Negative experience: I am extremely disappointed with the lack of transparency and proper communication at this institute. On the first day of registration, they did not inform us about crucial details regarding freezing the “boomerang.” Now, I went to request a freeze for 2 weeks and was shocked to learn that: 1. You must provide proof to freeze it. 2. The minimum freeze period is 3 weeks, not 2. These critical conditions were never mentioned upfront—they only inform you after they have trapped you into registering. The cancellation policy is even worse. If you decide to cancel after approximately 30 days of registration, you are forced to pay the remaining months all at once. There is absolutely no flexibility, transferring or way to reverse your registration. This experience has left me feeling frustrated and misled. Be % sure before registering, because once you do, there’s no undoing it. I don’t recommend the”Boomerang”, unless you are definitely sure you’ll attend !
Negative experience: Membre depuis des années, le gym se détériore et le service à la clientèle est déplorable. Le gym est de plus en plus sale et les clients ne se font pas respecter. Il faudrait prendre en considération que nous payons pour vos services. Il est primordial que les clients soient respectés, écoutés et considérés par vos employés dont ceux à la réception. Aussi d'avoir un gym et des vestiaires propres car le constat est actuellement lamentable.

Negative experience: Bad place. It is already packed and people leave the weights and équipement everywhere no respect at all. There are those lazy idiots everywhere but this place is the worst ever

Negative experience: Entreprise malhonnête suite à une promesse de résiliation sans frais si je partais à plus de 30km de la salle de sport. La seule solution proposée est de me faire payer 280$ de frais pour résilier alors qu’on m’avait dit sans frais au moment de mon renouvellement d’abonnement. À fuir si vous ne voulez pas vous sentir piéger.

Positive experience: Not the main Nautilus I go to (i go to the one near my office on weekdays usually) but I often go to this one on weekends. I must say it’s not the cleanest gym and the hours are weird- 9am is not early enough and closing at 5pm is a bit weird. It is still a nice gym and staff are usually friendly

Negative experience: The receptionist on Friday around 10am would hangs up on you as soon as you speak English. It happened to me many times with the same guy and today I am very pissed.

Negative experience: First and foremost there is no malice in any of these statements only real critiques. In a nutshell, the staff was highly disagreeable and disenchanting Which is a bummer because of how great the location and overall gear quality is. Sadly upon being greeted by seemingly pleasant staff but one of the worker has interjected any conversation I’ve had at this gym. If it weren’t for the location, tall ceilings / windows and overall cleanliness this place would be getting 0 stars. ————————————————————————— ALSO If you happen ask about the supplements they have on display you will get shut down just like I did. I asked to read the bottle and was told it didn’t have the ingredient I was looking for? I’m confused as to why they wouldn’t just let me read the label because I knew the specific substrate and judging by the looks on their faces after I said the vitamine I was looking for that they were clueless.(no I never ended up reading the bottle and I’m pretty sure it contains the substrate I’m looking for) not to mention you cannot even use the combat / conditioning room that is sitting there all day un used because you have to get a personal trainer through them to even enter, very unethical in my opinion which is why I will not get a pass here but simply drop by when I’m passing through this part of town. Fantastic experience: Un très beau gym. Je me sens très à l'aise dedans, surtout le matin. Le gym est un peu achalandé le soir de 5 à 7, mais il se vide rapidement. Il y a une variété d'appareils qui me permettent de faire mes exercices sans aucun problème. Merci aussi à l'équipe du gym.

Negative experience: They had my review wrongfully deleted so here I am again. To summarize the contracts are incredibly aggressive and will trap you into a year long subscription (literally) the gym itself is also not at all powerlifter friendly. Flooring has weird grooves which make it awkward to deadlift on. Cheap squat racks with fixed safeties (aside for one) you’re better off going to an econo or if you’re willing to spend a bit extra an anytime fitness

Negative experience: Similar experience with other comments regarding cleanliness of the gym and the clarity of their contracts. The staff are mostly nice but often gave contradictory information in my experience. And some of the staff always seemed to prioritize insisting that they were “right” instead of even trying to listen to/understand you, or assist in solving customer concerns, which ultimately came off as very rude and arrogant. I needed to cancel an annual contract due to unexpected life changes, and there was clearly a miscommunication between the expected process and the actual. I was only met with unnecessary aggression and over-defensiveness when trying to clear up the confusion. Ruined my experience in the end and would not recommend this establishment because of.

