Fantastic experience: 15 bucks and so many equipment. i love when i am here

Fantastic experience: This Planet Fitness is amazing since the renovation, everything is clean, new equipment and most importantly some really wonderful staff (Kayla and Jamar). They are so friendly, attentive and professional I always look forward to their friendly greeting and assistance when I visit. Thank you Kayla and Jamar for all that you do, I appreciate you both.

Negative experience: Scammed 25$ for late fee when it was possible to cut off from my credit card as a back up payment fee.

Negative experience: Let me explain why Planet fitness is a scam, first they asked me to include my debit card for primary payment and credit card for backup payment. And as there was a mistake from their side to deduct the monthly 16$ fee, their mishap led to the fee not being deducted. And now they stated that I will have to pay extra $25 late payment fee. Is that not stupid, and guess what they deducted that $25 from my back up credit card. It’s so easy to earn money right pf. And the manager Christine of this location learn some professionalism please. Isn’t it a simple logic that if you could deduct the late fee from my back up credit card then why did you not deduct the monthly fee from my back up credit card you scammer mentality.

Negative experience: Worst receptionist who are unaware of how things work. They are very good at scamming. They are very good at taking your cash away.

Negative experience: I canceled my membership with them.last year around June -July of 2023 the worker over their told me my membership would be canceled they have been charging me via direct deposit for a over a year now and after giving them a call they told mw they have no record of my cancelation and that I must send them an email again to cancel. I recall last time they did the same thing after this happened and they refused they have any record of the cancelation. I TOLD THEM why would I keep a gym membership for Ontario when I've moved to MONTREAL QUEBEC she said their was card change in FEBRUARY SO how is that possible IF SHE knew that this isn't a credit CARD BUT DIRECR DEPOSIT it automatically changes on you accounts that are set up. This is why I did not know about it. (Since I had lost my old debit card ) I've filled a former complaint with Ontario consumer protection against the gym let's see if they do anything about this scam of keeping ppl signed on and charging them after multiple requests. Horrible service. Do not sigh with them

Fantastic experience: I've tried several gyms but what I love most is the fact that this gym is on one floor and the layout is great. The team members are friendly and they keep the gym clean. It's always a pleasure to work out here.

Fantastic experience: Always hear about this gyms and thought it was time to go back to the gym after months of not doing it. The place is really nice, affordable and they have so many nice features and lots of equipment so you’re never waiting for something. Only thing I would say that could be an added touch would be to have a 2nd water station

Fantastic experience: This planet fitness is quite new. It is very spacious and clean. The staff are helpful. The layout is visually appealing. As with all planet fitness locations, the membership is very reasonably priced. This location has a Recovry lounge/ Cryolounge; I've never seen a location with that before. It's great if you like heat or cold therapy. As always, a great experience with planet fitness.

Fantastic experience: Been coming here for well over a year now so I saw the transition of the renovation, was great then even better now. I do come very early in the morning so it's never busy everyone's usually leaving when I'm coming so machines are always available. Staff are great, if they're not cleaning they're usually attending to customers.Great location great gym

Fantastic experience: Recently this location has an renovation upgrade: better equipment, more space, and better design. Almost all the stuffs are very nice: specially Maria who also greet and assist me every time when I visit.

Negative experience: I’ve had multiple negative experiences with the front desk staff at this gym. They’re consistently rude and respond to questions or requests with attitude, making it feel unwelcoming. A simple question shouldn’t come with such poor treatment.

Negative experience: If you want to hit the gym after work it will take you 2 hours to finish a 30 minutes session , the occupancy meter is not accurate , I guess that its taking the treadmils as a reference ( its less occupied and not representing the occupancy status ) , to be honest , I used to love this gym , but now will start to look for an alternative .

Negative experience: This location of planet fitness is a bullshit gym, staff members are unfriendly and rude, not giving a solution to any conversation and they even billed you after your subscription is cancelled. Say no to PF.❌ Good life is so better than this.

Negative experience: Avoid this location if you shower after your workouts, constantly down. No notice given to members except for a sign beside the showers.

