Negative experience: I signed someone up for a free guest pass at LA Fitness in Niagara Falls, Ontario, only for them to be turned away because they weren’t “local.” Nowhere in the terms and conditions does it mention that guest passes are restricted to locals, and customer service couldn’t provide any documentation to back up this policy. Disappointed by the lack of transparency and consistency—LA Fitness should make these rules clear upfront.

Negative experience: I recently visited Fitness International to inquire about a membership, and I was extremely disappointed with my experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt completely ignored and disrespected by the staff. Despite expressing interest in signing up, no one made an effort to assist or provide any helpful information. The lack of professionalism and attention to potential members is unacceptable, especially for a gym with such a good reputation. I walked away feeling like my time and interest didn’t matter at all. Given the poor customer service, I’m reconsidering whether this gym is the right choice for me. I sincerely hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works to improve the treatment of potential members in the future.

Negative experience: What is wrong with the management here paying 40 dollars a month+ 100 dollar annual fee annual for cleaning and maintenance but the Jacuzzi is still bad with shit on floor .. same goes for the pool they don't have pump for basketball balls or gym ball they don't have medicine balls no air no pumps the front of the house know nothing about it...and I am still finding a racquet ball court ..what a rip off

Positive experience: I upgraded recently from another gym and I love the facility so far. Price honestly isn't terrible for the amenities you get. Basketball court, pool and hot tub, sauna and group classes. The only thing I wish is that the sauna's were unisex as it would be nice to relax in there with my wife! (Although I know why and understand why they are separated). One downside is I wish they were open later, 10pm seems too early lol. Overall good gym and would recommend.

Positive experience: Went there on a day pass recently. The staff at the desk requested my ID to take a picture of it. I refused at which point he said that I may not be able to process my entry form. I told him I'm not giving my ID to go into a gym. Magically, he was somehow able to move past that and allow us to go in. It was $20 each for me and my son! The gym has a lot of great equipment and appears to be well maintained upon initial inspection. After our first exercise I was shocked to realize there there's no way to clean the equipment after use. None! No one cleans the equipment after use? Disgusting! Overall, the gym is a great facility that just appears to be run quite poorly.

Negative experience: I wanted to try this gym before joining as its right around the corner from my job. I signed up for the 3 free classes online but when I got there and tried to use my passes they told me I had to sit down in their office space and speak to a sale rep first. I felt like I was in an interview. I had to answer a ton of questions about why I wanted to join this gym, why I wanted to leave my old gym, what my fitness goals are and how can I purchase more from them to help meet these goals. I was grilled about why I wanted to join a gym in a city I don't live in (I don't live and work in the same city, its easier to come right from work). Honestly why do they even care? You can just feel that the contract and sales pitch is coming. I get it, they want you to join but I will join a gym based on the quality of the gym and customer service, not because I got pressured in to signing something base off what's supposed to be a free pass. Since then I've had multiple people tell me they've had this same experience. I don't want to have to sit though and 45 min interview process to use a free day pass. You can feel them watching you workout so they can catch you on the way out for another exit interview where again, they want you to sign a contract. Its so transparent that theses sales reps get paid a commission so the only goal is to get you to sign. I will happily be staying at my current gym.

Fantastic experience: Johnathon at the front desk is an exemplary staff member who always displays excellent customer service skills.We observed his caring and dedication as he is especially focused on assisting the clients who have challenges with mobility. He literally springs into action to aid them through the door if needed. He is warm and welcoming and to everyone.He is definitely a valuable asset to La Fitnees Teddy

Fantastic experience: Mason a sales rep at LA fitness is great at selling his fitness club. Mason wants to know the why one chooses his club and would give his options and opinions to help you decide the best thing you can do for yourself. Fitness is important to me and it is good to know that the sales staff like Mason have the same sense of importance.

