Positive experience: Smells like Grandma's basement. Usable but could be better, way better.

Negative experience: Usually cleanliness, gym environment and equipment in other anytime fitness location are pretty good but with this location I have say its not up to the standards. Person who’s incharge of this gym should take a look personally. As compared to the newton location it’s too below the standards.

Negative experience: Been going here for a year and the water filter is still red. Needs to be replace also the hand dryer has been broken for a year……

Negative experience: So congested no hygiene , lack of machines and equipments, dirty mat, no space to warm up and stretching, dirt all around on the blind folds, its better to close such location if you can’t maintain

Negative experience: Location of the gym is good but seriously lacking maintenance. Front lock is broken so anyone can walk in, Hand dryers broken , weight labels on machines are non existent , dirt and cobwebs on the windows in front of treadmills , the last straw was today there were no disinfectant wipes in the entire gym. All 3 canisters were empty so if you wanted to use a machine you’d be sitting in someone else’s sweat and couldn’t wipe it down.

Fantastic experience: i have always liked the vibe of this gym, for some day's the equipment was not working specially the stairmaster, but since it's fixed and working amazing now, i am happy, look forward to keep on having upgrades at the gym, pretty clean and helpful staff

Negative experience: The stair master is always broken and never fixed. Very disappointed half the cardio machines are broken.

Fantastic experience: This is the best location to go to great help available, machines are always available to use at every hour of the day and Nikhil is great help. Please do pay a visit.

Negative experience: I generally enjoy Anytime Fitness locations and use them often while travelling. This gym however falls below expectations. Overall it is a smaller gym which is fine, however the cleanliness of the gym is questionable. The “wipe down” of equipment from members is obviously not enforced as I was there for well over 1.5 hours and saw only a single person grab a wipe to clean their equipment before or after using. I’m posting a pic of my wipe after using on an elliptical machine. Only two chairs at entrance for sitting to put on runners and nowhere to store outdoor shoes other than the cubbies for bags. This gym made me appreciate my regular Anytime so much.

Negative experience: Since I have been to quite a few locations. This gym is quite unfortunate and does not meet the Anytime Fitness standard. It has a mouldy/BO odour, unclean, and disorganized. It seems ownership and staff simply don’t care enough to restore the value and meet hygienic standards.

Positive experience: Anytime Fitness Guildford in Surrey, One of the smaller locations with dialled in equipment for a quick pump. Wasn’t to busy on a Tuesday.

Fantastic experience: This is by far the best gym I've been to here in Canada. Is not crowded and you can actually work out. Nikhil, the trainer, is very helpfull whenever you have a question. The equipment is in best shape. I'll totally continue coming here.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely blown away with the recent improvements at this facility. The owner has really stepped up in recent months. The heat has been fixed, all the ceiling tiles that were previously missing have been replaced and there is a full-time custodian who takes phenomenal care of the cleanliness at the gym. A huge shoutout to Nikhil, Kenneth, and all the friendly & helpful staff at this location!

Fantastic experience: Clean gym, amazing staff and very clean. Recently dropped into the location after falling off the wagon for a few months. This place has fixed up ALL its equipment, everything is working as it should and it’s good to see things being taken care of here. Looking forward to crushing it over the next few months. Recommend anyone looking to get into fitness drop by here and talk to the staff about training sessions as well

Fantastic experience: I just got my subscription today with Nikhal, he was very helpful and friendly going over the plans they had. Process was fast surprisingly. The gym wasn’t too crowded which was great. Will give a follow up review in 1-2 months to see things goes.

Negative experience: Machines are rusty that’s why they are not working properly. There’s no cleaning from long time which gives a nasty smell in the gym.

Negative experience: I typically refrain from leaving negative reviews, but I felt compelled to share my disappointment with this particular Anytime Fitness location. Having had great experiences at other branches of the chain, I had a certain level of expectations, but unfortunately, this one fell significantly short. While I can overlook a smaller gym size, the level of cleanliness was nothing short of absolutely shocking. The next time it gets cleaned might be the first time. I was even more shocked when the worker walked by with an aerosol air freshener and sprayed the whole gym... How about grab a vacuum, mop and some cleaning supplies.

Negative experience: This gym is disgusting. It doesn’t even deserve one star.

Fantastic experience: The surroundings in the gym improved really from good to best from last year. Equipments well maintained and added new as well. Staff is cooperative especially Nikhil.

Negative experience: I’ve been here a few times. This location does not live up to the standards of other anytime fitness locations. Lots of the equipment needs to be updated or replaced. There are holes in the wall from likely accidental damage, but still it should be fixed. Things are never put away. Kettlebell selection is very light. Only 2 squat racks. In the winter this place was freezing cold. Bathrooms are rarely clean. I will often drive to another location just to have a great workout.