Fantastic experience: I visit the gym almost every day, the staff is nice and the gym itself is quite spacious. One of my favorite features is its elevated location with large windows, allowing for plenty of natural light. I have monthly check-ins with a coach named Gabriel, who is fantastic. Additionally, the coaches here are qualified physiotherapists. I chose this gym primarily because it's easily accessible by metro and is less crowded than other gyms I've been to

Negative experience: Used to be good, a few years ago. It changed. Gym is dirty, plain and simple. The same stains on mirrors for days, the benches smell horribly, the sauna’s smell is not tolerable. Also, lack of space and equipment. You cannot offer a promotion to which you cannot meet the demand. The weights are always not racked properly (stricter policies would be needed). There used to be staff always around the gym, now after 5PM you rarely see any staff walking around the gym. Which also doesn’t help the reracking problem. Overall, the other nautilus’s are still okay, this one though, was my favourite, and is now horrible. Tried contacting management, they told me to go through civil law contract termination, he kept defending his staff and gym instead and said the reviews are fake. He claimed that the gym is clean regardless of what a current client said. It was like talking to a wall. In business, when a customer (We were a group of 4) reports a problem that occurs after 7PM, you don’t respond with (well when IM here), you respond with proactivity. 4 old clients reporting the same problem should be concerning.

Negative experience: This is the worst gym ever. I don’t recommend it to anybody at all !!!!!and I first advise to read all reviews regarding this place!receptionists are not polite at all..some of them are so disrespectful one of them the guy insulted me, I sent an email to the Nautilus supervisor then the Nautilus place montreal trust called I explained then he said will talk with a guy and call me back after a week almost he called me back said spikecwith the disrespectful guy and he refused the he spoke with me with bad word…even didn’t offer compensation regarding this issue! They don’t care about customers and custoner satisfaction!!!! Always there is lack of machines that we have waste our times to wait for machine that somebody is working with! Even none of the machines calibrated and nobody check the machines if has any technical issues we have found out.. the place is so dirty in the lockers and washrooms .. Lack of towel papers and is unsanitary I have attached some pictures from last week…

Negative experience: Worst gym in Montreal. Always dirty. I’ve seen a mask on the floor staying there for more than 3 days. Which means that the floor was not clean during this time (imagine the rest of the gym). Paper towels and cleaning product are always missing. The staff is useless. You can ask them to refill but they will never do it.

Positive experience: Trainers push you very much to buy their programs. Nutritionist was not very useful and refused to answer my questions saying they were not to be conscerned about. Gym is also lacking a few machines and is pretty small. People there are friendly and respect the gym.

Negative experience: I don’t understand why I can’t transfer my PT sessions (which they forced me to pay to be able to resubscribe even though i did not want them anymore after covid), to another member. Customer service is very bad and it’s really annoying how they keep trying to sell you extra services. I get that they’re sales people who get commission but when someone just says no please stop pushing. Also it’s a bit expensive considering what you get. Let alone the 1 year commitment you’re forced to subscribe to.

Negative experience: I was lucky to never sign the contract with nautilus plus in Montreal. What I will say is that when I visited the gym, the sales rep was fine. She was a little insistant on personal training or having a nutritionist but that is to be expected. I wanted to sign the contract but figured I'd wait a bit because I felt something was off. I then told the sales rep I didn't have my credit card with me to shoe her off. I agreed to be called for a reminder two weeks later. They called, I did not answer the phone. They continued to call me several times weekly, sometimes daily, at random moments during the day for a full 2 months later. I also never signed up for newsletters and I was receiving emails all the time. This is unacceptable. I was never a client so they had no right to intrude my privacy like this. Their sales strategy is so off-putting. They will go to disturbing lengths to get you to sign a contract.

Malheureusement, comme il est écrit dans notre règlement (section B-3) : Nautilus Plus inc. se dégage de toute responsabilité en cas de vol ou de perte d’objets. Dans l’ensemble des succursales, des casiers de sécurité sont disponibles et les membres peuvent y déposer leurs effets personnels en respectant les consignes d’utilisation. À l’arrivée, le membre doit inscrire dans le cahier de contrôle le numéro de casier utilisé, la date, son nom et numéro de membre ainsi que l’heure d’entrée et doit garder la clef du casier que l’employé responsable lui a remis en main propre. À son départ, le membre doit inscrire l’heure de sortie et apposer sa signature confirmant son utilisation et remettre en main propre la clef du casier à l’employé responsable. Hello Omar, a subscriber (between 26 and 64 years old) who takes a 1 year membership and who comes at least once a week will pay $21.99+tx every 2 weeks. Negative experience: Gym mentions usage of face mask is mandatory but it is not enforced at all. Been here at different times of the day, all hours there are numerous people training and walking around maskless. Too concerning, I hope the government will send someone soon to audit this situation.

