Fantastic experience: Nice place to go with your family. Also very clean,and prices are very reasonable.

Negative experience: Very rude front receptionist. Has no customer service at all.

Fantastic experience: Clean, tidy facility. Friendly staff. Pleasantly uncrowded. I used the gym, and found it had a solid selection of equipment - cardio (spin bikes - various; tread mills, ellipticals); weight machines; free weights; weight racks; TRX; weight vest.

Fantastic experience: I have been attending the acquafit classes for several weeks now. I love the warm, salt water pool. The instructors are excellent and the facility is clean and modern. Pricing for seniors is reasonable, they have a towel service and a very nice steam room. I highly recommend the JCC.

Negative experience: There is too much chlorine in the pool. You can smell very high concentrations of chlorine in the air as you near the pool area. I wonder why they don't use other chemicals or salts. Inhaling this much chlorine cannot be good. Also I attended a yoga class , and the AC fans were going like there is no tomorrow. Even the teacher in the class was not happy with that and apparently the had voiced their concern to no avail.

Fantastic experience: The centre with everything you need and more. Warm, welcoming, friendliest and most helpful staff. Clean, organized and well run. I always enjoy my visit!

Negative experience: Kathy at the front desk very cranky and impolite every time l came she was like that however pool and coaches are the best

Fantastic experience: On February 11th, I successfully completed the Life Saving Society criteria and received a Bronze Cross rating. I am an expat and the atmosphere in the classroom is very important to me! Teacher Sofia Rincón has a unique professional ability to help each student reach their potential.. She devotes time to each student, and that's what matters most. She also shows a lot of teamwork practices, which increases the effectiveness of learning. That's why I will come again and continue my studies! I am glad that I ended up in this certification and leadership center! Thank you very much until we meet again!

Fantastic experience: JCC swim courses for the life saving society have been a great experience. The staff go beyond to help out and make you comfortable. I was challenged physically and socially with people of varying ages. I came out with confidence in my swimming and teaching abilities as well as the desire to continue on. Thank-you so much for the great experience.

Fantastic experience: I did my National Lifeguard qualification here; Tristan was an experienced instructor who demonstrated his expertise well.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love the JCC. I started going in Sept 2022 to take an aqua healing class and it quickly became my almost everyday aquafit home. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful, Kathy at the front desk helped me so much. The facilities are beautiful, clean and safe. The pool and instructors are fabulous, motivating and engaging. The community is welcoming and so helpful. I am so glad to be a new member.

Negative experience: Good facility , good staff, but if you want to swim your membership is ruined by the private group that has taken over the pool. It is impossible to swim on the Saturday, Tuesday, Thursday, and much of the other days thanks to the swim school. If you value aquatics as part of your health and don't want to take a group class, but rather lane swim, you'd best look elsewhere. My primary reason getting a membership was to swim to rehab an injury. It looks like I'll have to find a different facility.

Fantastic experience: I have renewed my membership at the JCC. Kathy along with Brianne at the front desk were very helpful making the process go smoothly. They processed the paper work so I could get to a class on time. I got full attention. I saw people before and after me, were given detailed info about JCC renewals and community resources. Incredible people and services And as this is not mentioned much in the other reviews, I will only mention the Challah bread, made by seniors Jewish, they have it every Friday, early 8 am, and it is just perfect Please check photos and go get some ❤️❤️

Fantastic experience: We like JCC, specially the true blue program! However we found that the lady who's the receptionist beside the swimming pool gate, ( not the true blue section ) , is very impolite and unfriendly !! Whenever we ask a question from her , she doesn't respond well. Today was the third time I noticed when I asked a question she didn't replied properly and she started to work on her computer! I thought she's finding an answer for us but after I waited for a minute , she started to talk to a colleague about something else and ignored us!!! Anyway I give 5 stars because of the true blue team that we had an excellent experience with them. Only the receptionist lady before the true blue desk is unwelcoming. Thanks!

Fantastic experience: This is a facility with friendly people. The pool and change rooms are nice- swim lessons by True Blue are great. I’m not a member but if I lived closer I would be.

Fantastic experience: I went to JCC to renew my membership after the past 2 years. Cathy, at the front desk was so helpful. She walked me through the aquatics program and how to book in. I was able to book back to back classes, so I was very happy about that. This is an excellent facility and the aqua fit instructors are so friendly. Looking so forward to getting back into a routine.

Fantastic experience: I'm not Jewish and I went there for a tour of the facility for personal reasons. The staff is super friendly and very accommodating. There are several gyms, a heated swimming pool (kept at 31 degrees Celsius), meeting rooms, and so much more. You can buy a membership for a year or just rent certain parts of the facility. You can also just pay to use the gym or swimming pool. The facility has a big parking lot and the streets around it have plenty of parking space which require no permit.

