Negative experience: J’ai voulu venir m’entraîner avec un ami( j’ai un abonnement platine) au coût de 25 $ ( assez cher pour un entraînement) et la fille me dit qu’il a pas le droit de prendre sa douche à se prix lol elle me dit j’ai juste à aller ailleurs… service désagréable

Negative experience: je ne comprend pas pourquoi vous nous oubliger à ramener deux souliers moi je viens en voiture mes souliers sont propre c'est quoi ce règlement qui n'a pas de sens on m'a empêcher de rentré je me suis déplacé pour rien je paye à l'année pour un service pareille

Negative experience: This dude suposetely work there but he wasnt receptive/helpfull to do me the favour of changing my membership to regular; he also dont wear uniform to flirt with girls (he was flirting with me when the only thing i wanted was changing my plan; buddy youre not as handsome as u think and we dont go with you we like but because we cant do this on our own and there.are not self service machines yet) he doesnt do actually his job, rushed me telling me i can help u but ill be here just a few mins, i finish my workout after 2 hrs he still on the desk i even lose my electronic card by wondering with they dont wanna attend members? (he was alone we i ask him the other girl waant there yet)i felt nobody could asist me with anything, i ask the girl if they could ask the cleaning staff that if they find my e-card return it reception she reply there are not many chances, how comes? If is not posible it be useful to other memebers due its Linked my profile; literally for this folk i even lose my e-card, and when i told him ill review this on Google he challenge me saying "do it" with a big smile on his face; if someone help me finding my key card i might change my review. UPDATE: they cancel my membership and since this complain here i only receive orders asking me to remove my opinion, never nothing about they found my card or nothing just the order of delete the photo, no more comments just screenshoots.

Negative experience: I would encourage everyone to avoid this gym, their policies and cleanliness leave a lot to be desired. Today the gym employee HUMILIATED my girlfriend and ASKED HER TO LEAVE. My girlfriend was wearing black Nike tights, which she has worn this exact pair countless times to this exact gym without issue. Today the employee approached her and asked to speak to her, informed her that her tights were see through and her underwear was visible and making other patrons uncomfortable… Which THEY ARE NOT see through, they are standard Nike exercise tights. The gym was practically empty and she is incredibly prudish, not the type that would wear offensive or provocative clothing. The employee then asked another complete stranger to check the visibility of my girlfriend’s clothings and undergarments, completely humiliating her and making her uncomfortable and embarrassed. So Nike clothing is unacceptable? Meanwhile at their Atwater location they have 60 year old men dressed as 8 year old girls complete with leotards and hair clips but Nike tights are too much??? I am not here to shame anyone else, but I have seen countless women wearing far more risqué clothing without any issues. They have made the gym feel like an unsafe space for her. She was not working out glutes or legs which is neither here nor there, she was working out her back. She did say that the employee seemed remorseful, but that does not justify objectifying my girlfriend and asking a complete stranger to judge whether her attire was inappropriate.

Positive experience: Based on the pricing (only 32$ per month for platinum membership) , the gym offers a clean and well-maintained environment, equipped with a variety of devices to meet different fitness needs. Particularly noteworthy is the VIP section, exclusively available to those who purchase a platinum membership.

Fantastic experience: Amazing gym. The staff is soooo nice and helpful. The manager welcomes everyone personally and always smiling. They have great machines. The place is always clean. I’ve been coming here for years. definitely recommend!

Negative experience: Again no one here to open the gym. Been waiting for an hour. There’s no one to contact. Happens regularly. Waste of time.

Positive experience: The gym is well equiped however it is for the third time we arrive at 6 am and there is no one to open for us, the doors are locked and people are frustrated waiting on the other side. This is unacceptable!!! If you cannot deliver the promise of opening at 6 then do not advertise it and promise your members. Please find a solution ASAP Thanks,

Negative experience: No scale (done to protect the mental health of the customers, but any customer obsessing over a scale should avoid the gym as they need a different service, like a psychologist; said with love). Weights never in the right place and half the men with no towels, which is partially a question of the users of this gym being selfish, but also the fault of the managers for not having enough staff to enforce the towel rules, put the weights back where they belong, and be at the front desk. Gym users occupying more than machine at a time is also annoying, which, again, more staff could help control.

