Negative experience: I'm extremely disappointed with the level of service and lack of responsibility shown by Fit4Less Gloucester and their management team. Over a month ago, I was injured by faulty equipment at their Gloucester location, which also damaged my phone. Despite multiple follow-up emails and requests for assistance, I have received little to no response from the team in charge. The incident was reported to the manager on duty, who then escalated it to the regional manager. However, despite their promises to “look into it” and “follow up,” I am still left with no clear answers or resolution. Not only have they failed to address my request for phone repair compensation, but the extended silence and lack of accountability from their central office have made the experience incredibly frustrating. If you’re considering joining Fit4Less, be aware that they lack the responsibility and communication needed to handle incidents involving member safety. This experience has been nothing but disappointing, and I would not recommend this gym to anyone looking for a reliable, safe, and supportive environment.

Negative experience: I’m not usually one to complain, but the situation at the gym has become frustrating. While the staff is friendly and helpful, nearly 40% of the machines are broken and not being repaired. When the gym gets busy, it leads to long wait times. Management needs to understand that members are paying for this service. I’m sure the staff has brought this up, but it seems like management isn’t taking it seriously. It’s really frustrating, and I’m considering switching gyms

Fantastic experience: Ignore the 1 star reviews. This gym has everything you could want or need to become fit and strong. In the black card area, there are five squat racks, multiple benches, and lots of plates. This isn't my home gym, and frankly, I'm a little jealous of what you have here. If you find it too busy, hit it up in the morning, five o'clock Saturday. I was alone in the black card area. I did see a couple of red tags, but that's life, there is multiple of every piece of equipment and about 30 tread mills. Enjoy it, you have a gem here!

Negative experience: I wanted to register at the gym but I paid 4 times because their machines were broken. I have been trying to get my money for 2 weeks but I can't. They victimized me a lot. They tell me to go to the bank, but when I go to the bank, the bank is mine again. They tell me to go to the gym. When I left, my agents said he wasn't here. but I have already paid 72 dollars 4 times. and I wanted to enter for free until the manager came, but they asked me for extra money again. They victimized me a lot. And they are scammers and nobody helped me and my money is still with them and I can't get my money back and I'm very tired.

Positive experience: Use to go around 2am cuz I'd have the place to myself. Now there's usually a group of kids doing dumb stuff. Walked in one day to a group of 6 or 7 highschool kids wrestling in the lockers area.

Negative experience: The washrooms are eternally dirty. Lots of gym equipment are forever under maintenance, and the staff is rude and unhelpful. They always carry this unfriendly attitude ! We are customers, and we are not here to understand that they may be going through bad days! Highly unorganized place with worst customer service !

Negative experience: This place used to be a great option, but something changed in the past year. The place is always really dirty and half the machines I want to use are often out of order. I'm not sure what the company is doing but they are clearly not hiring the right people for the job, and there are at least a couple of people working here who ruin things for everyone and really ought to be fired. It's sad too, because some of the employees do seem to care and want to do their jobs but there aren't enough of them or resources for them.

Negative experience: Have called them over 10 times to try and cancel my membership because thats the only way you can do that for some reason and they won’t pick up my call!! No customer support is worse than bad customer support.

Positive experience: Ive been going here for a month now and so far i have no complains. The machines i need is available and working. The place is clean and paper towels are being replaced 9/10. The only complain I have is not for the gym but for the guys who uses the machine and dont wipe their sweats! Disgusting! But overall this location is great!

Positive experience: Good relative to the price and enough machines. Cleaning dispenser to clean your machine, lockers (bring your own lock), coat hangers, and changing rooms. My only problem was that several leg machines have been under maintenance for weeks and not sure when they're planning to fix/replace them.

Fantastic experience: City park location is perfect. Lighting is great. But the bathroom and change rooms could be cleaned more often. The bathroom smelllllls lol

Positive experience: Good inexpensive gym, especially if you're just starting out. It's kept clean and has lockers, but it's just a bare minimum gym (with a few extra perks/options if you have the black card). Also love that most machines tell you what muscles each exercise targets.

Negative experience: Since Fit4Less doesn’t post contact information on their website for me to contract them directly, I must leave this complaint publicly. Most of their machines require maintenance and don’t function properly. Either the cardio machines don’t read your heartbeat or the circuitry malfunctions mid-workout and destroys your entire workout.There’s no excuse for this. It takes so much motivation to just go to the gym, just to get there to have your motivation completely destroyed by the poorly maintained machines. Save your money and frustration and go to a gym that maintains their equipment.

