Negative experience: The gym is okay, the management and ownership are completely incompetent.. I'd stay away from this location!!
Positive experience: This gym is great……when there’s barely anyone there….I wish staff would be more aware of what’s going on. I can’t count the number of times I’ve had to change up my workouts/finish early as some people use two machines at once or one machine the whole hour + that they are there or just hanging out chatting on the machine. Especially popular, high traffic machines everyone usually uses that there’s only ONE of. Some of us only have a limited time to get our workout in and it’s very frustrating. Definitely have to go before 8AM if you want to do your workout at ease. Good for beginners or if you are in training. But if you are experienced and have a workout schedule you need to stick with, this isn’t the place.
Fantastic experience: Had a personal training session with Derrick and he is great. Highly recommend that you use him. Very knowledgeable and helpful.

Positive experience: Been going to this location for about 4 months. Have been a member of anytime for just over 2 years at this point. This location is okay, maybe a bit over priced for the quality and layout. A lot of the machines are very old- not the biggest issues as they functionally work the same but the damages are starting to wear through on some like broken pin cords for weights and duct tapped seats. Solid overall offering for most machines and gear that the average gym goer would likely need. Gym layout straight up sucks. Entry area is a huge choke point for people coming and going and is further narrowed by a product shelf and fridge for supplements. Slower days are fine, but it can be alarming to enter the gym and almost crash into someone from a blind spot. The gym itself is fairly small, deceiving to what photos might make you think. Staff seem mostly pleasant, I haven’t really interacted with them much apart from greetings at the door. The personal trainers are a bit of a mixed bag. I haven’t worked personally with them, but every time I go they’re usually rowdy if there’s a couple of them working, being loud enough to hear over my music playing, or skulking around watching like buzzards. I’m sure this is more of a safety thing, but it has made my wife uncomfortable a few times and perhaps others too if they’re not antiquated with the gym. Huge bummer is that the tanning bed has been broken since I’ve started at this location. My previous anytime location didn’t offer tanning so I’ve been curious to try it. Unsure when or if it will get fixed. Overall pretty lukewarm gym compared to some of the newer any times in the city. Price point is decent compared to a lot of other gyms but if you have the means to go to a better location, I would probably recommend that over this small, old gym.

The equipment is in top-notch condition, meticulously maintained to ensure a seamless workout experience. I must give special praise to trainer Derrick Brown. He truly lights up the gym with his energy and enthusiasm. Without him, the gym would feel like a body without a soul. He is a LIVING LEGEND. His helpful advice and expertise have made a significant impact on my fitness journey. Additionally, Pablo at the front desk is outstanding. His friendly demeanor and helpful nature make every visit enjoyable. Pablo's exceptional customer service adds to the overall positive experience at Anytime Fitness Haysboro. Negative experience: Very outdated equipment. Treadmills support 1st gen apple products. All the accessories for the cable machines have little to no grip. Same price if not more than way nicer clubs. And the carpet is a nice touch!
Hi Tom, sorry that you are unhappy with how old the treadmills are. You will be happy to know that we have 5 new treadmills on order, a new recumbent bike and lastly an upright bike. We were planning on updating these last year, however COVID set us back a bit and we had to stretch them one more year. We are just getting ready to release the info to members as soon as production date is confirmed. Next time if you are in the club, please do not hesitate to bring the handles that you feel need to be replaced to the front office and we will be happy to take a look at it for you.
Positive experience: Good gym. Staffs are gentle and good service. However, there is a big not good things. The not good thing is that many guys are using two machines at the same time. Also, any trainer and staff do not touch anything even though tell them. Just tell me that you talk with those guys politely to get the machine or you use two machines. It is their job “manage the gym”. I do not understand why members should tell them every time for using a machine. The worst is that those guys are shameless about using two and the number of those guys are getting increasing more and more. The gym is a public space and member pay the fee too. If the gym solve the problem, here will be a good choice to work out.
Fantastic experience: The staff here are wonderful and very helpful, the location is kept very clean. I love the atmosphere as well, lots of equipment, so you're never waiting around to use anything.
Positive experience: The washrooms need soap refills pretty gross when it’s not available
Fantastic experience: The USP - open 24*7. The owner has a good attitude and explains everything comprehensively. Most modern equipment is available and has shower facilities available. Towels will be provided, too.
Fantastic experience: Anytime Fitness Haysboro has been my home away from home for almost 3 years now. I could not be happier about a gym! The staff treats clients like family and they bring a positive energy to the whole place. You really can feel part of the community coming to this place. The place is clean and the equipment is great, and they always invest in newer equipment. The clientele is great here too as there is a diverse of old and young with different fitness goals and this gym can accommodate whatever you are looking for!
Fantastic experience: Best price for any gym out there and it’s open 24hrs cannot beat that for me! Staff is always great and helpful.
Positive experience: Staff very friendly but Bathrooms very dirty every time I've been here. Its like they never ever clean them! Dust and hair on back of toilets and sinks. Weights area is very crowded with equipment in a small space.