Fantastic experience: The facility is nice and well-maintained, and the staff is very friendly. During rush hour, the gym can get quite busy, but outside of those times, it's a pleasant and agreeable place to train. One of the standout features is how clean the place is kept.

Positive experience: This branch is not the one you want to see in it! It's always more than 90% guys, especially my dear‍fellas. So, should you be looking for some motivation, go find another branch

Fantastic experience: It’s a good place where you can do a good workout thanks to the variety of machines. The staff is very friendly and available to help you. However it would be nice if the people who train there, are a bit more organized and put back what they use (meaning the dumbells, the plates, the bars, the barbell clips, etc.) at the right place. That’s a simple and easy gym rule to follow, isn’t it?! ‍♂️ For some of us who work, our workout time is limited. It’s annoying to spend 2 minutes to look for the equipment you need, that someone left somewhere in the gym.

Negative experience: mécontentement concernant la propreté des installations des toilettes et des douches En tant que membre fidèle de Econofitness depuis longtemps pour vous faire part de mon mécont entement relatif à la propreté des installations de votre établissement. En effet, lors de mes dernières visites, j'ai constaté que les standards de propreté que j'ai toujours appréciés dans votre salle de gym n'étaient malheureusement plus respectés.les douches sont très sales Cette situation est préoccupante non seulement en termes de confort, mais également en ce qui concerne l'hygiène et la santé des membres. Il est essentiel que les espaces communs tels que les salles de sport maintiennent un niveau élevé de propreté pour garantir un environnement sain et accueillant. Je suis convaincu que vous comprendrez l'importance de cette question et prendrez les mesures nécessaires pour remédier à cette situation dans les plus brefs délais. Une salle de gym propre est indispensable pour que nous, les membres, puissions poursuivre nos activités physiques dans des conditions optimales.

Positive experience: This gym is pretty good, wish it was 24/7 though. The main issues are with the members; most don’t bring a personal towel (gross) and during spring/summer, they don’t even change their shoes when entering the gym.

Positive experience: Friendly staff, clean, nice equipment, and good locker area. My only problem is with the stretch and warmup area, which is inconveniently located at the entrance of the equipment area where a lot of people pass by and also it's not spacious enough. Overall, it's a great gym with good prices.

Fantastic experience: I love this gym. It is very clean. I go in the mornings and it is not full. The equipment is well maintained and I have never seen a machine out of service. The staff is very friendly. They also have 2 hydrobeds and 5 massage chairs for those muscle aches and cramps. They also offer 2 tanning rooms.

Negative experience: In all fairness, it is a nice gym. They have all the equipments a gym needs and it is usually very clean. The problem is the horrible customer service. I am not sure if they lack the basic skills or proper training, but for sure, they do not know what they are doing and should not be in a position of dealing with humans. With the right customer service, it is a great gym.

Fantastic experience: Great gym. It's fairly big and clean. I usually go at opening hours so it isn't extremely crowded. Even if it is, it's pretty spread out so I don't think it would be a problem!

Negative experience: Disorganised, missing accessories, manager need to be doing regular rounds checking on equipment and whats missing, and actually replacing what’a broken.

Positive experience: Big & nice gym at low price. However, DISGUSTINGLY humid in winter. EDIT: 3 stars due to the horrible new gym layout, despite them having figured out their A/C issue I mentionned above. Never seen renovations made to worsen the space.

Positive experience: Dumbells are always in complete disorder, which was not the case before the renovations. I don't think it's only the gym's fault tho. People don't make the effort to put things back where they should be often times. Also, they advertised that by september, the gym would be open 24/7, but that still has not happened. Perhaps, they have their reasons, but at the end of the day, they didn't deliver on their promise.

Negative experience: I wish I could give 0 stars. I Was told the gym would become open 24h in a matter of weeks, so I signed up. It never happened, in the summer it has terrible ventilation, and you can’t cancel without getting charged. Staff treated my terribly as well, trying to gaslight me into thinking it was my fault.

Negative experience: Leg extension machine has been broken since June. For the whole gym they have only one. Gym was much better before renovation. Now it’s sucks!

Fantastic experience: Nothing to say, and my wallet is more than happy. Clean, lot of choice of machines, not overcrowded when I go, lots of cardio machines. Overall really great deal. Other training centers in Montreal usually 5-10 times more expansive should be ashamed.

