Fantastic experience: It’s cheap and just what I need. It’s clean, never super busy and staff and friendly. Customers seem chill and the value for the buck is amazing. I’ve heard some say they don’t have enough in free weights but that doesn’t concern me. Hardly ever wait for a machine.

Positive experience: Very good gym and I'm really appreciative of the low price point. Kind of wish there was a steam room or a sauna but that's okay. They have a good amount of machines and weights. Gun is kept very clean. I read how the one reviewer that said there was a bad smell but I haven't smelled it. Maybe it moved on to the other gym. LOL. Anyways, I digress.

Negative experience: Good options for workout machines. Terrible policy where "you're not allowed to grunt". Considering how much it costs, I intended to build strength and that entails moving considerable weight. This is not the place to go if that is your intent. I believe there is one gym that isn't so strict in Chatham.

Negative experience: PF allows you to sign up online but doesn't allow you to cancel the membership online. Plus they need 7 days' notice before monthly payments are due. If you don't have time to stop at their location then you will end up paying for another month even before month starts. I am going through their reviews and it seems like there are a lot of people affected this way. They play the ‘it’s on the agreement that you signed’ game. Their manager named Lisa tried her best not to help me.

Negative experience: Such a run around to cancel membership. Tried over phone, can't....tried via internet/email can't. Then told have to cancel within home gym. Go to home gym met by Mona. Who I tell I'd like to cancel membership, Mona says," Sorry we don't do that here". Joking or not I was already frustrated with the situation. Finally, I sign to cancel. Then get told I'm 2 days too late and they will still take a payment out. I'm a full business week ahead of the posted date yet she argues with me that they will just take me to collections.

Positive experience: Planet Fitness. Good equipment, usually clean, usually good staff. It’s a Solid 8/10

Positive experience: I grabbed a 45lbs plate n this bald idiot told me to just ask next time, cuz he was just doin drop sets nvwas gonna use em later. I didnt know that. I guess i coulda asked but i didn't want to b a burden, as i was made to feel that way before. But anyway, i hate that the squat racks are so close together, as that can cause conflict. Im no longer at planet shitness n now at healthplex

Negative experience: If I could rate less I would. Horrible customer experience. Ran but inexperienced people. They will take money as they feel fit and hide “hidden fees” from customers. Multiple people I know have been effected by this. Absolutely appalling and every chance I get to share this I will I repeat if you want to be scammed have surprise fees multiple attempts to take money from your account with zero accountability on their end. Well this is your gym. As to the staff you guys should be ashamed of how you conduct business. If you want a good gym. Fit4less or ymca is best places to start your journey. 130$ charges in a matter of two weeks or less for 16.00$ gym membership. Disgusting

Negative experience: The gym is fine although I'm not a fan of the "if you lift heavy and are in good shape you're a "lunk" narrative. Also just found out they are no longer 24 hours for half the week, but instead 10pm? Not even midnight? Do not believe I'll be sticking around this gym.

Negative experience: The Chatham pf gym is a pretty weird gym set up and so many rules which are only enforced on some members. There is zero equality at this gym. If you are really fit this gym might not be for you. It seems the people that look after themselves get more flack from the out of shape staff who know nothing about heallth or fittness, they are just cleaners. The manager, does not even workout at his own gym. He uses the gym i am now at, (which is an excellent facility) which to me is a huge sign to stay away from this gym. . The mens change room smells, there always a dirty section of floor in front of the lockers and the showers and shower curtains are well below the standard of clean. There is never any hot water. The equipment is mediocre at best. The stretching area smells like sour wet towel , that was discarded into a corner. The signage that states " Don't be a Lunk" wow now that is hate. So if you carry a big water bottle and wear a tshirt with no sleeves and you are white, you are not welcome in this gym. So either conform or be centered out and harassed by certain staff. Not much of a judgment free zone. I left after 6 months never to go back that hole in the wall again.

Negative experience: I've always loved going to the Chatham planet fitness, but I'm really ticked off that they've cut the number of and timing of the group classes. The classes were the main reason I chose this gym and now i can only attend 2 times a week. And the classes they've actually kept suddenly have non-classes scheduled in between, such as plan your program or orientation. Why would you split up a lower body class and upper body class with an orientation class?? It makes absolutely no sense unless you actually want people to leave the gym.

Fantastic experience: Exceptional facility that is a like a second home to me. The staff know me by name and offer warm greetings every time I go. Its one of the cleanest fitness gyms in town and promotes a heathy and positive atmosphere. Kind of like the show "cheers" feels like family.

Positive experience: Staff members always friendly, and i really enjoy going to this gym. Sad to see the hours are changing after finally getting into an early morning routine. I counted approximately 35-40 people working out between 5am & 6am today. Hard to believe that's not enough to be open earlier than 6am, especially when they only have 1 employee working. May have to look elsewhere to find something that works better l for myself.

Positive experience: Solid entry level, affordable gym. Has a wide variety of equipment. App is solid and above the direct competition. Could use less treadmills n replaced with more free weights. Annual fee should be eliminated as the direct competition is offering no annual fee. Weekly fee is slightly more $ than it's direct competitor.