Positive experience: I recently visited this Planet Fitness location after their renovation, and I’m impressed with the updates. The new leg extension, seated leg curl, and leg adduction machines from Matrix are fantastic. They’re very adjustable, allowing me to load my muscles at longer lengths, which is great for a more effective workout. The machines now keep track of your reps and have a built-in timer, which is a nice feature. However, the rep counter didn’t always register properly when I used a partial range of motion, and the timer times out after 1:30, which can be a bit limiting. One thing I wish they had done with the renovation is add more machines and Smith machines, especially since there seems to be enough space for it. The gym does get quite busy during peak times, so more equipment would help alleviate the wait. Overall, the quality of the gym is great, but I recommend avoiding peak times if possible.

Fantastic experience: The renovation made this planet fitness way better than before, now with new and more equipment I feel more motivated to train. I tried to go to other locations during the renovation but none of them were good as this one. For the price I pay, this gym is totally worth it.

Fantastic experience: It's hard to tell from the outside but this location is very spacious. Plenty of equipment, however I do feel like there are one or two things they should double up on. There is certainly space available to add more machines. Side rooms are set up very nicely with no need to worry about others. Even the massage beds are placed in individual rooms which is very nice and private.

Negative experience: Coming here since 2 years! Dealing with some saftey issues past couple months with an uncle with some of his friends staring in a vulgar way. Friendly staff but no actions taken. Pls do sm about it not just for me but other females as well who cant complain and be bold enough to do so! Thanks

Negative experience: I recently had a disappointing experience at this location.About a month ago, I lost my bag at the gym and immediately informed 2-3 staff members about it. Each one assured me they would inform their manager and get back to me. I even followed up multiple times, both in person and over the phone, but despite these reassurances, no action has been taken. It's now been over a month without any updates or follow-up. The lack of communication and responsibility is quite frustrating. It's discouraging to see such poor customer service, especially when one expects a certain level of reliability and support from the staff. I hope the management addresses this issue and improves their handling of such incidents in the future.

Fantastic experience: Staff is very friendly, lots of fitness machines. My only complain is the men's changeroom. No exhaust, smells awful. Edit: as of September 22, 2024, after the renovation, everything was clean. No awful smells no nothing.

Fantastic experience: I love my gym and the staff keep it clean. But honestly the members should help also by cleaning the machines before and after each use. To help the staff also. Christine and Staff make it the best. Hands down alot better then westdale planet fitness

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming here for a few months now and have been loving it. The staff are all friendly and helpful, gym is always clean and pretty maintained. Other gym goers are mostly kind and courteous. The friendliness of the staff and welcoming environment they create is what encouraged me to sign up and is what keeps me coming back. I now visit between 4-5 times a week and also frequently enjoy the black card area as well, the hydro massage and tanning were a nice bonus to an already great membership price. As someone who is a gym newbie- this gym and the staff offer everything I’m looking for- a friendly, welcoming environment that’s kept clean and functional. A few minor cons - it’s sometimes very busy - especially early in the week, usually evenings. However they do offer a crowd meter on the app that allows you to see how busy the gym is prior to arriving. It’s hard to get certain machines sometimes, only 1 time out of 3 months coming here have I been lucky enough to score a smith machine with no wait, having 1 or 2 more would be so nice! A few lockers in the women’s locker room have small repairs that could be done to help with ensuring your personal items can be safely stored away. There’s a few lockers missing screws / the lock holder is broken and you are unable to lock up your things in those lockers. There are many to chose from, however I’ve heard theft is sometimes a problem here, fixing them would ensure theft is less likely to happen.

Negative experience: Someone stole a lot of money from me inside the gym, they broke my lock and took my things. They never allowed me to see the cameras and they just tell me that the only thing I have to do is wait because they couldn't see anything on the cameras. Zero support from the team and the manager, I do not recommend it at all, it is not a safe place to train.

Fantastic experience: The gym is kept very clean. The staff who work there is amazing. Very friendly and helpful. Kayla was extremely helpful in providing accurate information and was a pleasure to deal with! :)

Fantastic experience: Im a regular at this gym for the past year and a half . Fareed left the greatest impression on me because of his work ethic. He is always busy doing something. When he is there, the gym is in perfect condition, never any missing paper towels, benches are where they're supposed to be, machines are working perfectly. He even goes above and beyond accommodating members. One time he was even watching their dog while the member went to work out.

