Negative experience: Don’t try to enrol the personal training there they will robbed you and they just cared about there self ….. no sufficient trainer there…… even they charge me on 27 dec till now only get one session and i paid full money ….. specially don’t trust “Dennis” he is in sales he told us totally different when we go there and he is biggest lair double standard person ….. so please don’t even thing about it for personal training ….. there trainer don’t even know how to take measurement he does not know about how to govern diet and all if you really want to do gym this is not the place they just took your money…. No solution and they keep saying that you sing the contract that’s is no ethics
Negative experience: I joined six weeks ago. I advise five seperate employees about the plastic pool lane seperators being in need of claning.The pool has been closed 3 times and the hot tub once. Nothing has been done about it yet.
Positive experience: It's fine. There's generic Life Fitness Equipment nothing special. They only have hex plates and no platforms, so deadlifting here is a bad experience. The dumbbells are never organized properly. For around 45$ a month and close to home it's barely good enough for me.

Negative experience: Don't do it! I had a lovely gym experience, however they do not let you end the membership! I have been charged monthly after they said my file was closed and they "cannot refund me" past a certain date. They got my information wrong as well which contributed. I have since learned LA Fitness is notorious for doing this. The person who signed me up for two months only "no longer works there" and the membership phone number just rings out. Spare yourself the stress!!

Fantastic experience: Came in to try the gym out and possibly sign up. I dealt with Eddy and he was nothing short of professional. I had issues signing up and Eddy went above and beyond to make sure my gym goals didn’t hinder. The gym is has everything you need and the customer service is 10/10 thanks to Edddy!

Negative experience: The maintenance guy who take care of swimming and jacuzzi need to communicate properly.he could turn of and start emptying the water while customers are in jacuzzi whit-out any kind of notification. need to do better than that !

She always ensures the gym is spotless, and you can tell she takes great pride in her work. Whether it's wiping down machines, organizing equipment, painting tiles or maintaining the overall cleanliness, Alex is always on top of it. Negative experience: I am the fastest person who is became a member and then after 6 days escaped from the gym.
Fantastic experience: Enjoy working out. Very friendly employees. Nov 10 Went today at 9.30am for a swim. When I got to the showers at around 11 there was no hot water. I spoke to the person at the reception and told him that the women’s shower had no hot water. He just turned his head away, when I saw that response I added “I don’t know if you can do anything about it but I am letting you know”. He just said ok ok. Totally careless and has no customer service skills. I am not sure why employees like him are hired in the front line. Please look into it.
Negative experience: The guy in front name Jared letting people in without any membership. I went out to grab something from my car, I told the guy I was just here 1 minutes ago still don't believe. A lot a people in this location has no membership and yet staff letting them in for free, this is gotta stop. They're more strict to the member of the club than that doesn't have. This incident not just happened today, I've seen this everyday.

Negative experience: The female staff are EXTREMELY RUDE!! When I called they would hang up the phone on me while I was talking. When I told the manager about my experience he didn't care! I AM NOT signing up to LA fitness, Much happier with Planet Fitness.
Positive experience: Ridiculous cleaning schedule, when most of the members using facility that only time they chose time for cleaning. This shows poor management. Not able to use the facility because if cleaning schedule, management should think about this.
Negative experience: Very unprofessional and poor service. I would say I had the worst experience here. They refused us an entry for an approved and valid day pass. The reason they provided was that because we have been a member before so the day pass is not valid even though it says it is valid for us because we are currently non-members. We showed the pass to the rep and she still refused saying even though it doesn’t say it she would still deny us an entry. Such an unprofessional experience. The rep refused to let us speak to the manager as they were not there. Needless to say our pass worked fine when we scanned it but we just had to ask for help and another family members pass wasn’t scanning. A big gap between their system and the people at the customer service desk.

