Negative experience: About 30% of the gyms equipment is broken no joke and the employees either barley speak english or are super overweight, go to a different gym or location

Positive experience: Been going here for years. This last year the washrooms are disgusting and the gym itself is dirty and covered in dust. Not sure if it’s new ownership or not.

Fantastic experience: A good service and especially thanks to Victor, who is always professional and provides excellent service.

Negative experience: Don’t go there if you don’t want to be harassed

Positive experience: It's small, always hot, and packed with students. They don't have much equipment, and there is no locker room, just an area with lockers. If you live close by, it could be an option. Otherwise, i would go to a different gym. If you want some space, come very early or late. From 1 a.m. to 7 a.m. is the perfect time.

Fantastic experience: Small gym but has pretty much everything you may need for your workout. I love that it’s open 24 hours so it’s also never too busy. It’s also an excellent value for your money. Victor the manager is super nice and makes registration a quick and easy process. I was in Ottawa temporarily for a few weeks for work and it was the perfect place for me to continue my workout routine!

Negative experience: They will lock you in with a membership and then tell you you can’t cancel it

Fantastic experience: I used a few gyms around, but each had some kind of restrictions ( either timing or location, etc ) . But then my friend invited me to Anytime Fitness,we had our first workout after midnight, and immediately, I signed up there. Clean and had enough workout equipment. The stuff, including management, is always present, very friendly, and helpful.

Fantastic experience: This is my preferred gym in Ottawa. It's always open 24 hours throughout the year, has clean equipment, and is conveniently located. The staff is exceptionally friendly and well-educated, with the manager, Silva, being particularly exceptional. He is constantly available to assist and provide answers to any questions.

One of the reasons why I have remained loyal to Anytime Fitness since 2019 is due to the services provided by Silva. Silva possesses a superior knowledge of his field, which ensures that he solves any issues that arise with him in an efficient manner. This gym is recommended to anyone seeking a comprehensive range of equipment, a clean and organized gym, friendly staff, and it is open 24 hours per day, all year round.

Negative experience: I made a 3 month contract with a 10 day cancellation policy. Allowing me to cancel with reimbursement!! However on the 7th day when I went to cancel my membership, I specifically spoke with the “manager” and he mentioned that I couldn’t cancel since I had a contract!! When the contract cancellation policy said that I could!! He mentioned to “sell my membership on Kijiji” how unserious and unprofessional!! I simply got up and walked out but they’ll definitely hear from me again!! Long story short, I would not recommend! Any other gym but this!!!!

Positive experience: Ich war nicht überzeugt. Es ist immer super heiß da drin, trotz laufender Klimaanlage. Außerdem gibt es nicht viele Geräte und das gesamte Gym ist sehr klein. Viele Leute haben keine Lust aufzuräumen, nachdem sie etwas benutzt haben. Über die Musik lässt sich streiten aber generell kann man hier nur früh morgens oder nachts trainieren, da man sonst sehr lange warten muss, bis ein Gerät mal frei ist.

Negative experience: Très sale. J’adore anytime fitness, mais franchement celui sur laurier n’est pas entretenu. Ça sent Mauvais quand on rentre et on voit c’est pas entretenu

Fantastic experience: Walked in 3 weeks ago after getting out of the hospital for mental health struggles and I decided that the gym is the best way to get my life back on track. I was greeted by Victor who was willing to listen to my fitness goals and set me up with a membership plan that was right for me. I also got two free training sessions in which I met with Peggae who gave me a core and chest routine which I was struggling with as someone who never stepped into a gym before. Everyone is super friendly gym goers and staff alike as if I don’t know how to do something I can easily approach someone and ask. Anytime sandyhill has become my go to escape spot and I am so grateful for it !

Fantastic experience: Clean and well-maintained location with a nice variety of equipment despite being on the smaller side in terms of square footage. Rarely have much trouble accessing the weights and machines I'm looking to work - and the equipment itself is quite modern/updated. Very friendly staff here too!

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym!! I came here for three months and never had a single complaint. It's clean, efficient, and there's a minimum of one device (usually two) for every muscle group you can train. And they play an excellent soundtrack of Noughties music!

Positive experience: Has all the basic equipment you need but is a bit pricey for the equipment. Also often crowded because of the ideal location. 24/7 gives the rating a boost.

Negative experience: Seems okay for the price, but a staff member was annoyed when I wanted to cancel my trial "because its more paperwork" and that I should have just asked "for a workout on the house" instead. It took literally less than 2 minutes to cancel my trial and get a refund on my deposit lol.

Hands-down the best gym because of the positive energy and normalcy you feel when you arrive and get to down to your workout. I say normalcy because this gym has helped me beyond words throughout this pandemic to keep healthy and active. I've been able to keep it together with like-minded health-conscious gym-goers and the energy is FANTASTIC. Great for the mind, body, and soul! You should definitely check it out!

Management is great especially during the pandemic. They actually do care about your well-being and are very supportive and easy to reach out to if you have any issues. The gym is very clean cuz every equipment is always disinfected after use. It’s a really great and respectful environment for workouts. Definitely recommend this gym if you’re in Ottawa ! and especially for uOttawa students like me the it’s a great location and is super convenient.
