Epic Rides

Fantastic experience: Epic rides have been my mode of transportation from Vancouver to Whistler for the past two ski seasons, and I have never had a bad experience ever! They run a very tight schedule and would recommend you give yourself a 10-minute window to departure. Booking online is seamless, and options of a one-way or round trip ticket is available. Round trips do not need to be completed on the same day, which is a great way to spend a weekend away. A special shout out to Adam ( driver ) for always having a great attitude and smile on his face I should mention that if you're going to Whistler regularly, buying a round trip multi-pass is going to be the best value! $250 / 10 round trips. Tell me another option of getting to Whistler for less than $25 a round trip !

Positive experience: When they say, “departs promptly” they aren’t kidding. Be there 10 minutes in advance and be aware there’s no restroom on the bus. Very comfortable seats. Courteous drivers. Excellent value…the cost is worth it just for the gorgeous scenery! If you get at all queasy, don’t sit in the first row, especially at night. The road is very hilly and very curvy. We were fine during the day when totally absorbed by the view, but after dark all we had to focus on (from the front row) was the curves, hills, and speed.

Fantastic experience: I used Epic Rides for a round trip to Whistler, and I couldn’t be happier with the service. I needed to change my departure date, and the process was handled smoothly via email. The ride itself was very comfortable, and the coach was super clean. The highlight of the trip was the driver, Adam, who clearly loves his job. He was professional, friendly, and had an amazing sense of humor that kept the atmosphere light and enjoyable throughout the journey. Adam went out of his way to make everyone feel welcome, sharing fun facts about Whistler and cracking jokes that had the entire bus laughing. His enthusiasm and positive energy made the trip memorable.

Negative experience: I’m extremely disappointed with the customer service and lack of compassion this company showed us. My girlfriend and I booked a shuttle with Epic Rides from downtown Vancouver to Whistler at 10am on a Monday morning. When we encountered a minor delay on our way to the shuttle’s point of departure, we called customer service to inform them that we will be a minute late. The representative we spoke to was extremely unhelpful, offering to put us on an evening shuttle and refusing us spots on the afternoon one. I then inquired on what her role at the company was, seeking information on who was trying to help us and who else I could speak to, after which she proceeded to hang up the phone. Fortunately we made it to the shuttle right on time, because I had to split up from my girlfriend, and sprint to there. When I got there, the driver and his boss were just as unhelpful, refusing to wait an extra minute for my girlfriend who was just down the street. I completely understand transit running on tight schedules, however I really did not appreciate the lack of understanding that was shown to us in the face of us warning them that we might be a minute late. To top it off, we were refused a refund in the case that the shuttle left without us. Overall, if you plan to travel with Epic Rides be mindful of their strict policies, and be early!

Fantastic experience: A comfortable express service from downtown Vancouver to Whistler Village. Highly recommend! It saves 30-45min each way compared to other shuttle services that make several stops in between, and rates are reasonable. Air conditioned, however not all seats have outlets. Very punctual for departures so don't be even a minute late. Customer service was also hasslefree, I called to request a different departure time for my tickets and they got that processed without any issue. Friendly and helpful. Will definitely rebook!

Fantastic experience: Have used the service many times this winter between downtown Vancouver and Whistler. Drivers are all fantastic. There have been some very snowy days when the roads were slick and they drove very safely. The buses always leave on time, which is really appreciated. If you’re late, you really can’t complain, they can’t make 30 other people late for you! The buses themselves are basic but comfortable enough. I only wish there was a 3pm option leaving Whistler to beat the notorious traffic back to Vancouver. The 4pm option regularly gets stuck in bad traffic. There’s often two buses at 4pm. I’m sure if one of them was at 3pm or 3:30pm, it would be full.

Bus ride was clean, on-time, and comfortable, and that's about all I could ask for. Our driver Adam was awesome - great sense of humour and equally great driving prowess! He even remembered my name, as I had him for both directions of the trip. Whatever he's getting paid, he deserves a raise!

Negative experience: I am incredibly upset. I booked a ticket and emailed for a refund since I got COVID-19, yet I was not refunded. I spoke directly with the manager/owner Abeer and she declined to refund me as well even though I was too sick to go on this whistler trip. They offered me a voucher which had I communicated would not work as I have a car and this was a girls trip (which was no longer going to workout since I was sick) there is no compassion or understanding with the owner of this company. They could not even offer me a partial refund either and completely dismissed my wellbeing. Do not book with epic rides, it feels like the owner just wants your money and will not give it back no matter what the circumstance is.

Fantastic experience: My go to ride when traveling between Vancouver and Whistler. Consistently reliable and affordable over the years. Staff are super friendly and always provide a smooth and safe journey.

So we decided to try out the bus instead , and I have to say it was the best decision ever ! Affordable , very convenient drop off and pick up location , clean and comfortable ! I highly recommend . Negative experience: What's wrong with the customer service? I plan my trips efficiently and I asked "what can I do in the event there is a weatherstorm and my flight is delayed, am I able to move to the next scheduled bus?" she said it's not possible, the company would not help me at all and because I am calling ahead, I am planning to be delayed and therefore they did not want to help in that instance, the call quickly turned into some form of an accusation. I'm a very efficient travel planner and this treatment to a customer is absolutely absurd. I called the SkyLynx bus service and they helped me without hesitation very accommodating and friendly. Avoid Epic Rides if you can, the customer support is not worth it and they will not help you if your flight is delayed due to a weather storm.

Negative experience: My ride on Epic Rides was slow and cold. As a 'Greyhound' rider travelling the Sea to Sky for 25+ years. I've NEVER heard of the BUSY bus line barring band members from travel on our own lands. I'm wondering if the Chiefs, both, are aware of the lack of voice we have as highway travelers.

Today We had an awful experience with SKYLYNX (their system didn’t work when we purchased our tickets - and the driver was very unfriendly and didn’t allowed us to get in the bus). So we waited for the next bus, luckily was Epicrides and they were very nice to wait for us to buy the tickets. ❤️ thank you!

Negative experience: The bus was on time and the ticket was inexpensive but that is where the good ends. The bus appears nice on the outside but was old, dirty, and smelled of urine inside. I’m unsure if the on board washroom was broken or just unclean but the smell smacked you in the face getting on. There were seats with questionable stains and one seat was absolutely drenched. The driver was cordial but not very helpful. The seats are tiny and leg space narrow. I only booked with them because the skylynx was sold out. Save yourself and just book through skylynx. If you find yourself in a position like me, suddenly needing to leave Whistler, this should get the job done but it won’t be very comfortable.