Positive experience: Worst service, I tried to cancel my subscription for almost a year now I called and they said they cancelled it but they didn't! and when I called again they asked me to send an email to another central and again no answer, and they are still charging me, this month they charged me TWICE! I called and they said they are employees they have no access to cancel my subscription. After the review they explain me they had a lot of request on the queue and they cancelled and appollogized, I liked, how the manager tried to fix my disappointment.

Negative experience: The gym itself is very nice, sleek, filled with equipment and the people are friendly. This is all on top of the excellent location. I have been a member for 2 of its past 4 years of operation. HOWEVER, their contract and customer service, especially in times of covid is horrendous. I have been in touch with their customer service many times about cancelling my boomerang membership because of covid and the fact that I am a healthcare worker and I don't want to endanger others, but there is no reply. When there is a reply, it is just no, or that they will extend my membership for 1 or 2 months to compensate for lockdown. What kind of logic is that?

Negative experience: I’ve been sending few emails since Covid-19 situation to ask for cancelling my membership. Unfortunately, I’ve never heard back from natilusplus which is so disappointing. I heard from so many other clients who are also unhappy with the way natilusplus treat them in this situation. Although other companies try to understand client, Natilisplus one of the unethical and worse company during this tough time. They are forcing clients to pay for nothing!!

Negative experience: Je voulais annuler mon abonnement étant donné que je ne travaille plus au centre-ville à cause de la pandémie. J’allais à ce gym puisqu’il était à côté de mon travail et qu’il n’y en a pas proche de chez moi (je n’ai pas de voiture). La personne au téléphone me mentionne qu’il n’y a pas moyen d’annuler un abonnement sauf pour raison médicale ou si je déménage à 50km d’un Nautilus Plus. Bref, c’est frustrant payer pour un service que je n’utilise plus pour des raisons qui sont hors de mon contrôle. Normalement, avec les autres gym (par exemple Énergie Cardio), il y a moyen de payer un certain montant pour mettre fin à un abonnement, mais pas chez Nautilus. Je suis obligé de payer pendant plusieurs mois encore. Nautilus pourrait être plus flexible dans des situations comme celle-ci. Bref, faite-attention si vous souhaitez annuler votre abonnement d’un an puisque c’est impossible, même en cas de pandémie.
Negative experience: I dont recommend this place, their business ethics are questionable, their sales people tell you one thing and administration tell you another. When i signed up, the trainer/sales person told me i can cancel my membership within 37 days without penalty. However the administration says i owe them a one time penalty fee for cancelling within the 37 days. And they have sticky fingers, they tried to charge my cc after i canceled, and when i reached out to them, for an explanation, there was no answer after leaving 3 messages. I finally had to have my cc company sort them out. you would expect for the super high price you pay, they would maintain their gyms.. Followup to their reply: as you can see, they are not on the ball as far as their client personal information is concerned(if your a member and your identity is stolen--id look here first). My name is not John, Smith or LI; that they are unable to find my info and call me. they want me to "talk" to them via email One of the issues i mentioned---THEY DONT CALL BACK!!!! Their tactics to show me they appreciate their patrons is hilarious. This review will stay till they make things right.

Negative experience: Apparently I was not the only one who received bad service here. Why such bad service? I had my answer today, because their director Myriam was so rude, rude tone and attitude, didn’t know what she was doing. Couldn’t help me resolve my billing problem instead gave a bad experience. How would you hire these employees who gave customers horrible service. She talked to me with an arguing tone, well I don’t owe you anything, and I am paying for everything. Unacceptable! Maybe your HR needs to see it! Hire someone who at least welcome their customers!

