Positive experience: Good facility, but the last 2 times I've tried to go here they were closed early. 7:05 on a Thursday and 7:30 another day. Cmon !!
I have to apologize for that we got short staffed for a week due to sickness. As health & fitness business our staff will not work when sick. As a 3 employee business it doesn’t take much until you have no staff available or hours are drastically cut back. Sorry about the inconvenience.
Fantastic experience: Perfect little gym with a really great selection of equipment. More of a private style gym vibe versus a big chain gym.

Positive experience: Great resource for the town of Slave Lake and they have partnerships with Peace River and I think Spruce groove. A happy place and their equipments are pretty standard.

Fantastic experience: The owner is fantastic and the employees provide great service. Pretty well rounded gym equipment for bodybuilding and for powerlifters. Definitely recommend for anyone in the area.

Negative experience: Fyi...Your website link isn't working. I tried a few times and it wouldn't work.
Yes the domain server hosting championsfitness.ca went down and the problem was completely out of our hands. The problem was rectified within few days. Don’t you think it’s a little excessive to rate a business with one star for an external interference of their operations? We have absolutely no control over domain providers, all we can do is request repairs when they go down.

Positive experience: One of the more expensive gyms I've been to in the last 10 years or so, but it's the only gym in town as far as I'm aware, so I'm just glad it's here. They've got a really good variety of equipment, and the small space is utilized really well. It doesn't feel too crowded but they seem to have at least one of everything. I suppose it's also nice that they're open 24 hours, although I'm not really a middle-of-the-night-exerciser myself.
Fantastic experience: Great gym with everything you need! Super clean and comfortable atmosphere. The owner is fantastic - very welcoming and makes you feel like you are a part of the community.

Positive experience: Great gym, equipment, and COVID-19 measures. However, may be I am wrong, but I found the staff to be bit rude and persist unprofessional customer attitude.
Sorry if we have mistreated you or offended you. We strongly believe in customer service and professional conduct but during these tough pandemic restrictions/operations we have been pushed to our limits and been treated unfairly (continuously attacked) by members of our community. Our biggest goal right now is surviving COVID-19 and following the government mandated restrictions/rules which some are not supportive of. We want to stay open! We are tired of the attacks, members not following COVID protocols. If we came out as rude, I’m sorry but this hasn’t been an easy 2 years to an industry that’s getting battered by unfair rules, closures, and impatient customers who don’t understand we have no say in what is mandated by our government. Staff are humans too and are getting the blunt of it on a daily basis. If you have specific issue that you would like to discuss with us please email the owner directly at [email protected]

We appreciate all feedback. We understand you are concerned with our rates. Our rates are based on our equipment, level of service/hygiene and our facility. Our cardio equipment is fully networked, meaning you can use Netflix, Spotify, YouTube, etc. while you exercise. They are also Bluetooth compatible, so no more bouncing headphone cables pulling on your ears while you run. They also have self-diagnostic features to help ensure the equipment is properly maintained before they break down. We have a Janitorial Service come in and clean every day, in addition to the routine cleaning that our staff perform. We are constantly introducing new equipment to the facility. We could have purchased low end equipment, brought the janitorial service in every other day, never upgraded our equipment etc. But that’s not the type of business we run. We pride ourselves on our customer service, high standard of hygiene, equipment, and facility.
Fantastic experience: Whenever I drive by I always see someone getting into better shape, maybe one day I will hahaha. It always looks clean and the equipment looks up to date.

Negative experience: Did not shovel sidewalks
We always appreciate feedback. I pulled the camera footage for today and yesterday. The snow was removed in both videos. The storm ended in the morning. Cameras show that the bobcat was clearing the parking lot by 4pm. And the sidewalks were cleared by 2pm. We try hard to provide a positive environment. But remember, this is Northern Alberta. It snows. And to have someone that quickly on site on a Sunday, during the holidays, during unstaffed hours, is pretty good in our books.