Negative experience: I've worked out here for 2 years now and these are the pros and cons if you're looking to start a membership here. Pros: - Staff is very pleasant and make you feel welcomed. - Caroline does an exceptional job cleaning and is very reliable. - Well organized and thought put into layout of the gym. - 24/7 access - Towels provided - Tanning if that interests you (not sure if it's included) Cons: - Expensive for what is offered. It's a very small facility and is overpriced. - The music is awful modern pop constantly blasted so loud, even after hours. It makes it difficult to hear your own music or even focus. - The follow up calls are a bit annoying and too frequent, I know they are intended well but I don't believe it's effective and it interrupts people's day. *UPDATE: TURN DOWN THE MUSIC! IT SUCKS AND ITS DEAFENING WITH NO ONE AROUND TO CONTROL THE VOLUME! Overall I'd recommend this gym for elderly, beginner's or people who work shift work or have inconsistent schedules. Fantastic experience: Had been a member since 2015 and had always enjoyed the workout environment at Anytime Fitness - Haysboro location. Staff are friendly and helpful. The space is clean and equipments are in good conditions. The gym can be busy at times but other than that, never have any issue. The gym is accessible 24/7 and keyflob can be used for all AF gyms which can be useful at times. Highly recommended!
Fantastic experience: Kristi was very thorough with each exercise and machine such a positive and motivational person made the workout not seem like a workout and the your girl (not sure of her name Maria I think) at the front and Heather are such nice friendly people great atmosphere at the club

Fantastic experience: The Staff is so friendly, even though there is 100s of people walking through their doors they seem to remember you as an individual, and get to know you. Anthony, one of the Trainers, is amazing and I’ve throughly enjoyed our sessions together; I’m gaining a lot of knowledge and comfortability with not only the machines and workout routines but just showing up and holding space. He makes it fun, adapts to your needs, so kind with the constructive feedback you ultimately need/want when training. I’m almost into my 3rd month and I have lost 2 inches around my tummy and gained half an inch in other wanted areas! So grateful, it’s the most consistent I’ve ever been with going to the gym and it really is because of the people.

Fantastic experience: I have made it a point to visit most of, if not all AF locations in the city. This location is hands down the best one I've come across. The staff is very involved and genuinely wants to see an improvement in their clients health. A wonderful place to work on gains.
Positive experience: The fact it’s open 24/7 only slightly makes up for not having a wide variety of equipment. Switched to GoodLife because they have a sauna
Fantastic experience: Very helpful and friendly staff. Great place to start my fitness journey again after not being able to workout for months due to life circumstances. Only issue I have is that you have to pay in order to use their lockers, which I find a bit unnecessary. I'd recommend just keeping your bag on you at all times and keeping a close eye on it.
Fantastic experience: THE BEST! I have been to numerous Anytime locations and without hesitation I say this is the best location by far. The staff are amazing. They are all so helpful, cheerful and welcoming. A huge thank you - without you all a gym would just be a gym. You have all established a culture that is unbeatable and motivating. Fantastic experience: I've been going to this gym for almost 2 years and I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. It has a great atmosphere and friendly, knowledgable trainers. Standard of cleanliness is very high.
Negative experience: Changed my review after 7-8 months. Sometimes difficult to find equipment I need for workouts. The worst thing though is the awful dance music absolutely BLASTing all the freakin' time. I can't even hear my own music. C'mon. Just turn it down a little (?) Sometimes I'm the only one in there after hours and it's insane. Like I'm at a dance club... Why? Never dealt with this at any other gym in my whole life. A deal breaker for me.

Fantastic experience: Anytime Fitness Haysboro has to be one of the best gym experiences I've had. The staff are incredibly friendly and easy to approach with questions and I always leave training sessions with Shawnee feeling exhausted, but in the absolutely best way! Because Anytime offers free 30-minute check-in's once a month, it's easy to ensure you're making the progress you want but can still keep things budget friendly, if needed. Make sure to check out Shawnee's small group training on Saturday mornings - it's the best way to kick off your weekend!

