Fantastic experience: Wonderful facilities. Friendly staff!

Fantastic experience: Why is the music for the aqua fit classes so loud? I hear everyone complain about it, people plug their ears. It is quite excessive. It sounds like a darn tootin dance club. We are all too old to want to experience that. The rest of the facility and stuff is great, but please, listen to the patrons and lower that volume!!!

Negative experience: Son nearly died today in their toddler swim class. He was pulled under after slipping on the stairs which happens understandably but I kid you not, the lifeguard did nothing! Stood there and watched my son under 1' of water completely expressionless. Beware before sending your toddler's to their swim classes and whatever you do, watch them like a hawk because nobody else there is!

Fantastic experience: A great place to get yourself back into shape. The employees are kind and understanding. The Y has always been a charitable establishment. Meaning, they will work with those who can afford a regular rate membership. They have geared-to-income memberships for those in need. It's great to bring the kids on the weekend to go for a swim and then play in the gym. My kids love it. I love it too. Come check it out!!!!

Fantastic experience: This is a great pool to swim at, the person at the front desk even offered to let me borrow a lock and key for the locker. The small pool is warm and the big pool is not too cold. You can even dive in the deep end a lot of public pools don't allow this. This was our second visit and we will return :)

Fantastic experience: Love this location. Staff is really sweet and helpful. Phone is always answered. Pool is great too. Lifeguard staff/ swimming instructors are all very sweet. Very respectful aquatic staff especially on a hectic first day of swim classes.

Fantastic experience: I haven’t been to a ymca since 2015 and wow!! There’s a huge variety of training equipment; cross fit style which was awesome to see! Lots of space, everything is clean and the staff were lovely!

Fantastic experience: I am editing this review (leaving the 1-star review I left below) because I wrote a note to the President & CEO about my concerns and I'm so impressed with how well everything was handled. He and his team are a compassionate bunch and took everything I said to heart. They've gone beyond listening and are looking to take action/update policies. I was sure to say in my complaint that I didn't want anyone in trouble, I just wanted to call out the archaic policies and how unwelcoming they are for some. Kudos to the YMCA of Central East Ontario for their customer service and ability to adapt and reflect. ---- I'm disturbed that I even have to write this review but it isn't something I'm willing to let go. Leaving a private swim lesson tonight with my 8 y/o child I was blasted by a front desk employee about letting them use the "women's" restroom with me. The "men's" restroom was closed for cleaning, so I let them pee in a locked stall next to my own locked stall in an empty washroom. It is almost laughable that turning into the driveway I noticed the newly painted pride crosswalk at the entrance, and noted how thankful I am that the YMCA strives to be so inclusive. It is 2023, so I didn't realize we weren't all on the same page about gender being a construct. I'm disappointed that I even have to leave this review as we've always loved this facility. We are members here, and our child loves the programming. I'm also disappointed that they had to overhear the conversation and ask me about it on the way home. Do better, YMCA.

Fantastic experience: Clean, affordable, professional, courteous, comfortable. Everything you need in a gym!!!!

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff (Hi Heather), clean building, excellent lap pool, refreshing therapy pool (you must try the back massage waterfalls) and plenty of good exercise equipment. The work out classes are well attended without being crowded. We found the scheduled of activities suited us perfect

Fantastic experience: Really enjoying the Monday and Wednesday aqua-yoga classes. My service dog Toby loves meeting new people and bringing a smile to everyone's faces. Thank you to the staff at the Trenton branch for allowing me to bring Toby. I couldn't do it without him.

Fantastic experience: Very nice and clean facilities. Swimming pool and child pool are not large by any means, but plenty of room for our family on a Sunday family swim! Lots of space and multiple changing areas within the family change room. Staff was incredibly friendly and invit8nf to some first timers! Can't beat $5 to bring your kid for some fun in the pool on a hot day. We will definitely look into swim lessons and more programs at this location.

Positive experience: I love the place, it's always clean and very organized. The problem is the attitude of some women at the reception, they always ignore you and look like they're there out of obligation. Sometimes there are always people with backpacks on the floor getting in the way even thousands of things on the floor like toothbrushes, watches etc. The place is wonderful but unfortunately there will always be some people who make it look bad.

Positive experience: Was told that my young son cannot be in the women’s change room as he’s over the age of one. Find it a bit strange that there’s this concern with an innocent toddler. The family change room is always overcrowded and often feels dirty. Child is also in gymnastics. Some of the coaches aren’t very helpful with the children and I have to go help my child while they stand there talking or dancing.

Positive experience: I love the pool but the website is a nightmare to navigate. I'd like an easy swim schedule to see family and open swims

Negative experience: After Covid calmed down this gym signed up too many people for it to handle. To the point you’re waiting for machines longer than you are working out. I called to cancel my membership and the girl on the phone said “okay great!!” She then asked what my reason for cancelling was. I mentioned the amount of people in the gym. She then laughs and says “yeah that’s why I don’t workout here”. I get they probably lost money during Covid due to closure and decreased traffic, but if you are signing up the amount of people that your gym is full. Find a way to regulate traffic.

Fantastic experience: love taking my 2 year old here for family swim times, she especially loves the little blue slide. just make sure to go early or the pool may be full :)

Lexi has listened and delivered an engaging and fun way for me to reach my goals. I appreciate the flexibility within my busy schedule and the ever changing ideas she brings to each workout. Positive experience: Speaking of challenging times it does not make sense to show your vax id to get a id membership. Then request it every time after that. government of canada sort this out this is ridiculous. The best YMCA in the area

Positive experience: Our kids enjoy the swimming lessons!

Fantastic experience: The pool area was recently updated and I found the floor very slippery, to the point of which I felt it was unsafe. The staff listened to my concern (they are all wonderful, especially Heather) and assured me the message would get addressed. I also sent an email to the General Manager of the Quinte Branch "Ron" He was very quick to respond and assured me that I was not the only one with the concern, he also informed me that they are working to fix the problem. He also insisted I contact him again if I required any assistance! This to me is excellent customer service! Bravo!

Negative experience: Drove all the way here to find out the pool was closed due to problem with chemicals not mentioned on their website, which I checked before I arrived. Belleville membership not accepted for steam room, so I left. Pretty bad business practices.

Negative experience: New layout sucks and machines people liked using are now gone!! Thinking about leaving
