Not only is the equipment user friendly and up to date, the gym is so clean, well maintained, and in a great location. The staff are also amazing. A major shout out to Gord and Shawn, who have been so helpful and encouraging. Gord in particular has gone above and beyond to share his vast knowledge on physical fitness. Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough about this gym and more importantly its staff. I have had a GoodLife membership for over 15 years. For a variety of reasons, I rarely used my membership. Then last fall, I started back. Immediately, I was met by Ashley who recognized what I needed were classes and the ability to draw on the support of others. She was so right. Then, she introduced me to Brad (spin and pump instructor extraordinaire!!) I fell in love with his classes, energy and the other people I have had the privilege of meeting up with several times a week. As a result I started coming faithfully 3-4 times per week. Next I met Greg for his classes and it became 5-6 times per week. These folks have truly helped me change my lifestyle, better manage my stress and make me feel like a part of a little community. I really do love coming to the gym!!

Fantastic experience: One of the best fitness communities I’ve been a part of. Great classes! When equipment needs repair it gets fixed within a week. Front Desk Employees go above and beyond; they just allow you to feel accomplished.

Fantastic experience: 10/10 Would recommend this gym specifically to anyone, they have some amazing staff (Kaelyn and Shawn) who always great you and treat you like family. The staff do a superb job keeping the club clean and the towels fresh.

Fantastic experience: I had started working out to be healthier and try to help my back issues. About a year into GL McAllister Place, I met Goodlife Gord! He took me aside and looked into my severe L4, L5 S1 issues and started me on a plan that would eventually change my life. 1 year later I am no longer on a surgery waitlist, I’m not scared to injure my back, and I’ve gained freedom to enjoy recreational sports and running again. To top it off I’m in the best shape of my life at 32. Without Gord and Goodlife I don’t know where I’d be. Highly recommend this gym and Gord. It’s given me control over my physical wellness again!

Fantastic experience: Best gym I've ever been to, and I've been to gyms in different countries! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. All the equipment is in excellent condition, and it's always clean. I always felt mentally and physically comfortable at this gym, which is a key factor in coming back time and time again. I have now moved and no longer live in Saint John, and I will really miss your gym! It's one of the very few things in Saint John that I'll miss. My place of power and relaxation. Negative experience: Nice gym and all but it’s advertised as “24 hours” everywhere when it’s not. Showed up a couple hours before work only to find the doors locked and “open at 7am” very inconvenient.

Fantastic experience: Excellent facilities, and comfortable workout space. The only cons were that in the late evenings, the changing rooms are messier and that they're not 24/7. Otherwise excellent staff, clean workout equipment and pretty good music.

Fantastic experience: I started coming regularly 4 weeks ago and the GM/BodyPump instructor Ashley has made such a huge impact in my life and in my health/fitness journey. Thanks so much GoodLife! Can’t wait to keep challenging myself each week.

Fantastic experience: What can I say but WOW. this is my third attempt at trying to stay consistent at the gym and I am 3 weeks in so far. Thanks to gord and Colton and the rest of the GoodLife staff they help keep me motivated to come in by always asking about your workouts and how you are otherwise. Colton is the man when it comes to help any questions you have he is sure to be there and show you how to do everything properly and safely. Gord is the best of the best when it comes to check ins. He will always ask about progress and give tips and his own time to show you how to do things. Thank you for everything you guys and the staff do for us.

Positive experience: Amazing gym, tons of equipment, really kind and helpful members besides like 1 out of 25 people. 1 less point for some missing machines like the hacksquat. Very spacious gym.

Fantastic experience: This is a fantastic gym. You won't find any other gym comparable in quality or convenience in Saint John. Colton and Andrew in particular were very helpful when it came to getting me my membership and answering questions. Every employee is socially energetic and a pleasure to be around. The crowd here is great as well.

Fantastic experience: There are 2 people I’d like to mention because both have gone above and beyond to help me. Colton and Steve both deserve far more than a 5 star. Colton has helped explained things to me and assist me with booking classes and making me feel welcome and happy to be there. He’s also signed up a daughter and offered to help her and make her feel as welcome as he has made me feel. Steve has helped me whenever he sees my posture isn’t quite right or if I’m unsure of something and he’s always right there and happy to give me pointers. I love hearing his laugh ring out through the gym. Both are amazing employees and I truly appreciate them and am so happy they are at this gym with me

Fantastic experience: The gym is super clean, pretty new, and fully-equipped. Shawn was especially knowledgeable and helpful for us. I did come across one creepy guy, but I guess they just exist in almost every gym unfortunately.

Fantastic experience: Hands down, the best experience I've had going into a gym. Colton was so friendly and helpful when setting up my fiancé and my memberships. The atmosphere of this location makes me want to go train, the staff are so kind and encouraging, and the space is extremely clean! Fantastic experience: I am not a newbie to fitness but I am to Goodlife. I've been a member for five months thus far at the Saint John NB gym. The equipment works smoothly & the many workout stations/machines are plentiful. Professionally managed yet a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Both management & staff make me feel welcome & offer encouraging words. If a gym can be fun, Goodlife in Saint John is. I appreciate each staff member equally, but if you've not ever been, you need to just to hear Big Steve's laugh; if you enter with a frown, you'll exit with a smile, a big smile.. Thank you Goodlife Fitness!

