At Planet Fitness Toronto, we strive to provide an inclusive and welcoming environment for all fitness enthusiasts. Our gym features a wide range of equipment, ensuring that there are usually machines available for use. Many members appreciate the 'no judgment zone' policy, making it a great place for individuals of all fitness levels to work out in comfort.
However, some members have noted that the gym can get quite crowded, especially during peak hours in the evenings. Users have expressed concerns about equipment maintenance, with reports of some machines remaining out of service for extended periods. Additionally, there are occasional complaints regarding the cleanliness and odors within the gym, which can be off-putting for some. It's clear that improvements in staff attentiveness and maintenance are areas of focus for management.

Positive experience: Once machines are out of service never get repaired before 1-2 months and alot of new memebers join everyday ignoring small place full of chios whenever u go weekdays.
Positive experience: Always busy at night and not as convenient for me to go early in the morning before work but good enough to keep myself active.
Positive experience: Only just signed up for a membership. It seems to have a ton of machines so there's always one available and it markets itself as a no judgment zone for people of all shapes and sizes. But like I said it's too early for me to give an in depth review at this time but I will update this as and when I have an accurate idea of how it's really like.

Negative experience: The in app crowd meter is very inaccurate. This gym has a serious over crowding problem. Machines are also not maintained well. Reported to a staff member that one of the peletons were not stable and wobbled a lot. Staff said they will let their manager know and get it repaired... that was 4 weeks ago. That same peleton still wobbles to this day.

Negative experience: Planet overall sucks due to lack of variety and hidden fees. This planet fitness has little to no space and is always crowded. It is a slim and tight fit partly because they cramped all the machines together. All over the gym it reeks of sweat and BO… constantly. And the staff lacked the ability to let me know that there is an annual fee that gets charged at the completion of my second month after signing up. Would not recommend and insist on choosing a different gym.
Negative experience: Honestly, has been a big letdown. The place is dirty, equipment feels worn out, and it doesn’t seem like they prioritize cleaning at all. The overall vibe is cheap, and the staff don’t seem to care about helping members or keeping things in good shape. Definitely not worth the price—hoping they step it up soon.

Negative experience: The gym was dirty, with equipment and floors that looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a while. On top of that, it was so foggy and humid inside, making it uncomfortable and hard to breathe. It seems like cleanliness and proper ventilation aren’t priorities here. Definitely not the kind of environment you expect from a quality gym. Hoping management takes action to improve these conditions!

Negative experience: Terrible experience at this. The staff are incredibly rude and seem more interested in socializing with each other than helping members. Every time I needed assistance, they either ignored me or acted like I was interrupting them. It feels like they have no interest in supporting members or creating a welcoming atmosphere. Very disappointing, and it really affects the gym experience. Management needs to address this unprofessional behavior!

Negative experience: Disappointing experience at this gym . The staff often seem more interested in chatting with each other than helping members. Positive experience: Washroom... The person keeps the safety signs right on the walkway of customer. Such irritating . They must be were water is .not in front of door and lockers!!
Negative experience: The staff were wonderful here probably the only good thing about the gym. The gym is an absolute zoo. There is a huge crowd at any time because the company is clearly money grabbing. That’s why the membership is so cheap. There is no crowd control whatsoever. They need to do less promos and focus more on the quality of the space. Would not recommend if you’re actually into weight training and fitness. The place is also so stinky and people do not wipe after themselves

Negative experience: My Dad tried to cancel membership with them and they scammed his card and kept charging him when he tried to confront them they said theres nothing they can do.

