Positive experience: Not the best gym i've visited on a base, but definitely up there. I would say it is probably the 4th nicest gym i've seen across every base i've been to.

Positive experience: Good clean gym but temperature is way too high. Even the change rooms are saunas. Gym area needs the AC to be turned up. Probably the hottest gym I’ve ever been to across Canada. Definitely not optimal for people’s health while exercising.

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym with a ton of amenities. There are constant little improvement from month to month. The field house can be a bit loud in the morning with all of the group PT.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful swim. They have tube floats as well as a rope swing for the adults. Not to mention they're amazing hot tub. My body Felt So Good. And it was only $5 for a 2-hour swim.

Positive experience: Decent gym facilities some of the equipment though a little rough they could update some of it and for a military gym where strength should be priority one they're sort of lacking in the strength equipment. They need more racks, more bars and more plates

Positive experience: Honestly, I the feel and layout is a better than PSP Gagetown. The lights for one! Gagetowns fieldhouse is so dang dark.. why? Dunno.. the vibes are way off too.

Positive experience: I mean it’s a good facility for its buck , it has everything you need and some! The only thing I’m not pleased with is that when the sauna goes down their maintenance crew takes forever to fix it. As someone with PTSD I utilize the sauna on a regular basis for all it’s amazing health benefits and it’s one of the main reasons I train here because it has a sauna and I know for certain that a lot of the guys on base use the sauna for the same reason; after speaking with some of them and over hearing chatter in the locker room. This is an essential part of a lot of the guys routines and it’s quite frustrating to know that even know the federal budget is there to fix it (immediately) they still seem to intentionally take for ever to fix it. I don’t know maybe it’s man power, maybe they spend too much time shopping around for the cheapest contractor who knows ‍♂️. All I know is that it’s been down for a few months now and I noticed my health gets effected by this. I am unsure why the upper echelon at this place don’t push this issue. I know if I was a leader I’d want my troops as healthy as I can get them but this doesn’t seem to be a priority in our Canadian Military these days. If anyone even reads these it be great if you can get the sauna fixed!

Negative experience: My 1st experience at this facility sadly was not a good one. The staff was extremely rude when you approach to ask question. They would cut you off, snap at you and rolled thier eyes. wouldn't allow you to speak, it was a simple error on the facilities part with timing and an easy fix. But it was almost like your bothering them. I am appalled by this experience and how the 2 employees conducted themselves. No acknowledge on the staffs part to take ownership of the behavior even if the situation escalated to a point it should not have.

Positive experience: Buell gym is a large area to get lost in your fitness regime! Lots of different areas to accommodate every level of fitness. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars because some of the equipment is outdated, some equipment not working.

Negative experience: One of life guard are very rude. They destroyed my day with kids. One of life guard complain that my son was sitting on a rope, which wasn't true, because most of the time we playing with ball. Then life guard asked me and my family to leave, honestly for no reason. And in the end when I said, that I'm not gonna leave, because, there was no reason for me and my kids to leave, they call police On my opinion it was discrimination, and so unfair.

Positive experience: The apron around the track in the field house is a little crowded and the one run-off area is blocked off and filled with the portable bleachers and, I suspect, non-serviceable equipment. The locker room is clean and functional and the sauna is very nice after a workout.

Negative experience: Brutal to be here on course during covid. It's impossible to get a time booked for the weight room and their rules don't allow for any kind of cross training in other sections. For example, you cannot use dumbbells if you have the racks booked at all. The staff aren't as welcoming as they used to be either and are clearly unhappy with how many rules they're trying to enforce. Save yourself the headache of it all and get a gym membership in town.

Fantastic experience: This is a military establishment. Located on base borden. Total outfit. All sports gear, indoor track, gym dividing wall. Olympic size pool and out door pool. Weight room. Cardio equipment. Changers with showers. Full time staff qualified personal trainers. Barber shop. Probably milling some amenities. The military does their fitness support well.

Positive experience: Not very happy since we pay for a membership and the pool is not able to be used until new year.... rebates should be given to family's who has memberships to use the pool.

Positive experience: Great gym but they dont maintain it. They let little things go that end up getting big problems. The weight room have old old old fluo tube and most the the tube are dead. Celling tiles are missing, machines are not maintained and cables crack or snaps off... Etc...

Fantastic experience: Lots of space. Tons of cardio equipment, friendly staff, always a cleanly facility. Basketball courts, squash courts, swimming. Name it, and you can do it here.

Fantastic experience: Equipment is well maintained and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. I really like that there's an interesting climbing wall. Downside is the open hours are a little tighter than you'd like if you're a really early morning or late night person.
