Negative experience: Just learned a huge section of the gym will be turned into a black card only section. Equipment that used to be included will now be locked behind a paywall. Absolutely unacceptable and a complete slap in the face to the loyal members that have been here since opening day. I will be cancelling my membership.

Negative experience: I'm from brantford. Brantford's Fit4less gym is 100 times better. Sorry to say. I work in Burlington so to wait out traffic I'd try to get a workout in at the burlington location. Unfortunately, everytime I come here, there's a machine that's not working. Three of the leg machines never seem to work. Some have the pink tags and some machines don't. It becomes a session of finding which ones work or not. Waste of a good workout session. I expected this facility in Brantford not the other way around lol.

Negative experience: Just registered and got my card. I scanned the card and moved the door on the opposite way by mistake. Now the door doesn't open. And now it doesn't let me scan the card. There's a sticker that says you can scan a card every 30 mins. This is ridiculous. Now I am waiting in my car until 30 mins pass because there's no staffs. It would have been reasonable if the card could be scanned every 5 or 10 min the most. I can't even get into the gym even when I paid full year membership.

Negative experience: I don't know what idiot from Good Life corporate designed this place but they should be fired. Cannot believe it does not have water fountains, not even bottle filling stations. You must bring your own bottle and fill it in the bathrooms. How sanitary is that? Second of all the showers are absolutely ridiculous. They are in a closet with no bench, mirror, sink - you cannot shave nor comb your hair. Once you get out of the shower you are standing in a puddle of your own water so your pants and socks get soaked. I get it that this is a no-frills gym, so why even put the showers in. The least they could do is put some water dispensers. I give it two stars because they have decent equipment and it is big and roomy.
Negative experience: A friend was a member here and died. They told the family there was a 30 cancellation charge.... Cheap beyond the grave.

Positive experience: Great place to keep yourself healthy and fit. Neat and clean environment. Not too busy, get all the equipment to do the required workout. Management has made some weird changes, like 1. The memeber can not get in twice within a 30-minute period, and staff has to open the door. 2. They charge an extra $20 for the key fob, while it was free a few years ago. It should be optional for members to pick either a key fob or regular card. 3. No water fountain.

Positive experience: This gym is great, never too crowded that you can't find something to do, spacious and clean. The only problem is it takes a long while for equipment to be fixed, some machines are still down since I joined a year ago. Overall, you get what you pay for .

Negative experience: Shower temp is scalding hot and members have no ability to adjust. I've complained several times, and told that they know about the issue. But, it's been going on for months! Someone is going to get a contact burn, and sue. Please fix to avoid an expensive lawsuit.

Fantastic experience: Great gym! The team is always cleaning and very friendly! Rarely need to wait for a machine. A few of the treadmills are currently down; hopefully these get fixed soon. Great location with lots of parking. Been there for over a year now. Huge location with tons of equipment.

Positive experience: Love this gym. Tried many including LAfitness, goodlife, f45. At this gym, you may not get the huge variety of equipement but for the small amount you pay you get your basics in a very large facility, A/C is nicely refreshing when it's 40deg out. Most of the times it is not crowded, I get everything done withing 1hr...I highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I never have to wait for a cardio machine! I have been a member since December and I am completely satisfied. I would recommend this gym to anybody who is apprehensive. It's a gym for everyone who wants to exercise and be left to go at their own pace. The real life Average Joe's.

