Toprock Climbing

Fantastic experience: I loved my first experience. I went two days ago and my forearms/fingers are completely destroyed!!! Once they recuperate, im going back tomorrow and trying again. I can feel myself becoming addicted to it ahahah. Thanks Patrick for the guide & thanks to all the patrons of the gym who were super helpful/friendly and allowed me to navigate the space without any judgement. It's a great place for beginners like me but also for really good climbers as well - there are some boulders i could never imagine myself being able to do. maybe in a couple years, lol. thanks TopRock! I wanted to return the day after but I should give my forearms a break.

Positive experience: Came here for a free climbing event. Located in a plaza, it’s probably the smallest climbing gym I’ve ever been to. The grading system uses colors which I’m not used to. It was fun. It was quite cramped during the event though.

Fantastic experience: Love it here, the staff and owners and so helpful and friendly. They’ve got different routes for everyone’s difficulty level. From beginner to expert. If you’re an expert no worries, they have fun challenges with 3 rounds, making the climb more challenging and exhilarating! They’re quick to give tips or encouragement. It feels super welcoming and homey with a lot of fun climbs involved! The picture attached is from the free climb wall. They have bouldering as well!

Fantastic experience: Their staff was friendly and informative about rockclimbing ! We went before 5pm so it wasn't too busy. Their drop-in special was a great deal with the shoes + harness + safety lesson included. I will definitely come back again (..after my arms stop feeling like jelly)

Positive experience: It's a nice quaint gym. Much smaller than its competitors. They have bouldering and 4 auto belay walls. Staff is friendly and helpful. We went on a weekend and it was completely dead... Just the way I like it. Weekday evenings is chaos apparently...

Fantastic experience: Toprock is a fantastic gym, one of my favs. Setting is consistently good (new sets on Wednesdays), great variety of wall angles, but what sets this gym apart from any other is the strong sense of community. All the members and staff are extremely friendly. I would offer six stars if that were an option. There are also fun events occasionally, like fun competitions or guest set nights, run club Wednesday evenings when the weather permits.

Fantastic experience: I’m new to the world of climbing but what I do know is that Toprock is what every business should strive to create. It’s clearly a space focused on community. In the three weeks I have been going there I have yet to meet anyone that wasn’t helpful, supportive, or encouraging in some way. The owners and staff are all friendly and welcoming which I think rubs off on everyone else. The gym itself is a pleasant gym. It’s clean, spacious, and well lit. Again, new to climbing so I can’t speak to the standard of what should be offered in that setting but from my early perspective it has everything I could ask for. If you’re looking to get into a physical activity centered around challenging yourself, I couldn’t recommend Toprock more.

Fantastic experience: It's a nice little gem in brampton. Clean, spacious and welcoming. The staff is very friendly and even called back when they missed my phone call. I know it seems like a small gesture but most places do not do this!! I believe his name was Trevor and he was very nice on the phone and nice in person to my husband and little one. Definitely will be back!

Fantastic experience: Facility is clean and well-kept. Hosted an 8 year old's birthday party and the staff was wonderful dealing with the kids. Kept them entertained and having fun. Staff helped to set up and clean up afterwards. Very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended.

Whether you are an expert or beginner level, you will find something to suit your needs :) i recommend and their prices and options were great too. I took my brother for the first time and he fell in love with it and wants to continue bouldering and climbing! will be back.

Fantastic experience: Had the pleasure of visiting this place and climbing here today and I’ve never done this kind of climbing! The staff was awesome (Mikayla at the front desk was extremely sweet shoutout to her), as well as the safety guide instructor he was awesome! The different rock climbing levels range from medium to very difficult, snd there is very positive energy here and enjoyable challenges! I recommend to everyone whether it’s your first time climbing or if you’re an avid climber!

Fantastic experience: Small but friendly gym. Features a comp wall, 3 auto-belay, a small workout area and a kilter type board.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I enjoyed climbing here for the first time, and would highly recommend this community! We tried all the auto belay options and also appreciated the wide variety of bouldering—the levels of climb are diverse, so there really is something for everyone! I especially liked the seating areas throughout the space. It’s a relaxed and friendly environment. Super clean space. Warm and welcoming staff. I would not hesitate to come back here and will be encouraging my west end friends to come here.

Fantastic experience: This gym has the most friendly community in the gta. trevor is such a great dude and made my friends and I feel welcomed. the sets and moonboard were 5 star. this place feels more than just a gym to climb in - it also felt like a nice place to hangout in. unmatched enviornment! XXL good times. (ps; kush is THE dude. also made us feel welcomed and we had a great session as well!)

