Fantastic experience: As another Member who has witnessed the recent unjustified review-bombing, I can confirm that no employee has asked me to leave a review. This club is excellent. Between the pool, gym, hot tub and steam room, I come almost daily and have great respect for the other members and the staff (including Esme the manager). I was speaking to other members about this situation, and had to leave my own review. I strongly recommend the Parkway Club!
Fantastic experience: The other day at the pool, I had a wonderful time and found the manager to be very professional. However, there was a group of guests who were extremely rude and disrespectful to the manager. They were eating outside food, which isn't permitted, and became hostile when told they couldn't have it. One woman was going around bragging about trying to get the manager fired, which I found disgusting. Eventually, security had to escort these people off the property.
Fantastic experience: Just wanted to share my experience with a situation at the pool today. There was a group of 3 women that were causing a scene and being very rude and disrespectful to the staff. The ladies were eating food brought in from home and got super angry and disorderly when they were politely told they can't have it. They then proceeded to tell other patrons that they will get the manager fired, which is very undeserved I’ve always had a great time at the pool and the manager has always been very nice. Sad to see her having to deal with people like that.
Fantastic experience: This is one of the best places in Toronto to exercise. Especially because the staff is extremely pleasant, welcoming, and polite. They are incredible. Including Esme, the manager of this place. She is what keeps the environment moving and makes everything run smoothly, certainly, this place wouldn't be the same without her. A special mention also goes to Lucas, a young man who works at the reception and is extremely courteous to everyone, and also to Leo. The negative reviews I see here, in general, are from people who don't understand that Parkway has rules and it is necessary to follow them. Obviously, you cannot smoke in a place where there are numerous children and non-smokers, and it is evident that you cannot bring food from elsewhere into a place that sells its own food. If you are not capable of respecting simple rules, I suggest you stay at home, the only place where you can act however you want. It is sad to see that in the 21st century, we still have to deal with adults who don't know how to do the minimum to maintain respect for others and coexist in society.
Fantastic experience: My family and I come to Parkway fitness almost every other day. Esme and her team and such pleasure to be around. Very helpful and friendly! Thank you for making us feel at home at all times.
Fantastic experience: At a competitive rate to other gyms, a membership here is a no-brainer. Between the indoor and outdoor pools, hot tub/steam room, weight room, squash, pickleball, badminton, yoga, fitness classes, ping pong, billiards, a full menu and bar- there is something here for everyone. The staff come and go, but the current staff is by far the best that I can recall in the last six years of being a member. The Manager Esme is a pillar of the place, and a certified personal trainer. For someone like myself who works out 5-7 days a week, it's hard to articulate just how convenient/beneficial it is to run things by her (regarding injuries, workouts, etc). She is kind enough to actually give her time and knowledge to help the members that need it. Overall, this is the best membership that I have ever possessed anywhere. I strongly recommend anyone to join- or ar least get a day pass and see how you like it.

Negative experience: I have to share my experience at the pool today, after coming here for many years. I felt like I was on edge all day. From the moment walking in with someone who has been a regular guest for over 20 years, was approached to provide identification to a pool that we paid for to attend. The person who dealt with us is the manager Esme and clearly knows my friend, was unkind, disrespectful and abrupt. Many regular clients at the pool shared similar experiences and I understand policies, however regular clients should not be treated in such a manner. someone of authority should exercise customer service and not act like a dictator. We spent 300 in food and drinks, not to mention 50 to get in, to be treated like she was doing us a favour. I watched a young family get berated because a child opened up a bag of chips. Her mannerisms are extremely aggressive and is belittling. I will never come back to this pool again and I will be sharing my experience to everyone I know. Horrible day!!
Fantastic experience: Amazing place, the Manager (Esme) Is an awesome person. Will take care of any problems needed. The facility has everything you need for sports and gym, and also a bar with food! I recommend any one to visit this place, even for a day pass, it is good, you won't be disappointed!