Negative experience: I joined this gym with almost time more charges compared to others gym . There is almost 1 item to exercise for 50plus people and there is no weight upto 100 . They have separate area to their trainer only and they took half of the items from gym and didn’t allow to share things and do miss behave . Its totally waste of money. Join fit4less instead of that at least we dont have to wait there.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, big, clean, very good class schedule. Nice staff. Two things I would like to see change is earlier hours of operation on Saturdays, some people work on Saturdays and would like to be able to use the gym before work, even 7am would make a big difference. Another thing is the air conditioner. At times it feels a bit too warm in there. But besides that I give it a 5 start!

Negative experience: Niagara Falls Canada LA Fitness is a pathetic excuse for a gym. Poorly maintained. They won’t get the right company to keep their pool and hot tub running correctly. They go as cheap as possible. They take your monthly dues and your yearly maintenance fees and pocket them. Anyone thinking of joining LA Fitness should go elsewhere. Money spent better elsewhere. Another problem is being told we have to wait to sign up for aquafit classes. We can’t sign up until 1/2 hour before it starts. I walked in one morning at 8:29 am for a aquafit class and I was the only one there. I was told I had to wait another minute. You know the saying “hurry up and wait”. I and other aquafit participants feel like we are back in school and need to wait our turn. We are customers and should not have to waste our time waiting to sign up for a class. The classes have not be full for a while since people are tired of wasting time waiting.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I visited the Niagara LA Fitness on Saturday evening while working on a project in the Niagara Region. We were impressed by the wonderful service and the cleanliness of the equipment and sauna. Manager was particularly helpful and friendly. Overall, it’s a great gym!

Negative experience: I have been a valued member of LA Fitness for a year now, but unfortunately, I have had a very unpleasant experience with their billing system. I have been charged three times a month, and I am unsure why. When I try to contact their billing department, they do not pick up the phone, and the staff members who do answer are not knowledgeable about the issue. This has been a very frustrating experience for me.

Negative experience: Honestly, I was an avid member for LA fitness a few years back and I always remember how terrible my experience was there, it's crazy; the manager there was so rude any time I complained about anything, really dissapointing experience, I definitely will never be going there again, considering there are so many Locally owned and better options in Niagara Falls. It only makes sense to not go to LA. Hopefully they find a new manager.

I have not been in a gym for almost a year and coming back has been easier than expected . Neutral environment , not intimidating … and friendly staff. Brendan helped me with my tour, he was very friendly and easy to talk to, was not pushy.. didn't make me feel like I had to sign up.. but I ended up joining !

Negative experience: Couldn’t give 0 stars The claimed “general manager” of the place Brenden R is the rudest of them all. They lack basic customer service etiquette -being rude, -making people uncomfortable by yelling at them and -taunting the customer if requested to cancel membership (all his colleagues witnessed this). If the facility is employing such people in customer facing positions, it’s just pathetic. The person refused to give the name when requested. This happened after barely being a member for 10 days which is why canceling the membership today inspite of paying a good amount of fees and deposit. The complaint is not about the facility but purely about the staff and how they treat their customers.

Positive experience: Day shift is ok but night shifts is like a joke, kids are working at night, at night management is like joke, and the souna floor needs to be repaired

Negative experience: I've been a member over 7yrs now and have watched it go into a slow decline. I wonder at times why I'm paying so much to go here. -NO ONE wipes anything down after using it. It's very very rare to see people clean any equipment after sweating all over it. -No one knows, or understands gym etiquette. Putting equipment away after using it. Not hogging equipment while sitting on your phone and not actually working out. Video chatting your entire conversation on full volume so everyone has to listen, you get the idea. Management should be teaching things when signing people up. It's hard to be mad at the people when it's the gym that doesn't teach it OR enforce it. Lastly, not enough equipment. They have ONE floating bench for the entire gym. So yea. That's hard to get. I have never seen them bring in any new equipment my entire time there. The most they have done is a couple new handles and machine repairs. Not even a kettlebell set for the general members. They keep the kettlebells for PTs only.

