Fantastic experience: I’ve been with this gym since it opened. For the price they charge, it’s good value in my opinion. The staffs are friendly and work really hard to manage the gym as best as possible. The lady’s shower may need a touch up but I seldom use it.

Fantastic experience: A good gym for basic work out routines in a convenient location. Much has been said online about their cancellation policy. I think the verbiage should be improved so there isn't so much confusion. The common complaint is Hone Fitness withdrawing funds after the cancellation fee has been paid upfront. There isn't anyone to call and it's all done by e-mail. I monitored my bank account & sure enough, they withdrew funds after I paid the cancellation fee. I dealt with Thaise and Camila, who were patient throughout the process. A refund was applied to my credit card, so Hone Fitness appears to have improved this process. Too bad it wasn't refunded to my chequing account. I think being polite when dealing with the reps goes a long way towards getting the problem solved - remember you cannot reach them by phone. They get a 5 star review for having a positive gym atmosphere and for keeping their promise to refund the money! Thanks Hone Fitness!

Fantastic experience: Great gym, with lots of machines and weights, at an affordable price. I tried three different units, and all were very similar in space and the amount of equipment available. Staff is very friendly and is always available if you need help!

Positive experience: 3.5/5. Solid, clean gym with friendly staff. For the price and location it suits my needs. However, there is no reason to blast the most obnoxious music when nearly everyone in 2024 uses headphones or airpods. I understand they need to play music for folks who do not prefer their own but does it have to be so loud that it can bleed through my headphones?

Negative experience: Senselessly terrible. If 0 stars was an option I would have chosen it.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming here for the last 3 years and this is my favourite Hone location. Super central, equipment is always clean and relatively tidy, and staff are great. Thiya especially is such a joy to be around, great customer service and always incredibly warm.

Fantastic experience: I don’t live in Toronto anymore, but I come back every summer for 1-2 months. I always join Hone Fitness when I’m here, and I’ve never had any issues canceling my membership with them when it’s time for me to leave. The front reception staff is always so friendly & helpful, and the gym itself is clean & well maintained. I also love that it’s never too busy in the mornings/afternoons when I come. Highly recommend

Positive experience: It is what it is lol. Honestly not bad outside of the evening/weekend rush times. There have been a few times where I've gone just to do cardio and there weren't any machines available. It's small so that's to be expected. Staff are super friendly and always greet you with a smile when you walk in, and the gym has everything you need for a good workout.

Negative experience: It's always so crowded here, and the hours aren't that accommodating to my schedule. It works for a lot of other folks, so good for them. The worst part about this gym is trying to cancel your membership. They make it nearly impossible. My friend had to cancel her credit card to get them to stop billing it after several weeks of her going in, trying to cancel in person, and then sending several emails as they kept billing her. I'm hoping I don't have to go that route. Be aware of that if you do join this gym.

Fantastic experience: Member since day 1. Overall, the gym is great even though it is not as big and has most of the essentials but lacking a bit in terms of variety especially for cable attachments to make up for the lack of space for more machines. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and have been maintaining the gym fairly well. Convenient location and decent price.

Fantastic experience: Such a great neighborhood spot! Love that the staff all greet you like you’ve been coming for a long time (I am pretty new). Everything is clean and organized, machines get fixed quickly. The only downside is that the interior could use a bit of a facelift. Overall, great experience. Really happy this place in my hood!

Positive experience: El gimnasio parece pequeño por fuera pero por dentro tiene dos pisos de muy buen tamaño, está muy bien equipado y limpio, perfecto para diferentes tipos de entrenamiento y las máquinas de cardio excelentes condiciones. Me encanta entrenar aquí. Lo único malo es acerca de las chicas del personal, ellas son groseras, son dos chicas latinas, no contestan los saludos y hacen caras desagradables, me lo han hecho a mí y he observado que lo hacen con otras chicas (sobre todo si son latinas como ellas, yo también soy latina) y con los hombres o con gente de otras nacionalidades cambian el trato completamente diferente, decepcionante. Aunque veo que aquí hay buenos comentarios sobre el servicio al cliente, reitero que no es con todos y eso lo hace más triste, en fin. Pero en cuanto al gimnasio es un excelente gimnasio. Buenos precios.

It's pretty clean and well maintained, the only thing is, that around 4-6, it is pretty crowded. But it has everything you need for a good workout! and at the price it is offered for, there is no reason not to check it out! or try the 3 day free trial!

Fantastic experience: Great space, has everything needed. For a smaller downtown gym, there are three dedicated deadlift stations along with a large functional fitness area. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Negative experience: The soap dispenser has been broken for two months in the men's room. They won't even buy soap for the men. But boy they must get paid in excuses becuse when it comes to doing work the employee have extra to spare. Of all the hone fitnesses this is the least looked after by corporate. Or and this would be bad corporate is lazy.