Negative experience: This negative review is long overdue, as my family and I have experienced ongoing issues for a couple of years. Despite spending thousands of dollars a month during the summer, our experience has significantly declined due to the new manager, Esme. Esme has made our visits consistently unpleasant. It’s not just us; fellow guests feel the same way. If this were my business, I would seriously reconsider having her in such a prominent position. I hope upper management addresses these concerns promptly to improve the experience for loyal members like myself.

Negative experience: I have been a member of this establishment for many years, but the past few years have been filled with negative experiences, particularly when Esme is working. Unfortunately, not many people speak up about this. If this were my business, I wouldn’t want Esme to represent it. She, along with one staff member whose name I don’t know, made my Sunday the worst it has ever been at this establishment. I would like to hear back from upper management regarding these issues.

Negative experience: I recently visited this establishment and had a very unpleasant experience. The management’s behavior is incredibly harsh and unprofessional, reminiscent of a dictator. It’s also highly suspicious that this place, which has been open for 100 years and had only 62 reviews until recently, suddenly received 10 five-star reviews in one week. It seems likely that management is asking people to write these fake positive reviews and even instructing them on what to say. This kind of manipulation is unacceptable and only highlights the poor management practices. I hope this behavior changes soon.
Fantastic experience: This is a simple but great place to relax for a day. We've got the day pass for $25 and enjoyed the outdoor pool, indoor pool and hot tub. You are allowed to use the lockers in the change rooms, just bring your own lock. Also, you can leave the facility and reentry with the day pass, which is absolutely great! They have steam rooms, and in the showers you are provided with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The bar has a good variety of snacks and finger foods and drinks. I loved their french fries. The weather was not great, clouded and a bit windy, so I though the outdoor pool was going to be cold, but to my surprise it was a perfect temperature, almost lukewarm. The employees were nice and courteous. I think this is a great place to be visited in the winter, as you can go straight from the change room / washrooms to the indoor pool area.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to the club since 2019, as a condo-member. We love the indoor and outdoor pools! My daughter gets ice cream and snow cones in the summer, and loves their pizza! We also both love Esme the manager! Highly recommend!

Negative experience: Being a member over 6 months, I'm so disappointed today. The lady's change room regular cleaning time is 6:15pm to 6:30pm in the evening. Tonight, around 8:15pm, 2 guy came in for cleaning when some ladies were in their panties or wrapped the body with a towel. They said “hello" before coming in and we answered "we are still in here" but they still came in with their vacuum. They saw us, we told them please go outside, and they stayed in there kept vacuuming the whole time while we were putting on clothes!

Fantastic experience: Update: Since I mostly go in the evening, Daniel is always the one who help me out. Top, top guy. So friendly and attentive. A real gem and the perfect gym for my needs with a swimming pool, jacuzzi, and steam room. Not too crowded, members are nice, and the staffs are very friendly. Shoutout to Esme and Taqiyah for being so accommodating and welcoming!

Positive experience: a lot of activities with the good subscription. it’s a great place to hang out with friends. however, it’s pretty expensive. I don’t think its worth the money, but you do whatever you want. if tennis, badminton, table tennis, these things interest you, definitely give it a try

Negative experience: I go to the facility all the time usually in the mornings Monday - Friday! Taqiyah is the one I interact with most and she is wonderful lady, always friendly, has a smile on her face and willing to help. On multiple occasions I have witnessed her manager Esme speak down to her and speak to her with very little respect. I am not one to usually leave reviews like this but it is about time it is brought to attention how this woman is treating the staff at this facility. Coming from an individual who works in customer service, and in a manager role if I EVER talked to my staff with such disrespect let alone in front of guests there would be some consequences. I could just imagine how Taqiyah was feeling in that moment, let alone think this is what we see how is she treating staff behind closed doors? If this does make it to management please know that coming from your guest Taqiyah is always wonderful and willing to help, she is friendly and just makes you feel so welcomed. Taqiyah if you do see this review, I am so sorry for what you experienced today, but keep up the amazing work.