Negative experience: DO NOT SIGN UP HERE UNLESS YOU KNOW YOU HAVE MONEY FOR EVERY PAYMENT. Scamming company took a 25$ fee for missing the payment by 1 day.

Negative experience: Place is always filthy, no cleaning supplies very often in the early morning. Equipment goes unfixed for weeks and months on end. Raised issues with manager and staff a few times, they could care less. Instead of cleaning, staff spend their time chatting with friends. Only reason I come here is that it’s next door.

Negative experience: The gym is not cleaned and maintained during the weekend, even during staff hours. Bathrooms are full of toilet paper on the floor and out of soap. Change rooms are filthy. I see the same pieces of trash on Saturday and then Sunday, which indicates the rooms weren’t inspected and cleaned in the last 24 hours, at least. All paper towel bins in the workout area were full to the rim, and whoever the staff during the weekend didn’t think it was necessary to empty them before leaving at 4pm. Big and nice gym, but unhygienic and messy during the weekends.

Positive experience: They have these broken equipments for almost 3 months, I am considering cancel it. Only two pec fly equipments and one of them is broken the same with bars that cost 10 dollars and they have only two and one of them is in this ridiculous state ... It clearly lacks effort from this company and their employees.

Negative experience: Used to be awesome but now all the machines are broken and are in need of a deep clean. There's more pink slips everyday.

Positive experience: Three issues with this gym: - there are no thick bars (the thin ones are harder to grip if you’re not used to them) - the toilets are not ventilated and stink - the annual fee of $50 is not only charged at your membership’s anniversary, it is charged the day you sign up too. That info can only be found in the fine print (promotional material doesn’t explain this deception). Everything else is near perfect, it’s a spacious gym with varied equipment and nice staff.

Positive experience: Title: Mediocre Experience, Room for Improvement My recent visit to the gym left me with mixed feelings. While the facility has a decent range of equipment, I couldn't help but notice the absence of a T-Bar Row machine, a valuable addition for comprehensive workouts. In comparison to a previous gym I frequented, CRUNCH, I found their membership fees to be more budget-friendly, and they boasted a more diverse selection of machines. It would be beneficial for this gym to consider revising their offerings and pricing to stay competitive in the fitness market. Aiming for a more comprehensive range of equipment and competitive pricing could significantly enhance the overall experience. 3 stars.

Negative experience: It's ok for what it costs but place is not cleanest. Bathrooms are gross. Rarely any staff around. Hydro massage chair is nice but ultimately a useless perk to the black card if there's never a staff member to set ot up for you.. Would be nice if they were set up where members could swipe their cards themselves Edit : the uncleanliness in this place has gotten much worse. When i came in mid-day on december 24th, the bathrooms were absolutely horrible, one of the two sinks was clogged up with toilet paper, whole counter and floor littered in garbage, the one urinal covered in filth and a note saying they its under maintenance but parts could take longer then expected. One of the two toilets were clogged with feces and what appears to be the entire rooms toilet paper. 3 days later i returned and nothing had changed. Everything described above was unchanged.. I understand its the holidays but that's no excuse to ignore the cleaning if the gym is opened 24/7..

Negative experience: Its a great gym but expect broken machines all the time.. also it takes a long time until they fix them too.. when they introduced black card, its kinda gave me p2w vibes, some machines doesn’t exist on the gym unless u have the black card..

Fantastic experience: Probably the best and cleanest FFL I've gone to in Ontario.

Negative experience: Overall the gym is pretty good, a lot of variety in machines, the only issue is if a machine you want to use is broken, you're better off just finding a different gym. The only Fit4Less I've been to where it's taken 3+ weeks to fix pivotal machines. What genius believes it's ok to have only 2 pec decks in a giant gym, where 1 is broken and the other hardly works. 1 of almost every machine is broken at this point, and there's no point waiting for repairs. Also, if it interests anyone, there are no sharps bins in the washrooms, whilst the other 2 (smaller) Fit4Less in the Innes area seem to be equipped with them.

