Hot or cold, rain or shine, drop-in any time of the year for public skating, shinny hockey, open hockey, figure skating, or a registered learn-to-play Hockey program. With 22 indoor arena locations across the city, you and your family are just steps away from hours of activity and fun.

Drop-in skating opportunities are available year-round for members and non-members of our facilities. Helmets are not required, but are highly recommended.
Equipment not permitted during drop-in skating includes: strollers, sleds, hockey sticks, pucks, and balls. Please leave any valuables at home or lock them up at the facility where available.
Drop-in shinny opportunities are available at select facilities for “pick up” hockey. Full equipment is required, including shoulder pads, helmets and mask or visor. During the school breaks including summer, child/youth shinny is available. Adult Shinny Hockey Info and Guidelines
At the facility: Check in at the front counter, indicate you registered and you will be given a wristband with a stamp. Proceed to the arena and check in with the skate monitor who will validate your wristband before the program. All validated participants can proceed to the change room.
Member skating and shinny is included in Benefits Plus memberships. Purchase required if you are a non-member. Purchase of skating and shinny admission gains you full access to facility amenities.

Positive experience: Went for public skating and had a great experience. Good ice, good-sized locker rooms. I also watched a rec league hockey game, here. There isn't much in the way of spectator seating space, but for the few of us who were watching it was enough.

Positive experience: Newly renovated two rink facility. It has a great little food stand that has a big snacking option. Slushies, Mini donuts, popcorn, etc. There is more available seating in rink A then rink B. So if you are watching a game in rink B give yourselves plenty of time to get that prime spot or you could be standing.

Positive experience: This arena is easy to get to. There is plenty of parking and the waiting area is huge for the rinks. It would be nice though if the entrances were labeled so you know which doors to go in for which activity
Positive experience: So many people here during the free skates. Nice and big, but because there's so many people, the skating rink went dull super quick. We're not good skaters so there's a lot of crazy fast people on the rink and it's quite scary when they "cut you off" I guess lol
