Fantastic experience: Amazing upgrades to this place since I've been there a few years ago. Very nice location now.

Fantastic experience: Almost better than family . My son and I love this place, but I especially want to shout out the swimming instructors, they do great work for the kids. The front desk people are next, the lifeguards and of course Karen .

Fantastic experience: This place is spotless! After swim lessons the changing room floors are clean and DRY! After swimming lessons I dont worry about my little one slipping and so nice to not see the water and mess from the last person in the change room. Spacious changing rooms with hot showers are also appreciated. The gym facility is also immaculate, the staff in the childcare space are super friendly, caring and in tune with your kids development and what their preferences are. All other staff are smiling, welcoming you every visit and know you by name. Ideal place for a stay at home mom for childcare during workouts, swim lessons, regular free family events, SUPER clean building and amazing staff. This is a huge step up from other leisure centre's we have in the city. We're there 5 times a week and when we pull into the parking lot my toddler shouts, "YEY! THE Y!"

Fantastic experience: It's like our second home. The kids are always treated like family. Everyone knows us there and we always feel safe and welcomed. It's such a fun and clean facility. We love the programs they have especially for the whole family to join in on. We love how they encourage family time together. We are so grateful for the YMCA but specifically the Chilliwack location because of Karen and the rat of the amazing staff.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a group fitness instructor at the Chilliwack YMCA for 6 years now and I absolutely love teaching there. I feel very supported and the community and staff are so kind. I’ve been bringing my children there since they were 6 weeks old, they enjoy going just as much as I do. This is a great family oriented facility.

Fantastic experience: The YMCA, specifically this one, is one of my favourite places to be! I have a great community at the 6:15am classes and I look forward to going every mornings (most of the time) ;) The staff is friendly, the facility is clean, and the equipment is up to date.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful new facility, I love this place. Huge basketball gym. Lap pool and hot tub. Spinning class room. Yoga class room. Table tennis for kids + families. Child minding on site. Conference rooms. Wheelchair accessible (elevators).cardio + weights + classes. And : affordable. Can't say enough good about it. We are lucky to have this place.

Negative experience: Only been a member for 2 weeks and the amount of times the pool has not been available because of no life guard , or the hot tub has been closed is pretty poor service , particularly on a Sunday during family open swim. It might be time to review your management. At this rate I will not be a member next month

Positive experience: The facilities are always very clean with lots of showers and lockers and lots of parking. Staff are always friendly and the gym isn't usually very busy. They also don't have contracts, which is my main reason for using this gym as I've been screwed over in the past. However I find some of the gym equipment lacking. For example, they don't have bumper plates, different options for barbell bars, or different workouts accessories. I'm working with a trainer at a different gym and she often has to troubleshoot with me to adjust my workout to the Y's limited equipment. Also, their hours aren't great. Closing at 5pm on Saturday and 2pm on Sunday is way too early imo so I don't tend to go on weekends. Overall I like this gym, I just wish they'd upgrade some of their equipment, especially as it's supposed to be a family gym so items like bumper plates should be a given.

Fantastic experience: You can find table tennis, swimming pool, gym, basketball and classes for swimming and fitness. Nice staff. Clean and attractive surroundings. Not too much busy. If you go now you can get 1 week trail for all of these. Highly recommended.

Negative experience: Sad to give it 1 star. Got a so called 5 day pass for only a 2 week period. I said to the girl, can it start may 1 and she didn't do it. I lost a week right away. The schedule times and classes are awful :(. Very poorly set up :( I did 1 yoga class. Worst ever and I've done quite a few different ones over the years. Went to another one with a different name and it was the same but even worse than the other one :( I left after 1/2 an hour of sleeping there when I just woke up from a better nights sleep. Never seen that before. Maybe good classes were cancelled. I'll never get to try them. Sadly those ones are only 1 time or on 1 day a week. This Greatly Contributes to NO Quality of life :( :( :( :( I won't even go into the BS of low to no income :( :( :( Their prices are OUTRAGEOUS. Brutally Disappointed :(

Fantastic experience: YMCA is a fantastic sports center. The staff is exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making it a pleasure to visit every time. The facility is well-maintained and kept neat and tidy at all times.

Fantastic experience: The Y is a great place to workout. There are some really incredible classes, my favorites are with Sharon. Their Y Play child care is top notch but a little hard to book in. They are very accommodating and welcoming. All the girls at the front desk are so friendly and helpful. I appreciate all the water refill stations, lockers and vast array of gym equipment. Great job!

Negative experience: I was talked into purchasing two prepaid cards worth $5000 each. Soon after, they raised their item prices by 30% and are not allowing refunds on the cards.

Fantastic experience: I think it’s a great gym but has its flaws I feel like it could have less cardio machines and add a better bicep curl machine and just have more machines in general and add just one smith machine for different kinds of calf raises and exercises unique to it but other than that the staff are super friendly and the bathrooms and locker rooms are super clean which I’m impressed with for a public space

Fantastic experience: The child minding programs alone make this place the best. Its been my saving grace with little kids. My 1st day back to the gym after 17months from the whole covid thing. An I moved away for 2yrs. Its still the best gym ever if you have kids. Worth every penny!!!!

Positive experience: I normally love the YMCA. We stuck with it during the renos and covid. But they don’t have programs for my kids when I need them. The 10-15 ages are hard for the kids to get what they need from the YMCA. No child care, so i can’t go to my classes. And swimming lessons filled up before we even got an email about it. Not to mention they now charge double the amount for a family of four. I don’t think we can stay with the YMCA. Will be switching to Cheam for now. Will keep watching the Y, if they change what they can offer, maybe it will be worth the price.

Positive experience: I didn't realize that YMCAs were so inflexible when it comes to access and membership. Their website sucks big time - I looked for at least 30 min on memberships and not sure if I ever found the pricing - I think I gave up. Not really any programs for seniors.

Fantastic experience: Pretty standard prices for a great service. There is always starters discounts and it is fairly simple to get a membership. really clean gym and positive atmosphere is really nice. They only have one bench press set up which can be difficult if you go during the busier hours but overall a really nice set up. Compared to a lot of the other choices in town this is ideal for casual or beginner users. There is probably a lot more here that I don't even know about yet.

Adding 40 dollars more on a membership is outrageous. Not impressed about how they handled existing clients.

Positive experience: First time visiting the new facility. The old one was very dated. It is well laid out and well lit. The change rooms, swimming pool and ball court are on the main floor, along with various meeting rooms. The workout area is on the second floor. As it's new, so is the equipment. Like all YMCA's, the staff are pleasant and very helpful. I extend compliments to the staff and volunteers for the cleanliness of the facility. This YMCA does not have a 'Plus' section however the staff will provide towels if you are a plus's member from another Y. Out of town visitors like me will have to bring soap, razors etc. The lockers are free, also one can take their valuables and place in lockers on the workout floor of uncomfortable using the change room lockers.
