yoga too! I am always greeted with a smile! I highly recommend it!

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Goodlife Sherwood Park for over 4 years. People that works there are super friendly and very helpful. I especifically go for zumba with Jodi Jubinville she is an amazing fitness and zumba instructor. I cannot say enough of great things about her classes but I wish there was more. Fantastic experience: Rarely do I post reviews but today I must! I walked in today to gym at around 6 am and was helped by Malakai. I needed a keytag replacement and he helped me with such a positive attitude. I did my workout and I loved the atmosphere and the workout equipment in general was able to push myself. It was then after the workout that made me want to keep coming back. Malakai made the time to chat with me and actually get to know me and why I want to workout this to me is going above and beyond and creating such a relaxed environment for clients to keep coming back. We got talking and he motivated me to keep coming back and I will! Malakai you are wonderful and I was very impressed with you today. Keep it up!!

Positive experience: Staff is always super friendly but the business seems to be lacking the money to maintain their equipment properly. My favorite machines are the treadmills that elevate super high but are constantly "under maintenance" so I dont get to use them that often. Whenever I try and use their regular treadmills they constantly shut down every 6 minutes or so I've tried quite a few of them both in the 'womens only' section and the main area. It makes it super frusterating to try and track your workouts.

Negative experience: Went here a couple months back and Staff was friendly enough, but the steam room was dirty and the door wouldn't close properly rendering it essentially ineffective. I have my goodlife membership so that i can have certain baseline expectations met when travelling and I was disappointed that this gym was not meeting that baseline.
Positive experience: I've been going to this gym since it opened, it's like a second home! Overall, it's a great gym, has all the equipment needed. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. The only reason I gave it four stars is they could be a little more on top of cleaning and maintenance. Though it has been better recently than pre-covid which is a good thing.

Fantastic experience: I just want to put a word in for Jason and Kai. They were extremely helpful when I was adding a family member to my account and they were making sure that I was getting the best price possible. Positive experience: Smaller size gym than other places in greater Edmonton area. But they have everything you need to get a great work out. Both the sauna and steam room are operational. The steam room is large and works great compared to Brewery Distric to where the steam room hasn't worked for over 3 years. Upkeep is very clean, lockers are big and very clean. Only thing is that in mens shower some of the individual showers there is no cold water. So if you are into cold showers, you will not be able to have cold shower. Found this very strange. Over good place to workout

Fantastic experience: Ive been to this gym a few times and it’s a great quality gym and the front desk is always cracking jokes- it makes it feel more friendly for a gym. I also had the opportunity to workout with one of the Personal Trainers Marie-Soleil. She’s sooo amazing and friendly- and honestly makes the workout fun and not boring! Highly suggest getting her for a consult!

Positive experience: Outstanding staff, and a fantastic place to workout. Been here almost everyday for a year and a half and have recently switched gyms. As much as I would love to return to Goodlife, The competitors in the area offer 24 hour service at a quarter of the monthly price. With being a student, I cannot make workouts anymore without missing classes. I hope these changes can be made and I would be happy to return!

Positive experience: nice staff looks like a clean environment and equipment looks like it is well taken care of. wish they kept to the advertising of 24 hr. fitness gym like what the sign says out side. price are high compared to competitors but you are not locked in and can leave anytime you wish. Wish they had something for the out of town worker who only intown for a week or less but general use for average joe good option wish they could negotiate options for the 1 percent who may or may be intown for a day or 2

Negative experience: I forgot my water bottle at home and asked if I could purchase a bottle of water from the front desk (water fountain closed due to covid) . The clerk told me they were for members that refer new members only. So I was about to head into an hour long class with no water. No vending machines around. Pretty unprofessional to deny the purchase of water to your patrons at a gym..

Fantastic experience: I stopped in for a day pass while visiting Edmonton. The gym was extremely clean, staff was cleaning every machine after each use. masks were worn properly by all staff and members.

Negative experience: I applied for the one year membership, and I loved it in the beginning until, after the one year mark you would assume that your membership would cancel automatically. However, they kept charging me without my knowledge for the next 10 months. I was given a number and called several times, but nobody bothered to answer, and was robbed of $600.

Fantastic experience: After re-opening, I needed to get a routine back and lose my Covid weight gain . The morning staff are friendly, professional and helpful. Since joining and consistently working out, I have lost 30 pounds!!! I feel better and I’m gaining muscle tone and my confidence has improved. Thank you staff and online booking to keep me motivated and showing up. I love the Sherwood Park location.

Fantastic experience: I typically hit the SouthPark GoodLife, but this one in Sherwood park is close to my office so I'll hit it during lunch sometimes. The people here are really friendly and the gym has everything you need!

Fantastic experience: This and millwoods town center are my recommended locations for semi serious lifters. A lot of squat racks and Sherwood location has a gym made deadlift station. Great staff, with the majority working out in the gym so upkeep of equipment is moderate to high.

