Negative experience: Charges you extra money out of no where & the staff is rude. Take your money elsewhere for a better gym cause they charge you more than 16$ anyway.

Fantastic experience: Went to planet fitness this morning and had Jace sign me in he was super helpful :)!

Fantastic experience: Planet fitness is the best bang for your buck regarding gyms. But keeping that in mind, it is a public gym so... You will be dealing with the public. Sometimes the "crowd meter" feels deceiving but that likely just means there are more people in the part of the gym you want to use. Always clean and maintained. Staff are friendly and professional.

Fantastic experience: First time being to the Sarnia location. The front desk staff was very friendly and were happy to assist showing me where the amenities were. Very clean facility with a lot of natural light coming in from the huge bay of windows, which made it easier on the eyes. Other members were very friendly and helpful in pointing me in the direction of specific equipment, especially after seeing me look like a lost child in the middle of the gym floor. Excited to make this a regular stop when I'm in the area for work.

Negative experience: What a joke this gym is. Get reprimanded for the tiniest of grunts. They change their fees. I was told when I cancelled membership for the summer that I could sign back back no problem. Now an extra $50 fee. Feel lied to. Won’t be returning.

Negative experience: I’ve been going to planet fitness for years and have always had great experiences with the staff.. up until a young lady who goes by the name of Mimi was at the front desk. She gave me loads of attitude when it came to scanning my QR code. The look of disgust she gave and the “UGH” along with the eye roll. Acting like it was such an inconvenience for her to simply do her job. I’ve also heard from my husband that the men’s bathroom is NEVER clean. He has informed me that he found feces on the floor. This is unacceptable, I hope they find better staff in the future. Not that it matters because I will not be returning ever again! Membership is already cancelled.

Positive experience: This is a very convenient and great Planet Fitness location in the uptown core of Sarnia. The 24-hour access with showers and lockers makes it super convenient for fitting in a workout in your busy day. The staff are all pleasant and helpful as well. There are plenty of weight machines and free weights for a wide array of workout regimes. Sometimes, they have decent music playing in the background, which is nice when you're trying to disconnect from your phone and ear buds. I just wish they did play more music consistently for better workout ambiance!

Positive experience: Nice equipment. Systematic working but I was surprised that in whole of Gym you can't weigh yourself.

The staff members and the regional manager, Hiba were always available and ready to assist with any questions or concerns. Their friendly and supportive nature created a welcoming atmosphere that made my workout experience enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend Planet Fitness.

Fantastic experience: I am really liking it so far and to get back into things! I liked the workout plan that was drawn up I'm going to be starting it soon and all the different machines makes some of the workouts I had issue with mostly the abdominal exercises alot easier to do! I think this will help me greatly and the prices are very reasonable it's a good clean atmosphere with very kind employees!

Positive experience: Would be a 5 if there were more than 1 pec fly rear delt machine, I spend more time waiting for it to be available than I do actually using it. There should be 2-3 of those machines rather than one. Other than that I would recommend

Positive experience: I've always had a good experience until tonight when I came in at 11:00pm for my daily visit and had a kinda weird experience with who I assume was the "big" manager because she wasn't wearing a uniform and was in and out of the office on the computer that I never see any workers in by the tanning beds. She seemed to be in her early-mid 50s and had short brown and blonde hair and glasses. Anyways, she I guess had said hi to me when I came to the desk, but she was talking to workers and what she said didn't sound like hi so I obviously didn't respond and continued to ask one of the younger workers if I could go for a tan. She then comes back with a rude "OK then". Made eye contact with the other worker and he was weirded out by it too. I was gonna say oh sorry, I wasn't sure if you were talking to me, but after that comment I decided not too. Really does show what kind of person that lady is when the one time I've ever seen her there I have a bad experience. I really feel managers and especially high-up managers should have the utmost respect for their membership holders and obviously be able to maintain a higher level of maturity. Because I certainly didn't ask for Or deserve that.

Fantastic experience: I've had a lot of gym memberships and PF is unmatched in terms of value for $ spent. Yes I do sacrifice the free weights for more machines, A LOT more machines, but that's ok. Doing away with some cardio machines and adding more free weights would be a huge improvement. The black card is a must with tanning, red light therapy, and hydro massage. The tanning alone is cheaper than having a package at a local tanning salon, the gym access is a bonus. The price is a fraction of the other gyms. Multi city access which is super convenient when traveling. I'd totally do away with the purple and yellow theme though. The fitness app is unmatched with workouts included as well as the crowd meter. Staff is always friendly and helpful, so nice to have a human present at all times instead of a turnstyle and scanner. PF is NOT for large men in string muscle shirts staring at themselves in the mirror every rep, and that's amazing!! My wife and I have been going to PF for some time now and we absolutely love it, we hope it's around for a long time! Thank you PF, keep up the great work, but plz change the purple and yellow!

Positive experience: I like the atmosphere people don't judge me there. Would like to see some beginner fitness classes at the gym, like yoga, as I might switch to new gym as they are offering

Negative experience: Over populated. Crowd meter always shows wrong numbers

Negative experience: You guys were my save space for a workout But your new employees are just awkward man. They stare and laugh and you can make out that he's speaking about you especially the guy in the reception with the long hair. I hate to name call a particular employee and I'd rather no one is accused as the wrong person can get blamed but man People have their own insecurities I may be paranoid but sometimes its just obvious.

