Negative experience: It's a great gym. There's no Water fountain. Very strange considering most Fit4less locations have. The lighting is very poor, specially in Black card room. I hope the owners pay better attention. Overall had a great experience.

Positive experience: 4 for the price. Cheapest membership near Markham Richmond hill. Con is some equipment if under maintenance takes a month to repair and if you go during busy hours forget getting any equipment. Early birds will enjoy.

Negative experience: They are in very desperate need for new equipment, Rope pulls, and bars that have exceeded their life span totally worn out. Short by one Lat Pull Down Cable setup as the only one they have is over occupied and doesn't suffice. They also don't keep this location very clean or organized. It's an extremely busy and needs additional cleaning staff immediately for equipment and general sanitations.

Positive experience: Good for the price but i didn't see a water fountain and showers are closed early at least leave one which works because the disabled one has no water coming.

Negative experience: People can weirdly stare at you. I don't know why. No good vibes.

Positive experience: Been the go-to gym for the past couple years. Nothing spectacular, quite small but has everything you'd need. Plenty treadmills and elliptical but free weight section gets quite packed on week nights so I'd recommend going during the day if you can. Fairly clean and respectful staff and customers. Wish there was a water fountain and larger black membership area.

Fantastic experience: The person I spoke with today (Sept 12th @2:52pm) was such a pleasant person. I wish staff at other locations could be as friendly as she was.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this gym for the past few months, the gym is unique in that it offers memberships at reasonable prices, making fitness very affordable. The facility keeps incredibly clean and organized equipment. The gym's Blackzone area gives black card members some privacy during workouts, which is one of its best features. This private area is ideal for members looking for a more concentrated and customized workout. All of the staff members are always welcoming and helpful, creating a great atmosphere for all members. Overall, the gym is great for anyone looking into working out. My only complain would be that I wish there were less treadmills and more machines.

Negative experience: Gym floor is dirty, plates all over the floors, bathrooms don't have toilet paper, equipment is great, have not been able to use showers because the 7am staff do not show up on time ever and think it's ok to be late and don't care to fix it

Fantastic experience: If you’re looking to join an affordable gym with great air conditioning, spacious with high ceilings and natural lighting then this is the place for you!! I’ve been coming to this Fit4less location for sometime now and I’ve seen it’s ups and downs however, for the past 2 months I’ve witnessed some really positive changes. The facility has gotten a lot cleaner and the staff is always making sure the gym is clean. Equipment is being repaired faster! I heard they got a new manager running the place. So kudos to the new manager and the team!! *They’ve also recently added two brand new stair masters as well which is a huge game changer!

Positive experience: Its my first day and i purchased the black card so that i use the hydro Massage and the tanning machine! But i only attend at night and those services are not open after the front desk hours ! They should’ve work the same way as the black membership room … !! I will change it back to basic membership till they make 24/7 service for Tanning and Hydro-Massage available…

Fantastic experience: Pretty decent gym, clean and most people clean their equipment after using. Not broken machines at the time of this review. Decent amount of equipment but during peak hours you'll definitely be waiting to use what you want. Tons of treadmills though. No free bar with rack in the normal area but black zone area has two free bar bells with racks. Dumbell weights go up to 80 in the normal zone and 100 in the black zone. Black zone area only has cable machine, dumbbells up to 100 and two racks, two free barbells, a yoga ball. Probably not worth for most people, but if you like privacy then it's nice to have (although you're not getting privacy either way during peak hours as black zone area is usually fully occupied at those times) Not sure about washrooms, never used it. There are lockers, need to bring your own lock.

Fantastic experience: Contrary to some reviews online, I found that the gym was actually clean, with plenty of paper towel and spray to wipe down the equipment with. Staff are also friendly as well. The dirtiness that some customers that were talking about were likely from the winter months when people would wear their outdoor winter boots into the gym and leave salt/snow residue all over the ground (there is a sign to not wear outdoor shoes in now). This location isn't the largest location out there, but is certainly not small either. In the busier hours you might need to wait a bit for certain machines but I didn't find that to be much of a problem

Fantastic experience: This gym is overall a great space for Me to workout. Daniel especially is always so helpful and informative and I appreciate his excellent customer services skills as well as how kind and helpful he is

Positive experience: Been going to this gym for about a year and a half. I really like it for its price. I have the black card membership and the black card room has squat racks, dumbbells, benches and a cable machine. No hack squat, pendulum, or standing calf raise machine tho. But it has a leg press machine and basically 90% of all the equipment you would need for a commercial gym. Sometimes machines are broken for a few days (specifically the leg extension machine) but they have 2 of them so I always use the other one. When I joined, they didn’t have wifi but now they do, phew. Would give 5 stars if it had a water fountain. EDIT: Just found out that other Fit4Less locations in Toronto have a hack squat, glute drive, and standing calf raise machine. Hoping that one day this location can upgrade to have these machines.