Negative experience: In some point you i feel you guy you create your policy/contract to steal from i didn't go to gy for almost one year and a half bu you still charging me how can you charge some who don't use your service trying to call to cancel no one pick up the phone i send email in customer service no one get back to me and finally to day someone pick up my phone and they told me to cancel i have to go to office or send mail you have to do better everything can be in digital and the bad thing is after i call to day they even if you send a letter we cannot cancel your membership until you pay all due balance and it will still keep adding up every month and i don't use the service almost a year and six month

Negative experience: Their signup and billing support is downright deplorable. Been six months since they couldn't update their systems to recognize a standard checking account which planet fitness insists on instead of a credit card. And then proceed to confusingly routinely charge late fee on the card despite setting it up for auto payments. There is absolutely no way to reach planet fitness directly, nor is there a clear way to read the statements or get in touch with whoever's job is it to it sort out except through the franchise employees Taymax, who in themselves seem to have no control over billing issues.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Planet Fitness for a few months now, and I’m really happy with it. The gym is clean, and the staff is friendly, which makes for a great atmosphere. I like that it’s never too crowded, so I rarely have to wait for equipment. The membership is affordable, especially considering the range of machines and amenities available. It’s perfect if you’re looking for a no-pressure, welcoming place to work out. My only gripe is that the free weights section is a bit limited, but overall, it’s a great gym for the price.

Negative experience: The East Indian receptionist “Jay” had a lot of attitude for no reason when I registered he was quite rude and didn’t care as well about his behaviour, quite unprofessional for an establishment such as this. The gym is dirty and they lack basic equipment such as a 45 pound barbell without the swift machine as well. This place needs to raise its standards.

Negative experience: Worst gym experience ever. Different handles lack rubber grips, there are no free barbell weights or multi-purpose machines, and the number of benches is too low. it's not worth it guys, choose another location.

Negative experience: This gym is a complete disappointment. All the major equipment and machines are always out of service. It's small, yet they allow too many people at once, making it overcrowded. Definitely not worth $15 a month.

Negative experience: Worst gym i have ever attended. “I became a gym member a year ago and planned to cancel my membership next month. When I went to inquire about the cancellation process, I was told they would charge an annual fee of around $70 logged just five days before the month end. They offered no alternatives, and I received no prior notification about this fee. It’s especially frustrating since I haven’t attended the gym for the past six months. I find it unfair to pay for a service I didn’t use, and this lack of transparency and communication is very disappointing.”

Negative experience: Small, few machines, and crowded all the time. I used to work out at another location, but I have to come to this one due to renovations. My other location is 20 km away from my home; otherwise, I would leave this location behind.

Negative experience: Fine for working out. The massage chairs and bed smell like BO. The overwhelming body odour smell in the whole gym is too much. Will have to start going to another location. Such a shame. Update - A gym rep reached out to me to discuss my concerns. They stated that because the Planet Fitness is a "judgement free zone" they could not ask members to address their body odour/ personal scent issues. I countered with the idea that gym's are small communities we all pay to be a part of. There are rules and behavioral expectations (i.e. cleanliness, personal hygiene, etc.) we all agree upon to be part of that community. That point was dismissed.

Negative experience: First, the male staff is not very kind If I may... Second is dirty at all hours mostly the bath room, the whole place stinks and too crowded, maybe the price is too high for what they really offer, there's no enough exercise machines and I should keep this gym in third option at best

Positive experience: Pros: really clean Lots of cardio equipment Open almost 24/7 Free wifi Staff is friendly App is awesome when your starting out, it has alot of videos and a crowd meter. Cons: only 3 Smith machines and they are always occupied. Weight training area has no kettle bells And not enough dumb bells Not enough room in the weight training area "lunk alarm" ? I would recommend this place, the Smith machine wait is super annoying, but still a nice place

Negative experience: Planet fitnes is a good gym but staff was really worst they do racism at queens plate drive location. There was one employee his name was Mohsin he was really very bad he tried to pretend like owner of the gym . We canceled our three memberships because of one staff member.