Negative experience: I've been a member at this FFL on and off over the last few years. It's cheap and the club cleanliness fee isn't super expensive... So i'll join and cancel every now and then. I recently joined for a few weeks this year while my main gym was closed for renovations and to use their tanning services for an upcoming beach vacation to get a pre-tan. I'll start with the good stuff. The pros: nice spacious gym with plenty of space to do an assortment of workouts. Plenty of flat benches and tons of plates. They have a few freedom racks, and even a classic squat rack for those who prefer it. The stretching area is very spacious too. Also lots of cardio equipment. Now the not so good... There is no water bottle refill station. Which I think is absolutely ridiculous. When I first joined a few years ago I asked a staff member where I can refill my water bottle, and they just told me to fill it up in the bathroom sink. I get it's a budget gym, but to not have a water bottle refill station is ridiculous and, honestly, seems like it should be in violation of some sort of law since it's a place for physical activity where staying hydrated is exceptionally important. Instead there's a vending machine with some muscle milk and other drinks that they hope you'll use. But there should be a refill station. It's a gym... This should be a basic given that there would be. Paper towel dispensers and hand sanitizer pumps are almost always empty. The adjustable benches here are awful too. I'm tall, and even for me they're too big and too high off the ground to use comfortably. It actually hurts when doing any sort of upright seated exercise on them since the hard seat digs into your thighs. And don't even think about tanning here. Just save yourself the trouble and go to an actual tanning salon. In order to tan you need to check in with a staff member and sign a sheet... Which is fine. But there's NEVER a staff member at the front desk. Anytime i've gone they've always had a sign up saying they're out cleaning the workout area and will "be back shortly" (this is also why they never pick up the phone if you call)... Yeah right. I've waited 40 minutes on a couple of occasions for a staff member to notice me and come to the front. I've typically had to wait 20 minutes on average for a staff member to appear. I've gone out to look for them a couple of times too, as the sign they put up also instructs, and they're nowhere to be seen. So save yourself the trouble and go to a tanning salon. Tanning here may be cheaper than at a tanning salon, but they waste your time keeping you waiting in exchange. Keep in mind too dumbbells at this gym only go up to 70 pounds. If you lift anything heavier, this isn't the gym for you. I cancelled in early April (after my main gym reopened), and they still charge you for the following 30 days even though your club access expires the following day after cancellation. So that's a total rip off. Keep that in mind when deciding to join.
Negative experience: Always has broken equipment. Both leg presses, one of the hip flexor, a few cable machines. Would be a great gym if they had better upkeep but with only 2 of each machine and one or both are broken.

Negative experience: Great gym. Spacious. But equipment takes way too long to be fixed. Currently 5 leg machines are currently broken. Would be nice if machines were fixed in a timely manner.
Fantastic experience: Love this gym! I went in to sign up and it was fast and easy. The nice new manager even gave me a complimentary gym bag. Great guy! The gym is very clean and well kept at all times. Would recommend this gym to friends, family and anyone else

Negative experience: April 22,2024. 1:10am Towel dispensers are empty ( place is dead) Garbages full.. I get it's a budget gym..you pay minimum wage probably.. but can your staff take pride and do their jobs ? Equipment needs repair like tricep machine and peck deck. Multiple treadmills turn off and on when they want Always finding garbage and paper towel on the floor. You get what you pay for I guess

Positive experience: Excellent atmosphere, perfect place for workout. I would give 5 stars but damaged equipments are not fixed within 3 days.
Negative experience: Machines take long to get fixed, and the gym is really dirty and dusty. Dirt can stay in the same place for weeks, I took this photo 4 days ago, and the floor still looks the same today. You can find spots like this everywhere around the gym.
Negative experience: Nice spacious gym but always so Dirty and Dusty! The dirt in the photo has been here for weeks. Edit- Dropped my review to one star, those previous pictures of dirt are still there. It's so disgusting, it should be a health risk having that much dust and dirt in a gym. I don't get allergies but I do there. I talked to the front desk, the guy there smelt like weed. He lied to my face and said him and his staff clean, When the dirt is all still there for weeks! It really isn't hard to sweep and mop. Ridiculous. Only a health risk when there's covid? Is that the only time people will clean?

Positive experience: The equipment is good. I like that the shower and change rooms are separate rooms for one person at a time. The only thing that they're missing is a water fountain. And I wish that they had a hip thrust machine.