Fantastic experience: We checked out Toprock today, a quiet Thursday night. Greeted pleasantly by the staff, Went through the standard bouldering gym first visit safety brief. Spacious gym with a good variety of climbs. I’m an intermediate level climber V4-V5 flash grade. Found the problems really fun and diverse. No grades on the climbs just marked with tape. Overall great way to spend our Thursday night. Not busy like most gyms and just an all around good atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: What a fun time my son had at Toprock Climbing for his birthday party! I want to say that Michelle and Kush were excellent birthday hosts who were constantly engaged with the kids, helping those that never climbed before, and pumping up the climbers with no fear! They offered climbing games and by the end, every child was climbing even the few that were very hesitant from lack of experience. Thanks so much Michelle and Kush for your time with the little ones and your energy!

Fantastic experience: Thank you!!! Took my son and nephew yesterday and they had a blast. The staff was fantastic. Very helpful and took the time to ensure the kids understood what they needed to do. Special mention to Mikayla who was extremely friendly and polite and always had a smile on her face while answering 50 questions. Nice to see friendly, helpful and a courteous staff. Everyone there was positive and very encouraging to the kids. Will definitely be back.

Fantastic experience: Our first time at a Rock climbing centre and we absolutely loved it! We took the package which included introductory lesson and rentals. The staffs were extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience: Toprock is such a great place to climb. All the staff are super friendly and the gym is always clean. The gym has new climbing sets every week so there is also always something to look forward to. I would recommend this gym to anyone who wants to try bouldering/climbing for the first time.

Fantastic experience: Shout out to toprock for setting some of the funnest boulders. The community here is solid. Many friendly locals that pretty much dap you up for every attempt. The staff was also knowledgeable, especially pat. Would recommend the visit for first timers and even seasoned climbers.

Fantastic experience: Toprock has a great community, it's a small gym that has creative climbs and super supportive members/staff. I took some adult classes a couple months back and the instructor Kevin was knowledgeable, patient and able to cater to the strengths of everyone in the class. I really enjoyed the classes! I'd definitely recommend this gym to anyone curious about climbing and experienced climbers alike!

Fantastic experience: The community here makes this gym a wonderful hidden gem in Brampton, it has some amazing bouldering and literally every person is so friendly and helpful. People will always help you figure out a climb especially when you are new to the gym, and even more so when you become a regular!!! My family comes here often and we love this place so dearly! Shout out to the amazing staff and owners who really go the extra mile to make everyone's experience memorable

Fantastic experience: This is an amazing gym - the atmosphere is incredibly welcoming - especially to new climbers like myself and family. We go as a family several times a week to exercise, spend time with each other and meet new people. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Great service at the front desk and easy to navigate through the courses. The climbing is not harness based but there are harnesses in the back. Went on the weekend and it wasn't super busy.

Positive experience: Very friendly staff brought my 2 daughter 6yrs and 3yrs both had a blast. Staff was very informative and helpful helping us first time climbers have some fun and get rid of a little energy the kids went to bed early happy daddy highly recommended even if you have never climbed.

The staff are warm, inviting, and always willing to help you with questions, or route tips. Highly recommend this place, whether you are new to climbing, or advanced!

Fantastic experience: Hands down one of the best climbing gyms out there. All their climbs are extremely fun ye challenging and the grading system feels on point. They could v-scale their color code, starting at v0... and it match extremely well. Pinks felt like v3s and reds like v4s. On top of that, it very consistent. This would be a near perfect review if not for 2 small things: their paper towel dispenser/garbage is lacking and they're missing a set of 35 bench weights. Fix those 2 things and it's perfect! At one point i was the only one in the gym (although i was told it was rare). Would highly recommend a visit.

Positive experience: Turns out I'm not really into climbing! But I would still highly recommend to anyone who enjoys this type of physical activity. I brought my son and his friend for his birthday and they really enjoyed it. Lots of climbing options and a work out corner ad well. Great for a solo a tivity or family adventure

Fantastic experience: We had a children’s birthday party at TopRock and it was amazing. The staff were so friendly and helpful, they were great with the kids. There was a table to set up some snacks and cake. The facility was clean and well kept. I would highly recommend holding a party here for anyone!

