Fantastic experience: always the best time ever

Fantastic experience: This place is great! We are lane swimmers and had ample room to swim here. We swam on a Friday and Sunday. The pool was clean and is updated. The pass was only $6. A great deal, almost half of what we pay to swim in Saskatoon.

Fantastic experience: It's a fun place to take your kids. A little crowded on summer. It definitely needs a sitting area nearby to rest and have some food and drinks, or even a buffet.

Positive experience: I visited the pool with my daughter and grandson this morning and found it to be quite the chaotic experience. It was extremely overcrowded between the general admission swimmers and all the swimming lessons. More than half the warm pool was closed off to the general public which left the other portion very crowded and overwhelming. On a positive the pool is always very clean and the life guards are attentive.

Positive experience: My wife and daughter were swimming the other day and my daughter was practicing holding her breath and blowing bubbles putting her face in the water. Apparently there's some kinda ☆NEW☆ rule where you can't hold your breath under water?? My wife was accosted by the staff and told to stop. For context, my daughter is 12. These people obviously lack training, as this is common practice when breath training for lap swimming. And being supervised by her mother!! ( a certified life guard and competetitive swimmer) Hey Sechelt Pool!!! STAY IN YOUR LANE!!!

Fantastic experience: Just go! Don't like crowds...go in the morning..The vortex in the Lazy River is therapeutic. Lots of powerful jets for your sore muscles at a low temperature. World Class.

Positive experience: Lots of life guards. Heard kids keep asking for the slide to open. They finally opened close to two hours of waiting just to close after 5 minutes. A lot of the kids you could hear their disappointment knowing that they missed getting a turn or even just to go twice. A lot of the parents were talking about this. Unsure why it wouldn't be open longer since it pulls almost every kid away from the pools and therefore not needing so many eyes on the pools. I know myself, the kids I was with and the other parents and kids were quite disappointed. This is the only pool on this side of the coast that has a slide. This isn't the first time we've missed the 5 minutes of slide time.

Positive experience: Everything you need is there.

Fantastic experience: We always have a great time here. I've been taking my son here since he was about 6 months old. They have lots of floats and life jackets available to borrow and the lazy river is so fun. The colourful lights and music are such a fun touch we always enjoy.

Positive experience: Great place to swim. Options to do lanes, diving board, lazy river, slide, climbing wall etc. except not all of those things will be open at a time. Seems they close the slide and only open it randomly. Climbing wall never got open while we were there. Water features turned on for a bit etc. would be cool if everything could run at the same time cuz then certain areas wouldn’t be so busy. Water temp was warm. Kids enjoyed the lazy river. Change rooms with showers. No cameras allowed in the pool area.

Fantastic experience: Love the fitness classes!

Positive experience: It's a nice facility but their schedule to close the pool during the summer, and being closed during some of the hottest days is just stupid. They should have done the mandatory Maintenance earlier in the year when they wouldn't be as busy and wouldn't be as hot. Some can't get out to Pender or gibsons

Negative experience: The gym would be 1000%better if there was 1-2 more proper power racks where people could squat,deadlift and bench. Get rid of some cardio machines or move them into the other room.

Negative experience: Gym is fine but no discount given on month pass despite the pool, change rooms and basically all other amenities being closed for the entire month

Fantastic experience: Wow, this place is truly awesome! It’s hard to believe it’s around $50 a month. On top of that, I got a $39 annual card for my kid, and having the privilege to go swimming anytime is an absolute blessing. Huge thanks to the Sunshine Coast Regional District and its wonderful facilities!

Fantastic experience: I've been going to the spin and strength class offered in the mornings and it has been great. Wonderful, welcoming group of people - it feels very inclusive and makes you want to continue!

Fantastic experience: Great aquatic centre. A lazy river, a shallow end with some dump buckets, sprays and a little kids side in the deeper end. Multiple lanes in the lap pool, a swimming rock wall, diving board, and basketball hoop too. There's a sauna, a steam room and a decent sized hot tub. Staff were very pleasant, lifeguards visible and friendly. Worth a visit.