Negative experience: From 6-10pm Monday to Thursdays the place has been crazy busy lately. Not comfortable at all. Tons of folks standing around. And the smell during these hours is atrocious. Also seen kids 7-10 years old walking around in boots and coats.

Fantastic experience: Tatiana is a true asset to Planet Fitness & this location. I have recently signed up here & from the very first day Tatiana has consistently provided excellent client care & has maintained a positive & friendly disposition throughout each and every inquiry & interaction that was presented. I would certainly recommend Planet Fitness Mississauga East to others due to my experience here thus far & especially Tatiana's eagerness to to help & her genuine professionalism at every turn!

Positive experience: The Gym is not bad considering what you are paying more. I do find this gym has a lot more machine than free weight options. The squat rack is only a smith machine which can be beneficial to some and not others

Positive experience: Just wish they had better in house music and the change rooms smelled...... Less change roomy. You know the smell. Otherwise for a gym on a budget it's great new management seems to working on things. I miss some of the old staff tho.

Positive experience: I really love this place, all the time is very clean or at least the staff always do the best, sadly not some users, would be very nice to have another "pec deck" machine, just one for all the gym is too short.

Fantastic experience: UPDATE: THEY RENOVATED IT I appreciate an affordable 24/7 gym . But man, the men’s locker room is basically a war zone. The smell made me almost throw up ( luckily I was on an empty stomach ) this is absolutely insane and you guys need to install some exhaust fans in the bathrooms and in the change areas. Also a sign reminding people to wear deorderant not cologne would be great. It smells like raw sewage and the strongest body odour known to man kind . Ive been to other gyms and none of them are like that . In general the bathroom area needs some updates, some lockers aren’t lockable due to cutting locks , the showers are falling apart, and the smell is incredible in a bad way. Please fix up guys I don’t wanna change my gym .

Positive experience: Not for the people who are into weight lifting. They don't have much weights. the heaviest dumbbells is 75lbs. Very good for cardio lover though. Friendly staff. Good Environment. The parking spot can be inconvenient for some.

Positive experience: Plenty of machines available even during peak hours.Entire facility including gym area,equipment,washrooms are very well maintained.Would recommend black card subscription that gives you access to spa and massage area as well.24hrs *7 makes it easily accessible according to your convenience.Enjoying my fitness journey.

Fantastic experience: Planet Fitness is hands down one of the best gyms I’ve ever been a part of, and it truly deserves every one of these 5 stars. The atmosphere is always friendly and inclusive, making every visit a pleasure. The staff is super helpful and approachable, and the facilities are clean and well-maintained.

Negative experience: It’s easy to workout in this gym. Everyone minds their own business. And the gym is so huge that you can easily get lost without being in anyone’s business. The only downside is the amount of treadmills. They are never used at 100% capacity. Instead they should add more smith machines, 3 more minimum (currently 4 in total) as they are always the most popular by users at any time of day. Even at 6am when I go gets busy. Not crowded but busy. Edit, January 2024: "I've decided to leave this gym. I used to come in at 5 am daily, but the smith machines were always taken for a minimum of 45 minutes. There were even groups of people who held the machines for the next group. I reported the issue to the front desk, but they just shrugged their shoulders. Now, I'm shrugging my shoulders and leaving for another, more expensive gym.

Positive experience: Very affordable membership fees,there is no scale in this gym ,i don't know why !!!! ,poor of chest bench

Negative experience: This gym is too packed with teens during the summer. Planet Fitness allows all teenagers from ages 14-19 to access the gym for free during the summer months. This makes it virtually impossible to get in a good workout. The gym seems more like a high school hangout than a fitness gym. There is already not enough benches and dumbbells, and now it's even worse. Good luck waiting on any exercise machines, as it will be an extremely long wait. it's so bad at times that I'm considering cancelling my membership during the summer and paying more to join another gym. Goodlife is also allowing teens to use the gym for free during the summer months. However, Goodlife seems to be doing right. Teens joining Goodlife's free program must attend an orientation class. They only allow teens who join the program to come in between certain times and they limit which workout equipment they can use. Planet fitness please learn from Goodlife!!! And please put your paying customers first!!!!