Negative experience: The facility needs a whole renovation, like, tear down and redo; dents on the walls, smears on the mirrors, weird handmade signs, misplaced or missing weights, missing ceiling walls, exposed vents, dirty toilets and machines that are clearly very old. I was there twice and a family member was there more than a couple times. Got worse ever since I lived there. Once there was no staff present in the office until I was done my workout (about an hour and a half), someone could easily workout there who is not a member and no one would know. Either understaffed or neglectful staff there idk. I thought the $30-60 a year facility tax that Anytime gets from us would go to something but it seems this facility is using it for something else. Very sketchy there and felt unsafe working out there. Would HEAVILY not recommend to go there until serious changes are made. Unfortunately, best to go to the new ones in the lower mainland.

Negative experience: Literally the dirtiest anytime location I have been too. The interior and all the equipment are falling apart and nothing is maintained or clean at all. It better to go to the fleetwood or Clayton location to workout.

Fantastic experience: Updating my previous review as Nikhil has been working diligently to improve the gym with the owner. Missing equipment has been replaced and the gym has been cleaned.

Negative experience: How has a health inspector not closed this place. Embarrassingly filthy. Establishment should be ashamed of the state of their gym and equipment.

Negative experience: Worst gym. Not staffed properly want to cancel my membership but unable to reach anyone. The contact number mentioned on door and website doesn’t work at all. No staff members during regular staffed hours. Visited Wednesday around 5:40 nobody is there. But on door and website the staffed hours are till 8:00pm Worst customer service.

Negative experience: The broken mirror is what initially caught my attention, and it went downhill quickly after that. The water filling stations look like they haven't been cleaned in a long time, and I would recommend not using them. There is only 1 shower currently available, which also does not look clean. There is a buildup of something brown and wet under the hand dryer, which blows the water off your hands onto the electrical cord and outlet that the dryer is plugged in to, that also happens to be located about 8 inches below and a little to the side of it. Yes, the plug is a GFCI, but is that really the best location for it? The equipment is old, but most of it works, some of the weight benches need to be replaced, but that's minor compared to the rest of the concerns. See the other reviews. Overall this place is gross. The carpets and floor padding? are very dirty and torn, and there's always a smell of some potent cleaner that is almost able to mask how bad the gym truly smells. The first time I was here I stayed for about 30 minutes and went home to shower, wash my clothes and shaker bottle, and hope I could get some antimicrobial medication, because I filled my water bottle and drank it without looking at the fountain close enough initially. (The left one is slightly cleaner than the right one). This is actually the first time I've seen such a low score for a well known business, and after going in, I was surprised that there were anything but 1 star reviews. I'm honestly surprised that this location has not been forced to renovate. If I'm required to drive to another location to feel clean and comfortable while working out, that gym will not be an anytime fitness.

Negative experience: I like Anytime Fitness, they have good gyms and good locations. This location however uses equipment from 20 years ago. Everything is old, rundown, gym is dirty and has not been properly cleaned in a long time. Shattered mirrors, damages equipment, old equipment and small space. Probably the worst location I have been to. You know it's old when it has a place for iPod!

Negative experience: This place is a dump! This place just screams staph infection. Missing clips, missing pins, broken equipment, missing weights, coffee cups and water bottles just laying around, the washroom’s/showers are absolutely disgusting. Good playlist from 2009 though, which is probably the last time the owner stopped in to see how things were going.

Negative experience: I'm in shock. My home gym is the fleetwood gym but this one is closer to my house. I came here for the first time and this location is horrible. The walls/bathrooms/equipment seats are iterally falling apart. I thought the member ship was expensive even based on the fleetwood location! I would never spend money on a gym that looked like this. It feels like a joke if you've been in a decent gym before

Negative experience: Stinks like old wet dog, run down equipment. Not a good representation of the anytime fitness brand. Not impressed.

Negative experience: I'm so disappointed with this Anytime franchise. I loved my Anytime in North Burnaby but now that I live in Surrey without a car this is the only accessible location for me. Please clean the carpets and floors. There's such a horrible odour in here - smells like a middle schooler's gym locker that hasn't been opened in 6 months. The cardio machines don't have the interactive screens like other Anytimes that allow you to watch video footage of hikes (very inspiring for long workouts), there's limited floor space for mats/pilates, and the music's blasting at an obnoxious volume every time I've visited. This location makes me want to cancel my membership after 3 very happy years with AF. :( I'd strongly encourage you to clean/renovate or risk losing loyal members.

Negative experience: Awful customer service. My husband used to go to anytime fitness for long time, and still he’s been paying monthly regardless of not being able to go to the gym in the last half a year or so (which company obviously doesn’t reimburse or anything). That being said, the other day he got a call from the company stating there was one missed payment, and before even talking to my husband to see what happened, the person started off with being rude and threatening he will ruin his credit score if he doesn’t pay! (his credit card was canceled and replaced by the bank due to suspension activity, and he didn’t even remember it was connected to the gym payments as he hasn’t used the gym in a very long time). That is not the right way to speak to your clients. It’s very unprofessional. He obviously updated the credit card info and even stayed a member regardless of what happened. Not to mention They can’t even transfer his membership to another location as we moved. But this type of rude and threatening attitude is not acceptable. I’ll be taking to him about changing the gym because with this customer service, our money should be going elsewhere.

Negative experience: Broken equipment, moldy washrooms, unavailable staff, and a very small workout area. This location needs to be shut down and renovated badly.