Fantastic experience: Of all of the gyms I have been to, this one has the friendliest, nicest, most helpful staff. All of them. Can’t say enough good things. The space is professional, clean and always well maintained. Overall it is welcoming to a whole variety of people, there isn’t a weird intimidating vibe - everyone is really chill. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: This gym is DANK. Low ceilings, cramped and no air flow. Going to it for now b/c it's well-priced and locations are okay. Out of all the locations I've been to so far, this one is unfortunately the worst one by far. I hope they open another spot in the westend that's bigger.

Positive experience: They are affordable, don't expect the best facilities tho, they have all the equipment you need, better than planet fitness which has no squat racks, but they don't have good showers or changeroom

Negative experience: DO NOT SIGN UP TO THIS GYM!!!!!! I went for 1 day and tried cancelling. In fact it has not been 7 months of emails asking them to cancel my membership with numerous non responses and they are still charging me, still emailing giving me numerous hoops to jump through and asking for more money just to cancel. And STILL they will not cancel and just keep charging me. Tired of literally begging them to stop and still they continue. A shameful and disrespectful company with atrocious customer service.

Negative experience: Todo el equipo está muy bien, lo malo es que yo me inscribí al igual que mi novia y siempre pagamos puntuales y cuando cancelamos nos cobraron a cada uno por cancelar 60 dólares solo por cancelar (60*2)= 120 dólares en un día por cancelar, entre los dos y eso que no tenía pagos atrasados. Se me hace un robo que te cobren por cancelar y te justifiquen que la cancelación te permite llegar 2 meses más al gym. Señores quiero cancelar por motivos personales no quiero que me cobren por adelantado para poder cancelar. Vuelvo y repito me cobraron por cancelar a mi y mi pareja 120 dólares en un día y eso que no tenía pagos atrasados por hacer.

Fantastic experience: Very similar experience to others. It's a great gym for the price. It is quite busy on weeknights after 5 PM but you can always work your routine around what machines are being used by others. The staff are super friendly and accommodating!

Positive experience: I hesitate to join a gym that claims to charge bi-weekly, but requires a one-year commitment… or apparently one can join with “no commitment” and get charged bi-weekly, but you have to give 45-days notice for cancellation… this means there is a commitment. How can I trust a gym if they can’t even be honest and straightforward about their pricing model?

Negative experience: the people that work there are Scam Artists. i paid $300 for personal training sessions last year and they took the money and ran with it.

Positive experience: Staff is friendly and has decent equipment. It can be difficult to use equipment at peak hours though. Very clean.

Negative experience: Thèse people are actual thieves. They will keep charging your card after you tell them to cancel your membership. Put your money towards a gym that is transparent and won’t steal your money

You know this because even when the manager is not around, service remains top notch and the environment orderly and clean. All Hone locations need such leadership. Keep up the great work!

Fantastic experience: Good gym for the money that they charge. I know people want to feel special with a more upmarket gym but they’ve made it very accessible to people financially. The atmosphere is not intimidating. If you’ve already had a routine, this ticks many boxes . Why pay more if you’ll get the same good body by exercising regularly anyway?

Negative experience: This gym is just a quick money making scammm for its handlers. I signed up because it was close. I just put up with the fact you have to wait 30 minutes to use a dumbell and they don't have proper sanitation or staff the help when needed. I recently lost my job and have to move. I can't afford anything right now and they just informed me I must pay them to cancel my membership. They never mentioned this when I asked them a couple months ago. Now they want some extra cash from me. Absolutely disgusting!

Negative experience: I wouldn’t like to leave a bad review as I have been working out here since they opened.The staff are respectful, friendly.However the gym keeps increasing the monthly membership. At the same time some machines staying out of service for a while.And the staff salary is staying the same.They’re paid minimum wage it’s not fair.So I’m not happy at all to pay $62 after tax.You could pay a bit more to join a gym like YMCA with lots of amenities!

Negative experience: I was a member at the Bloor/Christie Hone Fitness. I was forced to cancel my membership in sept because I refused to get vaccinated. Hone fitness withdrew 3 bi weekly payments as stated in their policy for members who wish to cancel. I haven’t used the gym since Oct 31st, 2021 and all of a sudden on May 11th and May 25th 2022, I was being charged bi weekly payments. I haven’t gone back to their gym, I haven’t re signed a new membership with them. So when I told them not to take payments, they cancelled my Membership and quickly withdrew 3 bi weekly payments ($60+). Give me my money back. I don’t want to be your customer. Stop charging my visa randomly!!

Negative experience: I got to say I was disappointed with the customer service at this Hone Fitness location. My fiancé and I came here in December 2022, and when we signed up, the employee there said it is a pay-as-you-go, contract-free gym, and they charge bi-weekly. If we don't go, we stop paying, and if we want to go again, we will start paying again. We asked how the gym policy works, and that's what they said, so we found that it is a good deal, and we signed up. We stopped going to the gym due to the Covid regulations in January, where only gyms are allowed at 50% capacity. We decided not to go. On May 11, 2022, my fiancé and I wanted to resume going to the gym again and we got there we were told that we owe $160! When we told them the situation mentioned above, the employee there was so rude and offered no solution. She said nobody told us that policy and basically wanted us to pay the $160 and her poor example was "The membership is like having a rogers account."

