Negative experience: I do like coming here to work at the library, it's just annoying that the bathrooms are constantly closed for hours on end with no warning or indication when they'll be open again.

Negative experience: I am not going to lie I paid for a pass to swim. I was told to get out of the pool cause they were closing it for 15 minutes. I got to swim for 20 minutes and I was told to get out. I was not overly impressed to pay 22$ for 20 minutes. Online said the pool was open 8am till 11:30am it said nothing about closing. Also around the edges of the pool they had built up scum. Didn’t seem clean. Edit. My kid begged me to take her. It’s sooooo dirty! Scum all over and around pool! You can tell it is built up. Also I really wish they made the big pool warmer for all the kids. It’s so cold parents don’t want to go in the big pool. Everyone goes to the small pool so it is packed. Even the change rooms were super gross.

Fantastic experience: Great staff, with much patience, lol. They are each uniquely kind & are there to help for sure, even tho they must follow YMCA protocols hahaha, but that's not there fault so don't blame them, blame the system

Negative experience: The weight room lacks equipment. It’s mostly elderly people who stare when you’re there to actually work out. The pool has limited hours. The problem with this ymca is it’s attached to the school and the only rec Center in town, so all the hours are limited - not to mention the child minding.

Negative experience: Very unorganised, I have had different issues with them. On being my soms program was cancelled in Nov due to the instructor being sick I get it it happens. I was told he would be put into the class in January. Come January he is not on the list and cannot be added. We need to wait until after April again. I also confirmed in December he was on the January list to be told well he isnt. They need to organize themselves better.

Negative experience: Was a member for many years, but when hours are 9-3 p.m. Sat and closed Sun and 8 p.m. the rest of the week, how can you expect members to join?! So now we drive to gyms in Orleans that are cheaper, better equipped and open 24 hours.

Fantastic experience: Today I dropped my son off at the childminding area while I did a quick workout. Zara and Yaslin watched my son and they did a fantastic job. My son didn't want to leave when it was time to go. He had a lot of fun. It gives me a peace of mind that my son is being taken care of while I do my routine workout. We used the small pool. The water is warm and there were lots of water toys for infants there. Highly recommend this place!

Negative experience: Absolutely the worst customer service ever. Went in to inquire about a potential membership & the person behind the counter showed no interest or energy to provide information let alone attempt to emphasize the features or reason to sign up. It could have been a very easy sale fir her. Now, I would rather go anywhere else. However having now done my own research, it is definitely not worth the cost to sign up at ymca as they offer very little.

Positive experience: Great service, not a fan of their gym layout. However (!) their pool is well heated for toddler swimming lessons. And their yoga instructor seems cheery/ positive and motivating. Looking forward to more classes:)

Fantastic experience: We stopped in for a swim and were stunned by the facility, and the pool in particular. The facility is spacious when you walk in with lots of art adorning the walls. Open concept gym to your right and the reception desk immediately ahead. The main pool was set up for a lane swim, and there was a warmer shallow pool with jets off to one side.

Positive experience: Nice, clean facility. Staff are generally helpful and kind. Would really appreciate more classes offered in the evenings/weekends like the Taggart YMCA. Some class instructors are absolutely wonderful (e.g. yoga) while others rely on the same routine/workouts every class and copy YouTube workouts (Zumba). Overall good experience.

Fantastic experience: Used to be my go to gym before moving out if town. Not a huge gym but it has the essentials and the access to the large pool is amazing, it was the main reason I came here. Staff is friendly, and cost is reasonable given the access to the pool. Also in the building is a small cafe and the library downstairs. You could really spend a whole day here if you wanted to!

Fantastic experience: The joined basketball court is a definite plus. Update march 2022 : hours are not as convenient as pre Covid. Closing at 8 and not open on Sunday. Wont complain as I am thankful it is finally open again.