Fantastic experience: I would like to express my gratitude for joining Nautilus Plus and working with such wonderful staff. A few months ago, I decided to embark on a journey of weight gain, so I enrolled in a program working with Tommy (kinesiologist) and Anna (nutritionist). I keep on forgetting his name, but I believe it was Jonathan who enrolled me and took the time to explain my results and the different programs available custom for me. (Thank you for being patient with me and always saying hi). It has been about 3 months already, and I have gained 5kg. I have never seen 55kg on the scale before (always 50 ish)! I have become more consistent and conscious with my meals, I feel more energized, more concentrated, my mood has increased, I'm not cold anymore, and I feel much stronger. Tommy makes my workouts interesting and corrects my posture so I don't hurt myself and actually make it effective. I never feel bored and always look forward going for a workout thanks to him. Anna is the sweetest and most encouraging soul. She reminded me of concepts I've forgotten about and taught me new ones and put them all together in a fun and clear way. She made me discover new ingredients and recipes I can't get enough of. I couldn't haven gotten better support in this journey. I am more than glad to have them by my side. I highly recommend them to anyone! Thank you!!!! (P.S. they totally deserve a raise) P.S.S. This gym is fairly big, overall staff is lovely, but it's very packed, yet you can still access machines without too much wait.

Negative experience: This gym made the mistake of taking my new credit card number down incorrectly (by one digit) after handing it over, head office obviously then couldn’t charge it and sent a debt collection agency after me! Calling Nautilus themselves to fix that was more than half an hour on call, no apology was given and I still had to then deal with the agency myself. Complete joke. The gym itself was pretty good but given EconoFitness exists now for less than half the cost of a Nautilus, plus numerous reviews on Nautilus’ greed and my experience above I will personally boycott them and would pay more elsewhere if I have to, just to avoid this company.

Negative experience: Horrible customer service experience. We have been working out at this gym for a few months and today, my girlfriend was asked to leave the gym during her workout because a complaint was made by another woman saying: her belly botton was not covered and it's bothering me. I am shocked. The agent did not even offer that the next time she comes to the gym, she need to put on a shirt, she was litteraly asked to leave immediately if she didn't have another shirt. In our experience in different gyms in Montreal, this was the most surprising and worst workout we've ever had. They then proceeded in telling me that it is written in their policies. It did not seem to bother any of the coaches during the 3+ months we were there. I have to say, this situation could have been handled 100 different ways, but being interupted right in the middle of a set is unacceptable. I do not recommend this gym to anyone interested in finding a serious gym to workout..

Fantastic experience: Equipment: 3 squat racks, 4 flat benches, 1 inclined bench, 1 declined bench, enough space for deadlifts/rows and plenty of smith machines and equipment for isolation and body weight exercises. There is also a section dedicated for cardio/endurance training, and one for crossfit. Bumper plates are available in case you need to deadlift with competition standards ROM, or need to drop the weight on the floor during olympic lifts for example. Crowd and Cleanliness: Most of the people at this gym are working professionals, always well dressed and clean (I met plenty of great people and made good connections). Therefore the equipment and the changing rooms are always clean, and there is almost never unpleasant smell (I can't say that was the case at other gyms). Also, the gym is relatively calm. During rush hour (~4pm to 6pm), it gets a little crowded, but not enough to disturb your workout. Location: At the heart of downtown Montreal. Easily accessible through the mall. The location cannot get any better, and the view is amazing! Overall, I am very satisfied with this gym. If you are just getting started, do not feel shy or intimated to start with low weights. People at this gym would be happy to assist you if you have questions. Make some friends and get fit! Note: The only thing I wish they had is at least 1 safety rack for the bench press so that I could stop asking people to spot me.

Most staff are friendly but the manager of that gym is not so great unprofessional you can say. She never smiles. If you come after hours you'll have the gym to yourself. It's not great but it's not bad. Neutral.

Positive experience: Situé en plein centre-ville, ce centre de conditionnement physique a l'avantage d'être proche du métro. Le décor y est un peu austère, mais l'aménagement des installations est efficace à un détail près : dans la salle de cours de groupe, on gagnerait à installer les miroirs et la plate-forme contre le mur face à la porte pour profiter de la longueur de ce mur et permettre à un plus grand nombre de personnes de bien voir. Il y a une bonne pression dans les douches.

Negative experience: Late review but still need to voice it. Enrolled there in August 2017, the courses are quite ordinary on lunch time, I am not crazy about the teacher but well I paid so I go. Never really had yo wait for the treadmills. Showers are ok. In November 2017, my boyfriend got a serious car accident and stayed 4 months at the hospital and 4 months at the institute so spent my whole life there. I explained the situation to be able to put my contract on hold just for a couple of months ( my boyfriend even came in his wheelchair to prove his new situation and I was not lying) . I was not asking to cancel, just to differ for 4 months my contract. They never wanted to do anything, they refused saying that even if it was a good "excuse" they could not do everything. Useless to say this is the worst client service ever!!!!