Negative experience: Not a great gym in my opinion. It can have two stars because it does have a variety of machines, and the staff is friendly. My boyfriend and I went to this gym because we were in Burlington for the day. When we got there we realized there was no water fountain, and we didn’t want to buy water from the vending machine. We put our stuff in a locker and began to look around. Half the machines were out of order, and the rest were dirty. I think we walked around once looked at each other and left before even trying a machine to drive to our cities fit4less for a much better experience
Positive experience: Been coming here for about a year. The prices are affordable for a basic gym, but often times when I come to do a workout I notice that some of the weight machines are broken and they don’t have maintenance signs. So my workout ends up being shortened because some of the equipment I want to use are unavailable.
Fantastic experience: Very nice and affordable . Very larg gym that not overly full all the time so makes it easy to get in and do your full workout without having to wait for equipment

Positive experience: Nice size gym with all of the regular amenities that a fit for less has, except the black card area. The place is really dirty, the stretching mats and gym floor are white from all the salt it has from the winter. The change room benches have bum sweat marks on them.There is paper pieces all over the floor and bathroom. This site has the potential to be a 4 star gym, but because of the filth, I rate it a 3 star.
Negative experience: Used to be a decent gym, but has steadily gone downhill over the last 6 months. Cleanliness is an issue with the same garbage on the floor for days on end.

Since the last manager left the gym has been so dirty not sure if there is no cleaning crew anymore. Hopefully they get someone to clean it. Only gave it a 3 because of the lack of cleaning otherwise it would have been a 4 or 5

Negative experience: This gym is filthy. I use a few Fit4less locations and none are this gross.The floor has dust balls all over the place, especially around the cardio equipment. Not sure the if floor in the bathroom ever gets cleaned properly. It’s a shame because the layout and equipment are pretty good considering the monthly fee.

Negative experience: Just canceled my membership because of rude staff and incidents that have happened while working out. After I was told I could not cancel my membership on the phone (which I found out is not true). I went into the store and there I was told I would be charged one full payment and one half payment. After getting charged for 2 full payment I called them and found out that what they told me in store was a lie and they hung up on me right after I asked if there was anything they could do for me. Also I was told that I didn’t have access to the gym after I canceled my membership but I really had 30 days to still use it. Poor customer service!!

Fantastic experience: Lots of equipment and weights! Basic gym. Very affordable! Very clean! Very well run! Rower broke on a Friday by the time I went back on Monday it was fixed! They are on top of taking care of everything here.

Negative experience: Post CV-19 they haven't been able to keep up with maintenance. Multiple cable stations are broken and a leg extension machine has been broken for over a month. You get what you pay for I guess.

Positive experience: Decent Gym. Usually clean, lots of weights. Unfortunately because of the price it's filled with kids who just stand around and hog equipment. Also for a gym this size there's only ONE squat rack... That is ridiculous. Also the free weight section doesn't have nearly enough benches. Overall, none of these are deal breakers considering it's 2¢ shy of $14/month. Acceptable, but still frustrating.

Positive experience: Nice clean gym. The air was on during the summer. Unlike LA Fitness it is always very hot. The staff is friendly and have always had a good experience with them for over 2 years now. Tanning and massage beds and chairs are great to have!

Positive experience: The equipment I use regularly isn’t usually working properly or have rips in the padding, heart rates don’t show in some stand up bikes, no water dispensing, but it’s cheap so I guess we get what we paid for lol. Staff are always nice

Positive experience: gym is well maintained, but selection is slightly lackluster and there's no water fountain which is kinda ridiculous (and feels slightly illegal, but I guess they are able to work around that by having you get your water from the bathroom sinks).

Fantastic experience: One of the best fit-4-less locations I’ve been to. This location is full of all equipment, and there is one more fitness room you can enter, although the room doesn’t have a mirror. In addition, the place is spotless. One shortcoming is the location doesn’t have a water refill station.