Fantastic experience: I recommend it. It is a clean place. You can spend hours in peace. Exercise and go to the sauna. The people who work there, super friendly. Everything is perfect and clean congratulations.

Positive experience: Amazing facility for a small town, only the actual gym facility is super lacking and over crowded. They need to double the size of the workout area and add squat, deadlift and and a bit more free weight area. Would be amazing then. Maybe a few more classes as well.

Positive experience: I use the pool only and change rooms. For over 5 years the Centre never fixed the dangerously hot shoer setting. The only 1 of 2 change rooms for disabled has not succeeded in restoring the shower for about a year now. The shortage of life guards has reduced pool access times as well. Other than that, it’s a marvellous recreational centre with a great weight room too. But I had to be generous to award it 3 stars. Yup, disappointed but still privileged to have what many dont.

Positive experience: Beautiful facility. Steam room, sauna, lazy river, leisure pool, hot tub... well maintained. One complaint is that many people use the pool without showering first.

Positive experience: The aquatic center is great, however the gym lacks equipment( proper squat rack, dip machine) and is way too packed for such a small facility. They charge premium fees for a poor quality gym

Fantastic experience: great experience! It was full, but not crowded. The lazy river is amazing after a day of biking/ activities. The slide was open for short intervals. The hot tub is HOT. The showers are HOT. Otherwise, very clean and will be back!

Negative experience: Great facility but haven't been able to make it in before they close do to the fact that work during the day and their hours of operation are 9-4:30..... what a joke. They should be open until at least 8pm

Fantastic experience: Used to go there all time and spend hours there. Great friendly, beautiful lifeguards whom always treated me with respect. I miss this facility and the lifeguards! This place provides a safe haven and another slice of heaven to burn off stress and detox with sauna, whirlpool, steamroom!

Positive experience: Overall the pool is quite good, my main issue is the price. It's almost 12 dollars to swim as an adult with a child. They also make you pay for a locker token, which feels like gouging to me. Also, you used to be able to use your reciept to get you back in the facility later in the day if you wanted to return. Now they no longer let you do that, it really feels unreasonable to me that a public facility is trying to squeeze every dollar out of you when you come to use it.

Fantastic experience: As the shower were closed at the campground due to the drought, we were able to take a shower at the Aquatic center for $3. Open area shower.

Positive experience: It was good ,gym was nice and clean and equipment had good distancing . Surprised I was the only wearing a mask while I was working out tonight!!!!!!

Positive experience: I was truly saddened by the lack of competent staff. They were rude and it left a bad taste in my mouth. However, hats off to the cleaning crew, I must say the change rooms have never looked so good before, they were practically gleaming.

Negative experience: Got discriminated over my physical disability requiring full time wheelchair access and being native. My family member and I had to fight to use the equipment for my needs. Plus being a veteran does not look good on them. Still remember that lifeguards name "Liz" and that's who gave us guff while we were visiting from out of town.

Positive experience: I'm not the type to leave reviews often unless I'm either impressed or quite disappointed. Especially when it comes to businesses in a small town. But since visiting this facility a few times both alone and and with my kids since moving to Sechelt recently, I have to say this place is pretty nice; both the pool and gym. There are a few staff members with bad attitudes, but it's well equipped and always very clean. Occasionally the chlorine smell can be overpowering but I prefer this location over the Gibson's location any day!

Fantastic experience: Superb. Great admin, diligent life guards, clean, busy. The pool is fun enough to keep a parent preoccupied whilst the kids play. The water is generally very very good. Steam, showers, great for anyone that needs some privacy changing with family rooms. The big red wateeslide at night is soooooo fun!!

Positive experience: This pool has awesome murals on the wall, lots of lanes for lane swims and it's only $7 for a drop in fee! I was here for business and was able to use the gym and pool after work. It's also got a sauna, steam room and hot tub which were lovely ways to end the day!