Negative experience: It a hassle to cancel the membership, I had to go there 7 times just to cancel my membership and the manger is always somewhere or break roaming around with her boyfriend. The manger took my number to cancel and even after two weeks she didn't cancel and the staff is rude. I would never suggest anyone to join this gym.

Positive experience: Good place. Mainly cardio based (like all Planet Fitnesses), but there are still a reasonable amount of weight oriented machines. Ab machines are all appreciated. Staff is also adequate. Washrooms and change rooms are usually always kept in good condition. Monthly subscription fee is also really good. An adequate gym that provides everything you need unless you want to become a bodybuilder

Negative experience: I cancelled a couple of days before my monthly payments and they are still charging from my bank account and I cannot do anything about it. They take your bank details during registration and deny credit cards so they can keep charging us even if we want to cancel. Please don't fall for such BS. Stay AWAY from this club.

Positive experience: The gym is is decent overall however the cable system is poorly maintained Edit: I previously reached out to staff - no action was taken. Equipment has been out for over a week.

Negative experience: I had been a member of this gym for almost a year, but I stopped going in 2023. When I called to request a cancellation, they informed me that I would need to do it in person. However, due to being out of town, I was unable to do so. Despite this, they continued to charge my account for the last 3-4 months. I find this situation completely unreasonable as I have not used any of the gym's facilities during this time. I used to think highly of this gym when I was a regular member, but their unwillingness to work with me in this situation has eroded my trust in them. I cannot in good conscience recommend this gym to others based on their current actions.

Fantastic experience: Haven't been to a gym in 30 years. My son finally got me to go after nagging for a year. Had a great experience. Signed him and I up for memberships before we left

Fantastic experience: Excellent. Staff are friendly and helpful. The gym floor is always clean, and the changerooms are decent. For the money, you can't beat Planet Fitness.

Negative experience: We've been members for over 4 years. Things were great for the first few years...gym was clean and staff was always proactive in maintaining the equipment and keeping things clean and well stocked (spray bottles filled, paper towel and toilet paper full, garbages empty). Over the past 6 months there have been a lot of changes: machines break down often and take long to fix, staff are always chatting or on their phone (don't acknowledge your arrival or departure), gym is dirty, paper towel and toilet paper empty....it seems that the new staff is not properly trained and/or generally lazy - we are currently looking at other options...willing to pay a little more to have a clean and maintained gym

Negative experience: I GOT ROBBED HERE. Someone broke the lock on my locker and stole everything. My car keys, my winter boots, headphones, sunglasses. While the staff was super nice and super helpful. I appreciate them for that. Unfortunately, i have to let everyone know that theft is present at this gym and that the person still has a membership there.

Positive experience: Some machines stay broken for weeks. No toilet paper 25% of the time in the washrooms. Decent equipment. Overpacked during rush hour like any gym, not enough mirrors for a gym which is odd. Younger pre teen crowd which is a downside as well. Parking during rush hour is impossible, but there is parking at the back. Also leaving the lot is very difficult.

Negative experience: I was always a fan of this gym and always recommended it until the past year. I went in to cancel my membership a year ago due to never using it. I am displeased to find out that it was never cancelled and I have been paying for it for the past year. When I called in, they had told me their worker had failed to cancel and because of it they would reimburse me for 3 months. Then spoke to a manager who told me she would call me back regarding the refund for the rest of the year. It has been 2-3 weeks since that last call. I have not recieved the 3 month return payment nor have I got a response or solution to the rest of the year return. Terrible customer service, will reconsider recommending this gym to others from here on.

Negative experience: My rating is based on staff.. they are always at the front chatting and socializing while the gym equipment is not being maintained, most times it's dirty, and the washrooms, tanning rooms, front area, ALWAYS dirty. No one wipes down the tanning rooms when done, there's garbage on the floors in these rooms, another sign of staff not up keeping the gym. Great location, HORRIBLE staff and maintainance

Fantastic experience: The price is cheaper than Fit 4 Less. I can't speak about other locations but this one is clean and the staff are super friendly and helpful.

