Positive experience: Pros : it’s a gym . Employees seem nice. Cons: limited hours without membership. Equipment is older. Wont let you split a punch card which is ridiculous and not the norm. Lame money grab.

Fantastic experience: Used this gym while on vacation. It is perfect: All the cardio equipment, weight equipment, and free weights you need. Week pass was $40, which is a fair price. Opens early on weekdays (5:30 am) and closes at 9:00 pm. The owner is friendly and helpful. Finally, great smoothies and I was able to buy creatine, which I forgot at home.

Fantastic experience: Very helpful, I couldn’t belive how well we were treated for not being locals. Highly recommend, has all the equipment needed for any exercise.

Fantastic experience: Great gym that will welcome anyone and help out where they can! Supportive owners and staff has always been this gyms MO for as long as I have popped in (dating back to 2005)… by far the best gym in Port Alberni! No power lifting platforms BUT unlike other places they do have half a dozen or more bench press options!

Negative experience: Wanted to sign up today! Called at 12, they said they will be open till 3. Reached the gym at 2:50, it was closed, no body answered the phone!

Positive experience: Very friendly staff, it's a small location with alot of equipment so it can feel busy sometimes but everyone seems to be very respectful of your space .

Fantastic experience: I've only ever visited in passing (7 years ago), and never trained there. But, based on my initial impression from then, IF I ever came to Port Alberni, and wanted a place to train, Alberni Fitness Center would be it.

Fantastic experience: They have all the equipment you need to fulfill your goals! Wonderful, supportive staff and environment. It is a clean and tidy gym. Very friendly clients as well and I am glad to be a part of their accepting community!

Positive experience: Nice gym. Interesting layout for a gym. The building has 4 separate levels which makes for numerous zones or areas. Very different from an open floor concept. As it turns out, the multiple levels and zones works great under the current Covid-19 situation. The layout keeps people quiet separated from each other. I am a newer member and so far I quit like Alberni Fitness. Pretty good equipment, friendly people, helpful owners and staff.

Fantastic experience: This fitness centre had the most amazing, kind and gentle staff. The space is super cute with lots of, what looked to be well maintained equipment. The women's washrooms and showers are also super clean and comfortable. It was hot out but the AC kept temperatures in perfect workout temps.

Fantastic experience: Alberni Fitness is a very welcoming place. There is a huge variety of equipment, and Trish and Kenny are always on hand to explain each machine if you request help. Clean facilities also. I highly recommend it!
