Fantastic experience: My 4yr old has had an incredible time learning Muay Thai and kick boxing with ‘Ms.Jessica’ twice a week! Increases confidence, overcoming hardship, discipline, and socialization. Only thing I’d wish for is for them to be closer to my home in Blackfalds!

Fantastic experience: I’ve taken my kids here for the last three years and they always enjoy going. They are learning discipline, commitment, how to move their bodies and challenge themselves. But there’s also a lot of breaks in between to just be kids and have fun. I love that you can be as committed to the sport or as leisure as you want. There’s a lot of wiggle room for everyone.

Fantastic experience: Great environment for beginners and advanced martial artists alike. The instructors/coaches are knowledgeable, patient and friendly. Renshi Ken is a great example of a martial artist. I highly recommend Arashido Sylvan Lake if you live around Central Alberta area. The expertise is evident and the community is amazing. They offer great value for all ages.

I was really nervous to start training, especially in a group setting but everyone there is so welcoming and helpful it was an easy adjustment! I have done group Muay-thai and private lessons, as well as the women's cardio kickboxing and have loved them all!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been part of the Sylvan Lake Arashi Do family since 1999. The environment has always been positive and family oriented. The people are open, friendly and welcoming. Renchi Ken is a well-rounded martial artist and an excellent teacher.

Fantastic experience: I have been doing Jiu Jitsu with Arashi Do Sylvan Lake for close to 8 years now. I really enjoy the quality instruction and the general atmosphere of the school and the Jiu Jitsu family. I highly recommend giving it a try if you've never done it before. It can be quite the life changing experience for a lot people. 10/10 would Jiu Jitsu again.

Fantastic experience: Great instructors that are supportive they don't turn their back on anyone! even the ones who struggle, or have special needs, they are always right there to encourage and help kids push themselves. It has great atmosphere all around. I'll definitely keep taking my son to sylvan Arashi-do tho it's a bit of a commute, it's well worth it!!

Fantastic experience: A fantastic dojo! I practiced BJJ for roughly a year at Arashi-Do in Sylvan. Ken was beyond helpful and worked wonders for me (my goal was to learn self-defense). Prices are fair and the location is perfect. The quality and quantity of instruction given by Ken and/or his employees is hard to beat! I cannot speak highly enough of Arashi-Do Sylvan Lake, as its community became a second family to me.

Fantastic experience: We love this environment and the way of teaching. From the first time we went till now we always feel welcome and good taken care of. The owner/teacher Ken is very kind and respectful. The methods used are great standard and the facility is always clean. Prices are totally fair to what is offert. I can only recommend this school to everyone.

Negative experience: I have heard nothing but great things about this dojos instruction. Walked in to get info for my kid. Stood there for 20 minutes waiting for the lady behind the desk to acknowledge me. Granted the entire time she was speaking to parents and students so i didn't want to interrupt paying customers with a request for information. After the 20 minutes I gave up and turned towards the door and that is when she finally asked "can I help you sir?". "No, actually you cannot help me". So you saw me, ignored me then when im walking out you ask me if you can help me? I support local business but that rubbed me wrong. So now i have to drive 25km down the road to a different dojo.