The pool closed early, so I joined my boyfriend at the gym in a conservative bikini with a dress over it. During my workout, a staff member approached me, claiming some people objected to my attire. Despite checking company rules and contracts, no such restrictions were stated. It's disheartening that basic rights are disregarded, and the staff's behavior felt offensive and unprofessional. It's essential to respect individual choices and uphold inclusivity. I'm considering legal action because everyone should have the right to wear what they're comfortable in. Canada values freedom, and it's concerning that such incidents occur."

Negative experience: I don’t recommend this gym at all, they charged my account 70$ for an ‘’annual fee’’ that they said happens twice a year which they don’t tell you when you sign up. Also this gym is always dirty and disgusting, half of the equipment never works and the staff is never around when you need them for something. Won’t be coming back here.

Positive experience: For the price of a coffee a day, you'll find a reasonably maintained facility that has just about all the equipment you'd ever need. It's always open, but access to some things limited to staffed hours such as hydro-massage and tanning if that's your thing. I generally go in the mornings, and it's not really busy with largely the same crowd of regulars. The few times I've been in the evening it's much busier. Recent upgrades include a water fountain and a segregated Black Card "cage" with new gear, and heavier weights. Gripes? None with Fit4less, it delivers on its namesake; some of the members are disgusting though. I don't care if you don't sweat, WIPE YOUR GEAR down. The attended minors policy is very disappointing. Say I had an 11 year old that was interested in coming with me to F4L supervised... that's a hard no, citing safety concerns. (which is b.s. as everything is all waivered anyways, cmon F4L.)

Negative experience: This place is filthy. No one cleans the equipment or has any gym etiquette. I got COVID twice in 4 months when I was a member, never having had it before or since. Not worth the cheaper price tag. Two stars because equipment is decent.

Positive experience: I was about to sign up for a membership, then saw their confusing fee structure. $7.99 + tax every two weeks directly from your bank with $59 + tax annual fee. So my first month would be $7.99 + 13% + $7.99 + 13% + $59 + 13%. They have a no commitment option, but you’re still paying the annual fee with no further explanation of the difference. The black card throws another wrench into the confusion. Clarifying: I only accessed through web for sign ups (ideally their easiest and lowest cost for labour option) but do not believe their front end staff will be well-versed in finances enough to provide an accurate figure. I’ve heard great things from others for a budget gym but mathematically speaking it’s barely cheaper.

Fantastic experience: No frills gym. Equipment is well maintain and there's no wait.

Positive experience: Pros, Fit For Less is an economical way to work out with many machines and free weights. It is clean and the clientele is respectful. They have 24-hour gyms which means you never have to skip leg day during a holiday. Cons, There are no mirrors in the change room for photos of my soon-to-be ripped muscles LOL It is also very busy between 3:00 and 6:00, so plan your workout accordingly.

Fantastic experience: Very grateful to the staff for being so prompt towards addressing my issue by email today .. despite the site saying the email is checked once a week , they answered me and took care of my issue very quickly and were very considerate of my situation. I am extremely grateful and appreciate the staff members .

Negative experience: Dealing with this companies is so horrible they give you sub par service with dirty gyms and no staff to be able to even use the "perks". When you finally do get a staff they are so horrible to deal with. It is definitely not a judgement free zone. I have been trying to cancel for months I finally figure out i need to go to a kiosk. Negative experience: The place is filthy, holes in the men’s bathroom walls, equipment always broken takes forever to get them fix, parking lot is full of garbage, rules are not enforced at all. Members sneaks there friends in without paying, majority of cardio machines are out of service. I also see from time to time homeless people are sleeping on message beds. Positive experience: I feel right at home! It's affordable. I got the blackcard, so I have access to much more than the original card. I'm a happy and satisfied person. The only down thing is we don't get a gym bag given like other gyms do. We need to pay for it.

Negative experience: The new manager needs to leave this gym. Ever since she took over the machines are not fixed. no soap in the washroom and there is nobody working on the weekends. This gym is not the same since the new manager took over. Please learn how to schedule! There is always members waiting outside the door for a staff to answer.

Positive experience: The equipment is pretty good, however it sometimes stinks there. Also they don’t have staff on Sundays which makes it a problem for minors.

Positive experience: I’ve been doing to this gym for the past 2 years and compared to other gyms I’ve been to, this one is below average. There is no public wifi, showers and water station to fill water bottles. The equipment is nice and it’s fairly clean.