Negative experience: The staff in the gym is really really rude. I went there for the first time and the staff was not ready to talk or discuss how to proceed further. The person at the front desk was really rude. The staff at a place represents the atmosphere there and I definitely won’t decide to go to a gym where the staff the people are this unwelcoming. Ding expected this from Fit4less. Disappointed!
Fantastic experience: I love this location. It’s clean and the staff are friendly. The showers are especially clean and this location doesn’t get very busy so there’s no long waits for any machines or equipment. The best Fit4Less location out of the ones I’ve visited (Mississauga, Milton, Toronto).

Positive experience: I've enjoyed my workouts at this location. Very clean and there is a good selection of equipment. Ideal time is around noon since evenings can get pretty crowded. Edit: Removed 1 star since there's no bottle filling station

Negative experience: The gym was good but cant really understood how they could forget a water dispensing fountain. I had to buy a water bottle from the machine in order to hydrate myself...I mean it is a gym and I believe a water fountain is one of the more important things.

Negative experience: Below is my original review. In the last 6 months, whether it's new ownership or different staff, the cleanliness has steadily declined. Frequently there are: paper towels on the gym floor, hair and dusty footprints on the mats, empty paper towel dispensers (one once in a while I get, but 3 at a time?), hairballs in the change rooms as well as literal garbage, dust caked on all surfaces in bathroom, and more. Super disappointing considering what this place used to be. I've been a member for years and I'm at the point where I'm looking at other gyms. Hope they turn it around. Went today at 830am and wasn't busy. Max 20 people including staff (capacity is 75). Nobody within 10ft of me at any time. Had to fill out an online form saying I was covid-free, then enter and show my vaccine passport + ID. Gym is clean and machines are roped off to ensure distancing. Friendly staff, well lit and ventilated. Wish they had a more hand sanitizing stations throughout though.

Positive experience: Gym is clean and has what you need to get a good pump, but as others have said the customer service is poor. I see the staff clean the gym between each session appointments but getting a hold of them is challenging. On top of that, the website is also poor, booking appointments, at least in my experience and a few others I know, does not work. Lastly other gyms I know of don't require you to book appointments anymore yet they still are, quite a nuisance. But as I said before, gym is nice and never too crowded, has everything you need.
Fantastic experience: This is the great location and safe space to workout in. The staff works really hard to keep us safe. Always cleaning, putting things back to where they belong, organizing and walking around to make sure everyone's following the rules. Props to this location keep up the good work.

Negative experience: I understand this is a budget value gym but the customer service is poor. Overall the gym is clean. Anytime I've ever seen a staff member they're usually in the back office texting or avoiding customers.
Positive experience: Staff can't be bothered to learn some common human dignity and speak politely to any of the gym goers. But at this price point, it's a whatever.

Negative experience: I'm sure there's value somewhere here, but this review is an indictment of the so-called manager at the Fit4Less Burlington location, not a view on other staff and potential services. I obtained a membership for my 16 year-old son several months ago, but since that time (C-19 shut-down notwithstanding) there has been no chance of securing a workout timeslot. Up until 2 days ago, the reservation system only opened at midnight, thus all timeslots were quickly booked by night owls. Ironic, given it's a business which focuses on health, incentivizing people to compete at midnight for timeslots. In any event, due to this frustration, I spoke with the manager to cancel the membership and requested a refund for the initiation and monthly fees paid since November. The response: a flat "NO". In addition to not empathizing with the situation she repeatedly referred me to the "contract" that my son signed, stating that fees had to be paid. Apparently, it was lost on her that a contract requires performance for the service provider as well, and to the extent these services are not made available, then that's a breach by Fit4Less, not by the customer who actually held up his end of the contract by making the payments. Despite the logic, there was no flexibility. The point here is that there's a right way and a wrong way to deal with these issues and ameliorate a situation. If one is a "manager", then one is required to manage, which includes finding reasonable accommodation when warranted, based on the facts. If handled correctly, then a good chance to "wow" the patron and enable future business. This won't be happening. A disappointing experience.