Fantastic experience: As an average intermediate person that uses the Gym to gain and maintain a high degree of fitness this place has everything I need. It is large and very clean. The people who use this gym are also silent and clean individuals who mind their own business. there is never any trouble here. During certain times in certain days it might seem a bit crowded but 9/10 times it is good. I almost never have to wait for someone to vacate a machine. There is a bit of an imbalance in their machines tho. the ratio of Cardio to non-cardio machines are 4:1. Generally good gym that has everything a beginner & intermediate needs.

Positive experience: It's a good place. The staff is very helpful. So I recommend everybody to visit this gym. But sometimes necessary equipment stays broken too long.

Fantastic experience: Great, Everything you need in a Gym, good equipments and never have to wait for so long to use a machine as there are multiple machines for each exercise. This political scam from Justin Trudeau in the media about climate when not even 1cm of snow. Yet the TVs were left on playing garbage cp24 propaganda. Can the gym kindly stop playing cp24 and CNN at the gym, we come to work out not hear politics or Covid scams, thankss

Positive experience: Very convenient if you live a very busy lifestyle. There is a black lady name Teisha who works there, she is very helpful and friendly and she also works very hard.

Fantastic experience: Very clean and good location. Friendly staff. Only problem with planet fitness is they do not have healthy selection of drinks. None of the location in GTAA carries healthy drinks. Wish to see management change this in near future. Otherwise it is good.

Fantastic experience: I have gone to this location for over a year. It is a perfect gym to start training at. It has a great amount it machines, cardio equipment, free weights and big stretching area. The gym is also super clean especially the change rooms/ washrooms compared to other commercial gyms in the area. Only complaint is sometimes staff doesn’t greet/ say bye to you at the door and are talking amongst themselves. Overall great gym & highly recommend for the price.

Positive experience: It’s a good place for workout but most of the space is covered with cardio equipment which is mostly not in use. They should increase the number of other machines, for instance they just have one pec deck fly, and you rarely get a chance to use it.

Fantastic experience: One of the best place to gym amd work out 24x7. Amazing equipment and mordern ones with huge spaces. The rates are quite affordable and one can easy get access to through public transportation.

Negative experience: Beware. This is the kind of gym that will catch you in a ridiculous contract. I would have given this gym 4-stars for the cleanliness, which is excellent, and a decent equipment selection for the price. But i only got this membership for when i was commuting to Toronto from Montreal every few months. I even got the premium 'Black Card' membership when i wanted to use a gym in Florida. Bit of an extravagant expense, i know, but i am very determined to stay consistent with my training. I think i was a good member, especially considering my sporadic use. I explained this situation when i signed up. When my situation changed and I stopped commuting to Toronto, I called to ask how to proceed, considering i would not be going physically go to the location. I was given a solution, and I followed the steps they recommended. They did not respond, and they continued to charge me for the membership. I have been a member of many gyms on multiple continents. This is the most ridiculous cancellation process i have had to deal with. Their policy requires that you cancel in person. If you can't cancel in person, you're supposed to email. There's no email address for this location on their website. The staff member i spoke to did not know what it was. They had to call me back to give it to me, which fortunately they did. But I did not receive a response when i sent the email. They take their payment directly from your checking account... Hope this becomes a cautionary tale for the next person, and that they eventually cancel my membership and process a refund for the additional charges. You may enjoy the membership now, but you will inevitably have to cancel one day, and it will be a problem. I will update this review if there is any development.

Negative experience: What kind of place won't accept debit card payments lmao its $30 a month.. even la fitness takes debit card lmfao. I called my nearest location and was told even if I come in they only accept visa & Mastercard..

Fantastic experience: Compare to the yonge and college location this gym has much more equipment, one can get their workout done and it's more spacious without having to deal with all the social media kids on their phone taking up space and not working out. I recommend this location if you want to get your workout done.

Positive experience: I would give this a 5 star, but I dislike how they don't have free barbells (you cannot work on your balance when you bench press). All you got is bunch of Smith machines-- which limits your mobility. I recommend it for newbies

Positive experience: Good gym, plenty of space and machines & predictable busy times . My only complaint is that the 30 min workout isn't monitored and there's always at least one man (sorry men, in my experience it's always a dude) who sits on one machine, occasionally using it, but mostly just playing on his phone, and buggers the circuit for everyone else. Super frustrating when you want to use the circuit on your lunch break or only have a limited amount of time to spend at the gym. Front desk staff are young and not looking for a confrontation with anyone (I don't blame them), so nothing ever changes.