Positive experience: Great gym in terms of having the equipment you need for a great price. However, you can tell depending on the day which employees just sit in the back and which ones actually do work, since many times you will find no paper in most of the dispensers and an unclean gym, even when you show up before the afternoon rush.

Negative experience: Came today and for a Sunday I expected there to be paper in the dispensers. At least 5 of the dispensers were empty. Upon also finishing my workout I noticed there was an employee here the entire time. She was hiding in the back room so no one can bug her. Wish this place had a public maintenance room because I’d rather do it myself than have to walk across the entire gym to clean my equipment. Fantastic experience: Great gym...pretty much always clean. The one thing is I've seen so many people sneak in with another person. And this happens whether or not a staff member is there. But worse when there is no staff. It's not very encouraging for those of us that pay when people are sneaking in for free. Maybe watch the cameras...somehow penalize the people that do it? It isn't fair to those of us who pay. Hope you get that stupidity under control.

Positive experience: I'm a new member but it's everything I have been looking for and the price is right.

Positive experience: Overall solid Fit4less location. However, some negatives: equipment that needs maintenance is often cycled again through maintenance until something breaks and only then will they really fix it. I’ve told staff about the same issue on different machines week over week and it would still not have a sign on it or be fixed. Spray bottles and wipes constantly need replenishing, weighted plates all over the place, and the men’s washroom could use a constant cleaning - I think the primary problem is the staff on shift sitting in the office instead of looking after stuff. The gym can also be extremely busy 3pm-7pm so avoid these times if you don’t want to spend 30+mins waiting for a bench/squat rack. I give it 4 stars because there are much worse Fit4less locations in Ottawa, this one is acceptable for most gym needs.

Positive experience: The hangers are not removable so most days my jacket ends up on the floor.

Positive experience: My experience was overall a good one when I visited because I made new friends. Machine availability is the question of the day depending on the time you're going. Three threadmills were out of order. No surprise there especially after noticing how some members were not considerate towards those ones that were on service (newbies).

Positive experience: Have been a member of this club for several years but have recently seen a decline in how clean this facility is. Paper holders empty, waste bins over flowing, dirty tissues/paper towelling left on floor, floors around the coat/shoe storage area unclean. Staff unseen and usually hiding out in the office, There was a time when staff were always cleaning or on the desk, welcoming and getting to know the patrons. Very disappointing.

Positive experience: Change rooms are filthy, bathrooms okay, gym floor is disgusting as it’s always dirty. Equipment is always good though sometimes there are lines to use stuff in the freeweight areas. Staff seem to be there just to sit in the staff room & do less than the job description probably asks. What would fix this location: don’t worry about hiring the typical staff, hire cleaners to be the staff & do rounds on the gym floor. It’s repulsive & seems like it might get cleaned MAYBE once a week.

Positive experience: For the most part my experience has been great coming at 9am . Friendly Staff clean building working equipment. However on December 19 2022 I had forgotten my key tag “ my fault “ only to come in to realize there was no staff on to let people in or discuss issues at 9am. Unless I am missing something according to the website only on Holidays and overnight was there to be no staff. In the building on this day there was no sign that there was to be no staff change.To my knowledge this was neither. I would hope that in the future this situation wouldn’t happened again. To add to my review in October 2024 I was charged $65 dollars for no reason given please notify clients if you are going to take off such a big amount or remove a small amount at a time.

Positive experience: Best gym community in Ottawa ( been to multiple gym, but for the price this one is excellent and the people who attend are real nice) Edit: The new manager seems quite unfriendly. Also if your going to answer a review. Especially a good one ( it use to be 5 stars). At least put the real name... She also will ask things like not to deadlift at all ( even when the weigth is put down slowly and not dropped. I'm a personal trainer and been a witness of this scenario. This was not appropriated ). Annyway, just dropped my review from 5 stars to 3.

Fantastic experience: This is a nice place for anyone who's a beginner or a novice when it comes to exercise or bodybuilding. The equipment are easy to use, and for anyone who has problems with social anxiety and being around people, there's explanations and images on how to use the equipment without having to walk up to people when it's your first time going to the gym and you're not yet comfortable to talk to people yet. I would recommend this for anyone who wants to get into fitness while also saving a few bucks with the affordable membership plans.

Negative experience: I gave this gym 5 stars quite a few months ago. I don’t know what happened but it is insanely dirty. I am here now and the women’s bathroom has toilette paper all over the floor. The tanning room light is on, weights are everywhere and there’s paper towel all over the floors with empty dispensers. I am switching gyms, this is GROSS!