Fantastic experience: Shawn at this location is WONDERFUL! I’ve been to numerous Goodlifes across Atlantic Canada and no one has stood out like Shawn has. He always has great customer service and is always on top of cleaning/ensuring the gym is stocked. I’ve seen numerous situations where the front desk gets busy and he’s the only one working - yet still gives everyone the same positive attitude and attention despite the number of people requesting assistance. I really enjoy coming to the gym when Shawn is working. He makes me feel very welcome and taken care of :) his positive attitude truly radiates and is very appreciated. Kudos to you Shawn!

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this gym! The staff are all so kind and welcoming, answering any questions without hesitation! I’m typically in the gym between 8pm and midnight- Shawn and Kaelyn are always on top of everything keeping things tidy and making sure everyone can rely on the gym to be a safe space! Additionally, the women’s bathroom/locker rooms are extremely well taken care of! You can tell the night staff takes pride in their jobs!

Fantastic experience: Excellent staff and clean equipments. Very friendly staff that greets everyone and listen to members needs. More than a year ago, I recommended to a staff, Shawn, to purchase a barbell pad in the gym. He passed my recommendation to the manager. A few days later, several barbell pads showed up in the gym for members to use. Definitely a great place to workout.

Fantastic experience: There is something very special about this gym! The facility is well managed and maintained and the staff and instructors are phenomenal! A special shout out to Ashley. You will not find a more supportive, friendly, caring and engaged Assistant Manager. Every day I witness her going above and beyond. And we can’t forget to acknowledge Steve! Negative experience: I went there on Friday September the 16th 2022. The music was so loud, and I asked Seth to turn it down! He said his button was broken and he could not turn the music on the PA down! He said to turn my listening device to Max. It was already turned to Max and I still couldn't hear it clearly over the PA music. I could only put up with it for 20 minutes and then I left.

Fantastic experience: A big shout out to Katrina and Darlene from one of the early morning crowd. They take great care of us in a very plesant and cheerful way. A great way to start your day.

Fantastic experience: Hands down, some of the best and most helpful people I have encountered in a very long time. The staff genuinely want to see you do well and help at any chance they can. Gord (management) has been able to help me through excruciating sciatic pain and piriformis syndrome when physiotherapists weren't making a difference. I joined this gym on a whim because I was in pain and wanted to make a difference in my life. I am only in the beginning stage of this journey, and am beyond grateful for this Goodlife gym and all the wonderful people that work there. Huge thank you to all!

Negative experience: This gym has no wifi which is frustrating when you'd like to try a new piece of equipment and want to look up how to use it safely. For the price it doesn't make sense when every other gym and most businesses have wifi.

Fantastic experience: What a great place to work out, rarely have a hard time finding Machines or weights. Never appears to be overly crowded. The staff are simply amazing. Ashley is a Gem, always a smile on her face and happy to help. Then there is Gord. Always there to push you through your workout if you need a spot. He’s a wealth of knowledge whether it’s fitness or nutrition and has no problem taking time out of his hectic day to answer your questions. Big Steve is another great motivator! His laugh and happy attitude will turn your mood around in seconds! All the staff here are nothing short of awesome! More people need to be as happy as them!

Fantastic experience: Best gym Saint John has to offer!!!! Top notch staff who make you feel you're apart of more than just a gym. It's very well kept and staff are always on the ball with making sure equipment is clean. This gym has more than enough equipment that you'll never find yourself standing around waiting for something to become available. GoodLife makes sure you get 110% value for your money with many services and fitness classes.

Fantastic experience: Awesome by Mary Jacaleen Blizzard | Sep 25, 2012 Goodlife is awesome, I started August 10th 2012, its only sept 24th already i lost 19 pounds, the staff there are so supportive, I highly recommend asking to speak with Scott Marshall should anyone be interested in joining, or anyone of the staff for that matter. Everyone there is so eager to help get you on your way. I was always a couch potato, but since joining goodlife i love the exercise. Who knew, lol I am an incillin diabetic and the trainer Bethany set me up on a strict low carb diet and its been over 2 weeks now and still haven't had to take any injections, i love it!!! I was nervous at first about joining with co-ed facility but soon come to realize its not bad at all, i don't feel like i am being stared at and i don't feel anyone there is judging me either, we are all there for the same things i guess is what i am trying to say. I urge anyone to give goodlife i try, i promise you will not be sorry. Since joining goodlife i now have a whole new lifestyle and enjoy every second of it, here are a few words of wisdom i have come to realize. ( It will hurt, it will take time. It will require dedication, it will require will power. You will need to make healthy decisions, it requires sacrafice. You will need to push your body to the max, there will be temptation. BUT, I PROMISE YOU, when you reach your goal, whatever it may be. IT'S WORTH IT!!!)

Fantastic experience: I don't live in Saint John but I have had the pleasure of spending time here for the past 4 to 5 weeks and have been so impressed with the GoodLife in this city. I have been in many GoodLife's but this morning I was blown away when I witnessed the staff, led by the General Manager and Assistant Manager, removing all the dumbbells from the racks to thoroughly clean the racks. I was so impressed that I asked to take a picture to show to my home club in Ontario. This facility is first rate. The staff are super friendly. The gym is well equipped and spotless. Highly recommend getting a membership if you are looking for a great facility to work out in. I'll miss it when I go home.

Positive experience: Hoping the new competition in town gets this gym to up there game, The weight section is top notch but the stair climbers are always broken and the weekend hours are terrible!

Positive experience: good amount of equipment and friendly helpful staff. But they have to start organizing or at least forcing people to re-reack their weights. Too many gym rats dropping weights and walking away after quarter squat ego lifting less than their body weight. Also they need to do something about the washrooms, clean it once or twice a week at least.