Fantastic experience: Tammy is wonderful and very welcoming. She is always cheerful and makes me feel like keeping it up and wanting to come back every day . The atmosphere and no judgements are great.

Negative experience: It used to be a fun and welcoming environment but I feel like the new management is making it an awkward environment. My usual favourite staff who are normally here are now being replaced I guess. I came in and two women were just standing there awkwardly like I interrupted their conversation, one was older and it was super weird. All the younger guys are cheerful and proactive and seem to love their job more.

Negative experience: Worst customer service experience at the front desk Sarnia location. Was going to sign up and was turned away at the front door. Would not recommend this gym.

Positive experience: Could be 5 star but I feel like the amount of cardio machines is extreme. During peak periods it’s hard to find a cable machine to use or even a bench to use for free weights. Great gym overall, really clean and staff has always been great. The spa is also a must have for those pre workout massages.

Fantastic experience: They’ve been so great. Super flexible with me while I’ve had to freeze my membership to be able to care for my mom 24/7. Clean facilities. Friendly and warm staff. Can’t wait to come back!

Negative experience: I’m re doing this after 6 months as things have really changed. Great concept and pricing. However the balance of equipment to cardio machines is way off. To add to the issue they have a summer promotion that offered free membership to highschool students…. Don’t get me wrong, great initiative — but an already limited amount of weight equipment is basically unavailable during hours I can make it. Crowd meter doesn’t help as it has no idea whether people are there for weights or cardio. If crunch ever opens I’ll likely try that right away.

Fantastic experience: I'm new to this gym and after losing 140 pounds I needed to go and get in shape. My dad (73yrs old) works out regularly at Planet Fitness Sarnia. He actually convinced me to give it a try. Told me that its a zero judgement zone. So I took the leap! I have felt comfortable every time I go! Thank you for having great staff (Tammy on midnights is an angel!) I have no anxiety at anytime. Great place to go for beginners or those who are nervous about being judged. Love this place!

Fantastic experience: This is my absolute favourite location to work out!! I am from London Ontario so that is my home gym. I travel often and have been to several locations but I will drive over an hour to come here for the experience of pleasant staff, clean environment and friendly welcoming people, no judgement! Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, always clean!

Positive experience: The place is always clean, and there's a good variety of equipment to use. However, it always feels overcrowded at peak hours. It can sometimes be difficult to use the equipment that you want when it's busy. Luckily, I can get in during the off hours most times. The biggest problem for me is that the "crowd meter" in the Planet Fitness app always shows one or two out of ten bars. When it shows 3/10 bars, it already feels far too crowded, I can't imagine what 10/10 is supposed to imply.

Negative experience: The staff are incredibly rude. Today my boyfriend was spotting me at the gym and a staff member yelled at us claiming we were being “inappropriate” and if we continue we would be banned from the gym. So unprofessional. It was very activating.

The gym is always clean and organized, and never too crowded. There is also a wide variety of machines and equipment to use.

Fantastic experience: What I like the most about my Planet Fitness experience is that positive environment surrounding the gyms atmosphere. Many people feel uncomfortable or are scared to start working ou in gyms and I think that Planet Fitness' motto of not judging anyone makes for it to be a really great space for people to come into and start their fitness journey.

Positive experience: Just joined and so far so good. The counter staff rarely leave and walk around to check for empty paper towels or stuff on the floor. The men's showers have mold and haven't had a good cleaning in a long time. Machines are clean and well maintained. Nice setup and lots of various equipment.

Fantastic experience: I've had a membership here for close to a year now, the first gym I've signed up with. The gym is always clean, equipment always working well, staff is always very friendly as well, and overall nice environment. I also love the blackcard perks like hydromassage and bringing a +1 whenever I want (there's tanning too but I don't ever use). It does not have a free barbell only smith machines but that doesn't bother me personally.

Fantastic experience: I love my membership with the planet fitness near me. I have had the pleasure of being helped twice by Holly an amazing you woman who knows her stuff for sure. I work out everyday at 3 am, perfect for me not a lot of traffic at that hour.

Fantastic experience: Been coming here several weeks now, the staff are super friendly and laid back. They let 2 of my guests use the massage area just to try and see if they like it. Tons of machines and weights to use. Staff always going around cleaning , even the majority of the customers seem to wipe down the machines afterwards. The massage chairs are amazing and worth the cost of the black card. They also have the cleanest public washroom I've ever been in. Not once have I ever been grossed out walking in there.

Fantastic experience: love this place . have been here many times and they have complied with All protocalls set out during covid to the absolute best of their ability. constantly the staff are cleaning and making sure all customers are also complying. The supervisor (Mandy) is one of the friendliest and most tolerant people ever. she was addressing concerns of a some customers when I was there and the one was being extremely rude and she stayed very calm and direct with him.Its very difficult these days to get good employess and yours deserve a big part on the back especially Mandy. Good job people I recomend your bussiness to everyone I know, gym was clean as anything best in town.