Negative experience: No water fountain, 1 lat bar, kinda small location tbh, you get what you pay for though so can't expect much, but man the minimum a gym should have is a water fountain

Negative experience: Hard to clean equipment when the staff fails to refill the paper towel, not to mention hide on every shift in the back room….. worst fit for less I’ve been too

Positive experience: Big clean good equipment. Has showers, lockers and change rooms. Free plaza parking and WiFi. No water fountain. Hot as hell.

Positive experience: You get what you pay for. Overall not a bad gym, but when any peice of equipment is broken it takes forever to be fixed. They're constantly running out paper towel to clean the equipment.

Negative experience: I would give a zero if it was possible. Washrooms are always dirty, change rooms are never cleaned. Sanitizing spray and paper towels are constantly empty. Cardio machines, especially treadmills have constant breakdowns. A couple of machines in particular breakdown monthly. Unfortunately, the membership prices are always going up but the quality of the service, cleanliness and equipment reliability has gone downhill! Not sure why I keep getting emails asking to upgrade my membership?

Fantastic experience: Easier access Clean Spacious Friendly environment Will go again this Sunday for my 2nd visit!

Positive experience: Equipments worth for the price but will need a bit more cleaning, especially in the washroom.

Negative experience: I am disappointed to report that the machine has been out of service for over a month, and despite this, it has not been repaired. This has been a source of frustration as there is only one machine available for use.

Negative experience: Machines are always broken for so long without any maintenance or repairs (sometimes for weeks or even a month). Since there are only a limited number of similar machines, when one of them is broken you simply can't workout the body part you want to workout. If there's a fit4less somewhere else and it's closer to you I suggest going to that one instead of this location.

Negative experience: I've never been to a dirtier fit for 4 less. I've been 2 at least 8 different locations. The built up gunk all around the free weights is laughable. Disappointing for sure.

Negative experience: I walked in to purchase an annual membership. I rang the doorbell and this Asian fellow comes to me and stands in front of the rotating door. I asked him if I could come inside. He said no, then he asked if I wanted a membership. I said yes but that speaking to him like that was awkward. He pointed to the machine behind me and said I can register through there. I was so dumbfounded I walked out. All I wanted was to speak to someone, ask a few questions, see the facility but I was denied the opportunity.

Negative experience: I have been going to this gym for many years and it used to be a great gym. For the past approximately two months, it has gone down hill. The floors are so filthy, there are never paper towels in the paper towel dispensers, all the equipment is all over the place. You cannot sit down/kneel/or put a bag down on the ground without picking up so much dust and dirt from the dirty floors. If they do not restart maintaining this gym, I will unfortunately have to look for a new gym to go to.

Negative experience: Not bad so far. Bathrooms have been disgusting on almost every occasion. No visible staff during operating hours on a few occasions. Cleanliness so far has been the greatest deficit.

Positive experience: Equipment very good but no water machine to drink

Negative experience: I was looking for a new gym to go to, and I thought maybe this one might be a good fit for me however, after reading all of the negative reviews recently especially about broken down equipment and no customer service. This is a dealbreaker for me. There is zero reason why equipment should be down for more than two weeks, especially considering the recurring revenue that a club like this would be making. They should have no problem getting a technician out to fix the machines and have everybody happy once again . If I was a customer of this location, I would be looking elsewhere, especially if the machines are down for so long and that’s part of my routine . The other thing that bothers me is the fact that they want people who have a complaint to DM on social media as this way the Google algorithm does not change.

Positive experience: Good gym but very dirty!

Fantastic experience: Professional, clean, cheaper and well kept unlike their *cough* lousy neighbour. Good amenities and open 24/7.

Positive experience: Gym is cheap to go to. 24 hours which is nice, just a key card entry at night. Overall cleanliness of the gym is pretty good on the floor but the washroom is pretty rank at night with no staff in the building. There is an old yoga room that they changed into a new workout room and put it behind the black card membership and while that seems kinda scummy I like that the room is not usually that busy at night and it's all brand-new equipment in there. Also in general there is alot of wasted space and some new variety of machines could be added instead of things that don't get used or empty floor space such as, more benches for bench press, a hack squat machine or another cable machine that can be used for seated rows and lat pull downs etc.

Negative experience: Both leg machines have problems and no one cares. Just their charge your bank account

Negative experience: No customer service, waiting for 30 minutes to do a massage chair and no one shows up in the front office, very poor customer service and knock on the door still no one shows up

Negative experience: Dirty, no soap in the bathrooms, broken equipment. They have taken reducing labour to a nonexistent level. Pay a little bit more across the street at the competitor and get a much better experience.