Positive experience: This branch is better than other branches so far, only issues are: Machines going “Temporarily out of order” often & no Air conditioner in this hot summer!

Positive experience: Seems small from the outside but it's actually fairly large with lots of equipment and amenities inside. For the price you pay, it's really worth it, even the PF black membership at $25/mth which gives you unlimited hydro massages, red light therapy, massage chairs, tanning, etc. all for free. The only thing I would add is a room with mirrors for people who want to do their own cardio, and some more horizontal machines for bench press.

Fantastic experience: Planet Fitness is a great gym, whether you’re working out or just hitting the massage beds, the staff make it a welcoming environment and you never feel out of place! I go between the DuPont and Dundas locations, and they’re both great.

Fantastic experience: Would definitely recommend- very good value for money, clean, comfortable and considerate staff/members at this location. You can get a good workout in- has everything you might need and enough space to use it comfortably. Bonus would be the very helpful and friendly staff, always welcoming.

Positive experience: You can get a solid workout here, but after using this specific location for about a year now, there are a couple issues that prevent it from getting a 5 star rating... The first problem would be the limited amount of strength machines. There is not enough, even though they have plenty of space to add a few more. At least 2 of each machine would be nice. The second issue is the long downtimes for equipment repairs. It takes them 2-3 weeks to repair a machine! And What's worse is that the broken machine is the only one of its kind in that facility! Which goes to my first problem of not having a second identical machine available... On a brighter note, I have to commend the staff for doing an excellent job at keeping the facility clean, liquids and paper towels topped up and well maintained. Bottom line is that they need to be quicker with equipment repairs and acquire more strength machines.

Fantastic experience: This is my favourite gym I’ve ever belonged to. Super clean. Big and open. Really good vibe. Love it.

Positive experience: Great gym for beginners. It’s nice, clean and cheap, isn’t as bad as you think it is. Staff is here pretty nice and chill. Not full 5 stars because wish it had a big less cardio machine for a small place like this, if it was much bigger, it would be understandable.

Positive experience: Bathrooms are clean, people seem friendly but when it gets busy its hard to access certain machines. I bought the black card membership to work out with a friend, since you get to bring a friend each time. Not really using the other privileges so cant comment on that.

Negative experience: It looks like affordable place to workout. But if you take a closer look the negative side of it by far overcoming it's pluses. Stuffs unknowable, place quite dirty. Quite often broken pieces of equipment isn't getting fixed. Overall, all of them getting runned chiply. PF is ok only for those who haven't been in other fitness clubs. And only one advise - don't step barefoot anywhere - I spent huge amount of money for three months going to foot clinic trying to get rid of the fungus.

Negative experience: If you work a 9-5 job it is not a good gym to join. From 5 to 8 it is crazy crowded. Usually with people who are more interested in sitting on the machines and texting or taking selfies. 10 dollar memberships mean you will have to deal with people who aren't really serious about getting a workout. If you are one of these people, this is definitely the place for you. Also, they raised my membership fee without so much as an email to tell me they were raising it. I found out when I checked my bank account. Kinda underhanded business practice.

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, clean and tidy all the time. Evenings are little crowded, but you can check the app for crowd meter before you drop in

Positive experience: It’s a good gym to get a decent workout in. Upside is prices are affordable and large open spaces but the downside is they don’t have adequate equipment for more experienced lifters. Dumbbells go up to 75lbs and they only offer smith machines, limited free weights.

Negative experience: I was member for 4years my monthly payment 11.30 $ 3days ago I was checked my account ifound out the charging me for 6 months 29$ when I went to ask the front desk why the said because you are on block card I told her I don’t know what this card and I didn’t sign for any change she told I want asking the manager her name Amanda and she back to me to till me we are sorry this is by accident we will back to normal monthly payments for next month I told this not good you have to refund my money back she said come tomorrow when I back next day she said no we can’t refund any money I told her this is mean you still me money she did nt answer I canceled my membership with them and I wish all the members check always because this company she will try to still money

Positive experience: Very clean and a good workout environment. The staff at this location are excellent. Good all around service.
