Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, clean gym, well equipped with plenty of squat racks and weights. Not very crowded on the weekend and Monday morning I was there.

Negative experience: *Hidden $200 cancelation fee* EXTREMELY dishonest staff. I explicitly asked them before signing up if there would be cancellation fees (because I knew I would cancel prematurely), and they told me “no fees!”. Turns out I have to pay $200 for cancellation regardless of how many months I’ve paid. I’m actually not the only person this has happened to after reading other reviews. On top of this, if you want to cancel, you have to submit an application, and await a phone call from one of their managers. Ridiculous.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had an amazing experience with my personal trainer, coach Boniface, he is absolutely fantastic. He’s always full of energy and has such a positive attitude that it makes every session enjoyable. His knowledge and expertise are clear in the way he tailors the workouts to my goals, and he’s great at motivating me to push past my limits. I genuinely look forward to our sessions, as they’re not only effective but also a lot of fun. Highly recommend this gym and coach Boniface to anyone looking to get serious about their fitness journey!

Fantastic experience: Today was my first time at world gym in Montreal. My first interaction was with Kim who was amazing and attentive at the membership desk. This aline made me want to join. The gym was clean and on another level with the most up to date equipment. Before joining any other gym this a must to check out. Fantastic experience: I’ve been training with Jacky for almost 8 months and I can’t believe how my body changed. She is one of the best trainer I’ve ever seen. She helped me to strengthen my shoulder which was my weakest part of my body and gain more insight about the exercises. I miss training with her

Fantastic experience: I can’t thank this person enough, I’ve recently gone through a complete new life journey and I’ve had a vision in which direction I wanted it to go. Starting with a good healthy life style and I found JACKIE along the way. shes got the best positive attitude and is so knowledgable in what she does. This girl is the best of the best. its hard to find someone that fits and gets you and she gets it and all. This little human has honestly in a way saved me and has helped me with my self confidence because of my appearance. Getting into the shape I want, learning how to eat healthy and be disciplined. This girl kicks my butt every session and I sometimes get frustrated but I wouldn’t have it any other way. She’s really such an amazing coach who is there for her clients day in and day out. She checks in on you to make sure youre following your plan and even finds solutions to make it more fit your life style. im glad that we got matched because i dont know what i would do without her.

Negative experience: There is a $170+tax ($201) cancellation fee. I was not told about this verbally. Instead it was buried in their contract. They charge you this fee regardless of how many months are left on your contract. They make it a point to not tell you about the cancellation fee when you are signing up - others have complained about this in the reviews and elsewhere online as well.

Fantastic experience: As someone who struggled with my gym routine, getting coaching support from this program has made all the difference to transition to a full body workout regularly. Coach Jacky has helped me immensely to focus on shaping my technique 1 step at a time and pacing to a higher level sequentially. Great energy boost despite my challenges, love the various circuits included each session. With consistent training this year, she has really eased my way to go further than I could on my own! Super grateful for being recommended to World Gym randomly by a friend, with Jacky’s influence been able to keep making steady improvements, gain strength and avoid injuries considering my limitations (spine/ joints). Appreciate the welcoming team it’s been overall just what I needed, a healthier experience and new motivation for weight lifting & fitspin on-the-go :)

Fantastic experience: I had been taking Jacky’s total body sculpt class and was loving it . I had been wanting to take on a personal trainer for a while but didn’t feel comfortable. I decided to give Jacky a try (since I loved her group class) and do not regret my choice :) definitely recommend

Positive experience: Overall it’s got everything you need - I’m a Vip member at another WG and come here 3 times a week with my work schedule and it’s clean, and the people are quite polite and nice - only thing, one half of only wide the cable machine has been out of order for 3 weeks - that should be fixed within a week - need more of those -

Positive experience: Nice gym but I wish the owners would buy better benches. Many don’t lie flat so people jam weights in them to make them flat, which is so dangerous. Come on. Leaving this review so hopefully the owners take action.

Fantastic experience: At first I was ready rate this place at like a 3 for the fact that there is no basic plan available, seems small for a gym in Montreal could be crowded at all times, I felt like the staff wouldn't be very helpful as I've experienced in the past. However, after going a few times my viewpoint changed. A lot of machines are available at your disposition, AC seemed to work just fine, environment is clean, having VIP isn't all that bad as you have access to classes without any extra signup and surprisingly so, Staff was helpful to comply with an issue of mine. For context I misread something while signing up to the gym as a student and pretty much flushed 90$ out of the drain. When I reached out to them they said they could credit me if I sent proof of attending school which is wonderful thing to hear. I like the place and the people, its quite nice :))

Fantastic experience: I mean, it's your regular gym! It's nice and clean. I like it. No creepy people! Tends to be busy on rush hours though, that's the only thing. But if you're planning on going at odd hours,v it's a great option

Negative experience: Terrible gym policy! Even with health issues and pregnancy, they refuse to terminate the contract and continue to charge fees! They don't accommodate at all; they only care about money. Awful gym, awful people, awful attitude. I do not recommend it.

Fantastic experience: The gym has improved a lot in the past few months. They ordered a bunch of new weights, cleanliness is better, lockers have been replaced and the AC works. Negative experience: I’m not going to add to the other issues other members mentioned like the ACs etc. What about the internet? There’s absolutely NO network coverage in the gym, and their wifi is horrendous. You can get a wifi internet speed of 3 gigabyte for 100 dollars a month nowadays in Griffintown! This can cover hundreds of people at the same time! It doesn’t make any sense! It’s 2024, we all need internet to send emails, do some work while training or doing some cardio. It’s a very easy fix! Nonetheless, you enter the gym, you’re disconnected from the outer world. And again, I DON’T WANT TO USE THE WIFI, but THERE’S ZERO NETWORK COVERAGE. So i cannot even use my cell network inside the gym.

Negative experience: UPDATE: DO NOT GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION TO WORLD GYM! They charged my card and I was able to dispute it and get refunded, I had to change my credit card out and somehow they are able to charge the new card because it's considered an active subscription. Through Mastercard they are able to get your updated card and keep charging you. Just save yourself the headache and don't give them your credit card. .................................. Unfortunately, I have to agree with the reviews that speak to the gym having poor practices when it comes to cancelations and charging you whenever they feel like. I cancelled my PT sessions within the allowed period, in person. I brought in that yellow paper they ask you to fill out to cancel the sessions and the gentlemen at the desk told me all he had to do was submit a request to head office and they would cancel. This was the beginning of April. He assured me all would be cancelled after I insisted he take the cancellation form I filled out. Now, almost 2 months later, I was charged $500 for these sessions out of nowhere. I contacted the club (because I have since left Quebec) and someone assured me that a manager would call me to sort this out with a few hours. I called back twice and was assured I would get a call back. On my final callback I was told the manager has left for the day and won't be back until Monday. Called again today and was told the manager would call me back and the person I spoke to didn't even ask who I was or get my name and number. I had to ask her to take down my details. I asked for a contact for head office and apparently that doesn't exist either. I'm starting to realize the manager has no intention to contact me and I'll need to file a dispute with my credit card company for the charge and potentially get a new credit card to avoid them charging me randomly. I'm going to also have to file a dispute with the BBB because I have all of this documented. Moral of the story: Be careful giving your credit card or banking information to these gym franchises.

Negative experience: My experience at World's Gym Griffintown was terrible; I received a surprise $5000 debt two years after canceling my personal training sessions within the grace period, with no prior notice. The gym showed no accountability, only reducing the debt after I sent a formal dispute notice.