Negative experience: This used to be my favorite gym. But the amount of congestion during peak hours at this location has made it impossible to enjoy working out, there isn't enough racks to squat in, there isn't enough benches to workout on, Zumba classes have the door open and it's way too loud making it impossible to stretch and cooldown properly. This gym has been causing me a lot of anxiety in the last 6 months of training I had to switch gyms. Please don't spend your money at this franchise, don't support these guys until they make their facility adequate for the volume of people that are signing up.
Fantastic experience: Today, my buddy and I had a flat tire. One of the male staff went out of his way to lend us his personal air compressor. This is going beyond expected service and is seen quite rarely these days. Thank you for the help bud, much appreciated.
Negative experience: The maintenance is poor, with something usually not working. The showers and sauna are extremely old, despite the high fees charged. Hopefully, management will take real action to address these issues.
Positive experience: Knowledge and experience creates a great combination that Dr.Ali as the master trainer at LA fitness has it. He is the only reason I am still going to LA fitness. He knows the in and out of the body better than anyone. I highly recommend him as your personal trainer
Negative experience: I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding an incident that occurred at your LA Fitness Eglinton branch. Today, upon arriving at the gym and presenting my barcode for scanning at the front desk, I was approached by an employee named Philips James. To my surprise, Mr. James requested to take my picture without providing a clear explanation for this procedure. When I questioned the necessity of having my picture taken, Mr. James simply stated that it was "protocol" before turning away to engage in conversation with a colleague. I was left feeling confused and ignored without any further clarification. Subsequently, I contacted the William LA Fitness branch to inquire about this policy. The staff member I spoke with there not only explained the rationale behind capturing photos but also apologized for the lack of communication at the Eglinton branch. Upon sharing this feedback with a representative from your Eglinton location, I was met with indifference and was advised to call back on Monday to speak with the manager. This response lacked the courtesy and professionalism I expected as a paying member of your gym. I believe that as a customer, I deserve a basic level of respect and communication. I am disappointed by the lack of customer service and communication skills demonstrated by your staff at the Eglinton branch. I intend to escalate this matter further if it is not addressed promptly and appropriately. I kindly request that you investigate this incident, ensure that proper explanations are provided to customers, and take necessary steps to improve customer service standards at your facility. Negative experience: Had the worst experience of my life and faced racism from Richard who claims is the manager of the place( but I highly doubt so). My membership plan had guest privileges until I changed it effective next month. I brought in a guest today and unfortunately decided speak to Richard to keep the old plan itself. He however denied that the plan can’t be upgraded and suggested me to take a new membership ( probably to get his sales commission). He gave me the pricing options and I told him that I’ll think about it and let him know. I believed that my guest privileges still exist as my billing date is 19th of April and went in to workout with my guest. He came all the way to the locker room and took me out to talk and convinced me to take the new membership to which I agreed and then he said that even if I get the membership my card would bounce !! I was shocked that someone who claims to be the manager could talk like that and then rudely called out my guest and asked him questions like “who let you in?” And why did you go in there? I felt embarrassed at this point and asked him why he is being rude and requested to talk politely but he kept stretching on the same questions and targeted my guest because he didn’t have a membership at the gym. Richard seemed really frustrated that we’re sharing the membership. I mean what’s the whole point of having to pay 25$ for a guest pass if the management forces guests to have a membership of their own?? And when we were asking him questions he was making fun of our background by asking us if we understand English?? Like what the helll!!!?? And he kept arguing with my guest when who wasn’t even a member at the gym !! Richard bro you need to do better at this job and not spoil the reputation of LA FITNESS. He finally gave us an option to either take the new membership now or leave the gym or get a one day pass for my guest for 20$ there was another young white guy why intervened to say that the card might bounce…is this because of our race that they thought we deserved to be treated like that? like I’ve never felt this kind of racism anywhere in Canada. Thanks to Richard I have decided to cancel my membership and go to a gym where they treat all their clients with respect and politeness Never recommending anyone this gym!! Richard, get a life!
Negative experience: Front desk staff are comprised of useless teens that couldn’t care less about their actual job. Their incompetence is evident whether you speak with them on the phone or interact with them in person. Poor hiring/training from management. Pretty much a spot for high schoolers to play ball and honestly it’s a bit of a nastier gym. PS. CANCELLATION IS A NIGHTMARE Lol spend the extra money on GoodLife honestly

Fantastic experience: Always clean. I drive more because of that! The gym has a person cleaning often.
Negative experience: The pool is often cold, horribly salty and visibility is good only a feet away. Almost all the showers have no soap and especially at evening times the dressing room becomes filthy with paper towels and empty water bottles. Either you enforce basic gym etiquette or clean the floor. This is an unserious club for the money they charge.
Positive experience: Gym very clean and enjoyed being at facility with the weights re-racked. Only downside is excessive mold in the grouting in all the shower stalls. Being hazardous to your health, I will not be returning.

