Arashi Do Martial Arts, Red Deer

Fantastic experience: The facility is almost as fantastic as the team that operates it. I am doing muay thai and jiu jitsu and the level of instruction in both disciplines is of the highest quality. Above all else though, its a very welcoming group of students and instructors alike. From kids to adults, this is a great place to start a martial arts journey.

Fantastic experience: Top notch BJJ instruction for all age groups (there isn't a better kids program in Central Alberta, guaranteed) . Coaches here are committed and knowledgeable and invested in their students. I've trained in alot of martial art gyms around the world and few compare in atmosphere and demeanor to whats provided here

Negative experience: Gary Vig has a big ego. I was in his classes many years ago and he made a 11 year old cry because of his Kata stance. If that's your idea of discipline to make someone look weak in front of their peers you need a big reality check.

They run great classes, have highly skilled competitors and it’s a welcoming environment. There are also no egos, which makes for a great training experience. Can’t wait to train there again!

Fantastic experience: My 8 year old started training in Brazilian jiu jitsu at Arashi Do Red Deer a year ago. We absolutely love this gym. All of the coaches are amazing with the kids, and are incredible role models. My son's confidence and athleticism has increased by leaps and bounds over the past year. I highly recommend this gym.
