St Marys YMCA

Fantastic experience: Located in a beautiful neighborhood and easy walk from our AirBNB! Staff are very kind and the gym was not busy during the time we visited. Clean facility and a yoga class was underway during our workout. Would recommend it if you're in the area!

Negative experience: Expensive!!! because you get access to all locations… should be a discount to have just access to this one because the equipment is rough, old, and limited. It’s nice I can drive a minimum of 25 minutes which also cost gas , time, and vehicle wear, to another ymca. I’d rather go to the closer gym to work out.

Fantastic experience: That’s good. It has steam or sauna service. Not like the YMCA in cambridge.

Fantastic experience: YMCA is a good place to go to if you're new in town and you want to connect with your community and if you're seeking a job. They have a lot of programs for all types of age groups.

Positive experience: The ladies who work at the YMCA are friendly and helpful. everything is kept quite clean thanks to hard working staff and thoughtful members cleaning up after themselves. The gym is equipped with an aging late 1990’s/early 2000’s Life Fitness circuit, 4 treadmills, stepper, a few other cardio pieces, smith machine, half rack and boasts a free weight area with dumbbells up to 100 lbs. Overall, the YMCA of St Marys has plenty to get a good workout in at any level of fitness. They had to remove a handful of machines, my guess is due to limited space and new space restrictions due to Covid regulations. The negative? Pricing for month to month is like $75-80, which I would expect at a higher end club with modern equipment and frivolous services like fresh towels. If you have a family, rates are better but single individuals pay an extraordinary premium, especially for a gym that is reducing the amount of aging equipment it offers. On the bright side, hopefully YMCA will use this money to invest in more equipment. To sum up, it’s great that ymca is making this facility avabile to portions of their community. I enjoy training at this gym and am grateful I am in a place in my life that I can afford to. When I was younger that may not have been the case

Fantastic experience: I find the place is fine and great staff.I go late mornings or early afternoons and there are not many people there.Meets my needs just fine.

Positive experience: Nice and clean but a bit expensive if you have to pay full price

Negative experience: Just to small and the price is just crazy it's ok if you are the only one there