Negative experience: Very bad experience! I was charged for personal training and wasn’t even asked if i wanted to continue even though i mentioned till when i want it in the application. They refused a refund. What kind of service is that. If i have not used anything yet i should get a refund. There is no refund policy they say. Somebody’s hard earned money is joke to them.
Fantastic experience: I bring my child here for their swimming lessons, and I have no complaints. Staff at the front desk is polite. It's warm indoors and there's sufficient parking space.

Positive experience: Whoever from the gym staff reads it please be advised the swimming pool water treatment system is unbalanced. Chlorination level is too high. Skin and eyes get ittchy immediately you dive in the pool. Stuff at the front desk did not make any actions to make sure the chlorination rate meets the Ontario swimming pool regulations
Negative experience: Can the gym enforce the cleaning of machines.... I've never been to a gym with such unhygienic individuals... no one wipes the machines down so I'm always sick... which prevents me from going to the gym! The hand sanitizer is also always empty! very simple requests. Edit: added a photo from a recent visit. Do better.
Negative experience: LA fitness used to be a good gym, now it’s way overcrowded. They should open a new location in the area to combat the demand. The the overpopulation the service and experience has become very poor.

Fantastic experience: I've been using this location since April 2023, and the gym is extremely clean. I see this one lady who vacuums throughly, even in and around the equipment. The female change/shower area and lockers are, again, extremely clean. I even saw a man washing the ball scrub marks on the wall in the squash court one day. The cleaning team meets very high standards. Thank you.

Negative experience: They are literally thieves. I wanted to cancel my membership with them, called them. They said you can’t cancel via a phone call and you have to come over in person. Went there, an extremely rude lady with a guy were there to help. They said it is cancelled and you don’t need to do anything. A month later, I noticed they have deducted the monthly amount, when called, they said your memberships is not cancelled! When I said I did, they said you would have received an email. When I told them I never received the email and if you want, you can check the cameras and check if I was there, they said no need to check the cameras. They didn’t even care if their employee made a mistake and didn’t cancel the membership. But surprisingly, this time the cancelled the membership via a phone call haha I just hope this time it is cancelled. I will never ever go to LA fitness! They are there to just steal your money.
Positive experience: I have been coming to this gym for years. The staff is nice and the gym is very big with enough classes . Sometimes the jacuzzi does not work and that is a problem. Also they allow kids (I don’t know why) but that is a problem too. Otherwise it is clean in a great location with ample parking.
Negative experience: The manager does not care about the people who belong and help to develop his business, so I just canceled the membership because I am strongly disappointed with this kind of manager.
Negative experience: Washrooms are filthy, half the time theres no soap or paper towels. They make you download an app to scan in, yet cant be bothered to post holiday hours in the app, instead they print out a piece of paper and stick it on the door. They gave all new members two free guest privileges, which made the gym much more busy, while existing members got nothing. Gym has gone downhill over the past few years ive been a member.
Negative experience: I first agreed to a pricey 1-year contract which they promised me the best service/trainer + result. Half way through the contract they said their policy changed and now they asked me even more money otherwise they won't allow me to train anymore. Haha you decide for yourself if this kind of service is worth your money and trust or not
Negative experience: I cannot emphasize enough how horrible my experience was at this location. I had been on the fence about choosing between GoodLife and LA for a while, and they made my decision incredibly easy, albeit in the worst way possible. The staff at this gym were incredibly rude, despite never having used a free pass for LA (any location), I was denied my free-pass because my phone number was listed in their system four times. This occurred because I had previously visited different locations to just inquire about membership options and check out the vibe. So, apparently, their system counts these inquiries as free passes, Although I explained this clearly to them several times, no one believed me! which is beyond ridiculous! To top it all off, I wasted one and a half hours for: registering online, getting ready, driving there, filling out some forms and being met with such a disrespectful attitude was beyond belief. @LaFitness: You really need to do something about this location, or you'll continue to drive customers away.
Positive experience: Very large gym with lots of amenities. Wasn't impressed with the cleanliness though lots of dumbells, barbells and plates not put away. My first visit was a Saturday morning One good thing. They give you a 3 day free guest pass. Just could have been cleaner.
Fantastic experience: If we're talking about Lina Hamilton's Zumba classes, I would give this gym 100 stars!!! Lina created such a welcoming Zumba community here. I danced with her several times and she brought so much joy to me and to everyone else around her. Lina allowed me to be my genuine-self without any hesitations or fear. No judgement. I got to dance like no one was watching. I miss her so much. I miss dancing with her. I miss Lina's Zumba classes. I'm sure the rest of her Zumba community felt the same way. Please L.A. Fitness, do the right thing and bring her back. Zumba is never going to be same unless it's Lina's. I've been to her class and I saw different age groups, and different backgrounds. Everyone was so happy to be there and her classes are always FULL! I remember this older lady who came into her class one night with her walker, and she danced beautifully in the corner. She teared up with so much gratitude and joy after her class and showed her appreciation. I will never forget that moment. We miss you Lina. Please come back!