Fantastic experience: Moved here from NYC 1 year ago. Joined Econofitness about à month ago & I’m VERY HAPPY that I joined. The staff is great- very helpful & friendly. It’s clean & well-maintained. All the equipment works well, and the other members are terrific - courteous, friendly & helpful if you need to see how something works etc. Highly recommend THIS Econofitness.

Negative experience: After putting up with months and months of a small temporary room to train in while the gym was being renovated (while being charged full price) we now get a new location with machines that have been broken for months in a over crowded gym. What are we paying for ???

Positive experience: It would be nice if everyone would have a towel, wear their shoes, and remove their weight plates after they are done. Unfortunately, the majority doesn't ‍♂️

Negative experience: As far as I know, it's been 4 weeks since the Leg Extention has been broken. And they only have one of those machines, which is already a big mistake considering the size of the gym and the amount of people working out there. Same thing for the Pack Deck machine, they only have one and it was broken the last time I tried to use it. These machines are very important! It's very disrespectful! The machines look fragile and the ergonomics are not good. Try to fit into the abductor machine and you'll know what I mean. Even the elliptical is strange, as it forces the user to try to synchronize the movement of the heel. For those who already have knee problems like me, it's complicated. (so I'm doing ellipticals at my building's gym which is better) I wouldn't sign up to this gym right now, or at least not to this location.

Negative experience: The change to the gym is very good. It’s bit spacious now however the machines that break stay broken for long time and no repair is done. For some time there was quick repairs however after that good time repairs are never done. They used to have 2 leg extension and once gym space was changed, they reduced it to 1 and now that 1 is broken. It’s been a while that machine has not been repaired. Please upgrade this things like you upgraded the space.

Negative experience: Most useless staff I’ve ever seen. The guys working weekends are polite and helpful, but the girls working during the week are a completely different story. I went to renew my member and the one working that day wasn’t able to do it because she was having her lunch at the welcome desk. My second attempt was when 2 girls were at the desk.. they told me to do it myself at the computers located in front of them. I went with them to save time and just pass my cc, but they were too busy talking about their weekend.. I think having a robot at the entrance would cost less labour cost and an everyday smile to every single gym member. Floor is always dirty with a lot of dust and hair. I survived the gym’s remodelling period, but they must improve their customer service.

Negative experience: This gym has a very manipulative pricing scheme and I cannot recommend it to anyone trying to find a gym

Negative experience: Not “econo” anymore, almost $40/month for gyms that doesn’t worth that. Plenty similar options at a lower price in town.

Fantastic experience: Pretty good

Negative experience: Do yourself a favor and go find another gym. I just canceled my membership. Considering its central location, the gym is always packed with McGill students and downtown employees. They did a horrible renovation to the gym which resulted in reducing the space and number of machines. Now the gym is always packed, no matter what time of the day, and u literally have to wait in line waiting to get a turn to use a machine. I see COVID coming back to this gym soon.

Negative experience: Less equipment compared to the previous layout, now they have as well a "platinum zone" with some exclusive equipment there , which you have to pay extra , not cool at all.

Negative experience: If you ever wondered how does it feel to train in a prison’s gym, come to this place. They installed a high fence from wall to wall in the middle of gym and made a human cage. There’s no music, it’s crowded and it reminds me a scene of Prison break. Disgusting and disappointing.

Positive experience: I used to go to the gym on Viger street until it closed down and switched to this gym..I had to cancel because the construction was horrible Does anyone know when it will be ready?

Negative experience: Got a membership to this gym as a cheap alternative as my partner lives and works in montreal and I visit on the weekends. The past few months this place has been under construction and it is terrible. No mirrors, sawdust everywhere as you work out, only 1 squat rack for a busy gym… just terrible. They did not offer any discount to patrons or close the gym during the renovation period. The people at the front desk are kind and good workers but this place is terrible. They at for at said it would be finished for Jan 1… now end of Feb… will believe it when I see it. I know they are renovating to make it better but I refuse to keep paying for a membership at a gym that treats patrons so poorly. Am cancelling my membership and finding an alternative.