Negative experience: - Machines are constantly broken, and take up to a month to be fixed e.g, there’s 2 leg extension machines, the one that actually provides a full ROM is the one that’s always broken. I once tried to tell the manager that it broke and he was trying to blame me for it. He seemed more so annoyed at me rather than happy that he was alerted - not like he’d see it sitting in the office - Some weight selections on machines get jammed, seems like they don’t keep up w/ regular maintenance of the machines considering how often they break/squeak/jam and how dusty the floor around them is - Weights are rarely cleaned up or in the spot they should be, sometimes I walk to the other side of the gym to find a certain plate Overall, for the cost and for how often they threaten to raise prices with their “lock your rate in” scam, I would say its worth paying more per month elsewhere.

Negative experience: Can you add the black card workout area's a rubber cushion to protect your ground as well as avoid slip? Now your ground is slippery

Fantastic experience: Giving 5 stars because this location is never crowded, at least in the morning hours. But they don’t have additional barbells unlike Fit4less (bridlewood) etc. Always have to take barbell from bench press or T-Bar for deadlifts.

Positive experience: Machine maintenance is little slow , I have seen a machine sitting broken for 3 weeks without getting fixed . Still hasn't.. Overall, it is fine fitness center , there are "rush hour times" if you go during their rush hour times, there is a little space to even breathe inside . I prefer going late night or early morning, depending on my working schedule. I suggest going those times unless you wanna check other dudes muscle process

Fantastic experience: Best fit4less I’ve been to and we’ll worth the price you pay since you’re getting all the regular machines + free weights and free bar squat racks if you’re a black card member. About a third of the space is dedicated to cardio machines and they also have other amenities like massage chairs and tanning beds if you need.

Positive experience: Fabulous and especially so that there are a lot of paper towels and disinfectant bottles to wash down machines. The disinfectant, however, needs to be evident in the bottle because with no odor coming from the bottle and constant appearance of it being water, it appears Fit 4 Less isn't keeping its patrons healthy.

Negative experience: I joined fit4less to mostly use the massage/tanning beds. 9:15am today I go to use massage bed and no one is on location so I am unable to use it. This has happened multiple times and it’s always during business hours.

Fantastic experience: Good equipment for the price, equipment gets repaired within reasonable time and staff is helpful. Only thing it needs is a water fountain.

Positive experience: This Fit for Less is not a clean gym. No one cleans the gym on a regular basis. No one ever empties the garbage bins or cleans the rest rooms. There is paper towel all over the restroom floors and there paper towel all over the gym floor. The main entry was is seldomly cleaned. The carpets are covered in salt for people coming into the gym. The employees sit at the front desk and do nothing. It’s embarrassing coming into this gym

Negative experience: Staff doesn't show up for those that need to shower before work. Happened twice within a week

Positive experience: This is a decent place and okay for the price. The size is small so it gets crowded easily during the rush hours.

Fantastic experience: I am extremely satisfied Fit4Less customer at this Woodbine Hwy7 location. I am writing to compliment staff, Sebastian. He answered my call when I called the Fit4Less helpline. He took my issue seriously, and resolved in a professional and in a timely manner. I felt he took my problem as if the problem was his own. (Or what we called "Taking Ownership of the matter" in my line of work) He turned my situation from frustrated to joy. His actions was remarkable and I do not want to let it to go unnoticed. He made me feel like I am a valued customer, and my business is important to your organization. I told him I was on my lunch time, and he made sure my 4-5 questions/issues were resolved within the limited time I gave him. Please promote this staff member to be a training instructor or the employee of the month. He is an asset for your organization. I am sure his supervisor would agree Sebastian has a great personality and he is great to work with. Sebastian, thank you.

Positive experience: When the staff shows up at 7am as they are supposed to (which didn't used to be an issue), F4L offers great value. But for those of us that need to shower before heading into work, when the staff doesn't show up (3 times in the last 2 weeks they weren't there by 8am), it is a big problem. This is a problem that has been increasing over the past few months.

Fantastic experience: Fit4less is a great concept with good equipment and fair prices for membership. My only suggestion is to have reusable towels to wipe down machines instead of disposable paper towels. The 24/7 concept is a very useful way to make getting workouts in easier.

Negative experience: Very dirty and messy gym with weights everywhere or misplaced. On top of that, the manager Sebastian, is impatient and rude.

Negative experience: I recently started working down the road from this location. I phoned and expressed interest in joining the gym, but I would’ve liked to try out some of the equipment first. I was told essentially that I needed to pay $20 + tax to test out the gym. Meanwhile their monthly fee is $8/month. I guess this gym isn’t looking to acquire new members. I 90% would’ve joined, but why would anyone join a gym without at least testing out the equipment. Silly.