Negative experience: I used to be an active member of LA Fitness up until the Summer of 2022. Not sure how the gym is like now in 2023, but I’ll share my experience of the gym: The only staff I consider to be nice and authentic was Alisha and a few others (I don’t remember their names). Ian, who was the Sales Manager back in 2022 (he no longer works there now) was rude and fake. When I first took an interest to this gym, I took advantage of their Free Pass as any cautious customer would before handing over their hard-earned money. I found Ian incredibly rude when he was “mocking” me that I was still using the Free Pass on my third day, and that it was “Lame”. This was very rude and unacceptable! As a Sales Manager I understand that you need to “draw in” customers to sign up for the membership, however THIS IS NOT how you draw in customers. Jokingly mocking people will not drive up your fiscal quarterly sales LOL. Back then, I overlooked these things as I wanted to start embarking a healthy lifestyle in the gym. Now going into the details of the gym, I have to agree with what the others say. Barbells and weights are scattered throughout the gym. You have CREEPS and OLD MEN eyeing you as you workout (ladies watch out). I have been approached and followed by numerous old men and it was not fun at all. Keep in mind that this is NOT AN ALL WOMENS GYM. Beware of creeps! Equipment is always reeking of sweat and you’ll need to be responsible for wiping them down yourself. Also, people hog the machines and go on their phones whilst doing nothing. The pool is always somewhat cold and feels gross and the jacuzzi is always broken (apparently still is). The front desk staff are all undertrained and have 0 customer service. Do not give into their “Personal Trainer” promotion, I fell for it and had to WAIT 3 WEEKS TO GET MY $600 REFUND BACK. All because they didn’t queue in my request to the main office. WHAT A JOKE. I am happy that I WILL NOT BE RESUMING MY MEMBERSHIP HERE. As a female, I don’t feel safe working out at this gym. If you’re cautious about being approached or stared it, do yourself a favour and go to a womens-only gym. Good riddance :)
Negative experience: I’ve been going here since 2013 and ever since Covid hit and they created that guest pass special it’s turned into a social venue for people to stand around and talk and take up equipment, it’s just a shame since this once was a very good gym.
Fantastic experience: The gym is a fairly decent size with a variety of machines and weights. Though, the chief reason I enjoy coming to this particular gym is to take part in the yoga classes hosted by instructor, Patricia. Patricia’s an incredible teacher, ensuring everyone’s safety and comfortability throughout the class by periodically checking-in, providing safety tips and fixing poses. Patricia hosts invigorating and restorative classes for all ages and levels, leaving you relaxed and clear-headed with a boost of serotonin to get you through the rest of your day. 10/10 highly recommend.
Negative experience: This location isn't very good...pool only seems to be operational occasionally as something always happens where it's unavailable...pool also had limited inspection pass several times...staff is mediocre at best there is only a handful of staff that are always pleasant... Also had an experience where I came with my bike but forgot my lock so I tried to leave it between the front doors exit...as I tried to check in a sales staff person came up to me and said I cusnt park it there...I said ok I'm just gonna swipe in and I'll move it...then the same sales person instructed to front desk not to even let me swipe in until I moved it...treated me like I was some hoodlum...almost canceled my membership right there and then...needless to say I cursed at that person...like many gyms don't come between 5-9pm crazy packed....some machines seem to always need fixing and even the main water fountain sometimes....DONT COME TO THIS LOCATION!!!!!!
Negative experience: They will be all smiles until you start the membership. The moment you give the money and expect value they will stop caring. Nobody responds and when you talk to people they will ask you to wait for a response. Don't go here, Danforth is a much better option.
Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of embarking on a fitness journey over 6 months ago under the guidance of an outstanding trainer, Moe. Negative experience: Too small. Limited workout items. Pool stays closed to long for repair, and its never warm like advertized. The jacuzzi is always broken down. Rude staff, not all specifically Alishia. Its not the same as before covid. New and unprofessional staff. Kennedy Commons their pool was fixed in 1 day. The head office don't do anything and one person made fun off me! I couldn't believe it. I'll be leaving soon. Manager Faith at head office never called back or return requested calls. This place is going down hill.
Negative experience: Incompetent staff. Usually a teenager at the front who doesn’t even pay attention to who they’re letting it. Don’t waste your money on person training, you will get locked into a 1-year contract while the trainers spend more time on their phones then actually helping you improve. Gym equipment is in dire need of repair. Save your hard-earned money and go elsewhere.
Positive experience: I feel like some of the machines here are a bit outdated even with the Life Fitness brand. Definitely more amenities than your average GoodLife though. Giving it 3 stars solely because there are no equipment disinfectants easily available. In this day and age it's a necessity.
Negative experience: update: again the weights were gone. zumba teacher took it. talked with manager SHE said ‘cnt help you going home’. talked to the other manager he said ‘do the alternate cnt do anything and he cnt talk to zumba teacher about it’. wish i could give it ZERO! save your money guys!! dnt sign up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m coming to this gym from last three years. So today came to gym and whole weight section was empty. spent 20 mins just looking for weights. and it turned out the zumba class has all the weights. they should have separate weights for zumba, not picking up weights from the weight section. zumba teacher should know about this too as there must be other people waiting. nobody is going to wait until her class is over so her students can return the weight. nobody from the management even check and they don’t really care but they do care only when they are selling you the membership. won’t recommended this gym!
