Negative experience: Planet Fitness is terrible. They have cameras in their suntanning beds, which they use to secretly watch people tan. This is very disturbing. I read about it online. Additionally, they overcharge their members every month. When you try to cancel your membership and change your bank card number because they continually take money out of your account for your membership, they still find a way to take your money. They are thieves who rip people off.

Positive experience: Good place. And great monthly price, I have the black card and love I can bring a guest always and whenever. I can use my card anywhere and in the states which is so helpful when travelling. I wish they’d add some more cable machines that the only have one of. As it’s a waiting game some days and it’s rather a pain when you’re in a time crunch.

Negative experience: To anyone who sees this review I just have a few things to say. I went there probably about a year ago just in-between times of me finding a new gym. The equipment was ok and the gym itself wasn't very clean even with the staff doing the occasional cleaning. Also, when I was there machines were out of order or had wear and tear the whole time I was there and didn't see a maintenance team I ever saw and I went at different times of the day. Also, the staff wasn't very kind I had brought a friend with me as a guest multiple times and the staff was always pretty judgemental, I would hear them laughing, staring and just talking under their breath not such a "judgement free" place. Just by far one of the least pleasant gyms and experiences I have had over the last few years and definitely one of the most disappointing gyms I have been too.

Positive experience: Just joined a week ago and I love it so far. Good price, great machines, loving the hydro massage bed. Staff seems to be friendly enough. The only thing that would make this location better is if they had some sort of class.

I started coming as a guest on my friend’s black card and eventually got my own due to how much I loved it. Never once have I ever felt discouraged or judged by anyone here. It’s been awesome and I highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I joined with my co worker in november and it was great knowing you can tan and get waterbed massages here for after your hard work in the gym. We then invited our other co worker here as well and now we are 3 months in strong. It is a great way to release all the extra energy after work especially because there is a 2nd wind after work.

Negative experience: I've been a member at Planet Fitness in Chilliwack since December 2022. Initially, I was drawn to the gym because of its "Judgement Free Zone" policy, but my recent experiences have caused me to reevaluate that opinion. For the past six months, I've not been able to visit the gym due to work commitments, which has unfortunately also impacted my health, leading to a gout flare-up. If you've ever experienced gout, you'll know how debilitating it can be—I can't even wear shoes due to the pain. Recently, I decided to return to the gym to help manage my condition. Sweating can help flush out some of the urea that contributes to gout. I arrived in sandals that don't aggravate my big toe, intending to use only upper body cardio equipment to minimize any perceived issue with my footwear. Despite this and the fact that the gym was far from crowded—it was Sunday at noon—I was denied entry after explaining my situation. This rigid enforcement goes against what I understood to be the principle behind the "Judgement Free Zone" slogan—making accommodations and not judging individuals for their unique circumstances or needs. Instead of being accommodating or attempting to understand my situation, I was turned away, leading me to feel judged and unwelcome. Disheartened, I felt I had no choice but to cancel my membership. To add fuel to the fire, I was charged $26 today, even after my cancellation. While I understand that rules are in place for a reason, there should be room for flexibility, especially for those who genuinely need accommodations. In the end, the gym's rules were upheld, but not the principles behind their "Judgement Free Zone" slogan. I'm disappointed to say that what I once considered a supportive environment has proven to be far from it. I'm relieved to have left this toxic place, but the additional charge after cancellation just deepens my dissatisfaction.

Negative experience: Why is the summer club pass for 14-19 years old when it is meant for high school students? A 13 year old can be in grade 9 and a 14 year old can be from grade 8 so it makes no sense. Instead of age they should base it off grades.

Fantastic experience: MARK & KIRAN-You Guys are awsum.I have Black Card membership with planet fitness past 6months just moved here in Chilliwack and this location is also very good. Clean and Hygenic.Equipments are very good and user friendly. Best part about this gym is Hydro massage bed and Massage Chair.Recently reffered to 3 of my family members and one of them joined today. Thank You Guys for treating everyone with Your heart❤️.

Fantastic experience: Great deal for the black card monthly pass. Includes tanning, hydro massage, and massage chairs. You can usually find equipment available for workouts. It's a little harder at peak times. The staff are always pleasant, and friendly.

Negative experience: This gym wants your money and doesn't actually care about you improving or seeing meaningful success with your goals

Fantastic experience: I love this gym. The staffs are very nice and friendly especially Mark, he always have a smile on his face and always helpful. I can tell that he works hard too as he is always doing stuff. One time I even saw him fixing one of the exercise machines. Way to go Mark, always going the extra mile. The place is so clean too.

Negative experience: The club has really gone down-hill in the past six months. Staff mostly visit with each other behind the front desk and aren't interested in keeping the facility clean. The cleanliness of the facility has gone down-hill. Also, getting out of your contract is a nightmare.

Positive experience: Decent facility and staff. The only downside is, sometimes they close early - or for entire days - but don’t update their online hours to reflect this. Planet Fitness, all I’m asking is that you post to your google page or Facebook or something to clarify what times you’ll be closed. Going to the gym on a Monday night is all fun and games until you realize the gym is closed without warning. Now imagine if you took pre-workout… By all means, run your business as you see fit. But on behalf of the Planet Fitness community, I think it’d be awesome if we were kept in the loop regarding maintenance hours and early closing times.
