Negative experience: I used to be an active member at this gym for years. During COVID, the government forced them to shut down due to quarantine laws. I called to make sure I wasn't getting charged, and they assured me that because of quarantine, all memberships were canceled, and I didn't have to worry about my student membership being charged. Fast forward to the present day, and my family tells me there are suspicious charges on the family cards. They have been charging me for more than 3 years for the membership while I haven't gone and have been a member at a gym closer to my house. I tried to talk to the owner and her son, Alex, but they were extremely unprofessional and rude. Their attitude was very condescending and belittling toward their clients. I felt like I was genuinely being gaslit and juggled between the mother and son owners as they pretended they didn’t know what was going on, claiming the cancellation wasn’t "in the system's records anymore." I didn’t even want my money back, since I know that's very hard for small businesses; I just wanted some kind of membership credit so I’d feel like they didn’t steal $1,352 from me over the past 3 years. They kept ignoring my emails and delaying until they insulted me with an offer of "Pay for 1 year, get 6 months FREE!!!" Like you thieves didn’t just take 3 years' worth of membership from me. Their main defense was that you can't cancel over the phone, and whoever answered must not have known. How could I cancel in person if you were locked down due to quarantine and COVID restrictions? Everything they did was in completely bad faith and insulting to this community, as I was a 4x-a-week active member beforehand. I would stay away from this gym due to the unprofessionalism and disrespect displayed by the management, as they sarcastically mocked me for trying to find a compromise. At this point, I wouldn’t even take free membership credit, as I feel extremely unwelcome in the environment they have established at this gym. I'm also pretty sure the 5 star reviews are fake bots from deactivated accounts. I just hope karma exists, and if my review doesn't convince you to avoid this gym, at least pay with cash and don’t give them your credit card. Alex and Rose, you had your chance to be decent humans. I hope life treats you guys and your "business" with the same kindness that you have shown me. EDIT: Honestly ridiculous of you to come out and straight up lie to save face. I didn't write this review to get my money back or a free membership, I wrote it to warn others of what they might experience. Hopefully they don't make the same mistake as me for choosing to sign up to this gym. With how rough it's looking inside that gym, you guys need that money more than I do. Cheers!

Negative experience: The gym is fine - I went in a couple of times and it worked. The problem comes when you try to cancel your membership. I paid them for months AFTER I transferred my account to someone else (somehow, I was still responsible for $200~). I paid that, had it settled in December 2023. I just received another email today (June 2024) about my account being in collections again - despite written proof that my whole account had been settled HALF A YEAR AGO. I gave them a call today, and apparently, even if you call them, they can't do anything unless you specifically reply to the email (even if the email says to talk to their front staff). The email still goes back to this club, so why calling them directly doesn't do anything is a bit confusing. I'm not saying anything about Anytime Fitness as a whole, but maybe pick another one as your home gym so you don't have to deal with this. Edit: the owner commented that they apologized for the glitch - they didn't, nor did they reply to my emailed request for an update after I had gotten an email back about how they'd "investigate it" a week ago.

Fantastic experience: Great Pilates classes today, a lot of fun, highly recommended! ❤️

Negative experience: I cannot believe there is no AC where the squad racks/bench press are. It is impossible to workout in a hot day, it is really awful pay for membership and to not receive an appropriate service. If you expect us as customers to meet your requirements such as bring a change of shoes, we also expect you to meet our requirements. (This has been an ongoing problem for over a year)

Fantastic experience: Alex is seriously just the nicest guy with such a way with words (really knows how to connect with ppl yk). He really helped me and my best friend feel comfortable in such a new environment and always waves with a smile. We were really scared of going to a gym at first but immediately felt at ease because of him and his relaxing, helpful, and casual but professional demeanor. He's totally great thanks Alex Congiusta I hope someone higher up reads this and tells you that you're good at what you do

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this location for about 2 years (after the stupid pandemic restrictions were lifted). I am enjoying it. The renovations were a little disrupting but the payoff is a bigger gym and workout areas. Excellent. I also enjoy the effort the staff makes to set up exercise classes. When I can attend, I enjoy them. We need more members to attend them so that the classes can continue. The staff are great to work with and are very responsive. I WILL BE renewing. Cheers!!!

Fantastic experience: I've been a member of Anytime Fitness for over five months now, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The 24/7 access is a game-changer for my busy schedule, allowing me to work out whenever it suits me. The gym is always clean and well-maintained, and the staff is friendly and helpful. They offer a variety of equipment and classes, so I never get bored with my workouts. Overall, it's a fantastic gym for anyone looking for flexibility and a welcoming atmosphere.