Negative experience: From walking in and literally jumping with joy too walking out devastated. I was told my child would not be permitted to climb the rope wall by a very mean parent and her group. A staff person matched the parents ugly nature by initially ignoring us then shortly after reiterating her statement. Who knows maybe she owns the place. Yes I called ahead and yes i spoke with someone once I arrived. Where I was told we had every right to climb with the other people there. I asked for a refund and left. I ended up taking my child to Hub Climbing in Mississauga. Had a phenomenal time. And would recommend first time climbs or people who haven't been climbing in a while to go there. At least there I was welcomed by great crowd, walls, and service.

Fantastic experience: OMG BEST CLIMBING GYM EVER, Staff 10/10 Climbers/community 10/10 Fair Grading 10/10 Routes 10/10 EVERYTHING 10/10 I got to meet the owner Trevor and he was really nice, I hope to see him again at future comps and stuff. The staff were so nice, I liked how they go up to climbers and ask how it’s going if they need help. Micheal the staff was amazing he helped me with a climb, gave me some tips. I like all the types of climbs, there’s some that are comp style which is what I’m practicing more, there more static climbs and the staff even help if your looked for a type of climb, like me for example I was looking for comp style. OVERALL BEST GYM EVER

Fantastic experience: Good variety of courses, with 5 auto-belays with 3 courses each if you want to do some wall climbing too. Great staff who want you to have a good time, whether you are a beginner or an expert, they have the knowledge to teach or help you with anything.

Fantastic experience: Been here twice and both times were great. The staff are nice and the place, despite being full of climbing pros, still has a welcoming atmosphere. They've also got a bike rack!

Fantastic experience: Very friendly atmosphere, wide variety of climbs, nice location. Compared to other gyms there is a lot of natural lighting which is always nice. For extra fun come on Wednesdays when they have a fun elimination event and update some climbs!

Fantastic experience: Friendly encouraging community environment with very helpful staff associates. Had a great time and will be going back soon! The walls go from easy to a very difficult challenge and are colour codes based on their difficulty. There's a work out station with grip boards as well.

Fantastic experience: Was there yesterday with my 6yo daughter and we had such fun. The staff were so nice, patient and respectful. We are already planning our next visit.

Fantastic experience: This is our first time visiting that rock climbing place. From the start to finish, it is extremely organized. I appreciate that they have a website where we can sign our waiver form online to speed up the process and they have it in our system (very beneficial especially if during peak hours) Noah and Mikayka (staff members) who were there has been extremely friendly, respectful and engaging as if they are our actual friends hanging out with us and giving us a tour. The regulars who were there gave us tips on how to accomplish during bouldering. I can feel that there is a sense of community who are good people and genuine to help us achieve together. I’m extremely surprised that this place is full of open minded people. The rock climbing with the rope and harness and the bouldering has been nothing but fun for photo taking. Thank you to the staff, and regulars for welcoming us and giving us a positive experience. 5/5.

Fantastic experience: Such a great place! We brought kids and some adults, most of whom have never climbed. Everyone had a great time. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. Great teachers too for the novice climbers. Couldn’t get the kids to leave, they loved it so much! We would definitely come back. Great family activity, especially for those cold or gloomy days.

Fantastic experience: This is a simple and small gym, mainly bouldering. But the owners and climbers are super down to earth and friendly. It’s getting many people involved who have never climbed before and come from Brampton’s diverse ethnicities. It’s becoming a small community in an otherwise very rushed world.

Fantastic experience: This is a resourceful place for people and the troops on how to train for outdoor survival skills.

Fantastic experience: After trying out a few climbing gyms and with the recommendation of those in the climbing community, we found our home at Toprock. My daughter and I became Toprock members in December, and more recently, my husband decided to join in on the fun. The little one started her kid’s classes, and I joined the adult beginner classes, and it’s been the best investment through our climbing journey. Great climbing and even better people. The community here is incredible, and staff and members all want you to succeed and have a wonderful experience. We feel fortunate to be welcomed into the Toprock community and tell all our friends to join. Highly recommend! I can’t wait for kids camps to start again… wink wink p.s. Shoutout to ALL the incredible staff members but especially to those we see all the time including Patrick, Noah, Christina, Tre & Stacey. Thank you for always welcoming us and assisting whenever needed. You rock!

The atmosphere at this place is awesome, everyone is super nice and very friendly. There's lots of kids, young people, and always awesome music. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to try something new and challenging. They also often have really good specials on, so always keep your eyes open for packages and things like that :)

Fantastic experience: It's a must visit if you're an avid bouldering fan! They have a great community of people, and the owners are passionate and genuine about bouldering/rock climbing. It's unfortunate that they had to close due to the lockdown.