Fantastic experience: I have only been going almost daily to the Chatham location for about a week. On my second visit, I decided to treat myself to the Black Card membership. It is definitely worth it. Having access to the Hydro massage is absolutely wonderful. I had a stroke on June 6th of this year and just completed doing my physio at the hospital today. I had made arrangements to have a fitness instructor introduce me to the exercise equipment as well as develop an exercise program to help me in my recovery. Today I met Crystal, who met with me to develop my exercise plan. She took the time to get to know my needs and to develop a fitness program to meet my specific needs. She made me feel extremely welcome and guided me through the gym, not only showing me various equipment, but showed me how to use it properly. I now have a fitness program to start me in my journey to recovery. Despite being almost 73, I was treated with undivided attention. I am always made to feel welcome by all of the staff and supported in a judgement free and inclusive environment. Thankyou Planet Fitness for providing me with a fitness plan on my journey to recovery.

Fantastic experience: This location deserves huge recognition for how well the gym is maintained. The staff are always friendly, greeting you upon entering and exiting. There is constantly a staff member cleaning machines, washrooms and change rooms. I’ve visited other locations and nothing compares to the Chatham location. Head office should be using this location to set the tone for the others.

Negative experience: This gym doesn’t allow members to stand or rest their foot on workout benches, so step ups or Bulgarian split squats are not happening, unless you want to risk getting told off. As a member, general wear and tear to the equipment is not my worry, especially considering the fees we pay to use it. Makes the company seem cheap and all about profits.

Negative experience: Well for the last almost 3 years they been taking $30 out of my account. When I joined shortly after the covid alert hit. So i never got a chance to go and they still take my money. Then I get a email from saying I owe $137.00 in NSF. Do you believe it. They take 3 years of money out of my account and I never once been there and they want me to pay $137. Really good business ppl.

Fantastic experience: First time visiting this location after a job interview, living in Belle river I commuted to Windsor daily to PF. This gym was very well maintained and fresh. Great air circulation and not stuffy atmosphere. Friendly staff and the Blackcard Area was well planned and executed. I will be going here more often when I start my new placement of work in the coming Month, Keep up the great work guys!

Fantastic experience: The location is very clean, the staff are friendly and no one bothers you while you work out. It's also rarely busy so you're always able to use any piece of equipment or have to wait long to use anything. I also like how you can scan the barcodes on equipment to watch a video of how the exercise is performed, which is pretty cool.

Negative experience: I am 17 years old black kid and I have asthma so I breathe a bit heavier than others. I thought I would like the gym due to the 24/7 hours and a good selection of equipment and the "no Judgment" policy. Instead, I was Picked out, Humiliated, and frankly judged while I trained, and my account got cancelled because of the loud-breathing policy and they told me to leave. Even though I was not intestinally trying to be loud and really no one who workout next to me had a problem except for this elderly white staff member named Tammy. I was not given any warning that my account would be cancelled they told me I had to leave and nothing I can do about it that is gonna change that. A part of me can't help but chuckle at knowing how Judgemental the staff in this gym is, I was also told there was nothing I can do to get reinstated... Anyways if you have asthma or any breathing condition like me or lift any sort of heavyweight or sprint or really even jog fast, I don't recommend this gym for you.

Fantastic experience: So these past few months I have been a member of planet fitness. During this time I have traveled all over ontario and also to a few city's in the states. This is by far the cleanest, friendliest most trustworthy gym I have ever had the please to say I am a member of. I'm not kidding about cleaning. The employees are constantly cleaning while saying hello. This gym also has everything you need to get healthy and fit. There moto is judgement free zone. Which is nice because......well let just say I am a big man just trying to lose weight and I have felt comfortable every time I have been their. Black membership is only 24.99 a month. That gets you hydromassage, tanning, training classes, an app with train classes....and so much more. This membership is changing my life.

Fantastic experience: New member, was just about joining Fit 4 Less, which I used to visit in Toronto, before we moved to the Chatham Kent area. I thought I would just stop by so I could make an informed decision. Mike (not really remember his last name) took care of me as soon as I arrived, did not have to wait for a second, literally. He gave me a great explanation in regards of the philosophy of the club "no judgement zone" and found it quite reasonable. He helped me in downloading the app into my phone, since I am not in the tech-savvy side, honestly. Mike took control of the interview quickly, in a very polite way, he gave me the the tour, providing enough information of each area, took me to the Spa, offered to try the hydromassage bed, explained all the tanning stations and precautions to be followed. We sat on the lounge, helped me in explaining hoy to sign as a member. I did not sign at the spot for different reasons, none to do with the great work Mike did, but he definitely won a new member, I signed black membership online the very next day. The deal braker in regards of my choice to sign in one gym or the other was entirely the sales efforts, Mike knows his way in the gym and knows how to deliver a sales pitch. I am very happy, I am an early bird and hit the gym around 6:00 AM, so far staff has been great and the place is sparkling clean, I do use the showers and facilities, all in good order and clean. I made the right choice, thanks Mike for presenting your product in the proper way, thanks for investing time on me. Ernesto Zoydo.