Positive experience: Pretty dead most times i go due to it being 24/7, never have trouble finding machines. Would just recommend bringing earbuds or headphones because the music always sucks. But i feel like thats 99% of gyms tbh

Positive experience: Hey guys.. as per their email it stated that there was Power Shutdown until 6am from Tuesday 25 to July 26 2023.. unfortunately I got here at 730am and the doors were closed and scan did not work... Not impressed.. it would have been better to advise members not to come at all,Until things are rectified. Hope everyone sees this before coming

Positive experience: Definitely not a bad gym, good machines and quite a large space in general. But my main issues with this location is the condition of the dumbbells in the free weights area and the barbell plates in the area where the bigger equipment is located. The free weights area is a nightmare; they're all mixed up and a lot of the bigger weights don't even have a spot on the rack so they are just sitting there beside the rack on the ground. The benches in that area are fairly decent, some of the taped ones could be replaced though. As for the barbell plates, not only are they also all mixed up across the area, a lot of them are breaking apart. I understand that to some extent, this is on the members, but surely you can't expect them to be organized when there is no place to put them after working out except on the racks on the machines. I would highly recommend getting plate storage racks for that area like the one where the office used to be. Furthermore, I again understand that it's also on the members to be careful to not damage the equipment, but today on their IG story (2023-06-16) they posted a broken dumbbell and said they "would not be replacing it". How are you going to punish the rest of your members for the actions of a few? All in all, the staff are quite kind for the most part, the machines are good, plenty of space to workout as well. But to keep your members happy, I would highly recommend investing in better storage racks for both the plates and the dumbbells and replacing the ones that are damaged. The new expansion is great (hoping to see the old colors back on the walls soon though, currently quite plain haha)

Fantastic experience: I don’t know why people are saying negative things about Anytime Fitness , they are blind ,bitter and need a life ! The gym is kept Clean , there’s lots of different machines and cardio machines , I personally love the new renovation which they were nice to do for their HONEST and TRUE members . The problem isn’t the gym it’s people who are disrespectful and disgusting and don’t clean up after themselves and leave the washroom and change rooms messy, the staff aren’t your maids! I especially enjoy the good variety of free classes .

Fantastic experience: It's almost been a month since I started coming here and so far really enjoying it. During the rush hours it might get packed and some equipments might be occupied. The price is reasonable and as a woman I feel safe coming here at night.

Fantastic experience: I go to this gym often and every time I go I have a wonderful experience. The staff are super kind. Naomi was very welcoming and friendly at the front desk and always say hi and refers to me by name. Great ran gym with terrific staff

Negative experience: I’ve been going to this gym for 8 months now, the first 6 months went really well it was before all the renovations started. But since the renovations started things have gone downhill for me and this club. The first time I signed up with a 6 month membership i was assured that I would be able to renew my membership with something called a grandfather deal meaning if prices went up then I could still pay the price I payed for the first term membership, but was not the case and I payed about 50$ more to renew for another 6 months. The gym has also had several occasions now where they have closed the gym for a few days for renovations. There is another location 15ish minutes away so its inconvenient but go-able. What has really been inconvenient though is that recently when the gym is open some machines are unavailable to use. For example just today 4/24/23 the treadmills were unavailable to use after the gym was closed since friday afternoon. They sent out an email saying the gym was opened again, but did not clarify that some machines were still unavailable to use at the location. And they snapped a picture for the email, and I happened to be in the picture that was emailed to the gym users which I’m not okay with at all and did not consent to. And lastly for my new 6 month contract agreement i have only actually been given a 5 month term, not 6.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to multiple gyms over the last few years and this is by far my favourite. It’s not the fanciest but it has everything you need, it’s hardly ever overly crowded, and my experience with customer service has been pleasant (shoutout to Rose). They’re also expanding which is great! I’m excited to see what the facility will look like once they’ve completed renovations.

Fantastic experience: Super quiet in the early morning. With only a few early birds like myself, it's so peaceful, you can get a great workout done with all the equipment at hand, then head out to start your day.

Negative experience: The doors are closed, and no one did not open it. 2 times.