Negative experience: Terrible customer service & scam-like charging practices. When I signed up I was told by the employee that its a month to month basis and when I want to stop the membership I just have to stop paying. So I did that while I tried out a different gym. I went back to Hone and found out I owed them $160! I told the employee there what I just wrote above and she just gave me a very stinky attitude and offered 0 ways to help out. She even said that she trained all the employees and theres no way an employee would say that to me. So she was essentially calling me a liar? I scanned my membership card and it obviously showed the last time I went to Hone was a few months ago so why would you want to charge me for months I DIDNT go to your gym? I would highly recommend going to ANY other gym as Ive NEVER experienced such a salty employee at any other gym. (Ive tried out many including Goodlife, Planet fitness, Equinox, and Vive) Needless to say ill never go back to Hone and will be spreading the word.

Negative experience: My name is Chris and I am on the autsim spectrum and went into the gym to get accessibility AODA information and the gym discriminated against me because of my disability and the manager had no clue what the AODA Accessibility for Ontarins with Disabilities Act is what is extremely concerning. If you have a disability stay away from this gym.

Fantastic experience: Pretty great gym for price point. Every is typically nice and easy going so you feel more welcomed overall. Looking forward to making gains and friends here. Regarding canellation for those who are curious) Theres a fee and 45 days notice. Each location has its own set of rules so read the contract popup, etc.. it's worth the 5 mins spent doing so. Trust me.

Negative experience: La salle est pas cher et bien équipée. Le personnel plutôt sympathique et accueillant. En revanche, il devrait y avoir plus de règle dans cette salles, les gens ne se changent pas toujours, ne mettent pas leur affaire dans les lockers et traînent leur sac dans la salle. Fantastic experience: I'm not sure I can relate to some of these negative comments left by other reviewers, as I've genuinely only had positive experiences with Hone Fitness (and I'm there fairly often) . There's a decent selection of equipment (cardio, machines & free weights) and its all in excellent condition. The Bloor location is fairly big (spread over two floors) meaning you rarely ever have to wait to use things. The people aren't at all douchy and everyone seems respectable of other people's space. You definitely can't say this about a lot of other gyms.. The staff at the front desk are super friendly For a fairly cheap no-frills gym I honestly think we've lucked out massively to have this in the area Also, for those complaining about the cancellation policy. It's all there in the contract when you sign up...

Positive experience: Good: Solid equipment selection. 6 racks, 4 platforms. Decent dumbbell selection. Bumper plates. Belt squat machine. Flattering mirrors. Quality AC. Near post workout bubble tea. Nice staff. Hardworking crowd. Cheap. Meh: 3/6 racks on slightly uneven ground. Weak sauce water fountain in basement level. No urinals. Bad: no women's bar.

Positive experience: Great location, kind staff, always clean, and usually not too busy. The cardio machines are great. The strength training machines they have are great too. (It would be nice to have a few more for variety, but there probably wouldn't be room! So it's definitely a good selection for the amount of space they have to work with) . Positive experience: Solid gym with many power racks, nice machines (mostly hammer strength), they even have a fancy trap bar and belt squat in the basement. Some weird rules though, such as "no dropping weights" even though they have dozens of bumper plates (specially designed to be dropped) and no chalk, which is lame (just bring liquid chalk and clean off the bar with the provided wipes when you're done).

Positive experience: Not the biggest or cleanest sometimes but still a really good gym with a good selection of equipment, friendly staff, and inexpensive membership. Generally doesn’t get too crowded either

Fantastic experience: I really like Hone and the christie location is very clean and not too busy, It is way smaller though, their best one is the Pape location which is very large and spacious

Negative experience: I’m not in Toronto, I don’t have any deposit on my bank accout now and this gym charged me the fee after reopening. Now it appears minus(-)$27.52 they said I will be in 3 additional billing cycles until cancelling as stipulated in my agreement. This is how they think of their members and do business. I mean some people could forget about the mebership during 8-months-lockdown. They have sent so many meaningless mails in this pandemic so, I’ve never thought there would be a notice about the resumption of billing.

Fantastic experience: Just started going to this gym, and I LOVE it here! The location is amazing, and a really comfortable open space for me to workout considering that this is supposedly the smaller location. There's more than enough equipment for my needs (considering the vast amount of power racks) and for the price you're paying, this has exceeded my expectations. The staff is super friendly and accommodating to your needs especially Shawn (I hope I spelled your name right!), great guy you can tell he loves being a part of what he does and is always attentive to what's going on at the gym for the sake of our safety. The Annex is a friendly, fun and energetic location to be in and having this gym only adds to that experience!