Negative experience: Busiest gym ever. 90% of the space was packed, and the men stare at women. There was also no paper towel to wipe the machines
Negative experience: This club do fraud with there new clients by selling them black memberships on referrals basis saying that they will not be getting charged for using black membership for certain days and they can downgrade after and just pay downgrade plan fee. There staff person Mohsin, he helped me and sold me black membership when I never wanted that and said via world of mouth that I can cancel or downgrade it before 17th april. When I went in to do so on 16th april, he said I was suppose to do it before 10th and now I have to pay $33.50 for black membership which I never used. He was so unhelpful and didn’t provide any solution at point of contact. He told me to reach out manager where he is giving me store email and phone no. Not even managers email or phone no.! No customer service no. Clearly disrespectful treatment to a client. Showed me half contract on signature tab and now full over the computer. Making new clients fool for what? Getting there some commission or sales??? Why doing fraud by selling wrong products? People are not fool here. I hope some urgent action will be taken against my complaints otherwise I will escalate it as much as possible. Money doesn’t matter now, poor customer service and fraudulent act of staff matters.

Negative experience: Tell me how someone could be so neglectful and beyond discriminatory while being the brand representative. Re-train your staff so they understand what it means to be in customer service because this gym ain’t welcoming at all. Tell me how are you paying for a service just to get treated wrong and be disrespected. Sad.

Positive experience: As a plus size woman, this gym has been the most welcoming to me and my friends. Everyone is focused on their own well-being and no one is there to judge. Since we have started back in January, we have met amazing staff at Planet Fitness, Leison, Jay, and Luis. Leison is always smiling and welcoming us everytime we enter and leave. He is always willing to help! Jay is super efficient, always cleaning the gym and making our stay super comfortable. Luis, as a Spanish speaking staff member, he makes it so much easier for us to communicate with him. He always makes sure we feel comfortable and have a good time at the gym. For our latino community, Luis is there to help and make you feel welcomed!

Fantastic experience: Good place to workout and not much crowded. I usually go evenings after work. Its better to go evengs and late night. Usually from 7 pm to 9 pm is little crowded. Nice staff

Fantastic experience: The gym is awesome. The staff members Rico and Osman in the morning are commendable at comprehending the members’ needs and today I went to the gym with my family and they were wonderful in addressing our concerns and enlightening us apropos the gym policies and customs.

Negative experience: Had very bad experience with Yash. I am cancelling my membership from today. He is very rude person. I had very bad experience with him, he doesn’t know how to talk , he talks very ruthlessly, I don’t know why planet fitness has hired such unprofessional staff. Management really need to talk to him. YASH is his name, request to management to talk to him.

Positive experience: Planet fitness was great a bit more laid back back compared to to some gyms , there was only one machine not functioning, I would recommend weights only go up to 75 lbs I would recommend at least up to 100b . Shower stall had no chair to sit on tough trying to put socks on with damp feet . Overall clean and organized

Negative experience: One of rude and unprofessional worker named "YASH" who was not even on duty was telling me to not even stay in massage chair area(black card members area) both of my parents have black card I was just monitoring them for their safety. When I asked the guy to give me the black card and I am ready to pay for that but he refused to sell the membership which clearly represents they have different opinion in their mind.

Fantastic experience: Love this planet fitness so much! Its the closest to my home and its so convenient for me!!!!!. Very nice inside. Yeah you can say there isn't a ton of a room as its not massive but i think its pretty big and a good size with very good variety of equipment you can use. I love that the fans and air conditioning are always on as it makes the gym not too smelly and keeps me feeling cool while doing workouts. Really like the locker room as well lots of lockers and mirrors are awesome with very bright light and some rooms to change in as well. Im so happy i got a membership in the first place because this is the environment that makes me want to workout and not only that but to workout for a longer period than i usually would and also to be consistent with working out.

Negative experience: The guy named Osman is very rude and not doing his job correctly he is playing games on his phone and telling us to fill information on our own that still I did but coz of some system error I had to do it 3 times and then asked him to do it that he refused that it is not part of their job whereas earlier branch of planet fitness where I was going they did everything on there own.. So kindly look forward to it. Because serving people is the priority thing for customer service.