Negative experience: I think the recent 5* reviews might be paid by. Most of the profiles are restricted. I still go at this gym, but definitely don't have 5 star ambiance! EXPOSED INSULATION(Fiberglass) great health risk to lungs!! especially when you are constantly breathing heavy at 180BPM !! Still 5*?? Update after club replied: The picture wasn't false,In fact, i still have the video of that same day. I didn't post because of the privacy of other members in the gym. That area was opened to public to use.people were doing their workout in that area, and insulation shouldn't be exposed where people work out. In fact , i personally asked one of the contractors to cover it up. It is negligence of the club that didn't care beforehand.Yes, it has been covered now. You guys should accept the mistake and stop accusing me for falsify. UPDATE after club banned me: I can't refrain from preaching my freedom of speech. I am also a blue colar small business owner, and i respect my employees and customers and never put their health at risk, unlike you guys did with members. For sure, this club has been here for the last 15 years, and this isn't your first time banning someone for an honest REVIEW. Club contact me 2 time , once for saying remove the review beacuse there wasn't such insulation and secondly called me to say " I am not welcomed to the gym" . You guys never accepted the mistake and were narcissistic. BRAVO, Good luck with the future

Fantastic experience: Recently retired and joined ANYTIME Fitness in Maple. It was the best decision for my life. Having access to 24/7 gym within walking distance is amazing. Gym is huge with lots of equipment, free weights , washrooms and showers on 2 levels. Staff is also most helpful. Gym is going to get even better if possible. Owners rented adjacent location and renovations already underway to double the size. Anytime Fitness in Maple offers great value for money. Can’t wait for expansion to be completed. Kudos to owners and all staff!

Fantastic experience: love, love, love! this place has been my second home for 4 years! and I am beyond excited to see all that this expansion has in store for us. It is a great gym; and it is about to get a lot bigger and better... new machines, a more functional space... the excitement is REAL. And look at how great this multi-purpose room is!

Negative experience: Worst and most unprofessional club I have ever been to. The lack of communication is unacceptable and they should be closed down! The whole team are completely rude, the gym is disgustingly messy and never clean! You are better off going to a club in the Richmond hill area! Read the other poor reviews and gives you an idea of the type of owner you are dealing with. Unbelievable service.

Stephanie took the time to show me around the gym and demonstrate some equipment that I wasn’t familiar with. She gave me the confidence to start working out again. The gym is clean and tidy. Fantastic experience: Nice gym that’s open 24/7. They have all the equipment you need - just not excessive multiples of everything. It is a smallish gym (compared to LA or GoodLife) but it’s a nice spot to get your pump in.

Negative experience: They never answer the phone, I cancelled my membership more than 6 months ago and they tried to charge me twice. I emailed them and they do not even respond and now I’m filing a charge back and possibly have to get a new card now. Absolutely insane the irresponsibility and all the low reviews are real.

Negative experience: The owner is very unprofessional. I was overcharged $20 twice and it took me 5 months to get my money back. She then ban me from the club and removed my key fob (while my membership was still active) for simply speaking to her kindly. Her excuse was I was “harassing” her. Im not the first to have issues with her, as friends of mine also had bad experiences with her, along with the other reviews. Phone calls are never answered, & emails are sometimes answered but weeks later. Very limited on equipment and space. Would not recommend this club to anyone.

Negative experience: Dirty gym & terrible culture - People don't put weights away, no one cleaned up after their sweaty selves, weights scattered all over the floor, cramped, not a mask in sight, etc. Changeroom was a cramped 12'x12' square room which doubled as an open locker area, mixing people, coats, bags, shoes in one very uncomfortable area. I actually felt dirty working out here. Front door doesn't even close properly so if the last person in doesn't pull it shut, anyone off the street can walk in, make a mess and not give a hoot (not to mention no lockers so someone could walk in, take your stuff and disappear). I wouldn't be surprised if packs of younger guys specifically come here at this time for a free gym. I went Saturday, 5-6PM so perhaps it gets worse when staff is not in. I've been to tons of gyms - many Goodlifes, Anytime Fitnesses, boxing gyms, black iron gyms, etc., many of which are for serious fitness enthusiasts and not high end spa-gyms like Equinox, so I can handle a crowded & less clean gym. But this was next level. I would never recommend going here which is a shame because it has potential - there is a good variety of strength and cardio equipment, multiple rooms, lots squat racks, bumper plates, and specialty equipment for serious lifters, etc. But if the cleanliness and overcrowding isn't addressed, it's all moot.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to this location for four years and my experience has been nothing but amazing. I have also visited Anytime locations in Ottawa and Gatineau, yet, there's something unique about the Maple location! It's a judgment free zone with plenty of space (with an additional workout area in the basement) and a plethora of high quality equipment. Not all gyms have trap bars, TRX bands, and the right equipment and space for calisthenics and box jumps. Rose and her staff here are helpful, friendly, and professional. The cleaning staff are also cool and do a great job at keeping it tidy.