Fantastic experience: I'm so happy I was out reached from the distress centre to this organization. At first it was a frustrating event simply because I'd never needed help before. When all was said and done, I really didn't know what support I needed. It took about a week to rally my mind and the support teams. I'm very happy. For those out there, on the streets, this team came to bat, and I was able to score a few home runs. Forgive me if I have the names wrong: reception was lovely, then Jenna, and first hand reception (Louise), then Rose got through to me, finally, and Bailey scored big, handling my fears and scored big. Complicated but successful. Okay, I needed to call JCC once again simply because a Jewish company suggested I call. I was wondering about manna bread, which is defined as a Biblical bread made by Jewish people way back when. I left a message, which is the case the majority of the time. I left the message and in good humor asked about the bread and said I'm also applying for the reception position because I have called now, and in the past only to get a machine. Indeed, I did get a call back, was blasted for my error that manna bread is not Jewish (even though Mr Google said it was) and that reception is very busy and can't always take the call. I promptly explained not to worry in order to calm rough waters. She went on in the gruff manner throughout the call, gave me a number for a company unlikely to make, much less, sell Essene bread. So, I thanked her for her time and hung up post haste. Terribly sorry to offend you ma'am. And, if you are wondering, Essene bread was made years ago by Lifestream who then gave the rights to Nature's Path, and they have since given it to a Chicago based company named Manna Organics of whom do not ship to Canada. I guess I'll be making it myself. Again, sorry to have bothered reception with this ridiculous request.

Negative experience: The morning Front desk lady name Cathy is very much unprofessional in talking and very loud . She doesn’t have any idea to deal with members. JCC is very good recreational Center but if they keep like this unprofessional employee which will effect their reputation in a bad way. She was not even listening my questions about membership and start shouting with me.

Positive experience: Great place for seniors, Active Living classes are well supervised. Aquafit is excellent, warm pool and nice hot tub. Parking is very busy, just not enough spaces. Steam room is now open.

Positive experience: Many people coming to JCC to have saunas, jacuzzi. But, something doesn't functioning - renovation, fixing etc. And that is about whole year

Fantastic experience: For 24 years I've been a member of the YMCA eau Claire or membership plus in Vancouver. Only recently did I consider changing my watch to The JCC I immediately felt welcome although I am not Jewish this community / gym / multi-event facility really treats you like family. I need something felt welcome their recently renovated space ads quality and value back into the center I am glad to have purchased are platinum membership which is comparable to the YMCA membership plus hotel a bit more expensive but you do get a full size locker and towel service.

Negative experience: Liars. I was new prospective customer here. Persuaded me to spend $350 on a 3 month trial under the guise that I could switch over to the annuall option once I got a feel of the gym. Once that time came JCC told me that option was not available. Liars. Avoid. They just want your cash.

Negative experience: I was not happy with the facility the reception shiela has an attitude that was terrible to deal with and very unprofessional

Negative experience: I am Jewish and I found this place difficult to deal with. I was attempting to make a donation and was treated poorly. In addition their event coordinator Shula is not friendly, and hard to deal with. My impressions of the center are misandric, gynocentric, and I found I had a cold reception from people there until I mentioned I was Jewish (and it really should not have mattered). The administration of this place has some issues but I doubt they will be addressed due to extreme complacency, position guarding, cronyism, and overall indifference.

Positive experience: Karen's place was ok but the owners are quite dusorganized I thought. Kosher food for those that want that.

Fantastic experience: welcoming and wonderful a great place to start for someone who knows they are Jewish but doesn't know where to start in getting involved in the community without lots of $ or time . pj library programs and other events like tot shabbat for kids. a wonderful home to meet with the tribe for any level of affiliation or experience in the culture. love from an assimilated uncultured Canadian jew who didn't know or grow up Jewish in almost any sense. eternal thank yous!

Negative experience: The receptionists are not as polite as they should be

Positive experience: This is a great family community center. They have a nice pool that they seem to try and keep warm and they have a lot of other amenities to use. The price of the membership cannot be beat and the staff is incredibly friendly. The gym is a little outdated but based on the past year it looks like they are working on that. They are also updating the change rooms and it was sorely needed! This center is getting a little dated but as a place to take the family and go and work out it is really perfect.

Negative experience: The facility is nice, however the blood clinic held here was not. They wouldn't help me because we came in too late. I did not have an appointment but that hasn't stopped them from drawing blood from other people past their hours.