Fantastic experience: I’m so glad I joined Anytime Fitness. I have been working out for years and belonged to many gyms big and small fancy and not so fancy. Anytime has all of the best equipment you would see in an upscale expensive gym, but it doesn’t break the bank. The staff and clients are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and all to happy share helpful workout tips and best of all genuinely supportive and motivating. There are no judgments at anytime, it just a warm and friendly neighbourhood gym where all are welcome at an affordable cost. Johnathan C UPDATE: After six months at anytime haysboro , I have to say that this gym has exceeded my expectations. Having gotten to know the staff and most of the clients, there is no question that when I googled “gym near me “ and walked through the doors of haysboro, I really did win the gym lottery. There is an atmosphere of inclusivity and kindness like I have never experienced before at any of the many gyms I have joined in the last 25 years. I truly feel part of a community of people, young and older helping and supporting each other to reach their fitness goals. It is all about the staff. Their unwavering commitment to each and every member, encouraging us and bringing us together is truly remarkable. When I joined, I had just been discharged from a medical Center where I had spent 7 weeks dealing with some serious health problems. I was completely out of shape and so discouraged, I never thought I would make it up that hill. Thanks to my amazing trainer, Chael and the rest of the staff and clients I have grown to know, I am now in the best shape I have ever been in my entire life. Unfortunately, having learned how poorly the staff are paid, it definitely drifts into the exploitation zone. The STAFF are what makes the gym. It is very sad and disappointing to know that the people responsible for the success of an establishment are not recognized and or remunerated for their efforts and commitment to their workplace. Fantastic experience: I love this place! The gym itself is great, but the staff is beyond awesome. Lifting weights has never been so fun and engaging, and thank you the personal trainers my back stopped hurting and I went down 2 sizes without even realizing it. They also supported me beyond expectations when I was going through tough moments. I’m so glad I joined this gym and not any other!

Negative experience: Tried to ask a simple question about membership pricing. The salesperson (Shawnee) said I needed to come to the gym for a “tour”. Tried to just ask for pricing twice! Very condescending. How hard is it to be up front and give a straight answer.
Fantastic experience: I've been going to this gym for about 4 months now, it's really well laid out and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Really clean and well kept as well!! The one to one coaching is awesome as well!! Highly recommend Chael as a coach!! 10/10 for me!!

Fantastic experience: My name is Sayed and I Have to say this is the best anytime fitness in the Calgary and Area, I unfortunately had to quit because I moved out of the city and the one in my town is horrible.. but this location is actually amazing!! They have the best equipment you will be very happy, it is clean and to top it off the owner Rob is the friendliest, nicest guy ever! I used to drive across the city from Carrington just to come here, that’s how good it is!! Fantastic experience: The best anytime fitness location in Calgary. It's bigger than other locations I've been to, the equipment is in extremely good condition plus they have every machine you will ever need haha most other locations are missing like abductor adductor machines, steppers, proper leg curl machines, etc but this location has you covered! And the staff are so friendly and nice I don't think I've ever gone in without receiving a warm greeting from the staff. They also actually care about you, I was not able to come in for a while and they reached out to me personally to make sure I was okay. The other members at this location are really nice too! No creepy guys, no rude stuck up girls, the older crowd is pleasant and welcoming. My best gym experience has been here and I've tried a lot of different gyms in the past 7 years

Fantastic experience: Out of province visitor going for a workout over the long weekend. Vince welcomed me, gave a tour and was very helpful. Gym had the usual equipment, cardio/bars/dumbells/cables/etc, but I was mainly doing resistance/strength training with bars/dumbells/cables. Place was clean and nothing out of place. They even had towel service which my home gym did not offer. At the time of visit, 11am to 2pm, was not as busy. Everyone seemed to just mind their own business, getting those gains. Only odd thing I found was regarding their dumbells. Was looking for the 85lbs, then realized that after 70lbs, the increments are in 10s, so 70,.80, 90, and 100. Not that big a deal, as you can just pick what's available and alter your routine accordingly. Props again to Vince.

Negative experience: Unfortunately, just another shady gym. They made it extremely complicated to cancel my membership even though I was not in a contract and only paying month-to-month. Had to pay an extra 3 months until they allowed it to be canceled. Each time I tried to communicate with them I received a different reason. Would not recommend.
Fantastic experience: I haven't been to a gym in a very long time. The staff here are very encouraging and welcoming. They take a lot of the apprehension out of joining and really create a great atmosphere for all.
Negative experience: My husband cancelled his membership here (about a year ago) and just this past weekend they took out a membership fee. He went into the gym and was told sorry but we have no record of that membership being cancelled (surprise surprise) will be cancelled at end of January as we required 30 days notice. So they will now be taking out another fee, what a joke this place is!