Positive experience: This space used to be a library. It is not well set up. It is long and oddly laid out. Group classroom is a long way from any other equipment. Equipment is similar to other locations. If you live in Sherwood Park then it will meet your needs however not a location to go out of your way to.
Positive experience: 4 Squat racks, numerous benches (at least 4+), all sorts of cable machines and free weights, been going to this location for almost a year now and i've only had to wait once or twice to use a piece of equipment and i've only seen a couple out of service in this time for repairs. Decent showers, Steam room and Sauna and not insanely busy at lunch, definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: When I first arrived at Goodlife I was a mess I didn't know what I wanted but I knew I had to get back to the gym. I met with some of the staff and Traylee helped me make the decision to join. It was by far the best decision I have made because that day I also signed up for personal training with Rachel Niemand I went from unfit and unhappy to having way more self esteem and confidence in myself and my ability to overcome obstacles. Goodlife and Rachel have changed my life and I look forward to every workout that will bring me closer to my goals in OCR racing as well as power lifting. Negative experience: Calls themselves a 24 hour gym, came here 9 pm on a Sunday to find out its actually not, closed at 8 pm on weekends. What a joke!!! There’s no reason for it to be closed. Sad
Hi there Loco, we post our hours in the club, on our website and on Google. We hope this didn't cause too much inconvenience!
Negative experience: I pay a full one year membership for Goodlife Fitness Sherwood Park Exclusive back in March 2018, during several visits to the gym I was told by the associate-receptionist that I have to submit my bank information, at the same time, I replied that I did not understand why I was required to submit this information when the main reason to pay in full was precisely to avoid any payment coming out of my bank account. The response from the associate-receptionist was that either they will take a look at the situation and have a solution for me, or either it was a requirement from the gym to have in their files. On Saturday March 9th, 2019 the associate-receptionist say loud and in front of other several other costumers, that the gym will do collections on my name as they did not have my bank information and I was short in 4 dollars in my one year full payment, I offered to pay the 4 dollars and she replied that the gym will still do collections, then I asked her to cancel my membership to what she replied that they will have the manager to talk to me after my workout. During my conversation with the Goodlife Fitness sherwood park location manager I explained what happened and I show her the payment receipts done in March 2018 for the cost of the fees plus the full year membership. She recognized that it was a mistake at the moment of the enrollment and my membership and it was showing a biweekly payment instead of a full year membership payment. I still canceled my membership. During a whole year I was told the situation will be amended and this never happened, during a whole year I had to keep and carried with me the receipts to prove that I have not done anything wrong, during one year I patiently wait for someone to take action and nothing happened, now I feel very disappointed, upset and disrespected. I cancelled today my membership with the promise that no collections will be done on my name, I personally feel responsible to communicate to other people what happened to me at the Goodlife Fitness Sherwood Park location so far the worst experience from a recognized gym.

Positive experience: Not great value for the dollar but no other options in Sherwood Park other than Millenium now that WHC is gone. Does the job as far as a gym but lacks the appeal of some of the newer GL facilities around Edmonton. Personally dislike the location and would prefer a stand-alone facility like Ft Sask. As one of the oldest Edmonton area locations it sorely requires a major Reno. Spin bikes are junk with bent cranks and pedals, squeaks and wobbles and the room is not large enough to accommodate weekend classes. Staff is pleasant and place is clean. Management get your capital budget in place and spend some money jeesh.

Negative experience: Pros: good location and hours. Spin classes on tuesdays and thursdays are great. Other than that it's your basic gym with old, irregularly maintained equipment. Perfectly fine if you use the same equipment all the time but if you want variety this is not your place. Forget about helpful staff as they're never around or chatting about their weekends and tinder dates. Doesn't matter though, as there's so much turnover there's a fresh batch every 6 weeks. So why do I come here? Because it's close to my house and it's cheap.

Negative experience: Disappointed in the Personal Training Program. I paid for 3 sessions to have my trainer go through the equipment with me and set up a work out session that I can then do on my own.....which was agreed on. The last session, we sat down and she tried to sell me more training sessions. But when I told her that I didn't want more sessions with her, she told me it would be much harder and would take me much longer to reach my goals without a trainer. So of course she never did set up a training schedule for me or share any nutritional info with me...but I thought that is what the 3 sessions were originally for? and don't get me wrong, I get it, this is how she gets paid, but having her say I wont reach my goals? I figure I can google a work out schedule and set myself up without any help from her and keep the additional $500 per month she wanted me to spend, but her attitude was terrible. I was up front from the beginning, informing her these 3 sessions was all I wanted. I didn't get much out of my 3 sessions that I paid for, I am disappointed about that. I will however continue going to this gym as it is clean and close to home....and I will reach my goals!

Positive experience: Love how it is a private gym, equipment are up to date & the place is very clean! I love having the ladies private gym when the open area is packed

Positive experience: I love that this location as it's next to my work. The equipment is alright, although the placement of some machines has me changing up my routine.. I love that this location has a steam room as well as their sauna... but I don't like the hours of operation at all Why say you're open 24 hours when you're only open 24 during the weekdays and you're closed weekend nights. I work until 11pm every friday-sunday and I can never workout after work because this location is closed... friendly staff though!