Fantastic experience: I had gone with my friend to get him a membership and someone named Shaina helped us by solving all our questions and explained everything about the membership and honestly it was one of the best customer service that I have ever experienced. She was extremely patient and the gym was a little small but it was extremely clean and I wouldn't mind the the gym being small if the customer service is this good. We got a membership and it's really been good they always smile at me when I come to workout. Cheers to the team.

Fantastic experience: I am a member at college park planet fitness, but on Friday I decided to come here and my experience was really good. It was nice and clean and the employees were all welcoming and that just made my day. I was welcomed with a huge smile and especially the manager shaina who was talking to me. She was kind enough to give me a tour when I asked for it. Customer service was amazing. I am looking forward to coming back here soon.

Negative experience: The managers at this location are extremely racist! Especially to new comers. Take your money somewhere else where you are respected. When I came to sign up, I was struggling with the verification on the ipad and the woman named shayna was getting impatient but that wasn't my fault their ipad is slow and they never advised me to use my phone where it is easier. she called her colleage over and said "can u come help this person I have to finish printing this" like seriously? You stood there and watched me struggle and then left to "print" something acting like you were so busy. After her attitude I realized maybe this wasn't a judgement free zone after all and just left. What a joke

Fantastic experience: This gym is awesome. I can use the equipment properly. Well maintained. service amazing. There are a few staff members to name a couple of them CJ, Trae, and others. They are very kind to everyone, helpful, respectful, responsible, curtious, and a very good communicators. However, i mostly spoke with Mr. CJ and Mr. Trae. They both gave me advices, and they were very helpful to my workout needs. KEEP IT UP!! As for the rest of the team, keep up the excellent work and continue to always be kind.

It's like they don't care the entire gym is dusty and has bed bugs inside the women's locker room I literally mentioned this to a manager and she said "yes I know we are looking into it" its been 2 months! disgusting gym and management bring back the old management and staff and stop hiring people who discriminate their members and staff! Came to find out your new "GM" discriminated against a few employees and had them fired.I don't need to shiver when I'm on a treadmill btw it's cold outside the gym inside doesn't need to be cold also
Negative experience: You never know how bad an establishment is until you visit this location, I simply asked a question about my billing and your so called manager rolled her eyes at me and just threw me on to someone else acting like she was too busy. This place has downgraded over the past couple months can't even ask questions without getting an attitude

I came in to workout and looked for the chubby girl who signed me up just to find out she was gone! You discriminated against your own staff imagine what you do to your members.
Negative experience: Management is so poor! Came last night 11pm and the men at the front were RUDE. 7 months ago I came in to cancel but the lady working nights (Linda) gave me reasons to stay! Negative experience: I had the worst experience today at this place. I’ve been a member for three years and the employees today at 28th of September at 3:30. They made a fool of me and they were laughing and acting like it’s a game to making people uncomfortable and unhappy. We come there to exercise and relax after a hard day of work, but unfortunately the people are working behind the counter. There are unresponsible uneducated, very rude, unprofessional, and no ethic from myself. I could say I feel really bad why these employees trying to make the people feel bad, and they make them be Little. Which is not looking good for the business I would like to cancel my membership and not going there anymore. I hope somebody will do something about the situation because it was not like this when I started going there in two years ago a lot of things change, especially the employees behind the counter, his attitude and etc.
Positive experience: It was an interesting visit. I went there late in evening (after 10:30). When I walked in there was a girl sitting on the counter and a guy taking care of a customer. The first initial vibe was do sign up here!!! But I did anyways. Staff seem like they don't really want to be there only to socialize with their friends behind ( sitting on the counter). Not a good look for people wanting to come in to work out to make changes to their current lifestyle ( healthier choices)

Positive experience: I had taken membership of PF as its near to my house, but as they made free for teens , some teens were visiting it for fun and equipped the equipment for fun!! So, for that reason, the regular members were not able to use gym equipment. Every day it's busy and all equipment is not available to do exercise. Customer service is good but would like to give suggestions for teens Timings. It would be great if they give some Timings to teens as they have free excess, so that everyone would able to use equipments