Negative experience: *** AVOID THIS BUSINESS*** !!!!Highly unethical conduct!!! Here’s my experience with this organization: Long time member, supportive of the gym and it’s staff for >3 years. 1/ Put my account on hold for 4 months (August 2020- Jan 2021) during a relocation. 2/ No location available in my new city. At the end of the 4 months I Requested to cancel my membership at the end of the cancelation policy. 3/ emailed manager 10+ times and Called and left 12 voice messages, requesting cancellation. 4/ Management did not call me back and stated in a single email “they couldn’t cancel because of a system issue related to Covid”. BUT- “they would cancel after they reopened following COVID”. (I guess COVID infected their ability to conduct ethical business). 5/ Membership was never cancelled, I complained to their management company to no avail. I received a call from a collections agency demanding $563 and should be $0. 6/ Called the location 3 times following collection call and multiple emails, no response. Absolute horrible, unethical cash grab business…. AVOID Them. GO buy a workout bench and weights from Canadian tire…. Maybe a Peloton. Not worth giving an unethical company like this a single dollar.
Hi James, this is the owner of the club Rob Rooksby. I just checked our reviews and came across your unhappy response. First of all I am very sorry that you have had this negative situation occur and I would like to see if there is something that I can do to help. I have taken a few days to research this and I am sorry that I did not respond earlier, but our customers are everything to us and I wanted to get to the bottom of this as best I could. I have checked all of our records of communication and met with the staff to discuss this situation. In review of the company emails I only saw the one email sent by you February 15. 2021 when we were closed to the public, and we responded the same day saying we were unable to do cancellations when we were closed and all of our banking data was frozen and unable to be manipulated. As for the telephones, all calls were forwarded to management when we were closed and we document all calls, however staff admits they remember having conversations that were had with you that were undocumented due to the stress of the situation (covid closure/re-opening/300% more phone calls/emails/social media responses), however that is no excuse. Not getting calls back is not something that we ever hear as we man the phones even during closure, however we are now looking hard at the situation and considering an answering service to ensure that this does not happen to anyone due to your feedback. The last time that your account attempted to run was October 01. 2020 for the hold that you requested and the credit card you had on file was not approved and this is what began this bad situation. As the club closed in early December for another closure, this is when the financial data that was really never designed to be stopped when wrong and this was listed to collections, I am not sure why. Having said that can you please contact me at [email protected] and working with you I am going to get this entire collection balance deleted and ensure you credit history does not reflect this situation. I am sincerely sorry this happened to you and wish that it did not take a google review to bring this to my attention.
Negative experience: During Covid in late 2020 I requested that my account be cancelled on 11 occasions, (following a 4 month pause). The Manager, Kristi, stated that this couldn’t be addressed because the club wasn’t open but would be done after reopening. I left over 10+ voicemails with no return. However, they continued billing me for 6 months following the request and never processed the cancellation. Their parent company refused to address the situation and I was sent to collections. They have been reported to multiple bodies for their fraudulent account management tactics and should be avoided. In my opinion, this location is just a modern day spin on the well known: “Gym scam”. Highly unethical and very unprofessional. In addition, this facility is in poor condition. Bathrooms are disgusting and smell bad. Nothing is ever cleaned. The operation was much better when Cliff (former manager) was there. Please avoid and do not register at this location. It’s a horrible experience. They also run the one by COP which is in shambles as well.

I just saw this review and I am sorry to hear about your situation and also very confused by this (I am not sure you have the correct location), as we do not have a Jason Evans as a member and never have. We monitored our phone during COVID unlike a lot of other clubs did not, and returned calls daily to be there for our members. All memberships were immediately frozen during any closure to ensure that no one was charge for any service that we could not render and we know that economic times are tough for all. Our rating at the BBB, google and Facebook is very good - excellent, so I am confused about where you are getting this information from. I would really like to talk to you about this as we pride ourselves on doing the best we can for our community and leaving the impression we can on all, whether fitness is for your or not. Negative experience: This company is an absolute joke that makes up rules just to take your money. Prior to the previous closure my mother called attempting to cancel my membership, as it was under her credit card and the card was no longer valid. I then receive a call from the manager getting upset at me telling me that I’m 20 years old and my mother should not be calling on my behalf. After that I personally attempted to cancel the account and the manager convinced me to freeze it instead. I made sure to clarify with her that no charges will be made to my account unless I chose to reopen it and she confirmed. Three months later I begin getting emails saying that my payments are not going through (as the card was no longer valid) when my account is meant to be frozen. I call attempting to tell them that I never unfroze my account and all of a sudden I’m told that accounts are only frozen for three months and I owe them $150. We attempted to reason with them and explain that we were never informed about the three month period, and they just insisted that we paid them. DO NOT SIGN WITH THIS COMPANY THEY ARE LIARS AND WILL DO ANYTHING TO TAKE YOUR MONEY!!!