Fantastic experience: I'm in my second year of membership at Anytime Fitness Maple. I'm 75 years young. They provide me with everything I require for fitness and workouts to maintain my health. The staff are professional, helpful and very friendly. Rose and her staff should be commended for the caring service they provide at Anytime Fitness Maple.

Fantastic experience: Personally my favorite Anytime location,I have been to pretty much every location in the GTA. This is the only location where I am treated fairly and not harassed to provide information about myself. A non judgemental space I can feel free to do all the things necessary to build muscle and strength, heavy deadlifts etc, which unfortunately is rare nowadays. The equipment is great, not every gym has a Trap Bar or dumbells that go over 100lbs. Bottom line great value gym for someone thats actually there to workout! These are tough economic times and owners of such establishments need to find creative ways to maintain profit margins while not jacking up membership prices and i feel they have done this quite well. I only wish certain members were more respectful of the facility and not try to sneak guests in after hours and put their weights away when done using them.

Negative experience: After 9 pm when the front reception leaves, the gym is full of 15 year olds using occupying all the weights! This is horrible, because these kids didn’t pay to be at the gym and use their friends access. Either do something about this or have an age limit on who can enter! If you are a person that goes to the gym regularly as I do, I don’t recommend it. Management please do something about this. And upgrade your weights they are really old!

Negative experience: Normally I wouldn’t take the time out of my day to write a review but I genuinely wouldn’t recommend wasting your time or money here. Absolutely sickening level of customer service. I do not think Rose understands that the only reason she has a job here is because of the users who pay to use the facility. Her main job is literally customer service. I come in looking to start a membership at this location, switching from another gym for convenience purposes. I approach Rose (who is walking around the gym eating her lunch) to enthusiastically ask if I could start a trial period for a membership. She was also just very rude to two other individuals who came in just ahead of me (who were very friendly). I told her that I was going to be going back and forth from Ottawa every once in a while so Anytime would work well for me. Before listening to my needs, she claimed she did not want to give me a trial period since ‘I said I wanted to buy my membership in Ottawa’ - not what I said. The conversation went back and forth, me trying to clarify the miscommunication, and her not listening. I told her she was being rude and unaccommodating to which she replied “that’s just my personality”. At this point I simply walked out. Disgusted. Update/Reply: I’m really not sure why you would accuse me of sneaking in, the first thing I did was find you…

Negative experience: Id give a negative response if I could. Worst customer service, zero communication skills and terrible management. I don’t even know how the manager is a manager … Literally have to harass them with multiple emails and phone calls just for a lousy and unprofessional response back.

Fantastic experience: I really like this gym, it’s not one of the huge warehouse ones which seem so impersonal. The staff are very friendly and I always feel welcomed when I come in! They also recently updated their functional training equipment and it’s a really nice functional training space now. Happy with the staff, service, and the environment.

Negative experience: Very rude manager. She doesn't respect and she is very racist. They don't wear mask in the office and don't following the Covid rules. You just answered my review, I hope you and other people see it! : Yes the owner is absolutely a resist. She knew that I wasn't able to talk rude and have attitude like her, because I am new in Canada and learning the language. I also saw other reviews about the owner. That's sad for the business..

Negative experience: I canceled my membership more then month before and they keep taking money from my account. Once I tried to contact and receptionist Naomi doesn't know how to process or stop payment. After making 3 different appointments I am still working on it and couldn't stop payment or reimburse BE AWARE SHEIKH NOMAN HAFEEZ

Negative experience: The owner here is very unprofessional, she yells at members and complains about her own gym being dirty and broken down. Maybe she should stop yelling at guest and invest more money into repairing the gym and adding new equipment.

Negative experience: Anytime Fitness is a great gym franchise and have a vast array of equipment for all your fitness needs. Main concern with this location is the layout. People who are claustrophobic would not enjoy the general layout due to very close walls and tight spaces. Gym is moderately small and it seems as if you are entering someones house and not a gym. Also has poor ventilation.

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, and a positive, encouraging environment to achieve your fitness goals! Offer a wide variety of classes at many times throughout the week. Very clean, and recently renovated as well. Also, a lot of space available to work out with others, or privately. A few machines are currently not working, but they are in the midst of getting these repaired.

Fantastic experience: Been a member of this gym for many years. Conveniently close to home. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Staff member Mike has been amazing and has helped me reach my new goals. The membership fee is excellent when compared to other gyms.