Negative experience: Welcome to *Combat Gym* Yes - no bathrooms except in mall - how does that work when the mall bathrooms are closed?? 1 change closet for Everyone - like being on a ship - and one lifebelt - for everyone - at one time - share nice. Maybe construction finished in March? You can always go to Alexis Neon or Berri ... or (Google to find one even further from where you live for convenience). No water fountain .. just saying. Knowledge is to be aware of the facts and thus be forwarned. Econo - don't reply with an appoligy- just do better with clear messaging before people are entering or travelling to this location.

Negative experience: I agree with the other recent comment. This gym should be temporarily closed instead of staying open and misleading people paying 40$ a month to a gym split in half with no washrooms, and limited equipment having to walk outside of one construction room for weights to another inside the mall just to go on the treadmill not to mention the two showers that I found full of hair. I understand that the original gym is under construction but then just temporarily shut it down rather than have customers having to deal w these conditions..??

Negative experience: This place should be closed! It is literally a construction site with gym equipment. The “gym” has no working toilets. Members have to use the toilets in the mall. The are plastic drop cloths hanging from the ceiling and the ventilation is questionable!

Fantastic experience: Very functional and convenient. I usually go to Econo in Berri uqam but I saw this one is expanding! I wonder when it will be completed and I will be there permanently:)

Fantastic experience: Je suis un membre depuis plusieurs années et je peux vous assurer que tout le staff est agréable, accueillant et toujours prêt à vous aider. Dernièrement, un membre a été résilié; n’étant pas content il a invité les gens à mettre du spam négatif à chaque 5 minutes. Faites une visite par vous-même pour constater que c’est un gym propre… belle ambiance… accueillant… grand… etc. C’est mon gym depuis 5 ans et j’adore!

Negative experience: an absolute sauna in there. the AC doesnt work, or barely works. No need to work out to build up a sweat, just walk in and youll be dripping. besides that, its an average econo, but the temperature gives it a 1 star

Positive experience: I have been coming to this gym for about 2 and a half years, since before the upgraded new location. Equipment is decent, location is great, it isn’t the perfect gym by all means, but there is significant improvement over time. Honorable mention to the Staff they are kind and helpful, honorable mention to Alexandra and her excellent service

Positive experience: Pas terrible, le chemin d'accès est pas mal perturbant. Je me suis perdu dans le centre Eaton avant de demander mon chemin mais j'imagine que c'est plus Maps qui est en faute la dessus. Sinon il manque d'une ventilation dans ce gym : il fait pas frais et ça sent la sueur ! Et comme les autres gyms, la serviette et le nettoyage des machines reste pas mal optionnel pour la plupart des usagers malgré que ce soit marqué à l'entrée que c'est obligatoire... Bref je ne pense pas y retourner de sitôt

Positive experience: The Atwater gym is a block from my home and I much prefer going to this one. The only downsides are that it closes earlier and like someone mentioned, the ventilation doesn’t seem to work

Fantastic experience: Gyms finally reopened and Econofitness welcomes all their clients with taking all COVID-19 precautions. Also, maintaining the hygiene environment necessary and 6-feet social distancing with hand sanitizers all over the gym.

Negative experience: Worst customer service I've experienced,they switched off the showers whilst I was in the middle of a shower,and this was 10 minutes before closing time,which I was unaware of otherwise I would not have gone in the shower, and there were people still on the floor working out. I told the guy who was working there that evening that I was still showering and he says "well dry yourself off and leave",mind you I was covered in foam when he was telling me this. If I cancelled my membership today without paying the cancellation fee,that employee is to blame

Fantastic experience: When I am writing this review, it has been 1 years that I have been training in here. If you wonder, yes I am still training here and my contract still have a year more in it. Overall enough equipment for all body part, you will have two bench presses , two double cable machine, two leg extention, two free weight squat rack. The rest, gym only has one each. Full compacity at evening and night. You should go very early or around noon is perfect so you dont have to wait to use your machine rotation. Clean enough, many lockers, has water fountain, changing room, shower, clothes hanger etc. Just a normal econofitnes gym I guess. The only special is it is in the mall where you can go shopping right after you train or you can do it before, up to your mood.

Positive experience: its quite small if you compare to some other econo, plus what annoying about it is the fact that despite taking an appointment you can wait in line by the door for 30/40 min.. so one person comes out one goes in type thing.. so don't drink your pre workout on your way there you might waste some of it.. besides that the selling is pretty low so once you doing something bench wise the light blinds you.. but if there is no other option its still a gym and still does the job.. so its ok..