Fantastic experience: I've come to this location location a couple of times before, I am now very happy with the Customer service and my experience with management in welcoming me as a guest. Lots of space, cool vibes and other guests are friendly.

Negative experience: Good gym with amenities. Needed a "cancelation person" to cancel at a certain time and date to cancel membership when they wanted. Had to send a cancelation letter to California to cancel membership. Beware - cancelation made this place not worth going too, only good to goto if around everyday all the time to "cancel" They will sign you up with force also and to leave make it very difficult.

Positive experience: It was excellent when it opened up. Over the years it has become a little out of date and showing its age. But still pretty good compared to other options in Niagara Falls. The locker rooms do need a major deep cleaning / freshening up, and so do the public areas. But it still offers the best amenities in all of Niagara Falls. Lots of equipment, clean and spacious, hot tub, swimming pool and basketball as well.

Fantastic experience: Love the Place, trainers are amazing, make sure you don’t work too hard at first! Be careful with cancellation of any membership, read carefully the agreement before you sign and don’t get fooled with your own enthusiasm!

Fantastic experience: I recently joined La Fitness, wonderful facility, spotless, welcoming personnel. Met with Raghav one-on-one, he's incredibly motivated, certified, and experienced. He asked about my fitness background, goals, provided specific workout plans, and lifting motivation. More significantly, he has helped me build a healthier relationship with fitness and increased my confidence at the gym.

Fantastic experience: Great session with the training director, Raghav. Really wonderful guy, I appreciate his knowledge about different routines and exercises. Would recommend him as a trainer to all! :)

Negative experience: I recently bought my son, 17 years old a membership at this gym without realizing how far it is from his current residence. I spoke to the operations manager to let her know that I need to cancel his membership. She told me that it had to be done in person. I expressed that it would not be possible as it’s a $35 dollar Uber ride for my son just to get there. Instead of letting me know that I could take care of it online she persisted to argue that it had to be done in person. It wasn’t till the end of the conversation that she said it could be done online but, in a very condescending tone. I thanked her for the information that was needed and said goodbye. She hung up the phone up before I could even get the words out of my mouth. Very rude and condescending for someone who claims she’s the operations manager. Proper phone educate gets you places in life.

Negative experience: I've been a member since they opened. The only reason I'm still going is because it's convenient, it has the equipment I use, and it's free for me. There are too many entitled members that don't put their equipment away and too many entitled managers that leave it that way. I'll walk past the same garbage and the same plates and dumbells all over the floor one day that were in the same place the day before. The personal trainers don't put their equipment away and barely pay attention to their clients. Some of the staff are very unprofessional. The women's washroom and changeroom is always quite clean and well stocked. They recently vacuumed up the dust bunnies from under the equipment which was nice. I wish there was a way to give the members a review. If you are a member and reading this, put your equipment back where you got it and stop video chatting while you are in the gym, nobody wants to hear your conversation or be part of your video call!

Negative experience: Front desk asks for credentials depending on how they are feeling and there is no standard set my manager to follow policy and check credentials. I visit with my father so I don’t bring ID… they asked for it after maybe my 6th visit to the gym. They claim “ identification is only required 1 time” so why didn’t they ask the first time I visited? Because front desk workers ask for credentials based on how they are feeling that day and how well they like you as a member. Please keep it a standard for everyone to avoid mistreatment. Thank you. Uphold your staff to the Same standard as your gym members.

Negative experience: This gym scammed me on my membership fees. Wanted more than 50 percent cancellation fee for services never provided. Manager was so rude too. I would never sign up to this gym in a million years.

Negative experience: Worst Gym in Niagara Falls. They dont cancal your membership even when you fixed appointment with them 3 times. Manager is not avaialble and think people are dummy especially foriegn nationals. They are the most arrogant people , poor customer service. They ripp you dont waste your money. i wish i have 1000 gmail accounts so put all dirty games they play with thier customer