Negative experience: The staff is so careless, they haven't updated their contact information neither online nor on the app. Whenever you call on the given contact number, it always goes on voicemail. In addition, they don't reply the emails as well.

Negative experience: I agree with other reviews. This management doesn't deserve to be in business. I went in to try out today. Equipment was rusted and in worst shape. Cleanliness was an issue. Glass had smudge marks and has never been cleaned. Bathroom/Changeroom stinked. No vacuuming was done. I don't understand if they are promoting some or demoting something. Very bad experience.

Negative experience: Staff hours start at 10am,but there was no one till 10.30am...as computer system of this location wasn't working as per notification pasted by them on the door.i needed assistance to get in.water tanks with the thick line of mold which strangely staff cannot see..no barbell pads and just having one barbell for two racks.benches all torn.cable ropes can break any time.bathrooms worst situation.no changes in two years...I switched to Fleetwood...but guildford location was my preferred location bcoz it was closeby.staff here or the authorities really care.so many reviews sharing the same problems.

Negative experience: Can you guys leave a notice as to why the power is disconnected so often at this location, preventing anyone from accessing service we are paying for? Convenient location but I rarely find people working during the set business hours, or explanations as to why the location is closed when it should be open.

Negative experience: I very rarely go out of my way to write negative reviews, but I felt other fellow gym goers should know. I used to go to the Anytime in ND, which was totally fine. Moved near Guildford mall so checked this spot out. Things I noticed immediately: Water station literally has a layer of brown mold on both, filter probably isn’t been cleaned in years. Had many troubles getting in with the FOB. Wasn’t able to connect to wifi as well. Pretty much all equipment was so old and worn, the filling was starting to show. Smell was pretty pungent, even for a gym of course, a nice lil stale musty whiff. Bathrooms were gross, no TP in both, and cobwebs in the corner. Literally the whole place had a thick, noticeable layer of grime EVERYWHERE, especially the windows, you can’t escape it. From what I heard Fleetwood location has excellent reviews so I will certainly be checking them out and not this one anytime soon. Y’all been warned, it’s almost laughable! Stay away until someone in charge takes control of this and I do hope someone does as it is a pretty central location, fingers crossed!

Negative experience: I would give a 0 star if I could. Worst gym of any AF locations. 1. Two barbells, one broken for the better part of a year. Instead of replacing or fixing it, they removed it. Now there's only one barbell for two squat racks. 2. Water fountain filter light has been on for over 2 years, filter still hasn't been changed. 3. Mold on the water fountains and washrooms sinks and dryers. 4. Cob webs in washroom still haven't been cleared after over 2 years. 5. Either they refuse to turn the heat on in the winter or it's broken, but it's consistently 10 degrees in the gym in the winter. 6. Washrooms are disgusting, better to use the McDonald's washroom next door.

Come on owner get on it I could run this business better . Gym is in gross shape time to get passes on to another owner that cares and or a new location in guildford and sold off .

Negative experience: I would give ZERO star if I could. Long story short: I called the gym to cancel my membership on August 9. The guy on the phone advised me to call the next day because they need one day to process my credit payment. When I called one day later, the telephone number was disconnected. Having been calling them everyday, but with no luck. I went to the gym on August 12 during staff hour, NO staff onsite. Can't even get into the gym with my fob( but my credit card is still being charged). Advice: Stay away from this gym.

Positive experience: I’ve been going to this gym for a little over a year now. It’s been alright. Close to where I live. But these last few days it just remained close without a notice or anything. So I went to the closest anytime fitness, the one in fleetwood, which has been a pleasant surprise. Very well maintained. I highly recommend giving it a try.

Negative experience: Wow, I'm completely disgusted. All the one star reviews are right about this place. Believe them, trust them. List of SOME of the issues: 1. Keyfob entrance is half broken. Constantly have to try to tap in. 2. Your first welcoming entry into the gym is the smell of B.O and musk. 3. Equipment are old. Terribly old. There was a pile of dust at the base of some equipment. Weight benches are in terrible shape with the covering tearing off and some with the foam showing. There are two squat racks. They're facing each other. Imagine squatting while facing another person. Hot. Luckily for people, there's only one squat bar..... Worse gym I've been to. You can do better.

Negative experience: Staff often wasn’t there during staffed hours. Tried emailing to book an appointment, no reply. Benches are disintegrating and clearly need replacing, a couple of the treadmills didn’t work. Would avoid Edit: since leaving this review I got an email from them to rate their service and contact them via email if there was any issues. I tried emailing but the email address bounced. Very professional.

Negative experience: takes years for things to be fixed. Things that should be essential n top priority such as the air conditioner especially through the summer wasnt fixed till a month later. Some equipments were missing for a very long time still in need of replacement. Tried calling in to cancel my member ship DURING office hours and they did not pick up 3 times. Worst place to workout waste of money rather go to the guildford rec much better quality, cheaper and you get access the the swimming pool too;)

Negative experience: Key fob scanner doesn't work - can't even get into the gym to experience all the other bad reviews...