Negative experience: CONTEXT: I am a senior body builder. Master and Grand Master Champion and IBFF World competitor (Sicily 2008). I've trained in gyms around the world. Planet Fitness, unlike most any other gym, will not accommodate people who require special aides in order to work out in their facilities. I have developed a neuropathy (arthritis) in my hands and require special grips and tools to enable me to work out properly. Without these tools I cannot achieve my maximum strength nor muscle growth. Before trying a complimentary work out I asked the attendant if I could be accommodated and take my bag (15" x 20") filled with my work out aides on to the floor. I was not allowed to have these tools with me and could not work out. So if you really need to work out in a dark gym (like a funeral home viewing room), void of any atmosphere and with equipment so poorly set up as to make any compound exercising very difficult and inconvenient. NOT A "SMOOTH" WORKOUT FLOOR!! And, judging from other reviews and opinions, if you NEVER want to easily cancel your account or get hold of anyone at Planet Fitness corporate offices - then this is the place. THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SERVICES TO SPEAK OF. Pay a few more dollars to join a quality gym (I'm not referring any particular one) with a decent atmosphere. And a gym that realizes some patrons need certain accoutrements to achieve their work out goals. However, I'm not so sure anyone at Planet Fitness would understand this.

Negative experience: The only reason I go to that location is because is close to my home. But ooh Man the smell is horrible, and all the bad smell come from the Indian people that go there. It's not that hard to wear deodorant and it's not even expensive. There is a lot of good brands for a good price. A lot of Indian people go to this location but the smell is nasty. I don't want to sound racist but I have been training next to them and it is almost impossible to be close for more than 5 minutes. You guys aren't in Indian anymore, you must adjust to this new country.
Negative experience: Been coming here for like 4-5 years. Black card member. It is what it is, a cheap gym. However it is the worst planet fitness I go to. Partly due to the facilities and the space, but mainly because of the STAFF. They’re always moody and unhelpful. They always seemed so bothered if you need anything. The staff culture is not good. Creates an awkward and unwelcoming environment. Every other planet fitness I go to does not have this problem. It’s only here.

Positive experience: It’s a small gym, so it’s best to avoid going in the evening as it is super busy. During the day time is the better time to visit. They don’t have a lot of equipment, so you often can’t use the equipment you wanna use as it’s taken. Another big problem is, people wasting time wile using machines. I see people are in their phone for minutes when sitting on a machine they are using. It creates long waiting line for that machine. Staffs should walk around and observe these kinda behaviour and discourage people to do so. Moreover, I didn’t get a orientation of the gym when I got admission. It will be helpful to get a orientation of the gym when getting admission.

Negative experience: This location has the music so loud - I have a headache when I leave. Even the morning music is blasting - even in the change rooms. Why should we pay to get our ears blasted with bad music?

Positive experience: Hello Planet Fitness, I am sorry that this facility has so many differences with the others, in relation to the space, the machines, as well as the smell that is too stinky on repeated occasions. However, despite the policy of not judging, it is important to maintain a standard of personal hygiene out of respect for others with at least a bearable smell, which is beneficial to the majority, making them feel comfortable in the environment, by using deodorant or something similar to reduce odor. There is no encouragement for those things, at least when there is a poster or image reminding you that you should use deodorant or improve your personal higyne before to use the gym. They are basic customs for some, but clearly not for others and the bad thing is that the gym does nothing to improve in that aspect. Maybe the solution is choose other option if there aren't changes.

Negative experience: What’s the point of posting Holiday operation hours…….when the gym isn’t going to be open on the dates POSTED. It advises your consumers that you will be operating under those hours during the holidays, it’s actually very simple. I went to the gym today, and the gym wasn’t opened and lights were off; when the posting on the DOOR shows that it should be opened until 12 PM TODAY. Very unprofessional and disgusting, to be quite frank. You have your everyday consumers waiting in the parking lot in negative degree weather hoping for an incompetent employee to open the gym.