Positive experience: Really expensive for swimming. Update* family membership (2 adults, 2 children) not too bad for cost if you can find classes that everyone in the family will enjoy. U get 2 classes per person plus free swimming (during open swim/lane swim etc)

Positive experience: Absolutely ridiculous not to have opened well before now. The YMCA has let the community down. Will it open on November 1st??? Who knows? You can't get any staff to answer the phone or the question. Shame on the YMCA.

Positive experience: It takes one message to let everyone know when you will be expecting to open. Every gym has re-opened yet they are still closed.

Positive experience: It does the job but it’s unfortunate that the hours are so limited. Can’t go before work because they’re not open. And also half of the machines either don’t work or make noises they shouldn’t be making.

Positive experience: I do realize that things have been weird due to the Covid, but communication is such a simple thing to resolve. The first time I called, the voice message said "We are closed until April". This was in June. On July 14, when I called again, the general mail box was full so I was unable to leave a message. It would be so easy to have a welcoming message saying when you were opening and what the rules will be. Or even update your web page with this information to keep this small cummunity informed.

Negative experience: I think it's a shame that the Y has not reopened since the pandemic. The kids/adults of this community need a place to go and work out. Why is it that all services have reopened and not you guys. We could use the gym, bring our equipment and reserve for 1 hour time slots. Reservations could be taken online. There are measures to respect wherever we enter so why not at the Y? It's very sad!!!!!

Negative experience: The manager and well-connected non-intellect (as per her own claim) person of this Y has done tremendous work in hurting the library users with her continuous neglect the of their complaints of the Zumba Loud music heard in the library Hall!! Not only that, even her YMCA place is not well-maintained and always in broken situation (watch video) in addition to others. Finally, she conspired-on and intimidated complainers like myself to ban them from this (only pool in the area!!!) much needed facility just because they voiced the concerns!!! Shameful management indeed and hope this place will change soon or to see competition jump in to end this monopoly!

Fantastic experience: Love the various programs they have for both adults and children of various ages. The place is clean and kept in great condition. The warm pool is great for infant babies and there is a lot of toys supplied for adults to use with their children. It would be nice if they had more parking for parents with children or for expectant mothers.

Fantastic experience: J'ai toujours du plaisir aller au YMCA. La piscine est très grand et bien réchaufé. Oubliez pas de regarde l'horraire de la piscine avent de vour déplacer! Le personnelle est très gentie! Et ils ont également un très beau gym!

Fantastic experience: Came here for a free swim during the march break. Kids and I had a great time. Nice, clean and well maintained facilities. Big pool has a mini lazy river, small pool is nicely heated.

Fantastic experience: Everything is there for men . women and children.. fitness wise. Just to mention a few things.. swimming pool ..showers..exercise gyms.basketball courts.. library.. computer rooms. All connected to the local Franco high school. Very fortunate students...free parking....

Negative experience: Is NOT the largest in the region. There is no childcare. The fitness area is right in the middle of everything, no privacy. What a lousy YMCA. For shame. What a waste of money....plus!! 3 member family membership!! Useless..

Positive experience: Charging for towels now - Teachers/Lifeguards engage in personal conversations not suitable for kids - Some female lifeguards need new bathing suits as their butts are hanging out, kids noticing and giggling, boys teasing - Almost all family room and mom/child showers are working poorly Staff overall are nice and gym area is okay, clean.

Positive experience: Good facility with newer equipment. Very brightly lit by ambient light during the day, helpful staff. Because it is a smaller community, the variety of different programs can be lacking, but the ones they are able to offer are top notch. Largest YMCA taekwondo program in all of Ontario!

Fantastic experience: Clean, well-lit facility. Staff behind the desk are very well-informed about the classes provided, as well as any questions about the facility. Equipment is well-maintained and cleaning cloths are switched out regularly for new clean cloths. Atmosphere is non-discriminating and makes for an enjoyable workout experience. Locker rooms are also very clean and well-kept. The classes are easy to sign up for but fill up fast. I have personally signed up for several of the yoga and pilates classes and the instructors are awesome.