Negative experience: I'm not sure who works there but I have been calling many times in different days but no one ever answers the phone.

Negative experience: First time at Fit4less but I am not happy with their service. Staff wanted me to use the kiosk to get my membership and he was unwilling to help and trying to hide in their small room behind the counter. Also, I don’t understand why i can’t use massage chair if employees aren’t there. If that’s the case they should keep employees 24 hrs or should reduce their operating time. They also said with the black card I can bring my family members but they give only one card and that card can be used only once every 30 minutes. So that means we (family members) can’t go together☹️. This is not a good business model.

Fantastic experience: Love the Fit4Less in Gloucester its very big and clean lots or room for everyone, machines are well maintained staff is very friendly always eager to help anyway they can. I recommend this fit4less if u live in the general area.

If you read through the reviews, every review which has under 3 stars has the exact same template reply which goes like this: "Hi {UserName}. We’re sorry to see you have not had a great experience. If there is anything we can assist with, please send us a DM on one of our social channels." It shows the owners simply do not care about their customers. Deeply insulting. ----- Previous Review: I have been a black card member at Fit4less and regularly use the gym at city park location for around 3 years now. The staff is kind, friendly, and clean the place regularly. Sometimes, some equipment is broken but recently, they have started to fix it fairly quickly. So that's great to see. I am glad they got the extra squat racks and heavier dumbbells up to 100lb last year. One piece of equipment (a Trap/hex bar) is missing though and it's very odd because every other non-fit4less gym I have been to has it. I was wondering if it's possible to get the below equipment? 1. Trap Bar (also called a Hex Bar): This is a very standard equipment at almost all gyms. I think, other than Fit4less locations, I haven't seen any other gym which doesn't have this equipment. It can be used to perform exercises like deadlifts, shrugs, farmer carries etc more safely. It's fairly cheap too, I think around $100. One or two trap bars would be perfect. 2. Dumbbells up to 120lb if possible. Not a super big deal though. 3. Chest-supported (or even non supported) T-bar row machine. If the gym adds a Trap Bar, then I will update the review to 5 stars. Positive experience: Good gym, but doesnt have a water fountain, lots of chicks video recording and taking pictures of themselves instead of working out, while wearing revealing gym clothes all to post online for likes from thirsty orbiters. They cannot get enough validation and crave it when guys are staring at them

Negative experience: Terrible customer service as I can see is a common complaint. They recently raised their prices and I had no idea so I ended up being short the payment by $0.35. Luckily my bank reversed the NSF fees, however Fit4Less is charging me $25 on TOP of the payment. They claimed they sent everyone an email, however I definitely never received it. They said the most they “might” be able to do is credit my account. But I canceled my membership this morning so that is virtually useless to me. I’ve been a member for about 5 years now and not once missed a payment, you think they would waive the fee just once considering I had no idea of the price change. They care much more about money than they do their faithful members.

Fantastic experience: It's quite a busy gym at times but the equipment is great, I've seen people complaining about the equipment in the reviews and they really are entitled if this equipment isn't good enough for them. The staff are always around, I've never had an issue with them. I will say they do have some sketchy deals they try to send via email that don't seem too worth it. And there is no water fountain so just don't be lazy and bring a bottle from home. Can't believe people give 1 start just due to this.

Fantastic experience: I genuinely enjoy this location out of all the ones in Ottawa. I personally say the best Times are early morning and before 4p.m as it gets busy after work.

Negative experience: Awful customer service. Staff are rude and awful to deal with. Even if you are a paying member for over a year, forget your card once and they will tell you to drive home and get it or buy a new one for 2x the cost of the monthly membership. What a joke. Terrible service. I hope that employmee feels good about themselves denying someone a workout because they forgot a card. And they acknowledged i was a paying customer. Just awful.

Fantastic experience: I love the way this gym is set up, it’s clean and has plenty of equipment. Other than the rush around 4-6pm it doesn’t seem to get unreasonably busy and you really can’t beat the price! However there are change rooms but not showers, and no water stations on site.

Fantastic experience: Just came back to this gym and Ahmen. They are doing vaccine pasorts only. It's amazing how many less people there is whe you have to have the passport. I have to Say Melissa is a awesome representative. High energy Please to deal with. Keep this worker she's solid.