Fantastic experience: The staff at the Haysboro are second to none. They are always willing to help and their infectious positive attitude resonates throughout the gym, creating a fit, fun environment without judgment. The owner is also very hands on and helpful and ready to help when needed. You feel like family as soon as you walk through the door! The equipment is well maintained and the gym very clean and fully stocked with a great selection of machines and free weights. Private bathrooms(with showers) and change rooms are a huge bonus. Tanning bed on site and towels are always fully stocked. Highly recommended for the new and experienced gym enthusiast's. If I could give the gym and my experiences ten stars, I would!!

Love that you love the vibe, thank you for being part of it!! We were the first Anytime Fitness in Calgary to open today at 6am, we would love to see you stop by for a workout! We cannot do 24 hrs a day yet because workouts have to be low intensity and we need to be there to monitor, but we have the team working as many hours possible for the next 3 weeks to be there for you. Fantastic experience: Love this location, the staff are great and the atmosphere is awesome! The only thing I am not too impressed with is the has been some equipment taken away over the past few months, mainly the hex deadlift bar. It was an essential part of my workout regime (and others of course). On behalf of all members seeing this piece of equipment return and maybe other new pieces (such as a third 45lb barbell) would greatly improve the facility.
Fantastic experience: Great gym that has a close community feel to it. Not intimidating at all and lots of parking. Staff seems amazing as well. Skip the big box gyms and try out ATF.

Fantastic experience: Haysboro Anytime fitness is a small, friendly and welcoming gym. The trainers and staff always greet you with a smile and the majority of people who go are "regular" people vs "gym heads".

Lots of everyday people trying to change their lives for whatever reason, can sometime be intimidated by the size alone of these big box clubs and we offer an alternative with access 24/7 in over 4000 locations worldwide. Fantastic experience: I love this gym, it's a great community-based gym. I was lucky enough to have worked there for a few years and now I'm a member and would highly recommend it. I love the changes they have made over the years and all the additions of equipment. Best part is you really have access to the gym 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Definitely my favorite gym of all the Anytime Fitness Gyms in Calgary.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful gym. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of equipment and accessories for a complete workout.
Fantastic experience: Been going for about 3 months now and so far it’s been great, I’m usually in before or after staff are there but all the interactions I’ve had with them have been very pleasant. It’s always been clean, and rarely are machines broken, the changing room and bathroom locks can be buggy sometimes but I see that as a non issue as you just need to jiggle the handle.

Positive experience: I enjoy this gym, it's very small but I've found there's usually space to get a good workout in, especially if you avoid noon hour and right after work. Ill admit I haven't been there after 6 pm. There's only two power racks and they're the only place to set up a bench press so it takes up space for people wanting to do squats. I don't really know anyone here yet but everyone seems pretty chill, I just ask who's using it if they can grab me when they're done if it's busy, plenty other weights and machines to keep you busy.

Hi Evan, I am sorry to hear that you feel the standards have gone downhill. Providing a clean, organized, well maintained facility is of the highest importance to ownership. I apologize if 5 pieces of equipment were out of order as we had them being re-upholstered, we tried to get them repaired and back in action with 48 hours. We are currently also waiting for the electrician to come and fix or replace on of the exhaust fans in one of the washrooms. As far as uniforms is concerned, we staff are asked to wear black shorts or sport pants, I will go back into surveillance and talk to any staff that were not wearing appropriate attire, pajama looking pants are unprofessional. Is there anything else that is concerning that you can make me aware of? Condition of the club is very important to our members and I have not had any communications about any equipment being out of order. Please do not hesitate to talk to the manager Kristi any time that you are not feeling satisfied with our service or use the suggestion box that we monitor daily in the club and we will effort to get any issue resolved as quickly as we can.

Negative experience: So unprofessional, they transfer my account to they branch from the one on Silverado with my consent after I have canceled my subscription and keep charging my credit card, i'm still dealing this and it is so frustrating.
Hi Christele, I have contacted our club and they have stated that it is not our club that you are having issue at, it is the Silverado location. We have contacted management at that club and transferred you back to that location for them to deal with as quickly as possible. Sorry we could not do more for you, but we had no access to anything that you were discussing and frustrated with.