Positive experience: Great total fitness gym with many emenities to offer. Haven't been for a few months but it is nice.
Fantastic experience: Pretty much what you expect from a gym. So far, machines are all in good conditions, cardio equipments are also working fine.
Negative experience: $150 to sign up is unfair. Specially when the gym has nothing better to provide than any other gym. And it's always busy.
Negative experience: Brown dude with a glasses on kicked me out of the gym with a valid week pass because he wanted me to pay extra $20 for day pass. I recommend getting membership from another sales people or other LA locations. They want you to pay more so they get more commission.
Fantastic experience: The staff is very friendly and helpful. The equipment is top-notch, with a great variety of machines and weights to choose from.
Negative experience: Pool is closed for maintenance during peak hours, no soap at wash basins, emergency exit often blocked by cleaning cart. ultra poor customer service - accidentally left my bag in mens locker room - no one cooperated, no one moved from their seats to help me find it, told me probably someone took it and they can’t do anything (without any effort of finding it)
Negative experience: The guy Avery(black guy) at the front desk is unprofessional. Does not greet every single customer when they walk in and scan their card. He will sit there and ignore your existance. Also mind you he kisses up his co-worker girlfriend by the front. Higher more professional staff please.
Fantastic experience: This is a pretty good place to workout. I do not prefer going in the evenings as it’s very busy at that time. Morning are usually not so packed so you’ll get the machines without waiting.
Positive experience: Overall the Vic Park and DonMills gyms are nice. Equipment is very good and the facility is huge. You almost never have to wait in line for equipment. Cons: changerooms and showers could be much cleaner. They are a bit smelly and delapated. There are no spray bottles to wipe down any of the equipment in any of the LA gyms. They only seem to have paper towels and sanitizer gel. Seems like a no brainer to me. Room for improvement, for sure.
Fantastic experience: Toni Fahem is a brilliant personal trainer as he navigated my needs and weaknesses throughout my fitness journey. He is very patient and encouraging. After taking a long break in fitness, I was quite unsure how motivated I’ll be in training however he made my experience at the gym very comfortable and enjoyable. I definitely recommend him especially he sets challenges and pushes you to strive in your gym goals.
Positive experience: Joined this fitness club in January this year. I had PT Toni Fahem. Personable and professional guy. Motivated me to work harder with training to stay fit. Thank you Toni.
Fantastic experience: Personal trainer,Toni Fahem is one of the most knowledgeable trainer I have ever seen, he is flexible, motivated and professional, he brought me closer to my goal in a short period of time. I heard that he is no longer accompanying the brunch, in my opinion, LA Fitness has lost a valuable trainer.
Positive experience: @ personal trainer Toni Fahem I had 3 lessons with him but in that time I did some good progress and he had been really kind and patient and helpful , he is attentive to what you want to adress and what you able to do and push you at the right level
Negative experience: Was there on April 2 2023 and every stall in men's washroom was out of toilet paper and dirty. The solution was to keep a roll on top of hand towels. Reminded me of what they do in a third world country. I've seen the men's was room missing hand towel even with a pandemic. Why can they not provide us the basic washrooms necessaries... do we have to bring out own TP?
Negative experience: They can add a few more machines cause during rush-hour this place is JAM PACKED with people…young people in groups too! Also - the heat is up way too high so people sweat too easily.
Negative experience: This location has degraded over the past year. Hot tub is more often closed than open and male sauna broken. There were many free/guest passes given away and the place became supper crowded.
Negative experience: Literally the worst La fitness I’ve experienced. If there was zero stars rating, I’d give that. I’ve been to la fitness all over canada and the u.s. and this is the only one that has the sauna and hot tubs closed half the year (hot tub more so). Also when the sauna is open they always close it 1 hour before closing. I’ve been to at least 10 other la fitness in toronto, and various u.s locations and this is the only one that closes the sauna an hour early. La fitness Head office should really have a talk with the management here.
Positive experience: The staff is very nice. The gym has a lot of machines, ones are old, but in good condition. We didn't have to wait for the use of it (Friday 10 am).
Negative experience: I jointed LA Fitness In 2019 and it been Great All areas was opened to members when I first Joined Until now that one area was closed for only members who has a trainer. I went to the desk and was told that I can still use the area for my workout until this morning when one of the trainer approached me and asked " do you have a trainer with us" I said no n he said " you cannot be in this are unless u have a trainer" so basically he is telling me to GET OUT. I told the staff that I will have to cancel my membership and his respond to me was " GO AHEAD AND CANCLE". Most of the staff there is very Unprofessional and Rude. To be honest, I was hurt and disappointed because the gym does not have a women section and the one area where most women are comfortable to get there workout done was suddenly closed , I had to leave immediately because it felt like they were watching over my shoulders, like they were watching my every move and not just me, they are watching everyone's move so that they can run them out as well. Never going back there.
Fantastic experience: This is the best LA fitness in east Toronto. The staff are amazing, alway friendly and very helpful. The facilities are clean, clean, clean. I appreciate the care that the staff put into ensuring that clients are happy. Can't say enough about this location.