Positive experience: Too small and too many useless treadmills cycles but only a handfull body exercise machines like only one machine literally demotivating to wait for your turn after first 5 people to finish using the leg press as a example. Also some staff are just too much into the policy stuff. I mean u don't have to be so much biased towards a guest that i bring as a black card member and make them feel they are not welcomed

Positive experience: Pretty good gym but a little congested with space constraints. Staff are very helpful and courteous. This has waiting area for guests, washrooms, bathing cubicles, lockers, changing rooms, massage & tanning rooms. Multiple equipment for treadmill, cycling and elliptical. 30 min workout space. Overall it's satisfying for the price range. Water fountain is broken fix that.

Negative experience: Customer service is the worst at this gym. They just talk amongst themselves. The staff don’t great customers no eye contact with customer. No have a nice day or anything of the sort. They just ignore the customers. Do they even want to be there cringy. They have there favourites they will say something. When customers come in they are still gossiping to each other. Train your staff or get new ones who know what customer services is about.

Place is always clean The last review I made was a long time ago and I felt that was good enough but today 12 th November 2024 I came back to this place for a massage on the bed. I see people wearing there shoe on the bed for a massage then on review they saying it’s a nasty place, I think people feel that they pay for cleaners to clean there mess but I don’t think it’s so, everyone or we all have to treat the place like our home if we will call it home for I am sure you don’t lie on your bed with shoes on or maybe you do and that’s what you are accustom to. I think this ovation is great with great customer service and place is clean. Take care guys put up signs thT say no shoe on on beds or massage lounge, who can read then they might understand.

Negative experience: Very small gym as compared to other planet fitness. None of the treadmills get connected to Apple Watch or life fitness app. Most of the members occupy the machines or bench and keep browsing their phones. Update: today is 1st April 2023 and it’s 6:45 AM. I am standing right outside the gym because it’s open 24*7, that’s what is advertised everywhere. But the gym is closed and looks like they do not care to inform members coz I came yesterday there was no notice about this.

Negative experience: Not the best place to go to. Look for a different gym. Way too over crowded. All they have are cardio and running machines There are few handful other weight machines but you have 5-7 people waiting in line per machine. Place itself is too small. Very minimal space to stand or walk around.

Positive experience: Huge space. Ample parking. Open 24 hours. Clean changing area and lockers. Massage chairs and rooms available for black card members. A lot of equipments are out of order since a long time. Hopefully management can fix them soon. Good overall. It is very busy from 5pm - 10 pm

Negative experience: VANDALISM IN CAR PARKING ZONE. NO CC CAMERAS. PARK YOUR CAR WITH RISK*** AND EXPECT CAR BREAKING On July 16 2022, I went inside to do gym around 1 pm and by 3.30 pm I have returned then noticed someone broke my car windshield glass. When I check with employees inside gym they told this kind of vandalism has happened here previously too. Then asked them should I write any report so that management would look into this to which they replied "no need". Unfortunately there were no CC cameras present in this place. Ended up I have paid my deductible to fix the windshield which will affect my premium over the time. ***** If you are a new comer to this gym. Be cautious because about your car as it may be at risk considering previous incidences happened in this place . Park your car with Risk** as the management holds no responsibility.***** I would never recommend this place. ************IN RESPONSE TO THE REPLY*************************** Why should I reach to the owner of plaza, when I visited the plaza because of your gym located in that plaza. when you know such vandalism acts are prevailing in that plaza as a business owner, why would you not have CC cameras which will have surveillance and accountability. FYI, police report has been lodged already

Fantastic experience: I went with my best friend there yesterday for the first time and I’m impressed with the place. Well maintained, friendly staff and easily affordable memberships. Also the summer teens program is really great. Free gym access for teens aged 14-19 until August 31st 2022. Couldn’t be better!

Negative experience: I am a black card member. The gym is insanely small given the large customer population it serves. Many machines (ie treadmills) seem to always be unavailable due to maintenance. During the summer, teens get a free pass, they seem to be more interested in chatting with one another while sitting on machines than working out.