Negative experience: My friend and I went to use the pool and since you cannot bring food and beverages so we decided to order food and drink from them. We ordered Margarita with lemon but we got just an orange juice with few drops of tequila. Also Nachos was awful there was almost no cheese on it and the saad wasn’t fresh. First and last time. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL.

Negative experience: When the yoga class instructor was away, there's no supplementary instructor to host the class, and the participants were not informed. As a result, the participants were waiting in the yoga room for one entire hour. It's not only one time, it's not 2, it's not 3 times, it's every time. I am not sure if there is any remedy action to be taken soon. This has been escalated to the Club Manager who said she didn't aware of the absence of the instruction, so there's nothing she could do. Now it's going nowhere. I hope this chaos can be resolved soon.

Negative experience: Extremely unprofessional management who problem solves with raising her voice. Highly untrained staff in terms of policies and general terms of the agreement. Do not waste your money and time as the facility itself is very small and not child friendly at all. The water's temperature is always low. The hot tub is never hot and is a joke! It is also closed and under maintenance at least 5 times a month. Membership is a total loss and only in the benefit of the operator.

Fantastic experience: I joined Parkway Fitness at the end of July. I have loved every minute I've spent there. The staff are amazing, the facility is covid safe. They are constantly cleaning the facilities. The pools are a great temperature, and mostly crowded on the weekend. I am always able to get in a pool workout when I am available and have really enjoyed the AquaFit classes.

Fantastic experience: I have discovered this outdoor pool this summer and it was the best option (close to home) to spend a great hot day! Esme, Maggie and the whole staff are great hosts and I better don’t start taking about the food which is DElicious!!

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to the outdoor pool for a few years.. and honestly, there's no better spot to spend your summer. The facilities and place are amazing, but the people who work there are even better. Esme, wonderful. Samantha, excellent. But Talin, who has been there for years, is above and beyond incredible/astounding. You literally cannot ask to be surrounded by better people and service. Strongly recommend to anyone.
Fantastic experience: This is a great low key racquet and fitness club. The pools are large, clean and heated. The courts and exercise equipment are in good shape. The entire staff are helpful and professional. I have to give a special shout-out to Diane who works at the front desk. Her smiling face and friendly attitude really add to the positive atmosphere of this club!

Fantastic experience: Consistent service, nice friendly staff. It has pretty much everything with good price. Not a lot of GYM has that many racquet sports.

Negative experience: DO NOT waste your money and time if you are going to use outdoor pool. NOT KIDS FRIENDLY AT ALL. Awful, disturbing experience. My children and I were literally assaulted by one of the members, just because children were jumping into the pool .
Thanks Alla for taking the time to rate our club. The outdoor pool is a shared pool and jumping into the pool may have bothered this member more during your time of your visit. There are also two indoor pools available to enjoy. We've also refreshed our outdoor pool this year so hope you can visit us next year when it re-opens.
Positive experience: Pretty happy about switching. We were at the Mayfair and changed because they kept jacking up the rates and then started charging extra to use the facilities. Seriously! So this place is pretty low key. Casual. Not as big. But also, had everything we want pls, it is half the price. I'm good with that. And super friendly staff!

Fantastic experience: This gym and sports club is a small size gym, providing services to both a hotel and a huge condominium besides it and all residents and guests are subscribed and allowed to use the services of this gym. But it is not too busy and you will always find empty equipment to try. It has two small pools, indoor and outdoor and outdoor one is closed in fall and winter.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I came here to use the facilities. We met with a young man named Jason and he was absolutely incredible. He was so sweet, he explained how everything works and the food was amazing! We definitely love the staff here and the atmosphere is very welcoming. We will definitely be back again.

Positive experience: These facilities are an eyesore. The interior looks like a soviet gymnasium. Drab colors, worn equipment, strangle layouts. From a purely mechanical sense, if you want to play racquet, tennis, swim, lift weights, etc. You can do this perfectly fine, but I dislike the feeling that I have traveled back to 1970. If you went to a modern fitness club, or a university/college facility, it may be jarring to see the difference.