Fantastic experience: I signed up for LA today and everyone was super friendly. The lady working at the front desk was super nice and made me feel welcome. Aaron helped me with signing up and walked me through the pricing and paperwork. Super friendly staff
Fantastic experience: Unfortunately, the hot tub is not properly cleaned everyday, and usually broken. The shower stalls have more flying things than outside, usually never paper towels in the machines... but great friendly atmosphere, staff and customers.

Fantastic experience: These 5 stars go Lina H, Leah L , Tristan C, Yuliya A. and John Kim K. I enjoy their classes as they are professional, passionate and serious on what they are doing. It would be nice if classes such pilates to be twice a week in evenings. I go to Eglinton location, the staff is friendly and welcoming, but sometimes there is dust on the floor and it's visible when we do mat exercises.
Negative experience: The warden location of LA fitness is ok, the staff is extremely unprofessional. you can see STAFF members at night kissing each other (the reception desk male and the sale girl-her name is aveer I believe) or one of the sales guy hanging out, screaming and partying with his other singer friends at night time before closing at the desk. this gym has zero level of professionalism in it. This gym needs a professional staff, I understand we all have a private life, but we can't bring this to our professional life. I do hope the higher level will see my review and decide to take some action by installing cameras around where the staff is as this behavior is extremely unprofessional.