Negative experience: Compare to other locations, a lot of equipment are not functioning properly. The place seems neglected with the hygiene standards, specifically hand sanitizer all are empty or broken containers.

Fantastic experience: I went to Markham/Cochrane location yesterday from Toronto, for the 2nd time. Cause they have showers. Real quick 1st, I thought I lost my ( favorite) hat I called, Sebastian { I found out later he's the manager } answered the phone. He is an outstanding gentleman and a whole lot more. He went looking for it all over the place in every spot I could have possibly put it. I'm extremely appreciative and very thankful. He went above and beyond. I can't thank you enough bro. Now on to the facility; I wish showers are open during UnStaffed hours. I was told in case someone slips and falls ( makes sense ) . It's missing some equipments that I like. And there's not duplicate of certain ( in demand) equipment. I noticed This location has more people clean after using equipment than other locations (i think) . BTW I could care less bout that , if you want a job well done, do it yourself. If you want clean equipment, clean it / wipe it to your liking, before you get on it / use it. DaaaaH

Negative experience: Gym has a fair amount of equipment available which is the reason I didn’t give it a 1 star. My only real issue is what kind of gym doesn’t have a water fountain? Having to use the sink in the washroom to fill up my bottle is kind of annoying.

Negative experience: This review is specifically for the gentleman by the name of Donte. He is extremely unprofessional, constantly curses and use extreme vulgar language (constantly hear him make racial slurs and excessive use of the "N" word). I come here to this gym with my daughter which is a minor. On the numerous occasions where I've witnessed Donte working, he spends majority of the time working out, interacting with his friends and anything else other than his actual duties. All the other staff are wonderful and professional. On May 30th, 2022 I witnessed him horse playing, throwing paper towel balls and hitting other gym patrons. Please discipline this staff member, I actually feel bad for the other staff members because they have to put up with this one bad apple.

Negative experience: Lockers are never cleaned. Sanitizer bottles are always broken or almost empty, so are the paper towel dispensers. Hand sanitizer stations haven't been filled in WEEKS. Staff do nothing about it. Washroom sinks are always dirty.

Negative experience: Today, my girlfriend texts me saying she was stuck in the change room for over 20 mins until another woman came in. She tried calling the front desk but no one picked up. This is upsetting, in general, what if a member had an episode, or a heart attack, what if it was a pregnant woman that was stuck in that change room, what happens? An apology at the end of what could have been a bad situation? All I'm saying is either have front desk staff be more organized and be on top of thing as to pretending to look cool because they work at the gym or have more staff and do walk arounds to make sure doors are not locked or any other issues that can be avoided...

Negative experience: Wanted to make a complaint against a Karen who was disrespectful. She was sitting in front of a chest press bench for literally half an hour playing with her phone, not willing to move nor to share the bench with anyone during the busiest hour and whilst the second chest press bench was being shared by 3-4 individuals!! I’ve been working out for over a decade and never did I come across something like that. But the manager Andy thinks that’s a normal workout style during the busiest hour at gym and doesn’t want to entertain my complaint! It’s a great gym but it’s a shame that there’s tolerance for disrespectful behaviour.

Fantastic experience: The staff is incredible at this location. I genuinely think “Nick” deserves some recognition. He’s always really positive and welcoming. Goes out of his way to stay on top of everything and keep the entire facility clean. Really pleased with this location.

Fantastic experience: great variety of equipment for how cheap the membership is. clean environment and lots of sanitation stations around. getting my actual membership card was a bit difficult as the card dispenser didnt work after scanning my QR code repeatedly , i suggest going during staffed hours to initiate your membership in case the same thing happens to you.

Positive experience: I was a member in late 2019 for a few months and then signed up again in the Summer of 2021. I opted for their Black Card membership since I like its added benefits. During the time when the COVID restrictions were more strict, I was a little perturbed at the lack of enforcement in some aspects. At the time, there was a multi-function machine with 3 stations and adequate signage to say "1 person at a time" meant for 1 person for any 1 of the 3 stations. I usually saw 3 or 4 people at these 3 stations. Overall, without the COVID restrictions now, I think it's a great gym and a good value for the money.

Positive experience: Great gym and great pricing, it’s very spacious and neat, Update, went into the bathroom and the human fecal matter everywhere was not cleaned for multiple days.

Negative experience: I have been going to this location for last 4 yrs ...recently new manager is very rude and not helpful at all and place is not as clean as before..I will not renew my membership and not recommend anyone going there.

Positive experience: It does the job for a no-frills kind of gym. My only gripe is that it doesn't have a single squat rack, plenty of smith machines, but, no rack. Based on my experience so far, you will not have to wait long to use the equipment, but, that could be dependent on what time you go. I go in the early morning hours, so I never had issues with waiting. And now that they relented on the gym restrictions, no need to make appts.
